Drive thru order taker is rude & yelled at me! All I wanted was to pick up my mobile order. He said on the speaker "How can I help you?" I replied "I'm here to pick up my mobile order number ###." Then he responded with silence. After a few minutes, he said again on the speaker "How can I help you?" I again replied "I'm here to pick up my mobile order number ###." Then he responded again with silence. Then again after a few more minutes, he said on the speaker "How can I help you?" I yet again replied "I'm here to pick up my mobile order number ###." Then he yelled at me saying "I know! Go to the 2nd window!" I then replied with "You should have told me that in the first place." I've never had him take my drive thru order before. It's usually some nice lady who is kind and courteous and tells me to drive to the 1st window so that they can give me my receipt. But this guy was SO RUDE!!! I've been going to this drive thru for a decade and I've never been the victim of an employee yelling at me a customer. This is the closest McD to my residence, but I will not be returning to this location until their staff gets retrained on courtesy to paying customers. read more

The franchise owner of this particular McDonald's is a cheapskate! The employees never ask me if I want ketchup packets if I order through the drive thru. So by the time I get home and look inside the McDonald's brown paper bag, I see no ketchup! If I'm in the driveway and I ask a crew member for ketchup, they give me a "how dare you" look like I just robbed them. It's also the same with the salsa packets. My guess is that the McDonald's point of sale system doesn't allow them to charge for the condiment packets, so that's why they are tight fisted with them. I don't have this problem at the nearby Carl's Jr. or Del Taco. They also always seem to be out of side salads or pies on a regular basis. A ship is only as good as it's captain and this particular captain sucks. read more

This McDonald's never gets any better, and tonight, after waiting in the drive-thru line (with one lane closed) after 9:30 for nearly 15 minutes just to get my food, which came out almost cold, was my LAST visit here. The drive-thru line was long, but it moved pretty quickly. Maybe the food has improved since the other reviews were written. My daughter's cheeseburger was hot and the bun was soft and warm. I can tell you, that's not always the case at other McDonald's. She gobbled her fries, too. Perfectly cooked. Her milk was super cold. I'm not a huge fan of McDonald's in general, but if you have kids, well, sometimes you come here. This store is better than most. If you have been before, give them another chance. Haven't been to a McDonald's in close to a year because this McDonald's especially was horrible. I see after close to a year it's no better. Long lines with employees that don't remember who they're talking to sometimes, give your order and they come back with "I'm sorry could you repeat that" finally got our food, order was correct, got home (literally 5 minutes away) everything was cold, fries weren't fresh, had to microwave everything. So I have been going to Mc Donald's since I was a kid, like pretty much every american, and have enjoyed it to a certain extent. The food is pretty good for what you are paying for so I give them a 4/5 for value but this specific location has some major work that needs to be done. I have visited the Mc Donald's on Chapman about 30+ times so I know exactly what they are about...making a few bucks, even if that means losing a life long customer. Their food at this location is not bad for a Mc Donald's but I have certainly had better (location on Tustin Ave., for instants) and have had better service at pretty much ever other franchise. The one major turn off to this location was when the MANAGER, of all employees, who got in a heated argument with me over THREE hamburgers. Whats that cost them? About 1 buck?? I had a my order screwed up 3 times in a row where they gave me extra pickles and no onions when I asked for extra ONIONS and NO pickles...I let is slide the previous two times because, hey, its Mc Donald's...its almost expected. But to me, three strikes, your out. So after I called that night, the manager told me after he took my name down, "next time you come in, we will make it right and take care of you" So the next day I was in the area and hungry so I decided to go in and get my order and when I told the manager (a different girl this time, "Selerina") she told me that I must have called the other location down the street and because of that, I should go down there and get it from them...I proceeded to tell her that it doesn't matter WHAT location I called, the fact of the matter is, THAT location screwed up, not the one down the street. She kept giving me blank stares and shrugging her shoulders which was very rude. I ended up leaving without getting anything and I have yet to return. I wrote them a complaint online and they actually got back to me promptly and with the owners cell phone number so I thought that was very professional and thats the only reason I am giving them two stars instead of one. I also got an email the next day from the corporate office and a gift card worth a whopping five bucks... In the end, it was one of the worst drive-thru experiences I have ever had and I can tell you with confidence I will not be returning. Ill check back in 6 months and see if that manager is still working there and if she is, I'm out. Get some new staff, the other employees were also rude listening in to our conversation snickering...VERY unprofessional. read more

Apparently it's this McDonald's policy via their manager to not allow you to add on an item after initially placing your order before you pay. I was told I couldn't add one more item to my order at the second window before paying. Ive never encountered this at any restaurant, fast food place or mcdonalds. this was by far the worst mcdonals I have ever been too. The service is terrible. The food was served cold. One visit really stood out for me. I was eating here and the owner of the establishment had come up and I thought he was greeting me. He proceeded to take the drink right out of my hands and told me I was not allowed to get refills. Now bare in mind refills are free. I was pretty furious because he accused me of never buying a drink and that I was freeloading off of his drinks. Earlier this week I picked up food through the drive thru for my family after a long day of work and then jiu jitsu practice for my kids. The food we received was hot and delicious. The only problem was that we were missing my husband's big mac. I tried calling the restaurant but the line was busy. I was too tired to drive back so I filled out the survey on my receipt. The next morning I woke up to an email from Scott the owner apologizing for the inconvenience. He went above and beyond to make things right for us. One of those I wish I could leave no stars. The customer service at this location does not exist. They only care about getting you in and getting you out. Only thing is they aren't good at that either. Spent over 10 min in line and get to the front for them to pull the "please pull forward and park". Had I made a crazy long order or special requests I would have no problem. However why would I need to pull forward for a Big Mac meal and two McDoubles? You're telling me the line of cars behind me didn't order a burger? When I kindly let them know that pulling forward makes absolutely no sense and the worker had no good answer she went to get her manager for back up. The manager asks me to pull forward and again no good answer for why besides we are waiting on the Big Mac. So my options were a refund or to pull forward. You bet I took my free Coke and the refund. I have to say, I've been going to this McDonalds for a long while. Over the past few years service has really declined. Usually getting orders wrong, extended waits in drive through and I am almost always asked to pull ahead and wait. Even when it's something as simple as French fries. I was hopeful that when they remodeled the restaurant that things would improve. I can honestly say they have not. I can't believe this but I think they have worsened. Today is New Years Day. I am just off an overnight shift as I work in the medical field. We pull into the drive way at 8 am. The posted hours are they open at 8 today. There was a line to the street and people were waiting to get into the restaurant. The drive through person took forever to start taking orders. They would process one order at a time literally so when the next car came up to order it would sit for 10 minutes. The guy ahead of me gave up and just drove to the window where you pay and ordered his meal there. I wish this was an anomaly but it's not. It's been 30 minutes since I ordered and I am still waiting in line. Yes I get it I'm the idiot still waiting. If your going to open on a holiday or if you guys want to survive then things need to change drastically. It is obvious that the management is not effective here. It's too bad you wasted all that money on a new building. If you can't run your business appropriately then it doesn't matter if your in a garbage can or the Taj Mahal, you will fail. In this day and age word gets out fast. I will now just go to the McDonalds on Tustin. Twice I have ordered one thing -a happy meal & both times "Petter Rabbit" rang up on screen as the toy and both times we did not receive anything relating to peter rabbit. Around 2/18 we received valentines making stuff just what you want after Valentine's Day :(. My 4 yr old was fine with it I specifically went there saying, "oh it's after valentines their not giving out those stupid valentines stuff that ends up ALL over my house." Oh but surprise they were.
