The Nightmare Drivethru: 2:00PM on a Friday. Pull up, order a crispy chicken wrap and small fries. Easy. Payment seems to take a long time. The guy swiped my card dozens of times saying his machine is broken. Wipes my card on his dirty shirt, tries it another dozen times. Fails to give me a receipt. Next window, lady says my order is coming right up. Three minutes later, a very large, very hairy, very sweaty man comes to the window to "cool off from behind the grill." He proceeds to talk to me very awkwardly. Makes me feel very comfortable...makes me wonder how much sweat any body hair he gets on all of the food (No hairnets around head or beard). Does not mention my order. Finally, saved by the bell: he says to go to the grill parking spot (this is five minutes after waiting at the window. Mind you, I'm waiting for a small fries and a crispy chicken wrap.....not 6 whoppers). Another TEN minutes goes by in the parking lot. Same sweaty guy brings out an order to the OTHER car waiting. Talks to him for about two minutes. Finally gives me my order and storms off. I drive home, eating the luke-warm not fresh fries on the way home. Finally, I open the soggy wrap sleeve to find a half sized wrap, with ONE piece of chicken in it....grilled chicken. So yes. 0 stars because this team failed literally every aspect of this experience. I won't be returning, but I hope a manager or corporate sees this and fixes the issue. read more

One reason i bring my own mug and 'dine in' rather than 'take out' is to consume less wasteful packaging. The staff at this McDonalds wasted it anyway (put a disposable coffee cup and take out bag on the dine in tray, after my reusable mug had already been filled). They also charged me $0.29 for a larger size coffee-- pretty sure the exta 4oz of fluid costs the restaurant less than the cup that I specifically did not ask for :-( Still, it's McDonald's so it's not as though I had high expectations or anything. Egg McMuffin was tasty as usual. Fast & cheap is what keeps these places in business, and they do excel at fast & cheap. read more

Store was able to change my mobile order and charge me for someone else's food. I asked for a refund and they only gave me a partial refund and charged me for the food I did receive. I used reward points for a sausage egg McMuffin, ordered a hash brown and diet coke and ended up paying 22.75 that's an expensive McMuffin that should have been free with my reward points. I am giving three stars because I think this is a very average McDonald's... It was clean, good customer service and the coffee we ordered was hot and really good flavor. Don't expect to have any breakfast food ready @ 7:00am. My husband has finally given up trying to get us an early Sunday morning breakfast. When he first started going to this McDonalds a year ago he'd arrive 1/2 hour after they opened. Too many times they weren't able to open because they didn't have enough people on staff. They told him there had to be 3 people there. He finally started going between 6:30 & 7:00am. The last 3 times they haven't had breakfast burritos or parfaits ready. Last week he told them he'd wait for the breakfast burrito. When he got home, only one of them had been heated. Very, very poor management. read more

The food is as good as it can be at a fast food restaurant but its fast and cheap which is a plus. The staff seems nice and the tables in the play area were clean. The main reason we come here for the indoor playground. Its great for my 4 year old twins who never seem to run out of energy and it has a table with hamburger chairs which they love! I haven't seen chairs like those at a McDonald's since I was a kid. read more

This place is a dump and no one ever gives a crap. The lobby looked like lake Michigan due something leaking out of the drink machine. None of the food prep people had hair nets on. The men's bathroom looked like an out house, pretty sure someone took a dump in the shorty urinal. I wasn't holding my breath on it being that great due to the googly eyes on the male silhouette on the door. The friggin ketchup pumper was empty as usual. I asked for the manager and said WTH, she started to say something about it's only me and one other... I cut her off and informed her she had eight other employees behind her. And then she frigging noted me! So now I'm in the nightmare play area eating my probably not spit on food and whadaya know the garbage can is over flowing, theres crap everywhere from equally douchey previous customers. Maybe it's just a Poulsbo thing. Screw this dump. read more

