Mixed experiences here over the last 18 months (which is how long I have lived in Novi). The good: - when they are on their game, service is fast and food is as expected The bad: - if they are not on their game, you will wait a long time for your order to be taken. Last night I left the drive thru line as I waited 8 minutes for somebody to take my order. As I drove by the windows, employees were busy chatting inside with each other and one lone female was hanging out of the window where you pay, trying to wave cars forward. A negative number is all this place deserves. I have literally and honestly had the most shocking and worst experiences of my life at this McDonald's on Haggerty just north of 8 Mile Rd. It is such a joke it's hard to even describe. I drove through this morning just after 10 am and no one was in line at the drive through. No one answered the intercomm..intercoms... ever. I finally just started ordering and WHAT DO U KNOW- a person answered. I drove up and SAT at an empty window to pay. No one EVER came to take my money. We placed an order at the kiosk around 5pm. Over half an hour before someone appeared in the front to be able to question about the wait. I understand that things happen. But the worst part of eating in the lobby was a group of teenagers which included an employee apparently on break. This group, including the employee yelled and cussed loudly. We had a young child with us. Then they proceeded to "prank" a Chinese restaurant by calling and ordering $80 worth of food that they had no intention of picking up. There is a second Mcdonalds just off 275, two miles south at 6 mile. That is the bad one, this location is the good one. Just to the west of the very busy 275/8 Mile interchange, Haggerty road is crowded and curves slightly here so keep your eyes open for the sign and driveway. Two drivethru order lanes. Inside they have four of the huge touch screen order stations so you can order and pay for yourself, and either pick up at the counter to go, or take a marker and wait for table delivery service. The staff is fast and helpful, and they keep the dining room clean. This is a great McDs location. read more

I never think to leave a review for fast food places because 1. I don't go to them often and 2. It's usually not a great experience. But, I have to leave a review for this McDonalds. I placed my order through the kiosk. This place was crazy busy on a Sunday morning... two rows for drive through, line inside, Uber eats and grub hub orders, kiosk orders, etc., all happening at once. Evan (sorry if I spelled that incorrectly), the manager, was seriously the most magical manager I have ever seen. It's like he had 5 sets of eyes and ears, to know everything happening everywhere... he was SLAMMED, and kept happy and positive, and made sure every order was perfect, he knew what was happening at every checkout area, etc. I have NEVER seen a manager do what he did last Sunday. Above all of this, there were several employees with special needs, and he made every single one of them feel like they were the greatest human ever... the way he talked to them, cheered all his employees on, got them going without one negative comment, etc., warmed my heart more than words can say. The second i walk in the ghetto manager tells me to "feel free to use the kiosk" meaning she is too lazy to take my order at the counter and say "hi can I take your order" When I was waiting for my GMO processed chicken salad a young man asked for better looking chicken strips (because they were probably 4 hours old) and the same manager was getting all funky with him saying "what you mean" So she reluctantly replaced the chicken strips that I guess looked better but were probably just as old. She acted like that was the hardest thing to do in the world. The young man was visibly upset as he should be. I made a Yelp to write this. I've never had a worse experience with any business ever. I waited forever in line and finally got the wrong order so I went back through to get the correct one. They left me waiting at the window and looked at me like I was dumb for not going to the next window when all they said was "you had the wrong order?" I finally got the correct order after 45 minutes after being extremely patient and polite. When I ate my food the fries had a bad taste that left a burning sensation in my mouth. It is not right to treat your paying customers like shit. I cannot "select rating," as your website requests, as one star is the lowest rating, and you do not have anything below a ZERO.
