There's always a certain nostalgia when we do stop here for my children. It's was a special treat when my grandparents took us to this location growing up -happy it's still around to share it with my children too. To the "hard to please" crowd- it's McDonalds, people. Great McDonald's that doesn't forget to add condiments food was fresh not sitting around

Years ago when the locals found out that McDonald's bought this property and wanted to build a restaurant there was quite an uproar. The locals do not want fast food chains taking over their bucolic landscape and I don't blame them. McDonald's assured everyone that this would be different. No giant golden arches sign and keeping with the atmosphere of the neighborhood the building would fit in with local architecture. They eventually succeeded in building at this location and did not disappoint, although some locals may disagree. This is probably the most low key McDonald's that successfully blends in with a neighborhood. In fact I pass it all the time and do not even notice it. Once you enter the restaurant it's similar to any other McDonald's and probably one of the cleanest I've been to. They serve a decent breakfast for great prices and service is fast. It's a great spot for breakfast if you are in a hurry and looking for a good breakfast at a reasonable price. Considering how high the prices are for some of the North Fork places for breakfast this is a great alternative. read more

Mickey D's. I happen to love this particular location as it is my yardstick for when I have to travel out to Orient Point to grab a ferry. Once I get to this McDonald's I know I only have about 25 minutes to go - depending on traffic to get to the end. This location always seems to be extra clean and well kept. The place sits in a very large piece of property and there is a ton of parking - kind of what you would expect to see along a major interstate. The food is standard McDonald's fare. read more

This is the best McDonald's I've ever been to. I'm not kidding. I've both eaten here, and picked up DoorDash orders from here and the service and care the staff put in is unparalleled. Easily the best fast food establishment I've ever been in. I'm not a native New Yorker, and this McDonald's is truly a hidden gem. read more

It's just the worse Mc Donald's ever. I got a buttermilk chicken sandwich and it was horrible, rubbery and hard like if it was old. French fries are horrible always undercook. Riverhead locations it's a little better. read more

Congratulations! You've found it, the world's worst McDonald's. I live in this neighborhood so I wish I didn't feel the need to write this review. Let's start, the food is typical McDonald's which you'd expect so this review is mainly about the short comings. No drive thru. Super slow, even when the place is empty. I went in on a Sunday at 11:05 and I realize they may serve breakfast a little later but it is my understanding you can get a hamburger after 11, even on Sunday at most McDonald's. It's lunchtime! I don't know, just take a typical McDonald's, remove all the convenience and Mattituck McDonald's is what you get. Sorry. read more

I stoped in for coffee and to use the restroom... the floor and toilets were never dried and covered in soap/ bleach. The employee who made my coffee was scrubbing the fryer and only removed one of her gloves to make my coffee, placing the lid on with the gloved hand! So it's a clean place but very absent mindedly. Reminds me of the taco bell in the 90's that cleaned the soda machine with bleach and inadvertently poisoned their customers. read more

I was driving threw mattituck around 8:30. I decided to pull in to grab a few Frappe's. I called everyone at home to see what flavor they wanted. I was disappointed at the fact they wouldn't serve me because the woman was cleaning the machine! It was only 8:30. So I didn't get anything. Not all McDoanlds are the same. Some are better than others. This location is actually one of the better McDonalds around. The food is usually hot and fresh. And the overall facility and rest rooms are nice and clean. Plenty of parking. read more
