I'm 43 so in my history of going to McDonalds I have good terrible and everything in between. This visit I went through the drive through and ordered a medium and Large fry. Ok, firstly it was quick, and second the fries were fresh and NOT TOO SALTY. When I say they were so fresh it tasted like they just peeled and cut the potatoes to make them. I used to love McDonald's. There was something magical about it, the nostalgia, the self-serve soda fountains, the condiments island where you could take as many napkins as your heart desired without judgment. It felt like a place built for the people. Today I returned for one reason and one reason only: the Shamrock Shake. I rarely go to McDonald's anymore, but that minty green legend still calls to me once a year like a seasonal siren. Unfortunately, the experience was... bizarre. When we walked in, we were greeted by absolutely no one. No hello, no eye contact, just a glowing tablet waiting for me to place my order like I was checking in for a flight. Sure, kiosks can be convenient, but it's a little unsettling to order from a robot while the humans behind the counter pretend you don't exist. But that wasn't even the real issue. After ordering a very simple meal including the Shamrock Shake, the entire reason for the pilgrimage we sat down in a dining room that had a strange vibe. The decorations looked like someone tried to combine Easter, modern art, and maybe a Pride parade and then stopped halfway through. I couldn't tell what the theme was supposed to be, but it definitely wasn't "welcoming fast food restaurant." Then a worker came over and informed us they didn't have Shamrock Shakes because the machine had been having problems. This is wild to me. The Shamrock Shake is available for roughly one month out of the entire year, and it's being advertised on giant signs outside the building. How are you going to run out of the one thing people show up for? My heart sank. My mouth had been mentally preparing all day for that cold minty joy. Instead, I was offered a different shake, ice cream, or a smoothie. Absolutely not. That's like going to see a concert and being told the band isn't there but someone can play the recorder for you instead. Naturally, I asked for a refund. That process somehow took 15 minutes and involved confusion about whether Apple Pay would work, whether they needed my card, and whether cash was possible. First Apple Pay wouldn't work. Then cash wasn't an option. Then suddenly Apple Pay did work after all. It was like watching a live demonstration of people learning the register system for the first time. Meanwhile, the drink situation is another mystery. McDonald's used to have self-serve beverage stations. Now you have to ask the staff for a refill. When I asked for one, they told me to throw away my cup and they'd give me a new one. I'm no economist, but that seems more expensive than just letting people refill their own cup. The building itself looked recently remodeled and was mostly clean, though the bathroom smelled like someone had just completed a biological experiment in there. The mirror was a bit dirty and the exhaust fan looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the Clinton administration. But the true highlight of the visit was my burger. I ordered a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese or, if you've seen the legendary film Pulp Fiction, the famous "Royale with Cheese." What I received was a minimalist masterpiece: Bread Cheese Meat Meat Bread That's it. No toppings. No sauce. No flavor. No joy. Just the architectural blueprint of a burger. There was absolutely no explosion of flavor just two lonely patties and a slice of cheese staring back at me like they knew they had failed. Overall, the facility is decent, but the service and organization were shockingly poor. The staff seemed confused by basic questions, the shake machine was broken during the one month it matters, and the food came out wrong anyway. Honestly it just gotta be this location I have a problem with. For some reason everytime I come here their systems are down and the service is terrible. I've stood for 10min waiting for my cup in the lobby when I've already received my food... you could see the employees laughing making conversation in the corner and making eyes contact but seem to be too wrapped in their conversation to do their job. Not to mention anytime I go through the drive-through at night. They're all far too concerned about closing rather than helping the customer in front of them . Really disappointed with the constant let down of this location... very please to hear another one opening! My business will not be back here. read more

It just seems impossible to get the correct order here, especially unsweetened ice tea. Constantly get sweetened whether ordered through drive-thru and delivery. McDonald's is located in a safe location off of I-35 with an easy to enter and exit location in front of Target. This facility has average speed to order as they always have a line but the employees are pretty nice. That said I'll be brief as if you've been to McDonalds, outside of service, the food should be about the same. As far as sides go, their fries are good, when hot which is hit or miss here. The nuggets are much the same way, their good when hot but I'd say that's only 4 out of 10 times for me. Be sure to ask for your sauce and check the bag as the servers miss it often as well. Their soft drinks are much like any other chain however if you like shakes, good luck. Most of the time the machines are down, just as the popular rumors state. Again, if you've had McDonald's before there food should be familiar to you. The Big Mac I generally find dry as they just don't put much sauce on it. To many times I've seen the middle bun "naked." When they have my guilty pleasure on sale, that being the McRibb around Thxgiving & Xmas the flavor is on point however it's always a sloppy mess. I'm not sure if they employees intentionally miss the target putting it together or b/c of the sauce it slides off. Either way, I wish things held together better but the flavor is decadent stupidity. Their chicken sandwiches I'd probably rate the lowest of the fast-food restaurants since they're dry, only have pickles and are small. Add that along with not having a grilled option, at least at this restaurant means I have to go elsewhere for a chicken fix. Overall, I don't eat fast-food often and when I do McDonald's is a once in a year thing for me at best and generally it's when the McRibb is in stock around the holidays. To be honest when I eat their food in about 30 minutes my body starts crashing. This facility is on par with any McDonalds so if you're craving it, you know what you're getting. However, with inflation where it is, my hard earned dollar serves me better elsewhere and that's a corporation gripe, not this location specifically. read more

