Just stopped by this location and the drive through service was horrible. We began selecting and instantly kept getting the response "is that all" and other types of commentary to pretty much hurry up. We didn't even get to finish our order because of how hard she was pushing us away and the icing on the cake was she got the order wrong. This might be the worst McDonalds I've ever been to. A friend and I were at the counter for about 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. The entire staff was talking and joking with each other instead of working. The boy who took our orders asked one of the other employees for help. She laughed and said "I can't do that" as she walked away to chat with the rest of the crew. The manager didn't seem to care at all that his employees are not doing their jobs, as he came up to put change in a register and made no comments about everyone carrying on behind the counter. After we finally got our food, it took us another five minutes to find a table that wasn't filthy. We wiped a table down ourselves with wet wipes I carry in my purse. Perhaps the most poorly run McDonalds I've ever been to. It does not matter what time of day you come here, or if there are few people on line-you will wait for over 15 minutes for your order and it will most likely be wrong. Having managed a McDonalds in my high school/college days, I can tell you the staff/management do not follow any protocols when taking orders and lack in customer service skills. The other evening I went through the drive through and was told to come inside despite the drive through being 24/7. Once inside, the staff was taking orders by hand and would not take credit card. Oh. My. Goodness. Guys...what on earth is this McDonald's still doing in business? I'm writing this review because I am begging you not to make the mistake I made. I went through the Drive Thru and it was the most memorable living nightmare in food service. It took 21 minutes. TWENTY ONE MINUTES to go through with only 6-7 cars in front of me. Finally after about 15 minutes I roll up to the window: "Hi what can I get you?" "Hi can I have a Mcchicken." "How many?" "Just one. And can I also have a 6 piece chicken nuggets with honey mustard and small Dr Pepper? "Okay *long inaudible sentence* $x.xx" *6 minutes later* "Hi what can I get you?" "I'm the same person. The line hasn't moved." Turns out the car in front of me never got her order taken..?? Then you're not going to believe this. She hands me my food and says "have a great day!". My morals got the best of me and I held my credit card up and asked if she needed it. She gave an embarrassing look and charged me.... but I'm the dumb one who actually offered to pay for this nonsense. Everybody knows McDonald's food is hard to mess up since it's already not that great. But the food matches the service here. My McChicken bun tasted minerally like copper or something?? And my chicken nuggets were dried out so badly I couldn't eat them which was fine because they gave me hot mustard instead of honey mustard. So I didn't want that anyways. If it were possible to give 0 stars I would! Service here has ALWAYS been abysmal!! But tonight it was in rare form. After waiting 2 minutes for anyone to take my order, I started to film video. The sign in the front door says open until 8:00pm for dining and there is a paper sign that is taped to another window saying there is a 30 min eating limit. We ordered our food and sat down at 7:10am. Then a lady came and told us we couldn't eat there or anywhere in the restaurant. We brought up the sign and she said no that is a mistake. Went on a Sunday afternoon after a long day of work. Me and friend pulled up to the first speaker no answer great let's move to the second, once we got to the second window we told the guy that we were using a mobile app code. He proceeded to say what is it in which then we gave it to him and he said ok ordered and turns out he dint put the code asked him at the window and he said he did (very rude about it) got the receipt and would you guess dint put the code on the transaction. I don't know where to start with this McDonald's. The employees are rude and don't care. The managers are even worse than the employees, they have attitude towards customers and even the delivery drivers. There's this one male manager who seems to always get into it with customers and drivers and he's always loud. TRASH!! Kids were buggin to go to MacDowels all day and we only do it once a month so I look forward to some tasty guilt laden food with a side of bad parenting. Since the Mac Rib has come back, I was craving that crap since last time. So GOOD with the pickles and onions, and I don't know what they put in the BBQ sauce but it must be CRACK!! Well, kids get their Happy meal s wifey gets her spicy crispy chickenhead sammich, we get the nuggies and fries and get home, everyone's happy, I look at that ribtatsic box, rubbing my hands together drooling, but as soon as I open the box I knew something was wrong. No seeds on the roll, I open it up and It looked like someone licked all the BBQ sauce off the thing! REALLY! Hardly existing BBQ sauce! Two pickles, and like four straggly pieces of onion! I wanted to scream! I hoped for the best because the slab of McRib looked like we ran it over when we pulled into the drive thru. I put some of the sauce that was supposed to be for the nuggins on there, took some pickles of my own out of the fridge, put em on and took a bite...Let me tell you, I did two years in prison and never have I tasted any kind of meat product that was this gamey and freezer burned. It was flat, like 1/4 " thick slab with no texture. Normally it would have a bit of a spongy consistency with some nice harder pockets of gristle if your lucky, this one was just an abomination. It's supposed to be smothered in BBQ sauce, so I did that and ate it anyway. We were shopping at Target, and that's one of the only reasons why we were in Nanuet or we would have gone to Norwood. After reading all the other reviews, I can understand what happened. It was old and in the freezer too long, then it was sitting out on the rack all day, and the worker who prepared it was either lazy and or uncaring that there was a shortage of pickles and onions on site. Nanuet McDonald's: WTF?? I made a great parenting decision and said screw it, I'm not making lunch, I'll pick up some nuggets and fries for the kids. But secretly I wanted to get down on a double cheeseburger for myself. Pulled into the drive-thru at 11:11. Line is at a standstill for 5 minutes. Um, ok. My heart rate elevates. Two hungry kids in the back cannot stay this patient. Make the awful decision to go inside. With a 1-year old and a 3-year old. Oh look, they have self-serve kiosks. This should be simple! False. I add my food with relative ease and go to pay. The machine keeps saying my transaction failed. 