This McDonalds location is the worst McDonalds in the nation...no joke. I dare you to find a worse one. This location (on Pico) has the worst customer service I have ever experienced, poor quality of food (often cold, old tasting , stale fries, over salted fries, missing ingredients, poorly assembled burgers, etc. etc) and long wait times. They will often bag most of your order and then have you pull up and wait for the rest of your order while your bagged food gets cold. And my order is NEVER right. I don't believe this is a chain problem but rather an example of the worst management and incompetent staff I've ever seen. Today I called and "Lupe" answered and said, "who's this?" Lol...Really? Located conveniently off the interstate, adjacent to San Clemente High School, McDonald's is air conditioned, clean, and has free refills. For some reason my friends ALWAYS have problems with their orders here. Usually my orders come out how I request them to but the past two times I've gone they forgot to give me my fries. The bathroom here is always dirty and be sure to bring paper towels with you to the bathroom cause they don't have any in the bathroom. read more

I visit about 1x per year. This store never fails to disappoint. I waited in the drive-thru' with the lunch crowd as I was bringing a "treat" to a dear friend in her 90s. It never occurred to me, since it was the lunch hour, that I needed to specify "hot and freshly made". My order was 2 small cheese burgers and 2 small fries. It was all stone cold. Go to the McDonald's in San Juan Capistrano a few exits down...this location in San Clemente sucks. Incorrect orders and cold food that taste like it has been sitting for hours. This review is mostly concerning the drive-thru as I don't really go in. This McDonalds is fantastic when it comes to customer service, I have had issues with orders not being correct at many fast food places, and this McDonalds is no exception in that area, but when it comes to correcting those mistakes they are one of the best. As long as you let them know about any mistake they will go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star is because of the mistakes happening in the first place. read more

I am not a fan of McDonald's but I go to this McDonald's occasionally because it's convenient. I have lived in San Clemente for three years and I've probably been there four times and it's actually OK . Until tonight, I got a double cheeseburger with no onions and no mustard. I'm going to guess that they scraped the onions and mustard off of a burger and put tons of ketchup all over it and then sold it to me. There was literally Ketchup coming out of the wrapper and yes I went through the drive-through. I only live a few minutes away but it was still cold. I was really upset because I don't like McDonald's but this McDonald's has always had decent stuff, so yes I'm even more disappointed than I was before. read more

Is that right ? First of all its McDonald's. I know and having stopped eating there because of bad service, I think I can tell between your average 1 star and this one. The place it self is no didifrent than any other mds. You have to look at the staff. Not the big wigs but instead the man that walks around cleaning the place like he has guest visiting his home or the girl that runs over to hand you your cup when you order from the e screen also her sence of urgency to deliver your food. Just went through the drive thru to order here. Pulled up to the speaker and (Dylon) greets me with "yeah?" So I let that slide and ordered while he kept saying "that it?" Pulled up to the window and I asked if they were busy (since there was no one else in the drive thru) and he said yeah. Handed me my food all upside down in the bag. The overnight crew is an absolute joke. I've had customer service jobs and worked in the industry for years. I sat in the drive thru for 20 minutes after getting off an 11 hour shift. I got up to the food window and the lady told me it was cash only because their system was done and could do nothing for me. To say the least I was furious. Unacceptable. This is by far the worst McDonald's drive-thru. Every time I go there the wait time is at least ten minutes. If there was one closer I would go there. Many times I have had to pull out because the wait was very long. If you have to get to work don't stop here. The workers are a bit rude on the weekends, but weekdays better. Hahaha, oh this McDonalds is surely an interesting treat in itself. This little place is right next to the San Clemente High School. Now, with that warning, you already know that between the times of 12pm and 5pm are going to be the breathing grounds of the high school population. I would not suggest at all to come during this time, however hard that may be for some individuals. Other than the large crowds that stroll into this place, it is a pretty good eating establishment. I personally wouldn't say the best considering the food qualities, although that's pretty much every McDonalds, but it would be a great place to let lose your crazy children and make them satisfied into silence. read more

I love McDonald's but not this location. They over salt the fries and usually under cook them, yuck. When they get super busy, they give you half your order and make you pull up, then they give you the other half of your food 10 minutes later so your other food is now cold. Poor quality control of food and they are stingy with the nugget sauce. read more

This McDonald's routinely undercooks their fries, and their soda machines are often broken. Just yesterday I went and wanted a diet Coke. Today, I went through the drive- thru to get breakfast for my family and I had two coupons and it said one per guest anwhen I pulled up to pay the lady at the window the lady with a lot of makeup and dangling earings gave me an attitude and went to get her manager after I specifically told her when I was ordering that I had two coupons and she said okay. He told her to tell me that it was one coupon per car and that's not what it said on my coupon. I asked if I can talk to the manager so I didn't have to go back through the drive-thru again a separate time if he can honor the coupon since I had more than two gas in the car and he gave me an attitude as well about the situation and told me that he's only going to do it this time and proceeded to give me an attitude about the whole situation while I was paying in front of my kids I then went to the window to go pick up my food and noticed that they forgot three of the hash browns that we ordered and also there wasn't any hash browns in my food that I ordered so I went back and he told me well you didn't pay for it anyway it was free and I told him that it doesn't matter if it's free I had a coupon for it and I should get what I paid for because I bought other food as well his name was Felipe he was very rude inconsiderate and he should not be a manager there if he's going to treat his customers like that you should fire him. read more

This McDonald's is probably one of the worst McDonalds in the country. I have repeatedly over the years gotten home after ordering "nothing" on burgers for my dogs to find all the condiments smattered all over them. Also, this past Tuesday night I went into the store at 8PM and stood there, with not another customer in line for ten minutes without one of the 8-10 employees ever bothering to look over at me. Instead they were mossying around, talking to each other and having a good old time. It looked like half of them were stoned on something. A while ago there was a young manager working in there that I had thought had really turned the place around and I wrote to the company and commended him. But, he no longer appears to be there and they have fallen back on their lackluster performance standards. In all my life I have NEVER seen a McDonald's run this badly. This place is a JOKE!!!! the food and atmosphere is really good and i like the food here because it tastes really tasty and yeah that so i went there today after my quadruple bipass recovery and then i ate the fries which were warm and always good i bet pirates ate here because pirates like treasure so they would enjoy eating here for the treasure food which is good as the fries at mcdonalds that are good and tasty as sponge has holes which is a lot unless you are talking about a bad sponge that has no holes but you get my idea so i ate here and it was good i even donated some hair to the mcdonalds charity because i spent all my money at mcdonalds so i drank myself because i have no money and thats okay because i eat a lot here and it tastes and feels good i hope everyone eats here for money because if there was a job for that i would take it and earn money on christmas and all holidays because my family doesnt like me to eat with them on holidays because they dont like me and my invisible wife who i love and dont care what other think dont try to stop me we have a kid who is a kid and i need him to live he is my muse and joy and love and but i want a cat and so that is why i like mcdonalds its food is good as gun shots in a gun shot range so most people should eat here read more