I primarily use mobile ordering. This McDonald's just consistently makes mistakes on orders. It's fine if you don't make any modifications or special requests. But if you have a simple request on things like no ketchup, extra pickles, etc it consistently does not turn out that way. A lot of these by the time you get home it's too late when you notice it. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. They got my order wrong. I asked for sauces as they asked me to park at a number. Once my order was brought I did not receive any sauces. Good morning McDonald's. Was heading to Chick-fil-A so that we can have something to eat this morning since we are on the road. Never really liked Chick-fil-A breakfast because their breakfast biscuit sandwiches fall apart in the car. so we canceled and drove next-door to McDonald's because your food is consistent regardless of the service. So we ordered the breakfast sandwich and it was on par that we had experienced in the past. It seems to be just as busy here through the drive-through. We are seven cars in and made it through with no problem at all. I think we waited less than five minutes. How is that for service. I've only been here once, but I was impressed how quickly the line went through. As far as ambience is concerned, the parking lot was clean. Every parking stall was filled. I went there around 11 last nite. The order taker couldn't repeat back what I had asked for and kept getting it wrong so I asked for a supervisor and was then told fish wasn't served after 11pm. I pulled up to window, no one was there, then the next window and asked for the manager. Yala or something poked her head out and had a terrible attitude and told me neither fish nor chicken was served after 11 pm. I had just gotten a McChicken the night before, when it was a whole different crew, the one that always works there. The food was exactly what I expected for McDonalds no mistakes made in the order. The low stars was for customer service, they got my order in the intercom of the drive through and it was near the end of breakfast time, and when I pulled up to the window I inquired exactly like this "hey is it still breakfast time" because I did want to make an adjustment to the order. They didn't even answer my original question, they just immediately said "I think we can no longer change the order." I sit there in amazement of the person who takes orders and edits orders is sitting there telling me that they cannot change my order at all. Yes I did pull in at a weird time, I understand that. But to immediately get told that I can't change my order before I can even ask is absurd. I have friends that work at McDonalds although they complain about certain things that happen, they would have at least changed the order. I should have immediately said "do you think you can't change the order, or do you know you can't change the order" or ask for a manager off the bat. The way it rubbed off on me made me feel (pardon my French) shitty, but I just stayed quit and handed my card and continued the transaction that I didn't want to make because it was not what I wanted. Just to recap food standard, drive through time minimal and customer service made me feel like I wasn't worth their time. I hope McDonalds can take this feedback and improve upon it, I really do love to eat at McDonalds and I hate to see the chain loose the shine that it used to have back when I was a kid. It's McDonalds. I gave it yet another chance. The one thing about them is that no matter how shitty the food is, you can always count on there Coca-Cola to be served ice cold, bubbly, and with the perfect mixture and syrup. Only Taco Cabanas Cokes came as close to a Mickey Ds. The fries are so so, every other one is good, and fried with plenty of trans fats and hydrogenated oils. The perfect testosterone killer, ha. The Quarter Pounder used to be there go to, but now the buns are hard, and not as fresh as they used to. The Pattie's are now overcooked in the microwave, and they skimp out on onions and pickles, which usually are crappy anyways. So why do I keep going back you say? Like most of us, we have kids that sat dad I want McDonald's. Rolling my eyes, I say ok we haven't been there in a while. The chicken nuggets in the meal are just ok. The sprite is on point. The service has been lousy lately, taking way to long in the drive thru. Is everyone else ordering a quarter pounder or they just playing on their cell phones? The inside of the restaurant is usually very dirty with trash and napkins on the floor. The outdoor trash can is always full. If they can't handle the business they are in, they shouldn't be doing it. Every time I ordered from them, I always come up short. Today my wife and 1 of my 3 granddaughters did not receive their food. And they don't give refunds or correct the problem. They say that it is the delivery company problem, they should make certain everything is there. They seal up the orders and will not allow the drivers to look inside, so how is it the delivery company fault. (First time coming to this location. So by the previous reviews. Take my opinion lightly.) The family came here to get a quick lunch. Was pretty packed in the drive thru. The line was moving pretty quickly. Everything was pleasant from ordering to receiving our food. All our items were made exact. Everything different I wanted done to my burger was done precisely. The buns were perfectly toasted. Almost like eating a grilled cheese. The bun wasn't runny from the butter oil. And it wasn't plain tasting. French fries tasted amazing. Fresh oil goes a long way with taste when it comes down to French fries. This was definitely the best tasting McDonald's meal we've all had in a very long time.
