Noodles are my favorite carb, so that's what intrigued me to try it despite reading that it can be an acquired taste. While I didn't love it, I'm glad I tried it. The flavors were new to me and I can see how the gooey broth and texture can turn people off. The oyster was good too. After frequenting two of their mall locations in cupertino and milpitas in recent years and I have come to a conclusion that I affirmatively prefer the milpitas location. Reasons are below: 1. Fast, efficient and friendly service. 2. Generous portions and fresh food. The Cupertino location in valley fair always has a long line with haphazard order calling and inefficient handling time and sometimes an attitude due to busyness. Once I got a dirty used napkin in my order. Gross! As for food, batter's super thick and greasy, it was mid at its best. Milpitas location has the best popcorn chicken, hot, tender and well seasoned. This Shihlin is located in the busy 99 Ranch plaza, but they move pretty quickly even on the weekend. There's a self serve kiosk and a couple of small tables inside for those looking to dine in. We ordered the popcorn chicken and crispy oyster mushrooms, along with a couple of teas. Everything was yummy and on par with other Shihlin locations. I also enjoy their teas if I'm just looking for a simple refreshing drink.
