If I could give ZERO stars I would. Every time I come here there's a different drive thru person. Today the guy barely understood what I was saying after repeating it several times. I pay, drive to the second window. Woman with very short hair hand me a bag without saying a word. I look into the bag and it's missing 20 piece nuggets and a large fry. I wait. She ignores me, finally after not budging she comes back and says "what". I explain to her I'm missing items. She said "no it's in the bag" when I say it's not she asks for the bag. I went through the drive through nice and speedy. I ordered the chicken nuggets and apple wedges and a Big N- Nasty so that I'll be full. I get home and my apple wedges are not there! It was partially my fault, I have learned over the years to double check my to go orders, but come-on, it was only a Happy Meal and an extra burger. 5:41pm on a Saturday afternoon, sunny out, not a cloud in the sky, 83-degrees and we're thirsty. How about a quick unsweetened ice tea from McDonald's? Don't bother trying here. There was one woman customer with two well behaved young children in front of me. I observed the cashier and at least four other employees, two of which wore headsets, and a woman in a managers uniform. The customer was slow at ordering and the cashier kept making eye contact with me and looking around to see if help was coming. The manager at one point was near the register next to him but made a point of not looking up. Other employees were looking at the growing crowd of customers, but none made a move to open another register. Finally, a young male employee stepped up and asked if he could help me. I ordered a large unsweetened ice tea, which caused a look of concern. He told me the price was $1.09, collected my $2.00 and said that he would be right back. He moved toward the back of the kitchen, checked something and then walked over to the drive-through pick-up window and checked something else. He then spoke to the woman manager. When he returned to me, he mumbled "sorry, we all out of unsweetened Iced tea" and handed me my $2.00 as a crumpled wad. We left. Really? Crappy lack of service by the manager leads to crappy service by the staff. If management doesn't acknowledge customers, why would employees? Out of ice tea on a hot summer day? Perhaps a bit of suggestive selling would work? "We apologize that we ran out of unsweetened ice tea. Could we buy you a Diet Coke instead?" The problem with this happening at a McDonald's is that with their overall volume of business, no one will care about this posting. I came here with my mom two nights ago after we both just got off work. It was advertised that McDonalds was giving a free "Thank You Meal" to all healthcare workers/frontliners and at the time, we haven't gotten a chance to take advantage of the offer so why not? We were quite tired and hungry and didn't want to make food at home so why not just take up the offer of a free meal advertised towards people like my mom and I working at hospitals? We go in the Drive Thru and specifically order two "Thank You Meals" because we are TWO healthcare workers and they tell us to come to the window to show our badge. We show our badges and the employee working insultingly said "They only work at the lab." to her manager and the way she said it kind of rubbed me the wrong way but whatever. Then her manager comes up and asks to see our badges again and he goes "You work in the lab? What do you do?" so I clearly said "We both draw blood". At this point, I was slightly annoyed but I thought to myself "you know, it's okay. Maybe it was a genuine question and he just wasn't sure what we truly do." Then we get our order and I notice they only gave us one meal so I kindly let them know we ordered two since we are two healthcare workers and the employee once again got her manager to talk to us. Her manager said "We can only give you one meal because you aren't even a part of our list. This is for healthcare employees and frontliners only. Meaning doctors, nurses, fire fighters, and police only" and this is when I felt disrespected because he's making it seem like we don't play a huge part in this pandemic as well belittling us by saying healthcare workers = doctors and nurses only. So my mom calmly said "We are healthcare workers. We work in the lab and work with many different patients everyday. We draw blood and process specimen to get results. We ARE healthcare workers." then the manager said "No, you are not a part of the list so we can only give you one meal" as if he's being generous by even giving us a meal in the first place. We just drove away after that because we didn't want to make a big fuss over a meal we weren't even paying for. We ended up going to another McDonald's (Landess) and got my mom's free meal with no issue. The main source of my problem with this is the fact they demeaned our positions in the healthcare system and implied we aren't healthcare workers just because we're not a nurse or a doctor. I also don't want to seem like I'm throwing a temper tantrum over something so small but my mom and I just felt disrespected and as if our efforts don't show in a time like this when we play a huge part in terms of testing for coronavirus. read more

This McDonalds and poorly run and really really sucks. Never gets orders right. Below are incidents that occurred during recent visits going through the drive-thru. 1) Got 20 piece chicken nuggets with hot mustard and sweet and sour sauce. When picking up my order, I asked to make sure there was sauce with the nuggets. He answered "YES" Got home, no sauce. Just ALOT of ketchup. About 15 packets. I assume McDonald's wants use ketchup on our nuggets now. 2) Got big breakfast with hot cakes. When I got to my destination and started eating my breakfast, there were no utensils with my breakfast. Had to eat breakfast with my hands. Word to the wise. Spend a minute or two to look through your drive thru order to make sure it correct before leaving. there might be 5-10 cars behind you but this McDonalds always gets drive thru orders wrong. Also, the reason I didn't want into the counter to place and pick up my order, the inside is not that clean. Very dirty. I walked in once and it smelled like someone threw up. I almost threw up. She was rude at the window, clearly hates & doesn't care about her job. The woman at the food window was nice although there was someone else yelling at her about "service", unprofessional. The food was HORRIBLE. Not even half fresh. I ate half the fries, took a bit of the McChicken then threw the rest away. I only ate that much because I was in a rush somewhere and needed some food. I know that McDonald's is fast food; it's not going to be a gourmet meal. This is ridiculous. My third time coming to this location at various times and each time the food isn't even close to fresh. This time, the shake machine is "not working" , and they ran out of apple pies. Only to replace my sweet tooth crave for some cookies that were NOT good. It was horrible! So hard and stale! This McDonald's on 99N Milpitas Blvd has always been a place for me to grab some quick snacks or lunch for my kids whenever they are hungry for a pretty cheap price, which makes it a convenient spot to go to every once in a while, of course because of how unhealthy it is. However, their ice cream machine seems to have a never-ending issue, and their new remodeling on the outside, just looks absolutely horrendous.
