I don't know how you get to fries like this. They are consistently hard on the inside and soggy on the outside. We have even tried air frying them at home to finish cooking them, but no luck. The insides are way undercooked and the outsides are limp and oily. On this trip we also had "grilled onions" that may have sauteed for 30 seconds. They were also firm and but flabby. Will think twice before ordering from here. May only be able to order in and check order before leaving. I have heard you can request "twice cooked" fries, but by any standard their straight up fries are way too raw. read more

I'm a huge Five Guys fan - their burger patties are always so juicy and full of flavor, and, they have a plethora of toppings that you can add with no extra charge. My go-to is the Little Bacon Cheeseburger with extra bacon, with raw and sauteed onions, mayo, jalapenos, and extra pickles. My husband gets his usual hamburger with the little-sized cajun fries. I've noticed that some ingredients are added automatically, such as the lettuce and the tomatoes, which can be a little annoying for those who didn't ask for them in the first place. I've also noticed that the cajun fries are super well-coated with the seasoning, like almost caked on, so it is a bit spicier than the other Five Guys. This location recently opened up and took the space of the old Verizon store behind Edy's, with plenty of parking in the plaza. Very spacious, bright, and cheery. The staff are friendly and welcome you very warmly. The burger was super dry, and they got half my requested ingredients wrong or left them off. This was my first time dining at Five Guys. The fries were seasoned well, the burger was nice and moist, the ingredients were fresh and the banana milk shake was DELICIOUS! The reason why Im rating this place three stars is based on the service received. Not the service from the guy who actually took our order, but the initial service received from a rude, older woman. We were next in line and I could see her through my peripheral vision sizing me up. She asked if she could help us? I told her we needed a little more time to view the menu. She rolled her eyes at me, left the register and went to the back. As I'm looking at the menu I could feel her staring at me, so I look to the back of the restaurant. I see her peering back at me through the back door window while drinking a beverage, in this menacing way. I'm thinking what is this lady's issue?!? We ordered from a nice young man. I am happy they opened a Five Guys in the Bailey's Crossroads area! It is near Target, Burlington, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Office Depot and other places! It is in a great location! If you want to eat a juicy, messy, flavorful and greasy burger you need to come here! I think Five Guys is generally a bit on the high end of the price range for a fast casual chain, with a burger and fries hitting $15. Five Guys is definitely upper echelon, way better quality than fast food places like McDonald's. It's more on the level of a Chipotle's. We eagerly awaited the return of this location after the other one was taken down to build the Harris Teeter. I do sincerely wish they would update some of their plastic usage and distribution policies, to reflect a more environmentally conscious customer demographic. For example, when you are served shakes, you are automatically served: - plastic straws, - a disposable tray for the beverages, and - plastic covers are placed on the milkshakes, ALL of which is completely unnecessary and also bad for the environment, and cannot be returned after it is given out. Customers looking to reduce their disposable plastic footprint are challenged. A significant improvement would have these "conveniences" removed from the automated process and made a separate, request-only option, for example, just like they do with the ketchup. read more

This review is based on two visits to this location. They're new, but the Five Guys brand isn't so there is no reason for any type of questionable service. My first trip was great! Everything to order. Tastes were as expected. Service was good. My second trip was the same. The 2 stars comes from the fry guy digging up his butt to scratch or pull out a wedgie.. or whatever.. right in front of the customers. I saw him first look around to see if anyone was watching, but that's not the point. You're handling food. After witnessing him do this and then hand me my bag of fries made me want to gag. Needless to day, I took them home, but did not eat them. Two stars for the otherwise good experience here. I order Five Guys pretty often, but this was the first AND last time I'll be ordering from this location. I placed a curbside pick-up, called the number posted on the sign, and was told they were bringing out. After waiting 15 minutes, I tried to call the number again and no one picked up. After three attempts, I finally went inside and the young man brushed it off and said I never called. He did offer to make a new order since my food got cold, but I was not about to wait another 15 minutes. My wife and I were somewhat surprised that the restaurant did not do anything in the community to herald its opening, but we made it there anyway. The positives are that the place is very new, clean, and clearly very well-managed. Service was well-executed and fast. The food is good, particularly the french fries and the strawberry shake. The burger was better than the average fast food burger. A sign on the wall praises their fresh vegetables, but the mushrooms were clearly canned (although everything else was fresh). They have a self-service condiment bar with plenty of ketchup but no mustard, although they were able to provide that at the pickup counter with no difficulty. The downsides are that it is on the pricey side. Two hamburgers (one bacon burger and one bacon cheeseburger), a large fries, and a milkshake came to $30. However, the servings are also larger than we expected. The hamburger has two patties, so we could easily have split one rather than getting two. The large fries was large enough to serve a little league team, and we could easily have done with a smaller one. All in all a good experience, if you know what you're getting, and plan your order accordingly. read more

My experience with this five guys was horrible I came in with my wife and my granddaughter who is 10.....I proceeded to order burgers they came back soggy the order was wrong when I bought it to the attention of the employee he proceeded to tell me that I was wrong and double down on it. And then he started treating me like I was a non-entity racist it turned into a shouting match I stayed because I wanted my granddaughter to witness racism at its finest in an establishment like that....to be treated that way simply because of the color of your skin is disgusting and deplorable I explain this to her while having the interaction with the employee I proceeded to call the corporate and talk to someone there absolutely nothing took place he questioned whether he called me the N-word I told him you don't have to say the N-word to be treated in a racist manner So I went to another five guys the order was wrong again I called them because I had left and explain to her the manager my dilemma she proceeded to ask me """"so what do you want me to do about it"""her exact words the customer service for this establishment is deplorable and disgusting I have ran into this multiple times at multiple locations I will not be eating there again it was the worst experience that I have had in recent memory But what I will do is continue to talk about this experience both in writing on Facebook post Instagram and I have a YouTube channel that I visit often and I will be talking about them there too read more

If you go to Five Guys because it's the best fast-food burger in the DC area (it originated here) and all you get is a burger, you're missing out. The real reason to go to Five Guys is their FRIES, which might be the best *anywhere*. Five Guys fries are perfectly done in peanut oil. I stopped in today because I was dying of hunger, and I figured why not eat unhealthy for a change! I ordered the super expensive yet delicious hamburger, and a small fountain drink. The two items came up to be around $11.00. One thing that the do that nobody else does that I know of, is to not offer combo specials. It's good for them, and really why should they? They are already famous for the quality of their food,vso offering promotions isn't really necessary. The burger was delicious and cooked just right to be tasty. So too were the peanuts, and I ate one small plate of those. I still haven't figured out whether it's socially acceptable to throw the shells on the floor. So many people do it.
