I don't usually write reviews, but this experience deserves one because of how frustrating and unnecessary it all was. I went to this McDonald's to get the new Grinch meals not just for myself, but for my kids too. These meals are around $15 each, which is already way more than a regular meal. The whole reason I was willing to pay that extra money was because the meals are supposed to include the limited-edition Grinch socks. My kids were excited about them, and honestly, so was I. When we got home, we opened the boxes and realized the socks were not there. No socks in mine, no socks in the kids' meals. If I'm paying extra, and if this is a promotional item advertised as included, then it should actually be included. Simple. I tried calling the store to sort it out and they wouldn't answer for almost an hour. I kept calling over and over. The calls just rang endlessly. When someone finally picked up, the person on the phone was dismissive and acted like I was mistaken, saying, "As far as I know, all the boxes have socks." Basically implying I must be wrong or lying. There was zero accountability or willingness to check if a mistake had been made. Instead, I was told to "deal with it with the general manager in the morning," which is honestly ridiculous. I shouldn't have to chase down a manager the next day over something that should've been handled on the spot. I already wasted time and gas, paid more money, and then ended up with incomplete meals AND poor customer service. This wasn't just about some socks it's about paying for something and not receiving it, then being treated like I'm making it up when I ask for what I paid for. My kids were disappointed, and I was left feeling like customer service was an afterthought at this location. For how much these promo meals cost, accuracy and basic respect should not be too much to ask. Very disappointing experience all around. read more

This is not my first bad experience at this location. It's a bad look when returning the food for a refund. The store manager yells out we are busy all the food is fresh! She never came to see about the problem. Stood at the register for 10 minutes waiting. Why that sandwich look like that if it's fresh. No ketchup saying they waiting on the truck. That's like peanut butter sandwich no jelly. The employees are great that store manager not so great. And yes this the second time she chooses not to engage customers returning food for a refund. My partner almost choked on this when he bite into a nugget! After a long day of work I decided to be lazy and swing by McDonald's. While eating my boyfriend pulls this out of his mouth. It's hard with weird textured ends and my best guess is that it's a bone. I called the location where the woman on the phone asked if it was a prank call and assured me that they do not sell anything with bones in it... to be fair it could be something else, but whatever it is; it's disgusting and unacceptable! We just bought 2 oreo mcflurries. I knew something was wrong. After I tasted them and my eldest told me that she didn't want to eat something that she just purchased something that we've bought in many times before after tasting it. I knew that there was something weird about the taste, almost like chemical life. I asked my husband to take the taste of it as well. He, in fact, thought the same thing that it tasted funny after my youngest kids have demolished it. I couldn't return that item, but I did call the store and quickly the young lady replies. We don't clean the machines until later on. And instead of just saying, let me go check on that. And tasting it herself, she brushed it off as like they don't take care of that until later on meaning that there's no way that that could taste different. So I told her she can do what she wants to do with it. I told her it does taste funny. It's up to her to do what she wants, either way. If my kids get sick, they will be going to the emergency room. And it will because be because of McDonald's and the way that they're mc flurry's tasted to night. My husband says it almost tastes like bleach. Mixed in with soft serves. read more

I've lived near this McDonald's basically half my life! I've always loved this McDonald's, they always made the food perfectly! Recently since I been ordering here it's just been so miss and hit. Every time I order a large fry you might as well be ordering a medium, because they never fill the fries all the way! The workers there could also use some better customer service skills, one time they forgot one of my fries, and had to go back and wait in such a long line! By the time we got to the front window are food was cold, they said they couldn't do anything about it. I grew up at this McDonald's so I'm a little partial. Sometimes my drive through order gets messed up when it's busy so you gotta double check but the manager here hires good people and they keep this dining room beautiful. The food is good. Fries always hot. Staff is always friendly and my kids appreciate them especially when they pull up with them happy meals. I really like how they've decorated it actually. This lady mopping right now is goin to work. You could definitely apply the 5 second rule to this floor. read more

I recently visited the McDonald's on [fruitridge and had an incredibly disappointing experience. The staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. To top it off, they charged me 50 cents for a small water cup! It's ridiculous to charge for something as basic as water. The overall atmosphere was unwelcoming, and the service was slow. Service are trash in terms of how they would talk to you and the pick up area is small and this guy bring out the food and ask us to wait there but someone was parking there so we were unable to park at the pick up area. Thank you to the store manager Kourtney, Jessicca, and the entire team they are so nice and they always get my order right. Last week my DoorDash driver was in such a hurry that he left without getting my second bag (which was his mistake) and when I called this location they were so apologetic and allowed us to come and pick it up and remade our food fresh. I tried going back in to get a refill for my drink when I had purchased and place an order the same day but the workers turned off the machine as I tried to pour it into my cup. There is a sign stating by the machine saying you can only refill if you purchased the cup that day and no other day, so it did not make sense why I couldn't get another refill. I'm a postal worker and work near the restaurant so I'm outside in the heat all day and all I wanted was a cold drink. If you want good fries, don't go here. Period. In fact, be very careful what you order here. This location, for the past few months has been declining in quality. Especially in their fries. For the past 3 times in a row and a total of 14 times before that in the past two months the fries have been handed to me white, barely salted and uncooked. Having gone to other McDonalds and working as a chef downtown, I can tell you that cooked fries should be golden brown and crispy. The McDonalds in Cameron Park gets slammed all the time and they had perfect fries every time I went until I moved. What's led me to write this is my last and final experience there. I asked if I could have extra crispy fries. Cashier said yes. Employee at the second window asked me to pull around while my fries cooked longer. Okay np. Then I get my fries. Still white. Still very very raw. I went in and asked for new fries. I was then handed crispier but still white uncooked fries tossed at me. This is probably the worst McDonald's I have ever visited in 2019. The Tea is not sitting out as self serve (and the manager is full of excuses of why). People in the long drive thru kept coming inside and complaining about their orders. I ordered just a drink. Just one drink! What do you have to do to prepare a drink at McDonald's? It took this store damn near 9 minutes AFTER I PAID to get my correct drink to me. The dude who took my order took 7 other orders after me, with my empty open drink cup sitting next to him as he took these orders (ew?). Finally getting the drink, he got me the wrong tea that I asked for. I told him "You should have just gotten it for me when I ordered (like every other McDonald's in the United States) so you wouldn't have forgotten what I asked for my drink". Really, how long would it have taken him to tell someone in line "just a moment I will be right with you" filled a cup and handed it to me? Apparently "this" McDonald's does things "differently".
