I travel and order take-out very often at different McDonald's on the go. I have adopted this McDonald's as great quick junction between my bus stop and traveling home. This place is hit or miss. Some days it is well and some days it can be abysmally disorganized and busy. Bear in the mind too the location is in a more decadent place of Pomona, which doesn't bother me much but an advisory to those interested. I had one bad experience on 2024/09/19 Thursday where I placed a mobile order at 5:16pm for 1 McChicken with extra condiments and had to wait about thirty minutes (5:46pm) before communicating my nondelivery of my simple order. There is not publicly visible placard of the franchise owner's contact information. The receipt possesses a phone number to the McDonald's Complaint line. I have not received a correspondence returned since my relayed complaint. I'm not a California business owner, but if this is simply due the recent 2024 state legislature's actions of increasing minimum wage and any possible subsequent layoffs, I understand. There's a few good workers in there who I won't discredit, and I can't discredit anyone working there, but it seemed on that one day there was an apparent disorder of orders being placed, because one woman in drive-thru who failed to pay her order when she received her food and had to wait a needlessly prolonged period just to pay for the food at the counter. Additionally, there was one delivery courier who had to also communicate his order to a representative after waiting a needlessly prolonged period. It wasn't a good day. My observation at first began at asking if people's mobile orders were not going through in case the network/server was malfunctioning, but I see my mobile order code on the display monitor. My grievance seems to be with the misprioritized received orders and not providing them in the same sequence of receipts. But amen. It's still an alright McDonald's. read more

Got my credit card information stolen here. Only ever use it online and the 1 time I come here and use it, it gets stolen in the drive thru. Good thing my bank called me to let me know and cancelled all charges. Was also attacked by a homeless person exiting the drive thru because I wouldn't give her money. The food is just okay it's rare when it's 'fresh' but usually rubbery and old. It's McDonald's though so it's expected. I would skip this one because of all the homeless around the drive thru. You usually get one asking for money even before you even order, but hey doesn't stop me from coming though! read more

My biggest concern about this McDonalds location is the safety. I never feel fully safe when eating at this restaurant. Sometimes, there's a crazy hobo in the dine-in area yelling at random people. Sometimes, there are beggars just asking everyone in line to order them something or cash. And one time, I saw a man with a bowie knife out trying to take out a spider from his backpack. This location is always full of homeless people and the smell is sometimes overwhelming but most of the homeless patrons are generally fairly nice and won't bother you. I don't really have big orders here but the largest order I had (2 meals), they missed the toy in the happy meal. The staff here is generally younger and they are fairly indifferent to everything. I've seen the manager get into arguments with customers over a simple mistake. This location also does not allow for unlimited refilled despite charging the same for soda. So if you want lots of Soda, you should not come here. I generally just go to the Jack in the Box up Towne near the 10 freeway entrance cause that location feels more safe and allows unlimited refills. read more

By far, the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Let's keep it one hundred: Mickey D's isn't known for being health conscious and you're pretty much gambling your life with each visit. I've been to this particular one before and really had no issues. Until yesterday. After waiting an abnormally long time in the drive-thru, I placed my order, which was only the chicken nuggets meal. Immediately, the nuggets had a weird, sour aftertaste and the fries tasted like they were dunked in oil in addition to what was used to fry them. I couldn't even finish them and I'm glad I did. Several hours later, I ended up getting food poisoning. I'm not sure what the managers and quality assurance fools actually do there but clearly they weren't doing their job. Yeah, this is one of the saddest McDonald's I've ever been to. For starters, there is a fairly large homeless and transient population in Pomona. And one of the places they like to hang out at, is this McDonalds. The way this place is laid out, one of the favorite hangout places is right by the end of the drive thru as you're exiting the facility. They are about two clicks away from actually being at your window asking for a handout. Now I know that there is only so much that the place can do about this issue, but it doesn't make for a very pleasant drive through experience if you feel like you have to be on guard as you exit. The first time I went there, service was pretty poor through the drive-thru. But inside the service was top-notch. But I always like to give a place 2 or 3 times to make sure that I get a fair view of what they have to offer. Well, each time has been pretty similar. I stopped by there to grab a bite to eat yesterday, and noticed that it was taking really long to get up to the speaker. When I got up there, I sat there for at least 2 minutes. Saying hello? Hello? Hello? Finally someone said how can I help you? Now, I know that I expect a lot from a fast food restaurant, having been a worker there as well as an assistant manager, and something should be second nature when your greeting a customer, but that sadly was not the case here. I gave my order went to the first window to pay ... no hello, no hi there, no nothing. I really felt like this was the least friendly visit I've ever had. I pulled up to the second window to get my food and pretty much the same thing. No hello, no greeting, just handed me my drink. Then about a minute later comes back with my bag of food and just hands it to me. The only good thing I will say about this visit was the food is always consistent. It was fresh, it was hot, and it tasted like it came from McDonalds. Bottom line? I will probably only come here if there are no other McDonald's options nearby. I've been here for 30 minutes waiting on a hamburger and a large soda, no lie. It is not the hardest or complex order, I'm sure. Customer service seriously SUCKS they need some serious training, in the food industry and how fast you need to be. 40 minutes, from the time I was in line to when I got my food. One of the managers gives me my hamburger without my soda, I ask for my soda, he hands me the cup. I go to the machine for my soda, no ice. I go back to let him know, and he's aware of the lack of ice in the machine. And proceeds to ask if I wanted ice. Why if he knew there was no ice, wouldn't he ask from the get go? Update 10/31/10: Called them and heard they were selling The McRibs! I drove over here as fast as I could and ordered 4 McRibs! No line, but I went through the drive through. Entire transaction took 4 minutes. I guess everyone was out getting candy. Cost me around $13 total. I ate 2 McRibs and gave the other 2 to my friends. The meat doesn't feel or taste cheap or fatty like their other meats. It was pretty clean. The buns are thick and hearty and soak in the BBQ sauce well. The onions look fresh (shocking) and have a great snap along with the pickles. People are going to be like "Why the hell is this guy reviewing a McDonald's?" Well, put it this way. Say you're stranded and or have to take a fat dump. You debate whether or not you should go to McDonald's or Happy Stop. You figure McDonald's is nasty, low class, and smells like dong. You go to Happy Stop. You get held up at gunpoint, your girlfriend gets violated, and you have to suck dong to get your wallet back. Apparently Happy Stop is a popular hot spot that is patrolled by the local pervert Jerry Hambomb. Had you read my review on Yelp, you would have decided to go to McDonald's instead of Happy Stop and you would have retained whatever bit of dignity you had left. Too late, right? I came here with my buddy for a quick dinner because we had to get back to study. This McDonald's is clean, the staff is friendly, and it feels pretty safe inside. The bathroom is surprisingly clean and doesn't reek of urine or feces. No surprise on to what's on the menu. I heard they were bringing back the McRib which got me all excited. Unfortunately, that doesn't start until November 2, 2010. Darn. I wasn't too hungry so I decided to get a soft serve cone. They are only 69 cents here! If you pay $1, you can get it dipped in chocolate. I was pretty excited. The worker there gave me a good serving of vanilla ice cream and he made it all fat. It was creamy and sweet, but balanced well. There's something unique about a McDonald's soft serve cone that illicit specific memories and feelings. Probably of all the stomachaches I've had in the past. This treat made my afternoon pleasant. It's probably the best 76 cents (after tax) I have ever spent. read more
