Half filled cup for full price!

We ordered Mac Flurries at this location and got half a cup of ice cream with enough cookies but the cookies weren't blended in just sitting on top. If you're going to put a high lid on the cup at least you could fill the cup to the top!! This was $1.50 worth of ice cream for $3.25!!! Don't order!!!

I'm going keto tomorrow so today I decided to get McDonald's to celebrate final meal of all the things I can't have. I was very disappointed when my delicious quarter pounder arrived like it had been mauled by a group of dogs. The people at the window had me wait for about 7 to 10 minutes didn't communicate with me at all during that time didn't ask me to pull over and when I got my food it was cold so I can't imagine why they needed to take 10 minutes to make my food very disappointed never going back.

Another good one is that kale salad with grilled chicken nuggets chopped into it. The mobile app situation is incredible. I place the order when we head out to the restaurant, and say I'm there about 5 minutes before we arrive (there's a spot where the timing is perfect) and we walk right in and it's ready. Store is neat and clean and staff is efficient. I've been to others that have friendlier or more chatty staff - however those were never locations I'd go to more than maybe once a year at best. So that said, I'll take fast, clean, quick and efficient over niceties any day. Even more impressive is that it's a very youthful staff so kudos to management too. Last reco - use the app you get points and free stuff quite often. My husband has gotten a brownie with points for every meal since after our first order, and the lake Oswego location offered a free fries for today's trip that we could double up with using points for his brownie!

That said, time and time again, the company removes really great things from the menu, and doesn't replace them with something equitable and it's a bit of a bummer. First for me, the chicken sandwich with the peppers and the aardvark sauce - it was there for the first several years we lived in Oregon, I got it without a bun and it was amazing! It wasn't a seasonal item, just an awesome one! Now, just a plain chicken sandwich that was in the menu before. Then, the cowboy and chicken sliders - we went into get lunch - the cowboy sliders are my husbands absolute favorite and I love the chicken ones. Gone! And no more sweet potato fries. We couldn't land on anything we wanted to order so we left. Let me say I LOVE the local flair and the seasonal items - but it has been such a bummer to see great items come off the menu. Potentially we are the odd ones out and they didn't sell well, and then for that I guess I say fine lol. But man! Those items were so good, and at least for us, as a couple that doesn't really do fast food, were a key differentiator for this chain.

I had the steak and chicken bowl, and my father had the barrera tacos, and we both were very satisfied. The lunch was very affordable, which I appreciated. I look forward to trying their chicken; it looked and smelled delicious. The service was great. The guy who took our order was very polite. They gave us one of those pagers that buzzes when it's ready. The ambiance was cool. It reminded me of a taco shop in LA. It had two separate seating areas. One was large, with flat screens, and the other was smaller near the register; both were comfortable and had ample seating. This place is literally seven minutes from my house. I will most certainly be back.

When we walked in for a Sunday dinner, we were greeted with the smell of roasting chicken and charcoal, a promising sign from the very start. It was pretty busy inside, but after ordering at the counter, the food only took about 15 minutes to arrive. Whole Chicken Meal ($27.74) - The meal comes with two 12 oz sides, an 8oz salsa, and either corn or flour tortillas. For the sides we went with the classic Mexican Rice and the Refried Beans. Both are pretty standard stuff from a Mexican restaurant. The rice is tender with still distinct grains, has an reddish color from tomatoes, and adds a scant amount of veggies mixed through. The beans are mostly smooth throughout, fatty and creamy. We went with the corn tortillas, of which they provide a whole stack of twelve, warmed until steaming, making them hot, soft, and pliable, perfect to eat with the chicken and sides. The chicken is legitimately amazing. Basically the entire restaurant smells like chicken fat being charred over mesquite. It's a mesmerizing smell that made me salivate upon walking in. The chicken is whole roasted with the dark meat and wings being cooked until succulent and juicy. The interior of the breasts are a bit dry, but there's not much that can be done with this cooking method! Otherwise, the char is excellent, creating an almost crust-like nature to the skin and the spice mix imbues a yellow glow to the entire tray. They give so much food that we only finished perhaps a quarter of it. We ended up bringing the rest home on our drive up the next day and ate it for another couple of meals. (5/5) I especially love their salsa bar off to the side of the main counter. There's so much variety, there's surely something to please anyone. They have a mild tomato, a mild but smoky, a spicy and fruity, a green tangy tomatillo, a creamy avocado, a crunchy fresh pico de gallo, a smoky and spicy, and a tangy and spicy salsa - basically all combinations someone could ask for. Even the spiciest additions are still very tolerable to my tastes. We were impressed enough to visit again the next day for lunch: Supreme Burrito al Pastor ($14.37) - This is hefty burrito, almost Mission-sized, being around 4 inch in diameter with the weight to match. It's first filled with plenty of Mexican rice, same as with the meal. For some reason, this time, the rice is hard and tough, like they had reached down to scrape the bottom of the rice cooker. It would likely be the most coveted portion of rice in a tagine or clay pot, but in a burrito, the toughness doesn't work well. On top of the rice are the refried beans, spooned over intermittently. It adds creaminess and fat to the otherwise dry exterior layers. Then the layer of meat begins - cubed pork, marinated in a savory and sweet sauce, then mixed up with chopped pineapples. It's more adobada than al pastor, and is on the sweeter end of things with the pineapple. The spice mixture isn't the most notable; they definitely focus on the chicken at El Jefe vs. the pork. Veggies, including lettuce and a pico de gallo mix cover the meat, followed by thinly shredded cheese and sour cream, which is thick and rich, perhaps more resembling crema than cream, and some guacamole, tangy and fatty. It's not the most even application - for example, the guac only covers one end of the burrito while the sour cream covers the other end. (4/5) I have to say, the chicken served at EL Jefe Grill is perfection. I would revisit just for that. Bathrooms - Two unisex rooms Note: El Jefe charges a 2.9% credit card fee. This is displayed at the register, but they have their POS set up incorrectly. Firstly, they lump the cost into the menu item instead of separating it out into a fee. Secondly, they actually charge a random fee rather than 2.9%. For example, the whole chicken meal is 3.1% and the supreme burrito is 2.7%. Very bizarre. I reported it to their management so hopefully it gets fixed soon.

I wasn't dying of hunger, but i wanted to resolve my issue quickly. I looked around...yeah i could have a MOD pizza. After a few minutes i walked up to the restaurant and strolled in. MOD pizza always has such a chill atmosphere. I ordered the Tristin as per usual with artichoke hearts, and a couple extra toppings. The pizza was very tasty and I brought about 1/3 of it home for a snack the next day. My only complaint was that while it wasn't "undercooked", it wasn't as crispy as I like it. I didn't request it to be "well baked" though. It was quite tasty still.

Everything goes through their oven and comes out hot and fresh. It does feel a little pricey for the size, especially when you add extras like the cauliflower crust, which is about $3.50 more. Unlimited drinks are also priced similarly. They also offer canned wine and beer, plus dessert cakes if you're in the mood for something sweet. The pizza itself was delicious--perfectly baked and very flavorful. The crust was on the thinner side, which is great if you love thin-crust pizza, but a slightly thicker crust would probably hold up better, especially if you load on a lot of toppings. There's definitely a fine balance when it comes to ingredients, since too many can overpower each other, so it may take a visit or two to dial in the perfect combo. I loved the variety of topping options, and if you're not into customizing, they also have some solid pre-selected pizzas to choose from. The staff was excellent and super accommodating, making the pizza exactly how we wanted it. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside, and parking was easy. Overall, great quality and customization, just a bit pricey for the portion--but still a solid spot worth checking out.
