I don't think I've ever seen a more elaborate and spacious kids play area than at this McDonalds on Blue Ridge Rd. The "clubhouse" has about 5 sections long by 3 sections high. There is roomy, comfortable seating for parents and the whole area is sunny and bright. Along with the wifi, parents can sit and relax while kids have a ball. All the rest of the typical offerings at McDonalds: drive-through, McCafe, parking... I noticed lots of family bicyclers, which was cute. read more

Ok so an update: this place has really improved since last year. Drive through seems to be more reliably fast (which is the only reason to go here in the first place). My orders are almost always correct... They have a cool automated assembly line that prepares drinks... Yeah not much to complain about anymore. This McDonald's needs a facelift - badly. On the outside, it appears run down. On the inside, it appears outdated. The food is what you would expect, nothing more, nothing less. Parking is not great and getting out of the parking lot (if you want to make a left turn) can be quite a challenge during peak hours. read more

Dear Lord, thank you for relocating me next to my favorite McDonalds. The 2 for $3 Egg McMuffins are amazing, and the quality is consistent, as you'd expect from any McDonalds. I try not to go here unless I'm just starving and getting off work late (I work at the mall). The couple times I have grabbed dinner there the fries have tasted old. Just lukewarm and gross. The burgers have been OK. Drive through service used to suck and be really slow but I have noticed the last few times I have been by they have been much quicker. I do occasionally swing by for breakfast before work and the breakfast items have been on point. If this location would step up their fry game and maintain the drive through service they'd get a higher rating from me. It definitely beats the McDonald's that's in the food court (don't even get me started on that one). read more

Just came to pee but the door from the parking lot is locked at 9:05pm but hours state dining room open till 11:00pm...I have sciatica and it's killing me to walk...walked around to counter to check to see if they knew the door was locked and she tells me that it locks at 8. I told her a sign should be on the door...she tells me there is and I said umm no there's no sign on the door snd she said yes there is....I didn't want to continue going back and forth with someone who clearly doesn't know her job of customer service...I wasn't trying to be petty but if a sign would've been up I could have saved quite a few painful steps to get inside to pee...but instead I was lied to and dismissed...do the job you'd want done for you and take pride in what you do and treat others the way you want to be treated...Let's love one another! By far the most run down McDonalds I have been in. The play area, while large is always filthy and looks as if it has never been cleaned and you cringe just from sitting in there. The last time we went on a late Saturday afternoon, all trash bins were full, the drink station had dried crusted soda on it, the bathrooms were filthy. We have been numerous times and every single time we go our order is wrong and we have to either go back to the counter; or go inside if we have gone through the drive thru window. After our last visit, we will forgo this McDonald's and start going to the one further down Glenwood Avenue. While the Glenwood Avenue has a smaller play area, the staff are friendly, and the facility is always clean. read more

Never had to explain what "extra" hot fudge on my sundae means... Paid extra but didn't get it!

It's McDonald's. The food is the same everywhere. This McDonald's was normal: the boy toys were out, the ketchup was out, except the shake machine worked, and the other usual problems. Kind of what you expect from McDonald's. That's not why I'm writing this... I've been to this location maybe 3 times in the past 2 years and each time, there are always a bunch of homeless people around. I really don't have an issue with homeless folks. I help when I can and volunteer. My issue is that they take over entire sections with backpacks, computers, and bags. Normally that's ok, too. Last night though, as my kids and I were leaving, there were a bunch of people and employees standing around on the patio smoking and laughing. Again, ok/sure/take a break, it's that marijuana hung thick in the air. It was unmistakable. Personally, I don't care what people do on their off time, but c'mon. read more

This is one of my local Mickey D's. I rarely go inside so I can't comment on much of what happens in there but the drive thru is pretty efficient, they never jack up on my order and the staff is always friendly. So they certainly exceed my base level of expectations for fast food joints! read more

If I could give this place a zero star review I would. The only reason I continue to stop at this location is because it is conveniently located next to my apartment community and on my route to literally everywhere I go. I have left there many times with my order wrong, items missing, etc. Tonight after picking up my kid who was exhausted and hungry we stopped in bc he wanted a cheeseburger. I got 4 cheeseburgers, no ketchup and a hot fudge Sunday. 1. They give you a tiny dollop of hot fudge that is not even hot. 2. All 4 of the burgers had ketchup yet no onions. And the bun was hard on the edges and everything was cold. 3. The staff who works in the evening are just atrocious, the girl who took my money was the rudest. The only good thing I can say is when I stop occasionally in the morning for a coffee, there is a very kind gentleman who takes my order and there usually isn't any issues. But the staff in the evening needs training in listing, etiquette and common sense. read more

