Wish I could give this place 1 star. First messed up my order then asked for ranch that I ordered and they said I would have to order my whole order again. I get when some places have a few people on shift that don't know what they are doing but to have the manager disregard me after showing her my bag right after they gave it to me when I asked for the ranch and told me you have to reorder your whole mean again to get a packet of ranch may be the most funniest but irritating thing I have ever experienced.

Spam, eggs and rice--at McDonald's on Kauai!

Nothing says Mickey D's on the islands like spam and eggs and rice for breakfast...or a Portuguese sausage option, too. Wish the mainland would take a page for McDonald's Hawaii!!!

8:10 pm where do you go for an iced coffee on Kauai? McD saved us cuz there were no 7 Elrvens or other Fadt Food chains in Lihue at this hour. Looks like this is the place to be on a Friday nite. So dark, kinda spooky. Ordering Oreo frappe snd vanilla iced coffee.

It's a McDonalds like most McDonalds: busy drive through, few people inside, mostly clean, and competent workers. We got our Egg McMuffins quickly. They were hot and good. We sat in a booth watching the drive through line stack up, and move quickly. We had to ask for water refills as the beverage station was cordoned off - employees only. It said no refills, so we had to get 2 new cups. They are trying to be cautious about germs.

Unbelievable! All my 36 years @ Lihue McDonald's, this is the first time I have seen this mockery. Seriously at the drive thru ordered a medium double quarter pounder meal and it looks like they didn't fill up my coke drink! Damn near 2 inches WTH?

The first night, my husband ordered the prime rib special with mac salad and rice, which was basically his dream come true, and I got the loco moco, which I shared with my toddler. Everything was flavorful, comforting, and exactly what we were craving. We enjoyed it so much that we came back on our final night and ordered the galbi and lechon kawali. Once again, every dish was a hit. The proteins were flavorful and filling, and the mac salad deserves its own shoutout. It may be my favorite mac salad on the island. This is absolutely the kind of place we'll return to on our next visit. It's also conveniently located near the airport, making it a great first stop when you arrive or a last meal before heading home. A couple things to know before you go: parking was easy when we visited, but there isn't any seating. This is very much a pick-up-and-go spot. I'd recommend calling ahead and placing your order so you're not waiting around. Great food, generous portions, and the kind of local spot you hope to find when traveling. We'll definitely be back.

For a business that proudly advertises itself as family- and child-friendly, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. Apparently, that welcome only extends to families whose children fit a certain mold. Not every child can eat restaurant food. Not every family wants to publicly disclose their child's personal challenges to satisfy a hostess. A little compassion, discretion, and common sense would have gone a long way. Instead, we were made to feel unwelcome and chose to leave. Families with children who have sensory, developmental, medical, or other special considerations should be aware that they may not receive the understanding or accommodation they would reasonably expect from a "family-friendly" establishment. We will not be returning.

We started with the Furikake Fries, which were packed with flavor and the perfect way to kick off the meal. For burgers, we ordered the Hapa Burger and the Kenji Burger, and both were outstanding. The food was so good that we ended up ordering a Lobster Burrito as a second round just so we could try more of the menu. It was a great decision and did not disappoint. The bun was soft and delicious, and the chicken itself was juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The coleslaw on it really tied everything together and added a nice crunch and freshness. We also tried the truffle burger, and that one was the standout. It felt a bit more "fancy" than your typical burger, really rich and flavorful with melted cheese, arugula, etc. That one was easily the best item we had. The fries were crispy, golden, and well-seasoned, rounding out the meal nicely.

I gotta give it up to this Taco Bell in Lihue!!!!…read more Yeah, yeah, yeah...........I see the 2.5 overall rating of this fast food joint, but let Bruddah Fran state his case for da Bell. First of all, going to da Bell wasn't in my original plans, as I originally was trying to go to - "Daddy O's" in Lihue, but when I got there, it was closed. (Insert SAD Panda face here). Unfortunately for me, when I was doing work in Lihue I got hung up on a job, and by the time I got out, I really didn't have too much time left to grab something to eat before heading back to the airport to catch my flight home......... this is where Taco Bell came to my rescue. I'll be straight with you guys...........the food that I got the particular day when I came to this Taco Bell was a Solid "5", but the speed of service here is a SOLID "2", thus my overall score of a Solid 3.5 for da Bell, but Bruddah Fran is going to be generous and round it off to a "4" because I actually enjoyed da grub! I noticed when I drove up to this Taco Bell just across the street from the Kukui Grove Shopping Center, there was a super long line of cars in the drive up. Not wanting to wait in the drive up, I decided to park my rental car in the large parking lot, & walk into the restaurant to place my food order (thinking that it would be faster, WRONG!). When I walked into the restaurant, there was only one guy ahead of me, and after he placed his food order, I immediately was helped right afterwards. Upon looking over the wall menu, I ended up getting one of them combo meal packages (I forgot what numba it was), but it came with (2) Chicken Chalupa's, and a Taco (which I substituted for a Chicken Taco) & a large drink. What can I say about the grub? I was so hangry that I chomped my hard shell taco before getting a photo (sorry guys), but when I bit into that taco, I must say it was one of the FRESHEST taco shells I've ever bit into from a Taco Bell! They must have just gotten a fresh batch!!! As of the Chalupa's, just look at my photos, and you will see how fresh the ingredients they used to build my Chicken Chalupa's. No complaints about the food, only the wait for my food which was super long (probably due to the endless long lines from the drive-up). The wait time was so long, I started to worry about making it back to the airport on time to catch my flight home, but at the end, everything worked out for me. I got my grub, and I made it back to the airport (on time) to catch my flight home..........it also helped that Hawaiian Airlines canceled my flight to fly out a little later. Lol! No rush for me I guess! Lol! Are you a FAN of da Bell? I guess you can say Bruddah Fran loves da Bell! Lol!
