They seem to get a bad rep for whatever reason, but Macca's (as they're known affectionately in Australia) is one of those brands I feel I can count on for consistency. While the Big Mac has long been one of my faves, their breakfast muffins are another fave of mine that we turn to especially when we're on the road and stuck for breakfast options. We walked here all the way from Gaylord Resort down the road on a recent morning, and weren't disappointed. Service was quick and friendly, food was delicious and inexpensive, and the dining room was perfectly abuzz with a mixed crowed. Notably, I saw two fancy touch screech machines where you can order and pay. Well done, Macca's.

I got a big mac meal with mac sauce on side. March 12, they left out the sauce. March 20 I go to redeem my free meal (because I called when I got home no mac sauce) I explain to the manager what happened she says I should have came back in a week! but they still gave me my big mac with sauce on side. upon arriving home the big mac was just 2 patties 1 cheese and 3 bread no lettuce onion pickle nothing. manger could have checked it. called back phone is busy. annoying. next day called and spanish accent manager doesn't understand anything. crazy!! I give up. bad attitude workers win. come here to find spanish speaking only workers or fast talking bad attitudes from Americans

Didn't mix my M&M McFlurry. What the heck man.

Not accepting orders at the time but they're open 24 hours. Makes no sense. Maybe close the branch if you're not accepting orders. Duh!

Like many businesses in National Harbor, Mason's is a chain. They have several locations across the US and a few locations in...Italy? That was a curveball I wasn't expecting. Anyway, it was lunchtime when we entered but fortunately not too crowded so we were able to grab a table. It's not a large space - there's ~4 tables inside as well as some stools, plus more tables outside. The menu is mostly rolls - lobster rolls of course, but they also have shrimp and crab with various accents. Most of the rolls are offered Connecticut style (warm with butter) or traditional (cold with mayo). They also have a few sides and salads. I noticed they had a lunch special, which came with a roll of my choice plus a drink and side. I can take or leave lobster - but the crab roll was speaking to me so I went with that, Connecticut style. The roll itself was good - a balanced portion of crab that had good flavor and tasted fresh. The bun was toasted ever so slightly, and held all the crab meat well. I had a bag of potato chips for my side which were...chips, yes. Service was fine, and overall I had good experience at Mason's. Is it the epitome of lobster rolls? No, but if you're craving them in the area then this fits the bill.

We stood in line which took about 10 to 15 minutes. Once we placed the order we stood by the pick up counter, expecting it to come out rather promptly. No lie, from the time I ordered, based on my receipt, to the time they called us, It was 31 minutes! We saw the sandwiches sitting there for 10 to 15 minutes waiting to be wrapped. Other orders were done before ours. Mind you, the bread was soggy from the condiments and the lettuce and tomato chillin on it. I didn't understand why someone else had to wrap it and put it in the bag. As expected, my chicken rainbow bowl was cold. The rice was cold and dry. Couldn't even warm it up because of the avocado, hummus and tomatoes in it. We had missing sides. One of the sides given was incorrect. We had to go back to ask for the missing sides. You would think after 30 minutes, they would have our order correct. The manager was nice enough to understand the frustration after the employee tried to correct us and said she did put the correct sides. No one is trying to lie for coleslaw...... To top it off, we had stomach issues after. Never again.

"Grandparents Recovery Mode Activated... and Succotash Delivered."…read more July 28, 2026 -- the granddaughters had just left, the house was quiet, and I knew exactly what we needed: a grandparents recovery dinner. Something with great food, great drinks, and great ambiance. After checking a few places, Succotash at National Harbor fit the bill perfectly -- close, reliable, and unforgettable on our last visit. I told Tiffany to dress sexy and comfortable because we were going somewhere special. She immediately activated her detective mode -- no training, just natural talent -- asking me the same question in ten different ways trying to crack the surprise. But when we pulled up to Succotash, her eyes said everything:I did good. The Welcome Inside, we were greeted by Ellis, who had the kind of warm, inviting smile that makes you feel like you're walking into a friend's home. She asked if it was a special occasion, and I proudly said,"Yes -- I'm taking this beautiful woman out for date night." Ellis promised us a great table. The first one wasn't our vibe, and she happily moved us to one we loved. That's hospitality done right. Then Chen V., our waitress, arrived with great energy, menu suggestions, and the confidence of someone who knows the food is going to blow your mind. Starters & Drinks We began with the All the Bites platter: Deviled eggs (three kinds!) Crispy Korean Cauliflower Fried pickles As Chen walked away, I read the description for Jamie's Cornbread with hot honey-brown butter and immediately called her back. My mouth was already watering. The Entrées Tiffany ordered Shrimp & Grits, her forever favorite.I ordered Crispy Blue Catfish with Collard Greens, my forever favorite. The starters arrived with five‑star presentation -- and the taste matched it.We both agreed: All the Bites and the Cornbread were outstanding. Tiffany's Shrimp & Grits came out beautifully. She loved it -- shrimp cooked perfectly -- though she could've used a little more seasoning. My catfish?Outstanding.Crispy, flavorful, beautifully plated. The collard greens cooked with smoked turkey were perfect. And what I thought was thinly sliced lettuce turned out to be one of the best slaws/coleslaws I've ever had. The Cornbread That Stole the Show The cornbread with hot honey-brown butter melted in my mouth like it had been waiting its whole life for this moment.Sweet, buttery, warm -- the kind of cornbread that makes you close your eyes and rethink your priorities. Succotash was hitting every note. ‍ A Visit from the Manager The manager -- they called him AB -- stopped by to check on us.Great touch.Great timing.Great service. Dessert Drama Everyone knows I'm a dessert guy.I studied the menu like it was a final exam and chose the Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie, with Chen backing me up on adding vanilla ice cream. She packed our leftovers and brought the pie.It looked scrumptious...But to my horror, it wasn't warm. Now, I didn't ask for it warm -- but when you add ice cream, you assume warmth is part of the deal.Cold pie + melting ice cream = dessert confusion. I still ate most of it (I'm dessert crazy), but it wasn't the ending I dreamed of. Final Verdict Even with the cold‑pie plot twist, the night was outstanding. The food, the staff, the ambiance -- everything was top‑tier.Succotash delivered a perfect surprise date night and a perfect grandparents recovery dinner. We'll be back -- and next time, we're trying the Taste the South family‑style menu.

I ordered the Vibrant Vegan bowl with falafel, brown basmati rice, lentils, tabbouleh, hummus, pickled onions, cabbage slaw, and lemon garlic sauce. Every ingredient tasted fresh and intentional. The falafel had a perfect crisp exterior while staying soft and herbaceous inside, and the lemon garlic sauce tied everything together beautifully. As someone who loves Cava, this immediately gave me that same customizable Mediterranean experience -- but honestly, this bowl held its own. The vegetables were crisp, the portions generous, and everything looked just as good as it tasted. Even after taking it back to the hotel, it still ate incredibly well. The staff moved the line efficiently despite how busy it was, and the open kitchen concept added to the experience watching everything being prepared fresh. I built my own rice bowl on this visit, which included chicken, veggies, hummus, and a few other random goodies! It was super yummy and came served up with a side pita.