I have to tell people don't go here till they learn how to operate like a McDonalds . The lines are always long for ordering... then you pay and go to the next windows only to have to pull up and wait... so the food finally comes out and you think it going to be good and fresh , hot ! Well we didn't even make it out of the parking lot. Not what we ordered !!!! Go back inside to talk to a manager because it wasn't the first time this has happened there. Manager gives me a free meal card .. ok great ... wait for them to make BBQ bacon beef sandwiches and fries... finally out of there .. Came back about a week later to get the same order and use my free meal card.. finally get to the order box tell her what we wanted so that she would understand what we said and she says we are out of BBQ sauce so you have to order something else ...and the lines were still backed up so we said forget it !!!!and we're able to squeeze out of the line and go somewhere else. . I've only been to this McDonald's twice, the first time I got my usually breakfast meal (hot chocolate, two pancakes and a sausage) this is my favorite and have never ever made me sick. Immediately after I felt nauseous, two hours later I was stuck on the toilet having massive diarrhea. Today I went back there, thinking it was maybe something I did or ate?? I order a milkshake and fries, apart from the awful customer service and not receiving my straw, I was feeling okay. Then two hours later I started having horrible diarrhea AGAIN! I go to McDonalds frequently, maybe once or twice a week, and no other McDonalds has made me feel like this! I don't know if maybe they use different, cheaper ingredients, or put laxatives in their food? I am never going back again. read more

Well another day and another crappie effort by McDonald's. We decided to eat here because of the coupons. I went to the drive through, ordered 2 Big Macs, 2 medium fries and one hamburger. We then sat, without moving for over 10 minutes and there were only 2 cars ahead of me. I finally got up to the window and when they handed me the bag, which was sitting there, I felt the fries which were cold. I then handed the bag back to her and then she asked me to pull forward and park. I did so, under protest, parked and then went into the restaurant. When they handed me the bag with hot fries, I said but isn't the meat cold and I was assured that it had been sitting under a heat lamp. Got home which is less than 10 minutes from McDonald's and to no surprise, the Big Macs were ice cold. What a huge disappointment. Come on McDonald's, you can do a lot better. read more

I will NEVER GO BACK HERE!! First off, they want customers to order from a kiosk. It's hard to figure out and doesn't list all the daily specials It's like Romper Playroom in there between the associates. The constant yelling across restaurant between associates is unnerving to one trying to sit and RELAX during their lunch break. I agree they should hire challenged individuals but they have one that is always shrieking at the top of her lungs to her associates. I work at a business where there are challenged workers but they are counseled and DO NOT shriek at others. They put almost NO ONIONS on a simply basic cheeseburger I get tired of my meal being constantly interrupted by workers shouting, asking if everything is OK with my order! Yesterday there were 4! I go to lunch to RELAX and this type of behavior is ridiculous. Then yesterday, some worker in braces was doing 20-yard dead run dashes across the floor between trash can and service counter next to where I was seated. He could have hit someone that suddenly stood up from a table in that area. Im DONE with this place! read more

Go to the counter and get ignored, then they tell you you can't order there. They direct you to the other end of the store. Finally someone says you need to order from a Kiosk. Total nonsense!! Clean and friendly McDonald's, with a nice big playground to relieve squirmy kiddies from hours of sitting in the back of our van. The bathrooms are clean and parking is abundant. I was especially impressed by the cup lid dispenser, which makes it so you don't have to touch other lids to get your own. I'd never seen one like it before, and there is much more piece of mind knowing that someone's questionably cleaned fingers have not touched my lid. read more

The food is generally okay, but I'm seriously sick of every single time I come to the poulsbo mcdonalds the ice cream machine is "not working" there is always atleast 2 managers on duty at all times and to be a first step manager they are supposed to know how to fix these things. It's super frustrating that the machines are down half the time. And no expresso drinks untill fall? Really. That's gonna be a huge hit on your store. read more

Only worth it for the playground. 20 minutes to get lunch is almoat longer than it takes for a sit down meal at a restaurant. Having breakfast available seems to have crushed any good window for getting food in a timely manner. This Sunday morning at 10:20 a.m. I came through the drive thru for my normal double Sausage McMuffin with egg special and a glass of water. Suddenly it was stacked and took 16 minutes i.e. until 10:36 a.m. to get through with no explanation by the window person for he delay. This used to take 5 minutes, now it is forever. Same thing happened two days earlier and it was a 12 minute wait. I do not know if someone failed to show up or something happened in the kitchen, but the wait was a killer. Likewise, when I gave the money to the cashier -- this person made no attempt to greet me or thank me for my business. The food arrived just luke warm, not sizzling hot like normal. I guess I will just use the Silverdale or Bremerton McDonalds or just drive up the street to Jack in the Box. A 5 to 10 minute wait is not unusual but 12 top 16 minutes throws everything off, then coupled with unsmiling, no greeting and I am thinking Starbucks is a lot more cheerful coming into Poulsbo by the CVC and will be more appreciative of my business. Not going back to McDonalds in Poulsbo for awhile. Something is really wrong there. Too many shortcuts. Enough is enough. read more

Bravo for McDonalds hiring older people to work there. I've seen older people at other restaurants and the tables are cleaner and the service is better.
