I really like this location! I ordered thru the app; when I got to the speaker and said I had a mobile order, a cheerful voice said, "Is this Heather?" It put a smile on my face! There are two drive thru lanes for ordering and many spaces to the side for mobile and drive-thru orders. This location also has excellent location to the highway. read more

Placed an online order to pick up curbside. I ordered two grinch meals. One Big Mac meal and one nugget meal. Pulled up and waited 15 minutes. While waiting, cars are in and out of the drive thru in no time. After 15 minutes, I pulled around to the drive thru line. I spoke with someone regarding my order. I asked if there was an issue on my end when checking in on the app. I was informed there was no issue and that the delay was cause by running out of nuggets. They said the next round of nuggets has two minutes left and then they're done. I stated that was no problem and asked if I should continue on in the drive thru line or if they wanted me to go back to my curbside spot. They instructed me to return to curbside. I waited another 25 minutes. Again, while waiting the drive thru line was short and people were in and out with no delay. I was the only one stuck waiting this long for food. I then called my husband and asked him to call and ask the status of my order. He spoke to someone that again said the delay was cause by waiting for nuggets. They said the nuggets will be done in five minutes. My husband informed them that I was told 25 minutes ago the nuggets would be done in 2 minutes. They again just said for us to wait 5 more minutes. Finally, after waiting a total of 45 minutes, I received my order. I requested ranch online. Didn't receive that. After waiting that long I would've appreciated my order being correct. I was expecting delays due to the grind meals being popular but 45 minutes and everyone else was getting their food quickly is ridiculous. I understand this is not the problem of the minimum wage worked in the drive thru and I do not blame them at all but not once was I approached by a manager to be given an update over that 45 period. There was no communication on what was happening with my order. It's also frustrating that ordering ahead is an option to "skip the line" but then I get there and it's a 45 minutes delay. A regular, sit down restaurant would've gotten my food out sooner. If something like this would've occurred at a different fast food place like chick fil a, I would've been updated regularly, been comped for the meal or given food vouchers. Overall, I'm upset about the wait time, lack of communication and then the order not even having everything I requested. read more

Heading home from SA to Dallas we stopped in for a bite. This McDonald's is busy, new, and has a wonderful staff! Everything we had was fresh cooked, and the Playplace is extremely clean. Came to this location today on my drive from Austin to Dallas. I don't normally bother to write a Yelp review for fast restaurants but the woman who was running this location was so amazing I just had to do it. The minute we walked in we knew it was going to be a positive experience. Miss Gloria greeted us with a friendly smile, offered to help us use the interactive ordering kiosk, all while she was helping other customers, making coffee, checking on the hash browns, etc. She also runs around bringing everyone their orders out to the tables with her big smile, of course. She is a delight and so is another employee named Stephanie who came around to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Is this the Twilight Zone? Did I stumble into an alternate universe? The service here is better than at a lot of fancy restaurants I've been to. By the way, it's also very clean and the food was freshly made and delish. This location should serve as a model for all McDonald's. If I were the owner of this restaurant I would give Miss Gloria a big raise because employees like this do not come along every day! While placing my order, I made sure I requested ketchup for my fries... extra actually. The polite girl at the window said "ok" and "I'll have your total for you at the window". When I was handed my bag, I asked it there was ketchup in there for the fries and she then replied, "I'm sorry, we're out of ketchup." I just looked at her in disbelief. I held my tongue. Didn't want to be abusive to the kid, but first off, why wouldn't you tell me that when I ordered?!?! But beyond that.... WHAT?! Out of ketchup? Seriously? Talk about a major screw up! Very sad shape. If we have to go to the restroom and there is not a rest area available during our travels we have always counted on McDonald's because in addition to being a quick stop to grab an ice cream cone or an Egg McMuffin the restrooms have always been clean. This McDonald's was the exception to the rule. I walked in the bathroom and began to try to open the lavatory doors. There were four in a row and then one that was handicapped accessible. As I went down the rowvtrying to open the doors three of the four were locked. However there was no one in the restroom but me. I stepped out and got the attention of a gentleman who was sweeping. I