3 times. Gives me a receipt so I can pay. Have to go to the back of a 8-person line. Look ahead - there is only 1 cashier. ONE. It's the start of the lunch rush. Seriously?? Wait a good 10 minutes in line to pay for my food because I couldn't do so through the kiosk and had I just waited in the line to begin with I would have already placed my order. Hand the cashier my piece of paper. Explain that I tried paying over there but it didn't work. Cashier says "oh, yeah. the chip doesn't work on that machine." That's not her fault, but someone in the restaurant should have taken ownership and put a sign out that says THIS DOESN'T WORK! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! My 1-year old is OVER IT, just like her mom. She's fussing and starting to cry in my arms. Hell on earth is being in public with two small children on the cusp of having hangry-induced tantrums. Now, 15 minutes later, my order is finally in. Wait another 5 minutes for the food to come up. Or for someone to butcher the cow, grind the meat, and make the hamburger patties. Food is given to me - not packed up as a to go order like I requested. No apology from the manager giving orders. No have a nice day. No smile. No nothing. Just here's your food. I was beyond frustrated. The overall aura of that restaurant was frustrated. There is no excuse for it to take 25 minutes to get a FAST FOOD order. It is a gross negligence of customer experience. I'm not coming to McDonald's for a Michelin star-worthy meal and/or experience. All I want is my greasy "eat my feelings" food to come as fast as possible, which this restaurant failed at epically. This place actually improved since my last review. Corporate took it over. They had an army of obviously well trained managers working the drive-thru and the counter. Recently it was sold to the group that own the Ramsey NJ location. Yesterday it was complete choas. It was after 3 in the afternoon. Only a couple of tables were occupied. It seemed every order in front of me was wrong. Plus the wait time was unusually long. It took me 22 minutes to get a mcDouble and small fries. Paramus Rt 17 takes 3 mins tops. It's sad to watch these immigrant staff workers be thrown into this situation where they hardly trained. They try hard but it's a comedy of continuous errors. The owner should be slapped senseless. At the very first interaction at this mc donald's the employee had a nasty attitude and was very snappy while taking our order, they carelessly stuffed all of our items into a bag which ripped. We asked about it, and they said that the event was over. The event wasn't over. The cook or whoever had stolen the tickets. So we ate our food with a 0% chance of winning. Pro(s): While the staff was extremely annoying, the company was nice enough. We called them, they thanked us for the tip, and later on we got several coupons (for free food!) in the mail. This is one of those updated, fancy, modern-looking McDonald's with wi-fi. Like most reviewers said, the service inside is pitiful and defeats the purpose of "fast food". Go through the drive thru instead, as that moves pretty quickly. Even if there's a long line at the drive thru, chances are you'll get your food faster than if you went inside. It's almost as if this place intentionally places a higher priority on drive thru orders than regular orders. My other gripe with this place is that they didn't offer the McRib this past season, as McDonald's left it up to individual franchises whether or not to offer it. How do you NOT offer the McRib? I should give this place a one star review based on that alone. But alas, it's really just a standard McDonald's. read more

Went into this establishment to pick up an iced coffee. Decided it might be quicker to walk-in rather than sit at the drive-through. Pros: Both cash register ladies greeted customers with a smile Cons: - Upon walking into restaurant, a male employee was sweeping the floor into the direction of where customers are walking. - Both customers in front of me had their orders wrong. - It took me 15 minutes to pick up one iced coffee. - The temperature inside was far colder than it should be. However it is summer, but the employees were wearing jackets. The two children that were with their parents also appeared cold as they were rubbing their arms while waiting for their order. - I counted (7) employees behind the counter. I am suggesting that re-training is necessary. There really shouldn't be an excuse as to why order are screwed up and I had to wait (15) minutes for a coffee. read more

Just got back from McD. I ordered a medium black coffee with 7 sugars....pretty easy order for the drive through. I didn't drink the coffee until I got home. Turns out they gave me no sugars and instead 7 creams. WTF. When I placed the order, the order taker repeated back to me medium coffee with 7 sugars. So pretty easy. I have been less than impressed with the service at this McDonalds lately. Yeah, it is fast food after all, but you would think that there would be *some* degree of friendly customer service here, right? Wrong. Service here is very hit or miss - and the last time I was here, it was definitely a miss. I went through the drive-thru and was not given my total at the drive-thru speaker (as is custom when you go through a drive-thru) but was instead told to drive up to the next window. The worker also didn't repeat my order back to me to confirm that it was correct. It all seemed a little weird to me, but I went to the pickup window and paid anyway, only to find that the total for my food was much higher than I anticipated. I had to scrounge around in my wallet for change because I only had so much cash on me. As it turns out, I was charged for the wrong sandwich (which happened to be more expensive than the sandwich I ordered) and upon asking politely for the receipt, I was met with an attitude by one of the drive-thru workers - before that, I also asked for the price of each item individually and didn't find out until I got the receipt. After getting the receipt, I explained to the worker that I was charged for a different sandwich and they made another one but did not give me back the receipt. I am glad that they were able to fix my order but I certainly wasn't happy with the attitude I was given as well as the fact that I was not refunded for the difference between the more expensive sandwich and the one I ordered. Needless to say until there is a little more oversight and less carelessness with orders, I won't be returning to this McDonalds for a while. read more