Have frequented this McDonald's several times due to its proximity to my residence. Have had great and then okay-ish service, depending on the time of visit and volume of customers currently being served. The night/graveyard shift is my favorite time to go because the employees are always kind and happy to serve, no matter what late hour it happens to be. Most other 24 hour locations I've gone to in the middle of the night don't usually have such great customer service to a late night order. My most recent visit was 3am. (I work night shift myself and so am frequently awake at this time.). When I came to the drive through menu I was greeted in the usual nice manner and also informed that only cash would be able to be accepted at that time due to their system undergoing an update. As it was, I did not have anything but a nickel on me so I responded "Well, looks like I can't get anything after all." To my surprise the employee responded as nice as could be that they did have permission to provide me with one free meal due to the inconvenience. I was surprised and stated I'd only wanted a strawberry milkshake and fry. The attendant rang me up and told me to pull around. Now I know this isn't the norm, but was grateful for their making it so I could get my order without having to go to an atm or another location. They didn't even take my nickel when I offered it, but thanked me for the offer and said to come back and see them again. read more

I work in the food and beverage industry so I try to be considerate and understanding but last night was horrible. There were only 3 employees for a Saturday night and people were getting upset and driving out of the drive thru after they had already ordered. When I had went to pay, the cashier and another worker were arguing about how the cashier needed to stop taking orders cause the other employee was leaving regardless and they were calling each other the n-word. It was all very unprofessional and I had wanted to see about talking to a manager but there was no one working. I will say though that the original cashier who took my order was very nice to me and offered my money back. But still I'm disappointed read more

Too many things to even bother with writing on here for many reasons....one, I don't want to waste your time, and two, management doesn't fix ANYTHING or at least try to. Main issue: you go to "cash only" from 2:00am-3:00am. I get shift changes and making deposits, but this doesn't require going to cash only. I work in the industry, and I know it doesn't take an hour to run a credit card batch. Then when you ask for a receipt, you can't get one. Just seems real fishy. Other concerns: this is a 24 hour location. I understand when your menu changes, but some things are not "just breakfast" or "just lunch/dinner". If I want coffee or ice cream/milkshake at 3am, I should be able to get it provided the equipment is working. The last excuse I got for not being able to get one of these items was that "they just cleaned the machine". Great. Now use it please! Left multiple messages with corporate, and they cared a tad more than the store level manager. I will say that the older (and please don't take offense to that...I just mean not a teenager), black lady taking orders in the drive thru is very pleasant, and you can tell it's genuine. There is another lighter skinned black woman that is at the money window that is also nice. Other than that, anyone else I've had interactions with were sub-par. read more

This place continues to be a disappointment. Several times I've gone through this drive thru and it's been utter chaos. The first time was a Saturday night and the employees were fighting each other saying the n-word and walking out on the shifts because the cashier kept taking orders with only 1 employee. Last night however (Wednesday) I waited in lime for 15 minutes. Tell me something. Why do you have 2 lanes, if your only going to use 1? 3 cars passed me so I went though to the window and thought I'll just place a mobile order since the line is so long anyways. When I got to the front, the cashier and the employee taking the money started arguing, sound familiar? I can hear everything they are saying and eventually the same employee at the window walks away leaving me with the employee who doesn't take orders from the second lane. She told me to cancel my mobile order but when I place my order with her she forgets my drink. She claimed she charged me but then proceeds to stare at me with a blank face so I told her to forget it and drove to the bp and picked up a bottle of soda. Still never got a receipt but somehow I never do, it's like they're trained not to give them. I would go somewhere else but unfortunately there are only so many places I can get drive thru at midnight on Glenwood. read more

I never go out of my way to write a review but I had to. Been to many fast food chains and never cared,just drive, get food and go. I go frequently to this McDonald's bc I get off late and it's close to my house. The African American gentle man that works the late shift is truly outstanding. Hands down best customer service. I almost don't feel like I'm at a fast food place. I've been in lines and I am truly amazed at such a great positive hard worker he is. This man should be promoted or some sort of a raise or acknowledgement. The others could learn a bit from him. Thank you for working there and truly caring about your customers. Went through the drive-thru the other day, and the people working there were very friendly and nice. They did however, get one of our orders mixed up, but the manager was more than happy to come up to us personally and gave us the right egg & cheese McMuffin. Went through the drive thru at 1352 today, store #15717. Before the young lady passing the drinks, I could clearly see, the large cup filled to the top with ice. I kindly asked could I please have half the ice, otherwise, I'm paying for a cup of ice. The seemingly, manager had an attitude, which spilled over to the person whom I was speaking to. The manager said, ' just pour it into another cup'. Plain RUDE! Then I asked could the drinks cup be wiped off because the overflow was on the outside of the cups. The manager had an attitude then... I hate to say, but her customer service skills were lacking by far. Being in the workforce over 30 plus years, rudeness in customer service is so unacceptable. I refuse to have this store manager service me again. And being a leader is a poor example for the rest of the workers. If she doesn't like her job, maybe she should not deal with the public!