explain that I wasn't sure how to get into the restrooms and asked if I needed a key..... He came in the restroom with me -after yelling out to make sure there were no other ladies in the restroom -and after looking over the situation said it was possible that the three doors that were locked was because the toilets were malfunctioning. When he opened the fourth door he saw what a mess it was and that the toilet was also overflowing. I went ahead and used the handicap accessible stall -it was the only one available. I should've quit while I was ahead but I went ahead and walked up to order a sausage egg and cheese McMuffin for the Hubster and an Oatmeal for myself. I was surrounded by people waiting for their orders. While waiting for my items a couple of different people came in with their orders in their hands telling the staff that they were given the wrong order. I then saw a manager having to take about five minutes to offer an explanation re:something that had been done wrong with their order and charge. After five minutes the sandwich and oatmeal or handed over to me. His sandwich was nice and hot and fresh and that is why I offered a star. My oatmeal was the worst thing I have ever tasted. It was very gluey and congealed and probably had been made for hours earlier and possibly never stirred. It was tasteless with a bed texture. The cranberries they sprinkle on top are dry so it was hard to mess those up however the fresh apple was either spoiled or rancid which rendered the oatmeal inedible. Normally I would say this is a pretty good McDonald's but today not so much I ordered a 20 piece chicken nugget and after opening it up the nuggets were Room temperature very stale like they were underneath a light for who knows how long and there was only 14 in the box. I can't say enough good things about this McDonald's! We were just driving back home from Dallas and happened upon the best McDonald's experience ever! 1.) 5 * Customer Service - not only was the guy who took our order professional and friendly, he had excellent diction, which was just a notably cool thing. I ordered a vanilla milkshake along with our food and he immediately said that the machine was down, but he'd try his best to come up with something. He hand made the vanilla shake with a blender and warm milk. It was the best fast food milkshake Ever! Oh, and we got through the line in less than a minute! 2.) 5 * Food - Everything, including the Coke, tasted like the way McDonald's used to be! The perfectly cooked burger meat, and crispy nuggets, the freshly made and lightly salted fries, were all excellent. You can definitely tell this particular McDonald's is managed well! The quality of the food at this McDonalds is typical for fast food restaurants. Unfortunately, the problem at this location is the staff. A trip through the drive thru is hit or miss. On my trip today, I didn't receive any sauces for a 20-piece McNuggets meal even though I'd requested some. Staff was terse in their comments and were more interested getting rid of the customer than service. If management had decided to work on the customer service aspect, the reviews would be better. I went to this McDonald's to get dinner for my family. As I pulled in, the manager(general Manager Dewayne) was yelling at an employee and talking down to her out in the open in front of customers and other employees. I have been to this restaurant numerous time and the one employee that always stood out was Nicole. She has a smile on her face and so polite to all even though she had to deal with customers yelling about something. She never lost her smile. The so called manager was totally in the wrong. I have had his position in fast food and the proper way to handle that would have been to take her to the office in private and talk to her. I have noticed more than once that this guy as well as other managers would rather be on their phones than to help in the store. It's wrong and Dewayne was wrong. I personally would fire him or demote him to an employee and see if he does any better when management would rather walk around and play on the phone than to help his people get orders put. He's not a manager that cares about anything he just wants a job that makes him look or feel important and to boss people around and belittle them. Nicole keep up the good work and thank you for always being polite and keeping a smile no matter what mood your in. You are appreciated by many people that come into that restaurant. If you want to eat in the WORST (brand new location also) McDonald's in the US, stop at the one in Italy. The kiosk is annoying and you are all but forced to use it. Don't EVER request something 'customized' as they call it on the menu, it throw's off their entire program. It took me 34 minutes to get an order one night; with only 5 other customers in the store! They offered me an apple pie for the delay. And when they are 'out' of grilled chicken for a salad, it's a 30 minute wait for them to cook you some! The worst part is; NO ONE CARES. I've stood at their counter for over 7 minutes and no one would do a thing, they'd look at me, then continue with their "assigned" task like a robot.
