5 stars for a McDonald's... whaaaaaattt? Whenever I do something like this, I like to clarify how I rate chains. I don't think many people need to be told what to expect from the food at a chain, McDonald's is of course, a well known quantity. When I rate chains, I rate them based on how they have stacked up vs. other locations of the same chain. So for example, one of the best McD's experiences I have ever had, could get a 5. Like this one has. I pulled in here late, like 11pm or so, on my travels back from Cary to Greensboro. McDonald's honestly has one of the best apps in the business. I don't even go there very often, but I keep the app because it makes ordering so easy and there are always good deals in the app that don't appear at the restaurant normally. I love that I can browse, make my selections and customise, then just pull into a curbside spot and they bring it out to me. I went for a BOGO double cheeseburger deal with a half-half tea and pulled into a curbside spot. There were probably 4 cars in the drive thru, and remember, it's late and a remote location, so my expectations were pretty low. Without fail, in about 5 minutes, maybe less. A friendly employee came out to my car, order in hand. She confirmed with me what I had ordered, and told me to have a great night with a smile. I opened my first burger, slammed my straw in my beverage, and resumed the drive. I did not expect to have one of the juiciest McD's burgers I had ever had at this point, good thing I folded the wrapped underneath. It was warm, juicy, well constructed, and delicious. It's twin was the same way. The tea was standard McD's tea, which I honestly think is some of the best in the fast food game, just below CFA. No pics, because this was on the super go... but I had to highlight the great service even at a late hour, especially since it looks like this location has had a rough go of it in the review area. read more

I am so sick of this McDonalds I will not be going back! I have asked for a fish sandwich with no cheese and extra tartar sauce. How hard is it to take your knife or spoon and spread tartar sauce on the whole bun? They have gone down to slider size anyway...the fish is more like a fish stick, and the buns are slider size. Every time my tartar sauce looks like they use a little paint brush and put a quarter-size dab on it, and it's so small you don't even know it's tartar sauce...You can not call in cause they will not answer the phone...and I am just so disappointed in this place. It smells awful on the inside...And it has only done this turnaround in the last year... Used to be enjoyable ....Siler City is really hurting for good restaurants, and I would rather just stay home and cook my own food now... read more

I'm beyond tired of this location. It's gone extremely down hill. They only care about their drive thru times. Multiple occasions now they've completely forgotten about my order. Whether it's busy or slow. You get parked for any reason if it's not immediately ready. Don't bother coming here anymore you're gonna wait to get a drink or your food and who knows how long that will take if they don't forget you. read more

The mobile app order seems useless at this location. I've used it here several times and always around 10 minutes before arrival. Almost EVERY time I'm told to pull off to side spot to wait because it isn't ready. No point in the app. read more

I'm not someone who writes reviews but after this morning I feel I need to. I pull into McDonald's at 10:07 am with a mobile order already placed, i got to the speaker at 10:15, window at 10:20, and parked at 10:25, I was given my frappe at the window before being parked. I sat parking in the #2 spot for 22 minutes before I finally decided to go inside. When i got inside i had to flag down an employee and then inside I waited another 8 minutes. I was there for over 40 minutes for some PANCAKES. I know they only take about 5 minutes to make, they are premade. I was forgotten after being parked. This is just terrible service and no body in that building cared. I know they were busy, i expected it to take 20 minutes. Not over 40. Do better. read more

Avoid going here at all costs. Stopped while traveling with my two young children. The dining area smells weird, the playground has what looked like dried up puke on an upper level and was filthy everywhere, and the changing table in the restroom by the playground has burn marks on it clearly from a drug addict. It's the people who work there that can never get the order right sometimes they act so lazy they don't bother to fill the cup all the way. I went inside and saw two of the workers just sitting down chatting trying to talk to girls,while they had a big line outside and ppl waiting inside waiting for there food. Definitely one of the worst McDonalds locations I've ever been to; in terms of service. I've tried this location a few times, to make sure I didn't catch them on a bad day, but it's been consistently bad with service. Zero smiles, zero greetings, total apathy on the part of the employees. Mostly young kids working there, which I don't mind, but they should have an adult/manager visible to assist when there's a problem. I've actually left the last 2 times because the wait time was absurd. Last order was for 2 ice cream cones inside the lobby in the evening. After waiting just over 10 mins. and the young girl I spoke to seemingly unable to speak English, we left. read more

Highly disappointed in the service and quality of food. Placed a mobile app order for pick up in the drive thru. Staff was very dismissive and gossipy instead of focusing on the customer and the orders. I have certain food allergies, is why I always customize my order, but again, due to the lack of attention to customers and orders, I was give Mayo when I cleared requested none. And to top it off, the sandwich looked as though a toddler prepared it, very sloppy and if I were to try to eat it, it would have gotten all over me and my car. Slow, never do I go in and have a clean table, food is alright but you can't get someone to the cash register

Service was piss poor and the staff is rude. Communication is non existent between the manager and the employees under them. They forgot to include a bagel that we purchased and when we went back to get it we had to wait 20 minutes before we decided to just request a refund because they seemed incapable of completing the order. If you want breakfast don't come here, if you want your mood dampened by rude and incompetent employees then this is the place for you. Also not a pair of gloves was worn by any of the employees, I'm sure they view hand washing as optional as well. read more

I recently stopped by the McDonald's in siler city to grab a quick bite inside and I was disappointed to say the least with a very rude employee named Ellie, She was at the front counter taking my order, rushing me the whole time and making sounds when I was deciding on what to order and then at the end, she snatched the money out of my hand very rudely. Not a great experience. Please send her back to training and teach her how to be friendly and know how to speak to customers. read more

I ordered a number 7 and 10pc. Nugget with an orange fanta. I ate my burgers a fries and 3 nuggets plus drank some of my drink. I get to my next destination and my stomach starts to hurt I didn't think anything about it at first. By the time I got home I was in a lot of stomach pain mind you this had been the only thing I had eaten today. I have had to go number 2 and 3 so many times to the point it burns and I still feel like I am going to vomit. I am sorry but I can't handle going there again. read more

After seeing 2 Stars, I almost did not go to Siler City McDonald's. However, in a pinch in travel & no passenger to research other options. I ordered a double cheeseburger with ketchup only with extra ketchup & a drink. By the time I paid, my number had already been called. I thought OH DEAR when the Dr Pepper was running clear. Looking at the remaining choices, I hesitated and got the Faygo Orange. Before heading to the table, I mentioned the Dr Pepper syrup was out. I found a seat & opened my double cheeseburger (I admit I opened it at the counter to ensure order was correct) and this is the first time at ANY McDonalds where I did not have to add additional ketchup. By the time I was leaving, I checked and the Dr Pepper syrup was back on ... unbelievable service. Obviously the place is not 2 Stars ... at least while I was there, this is a good McDonald's. I did notice no Kiosks ... which I boycott because too many buttons for taking off all condiments except extra ketchup & usually staff doesn't know what extra ketchup is. Everybody loves McDonald's value meal...but not everyone loves the service. A couple of months ago, this McDonald's would literally mess up every single item you ordered. A Bacon & Cheese biscuit. Relatively simple. Why do they insist on putting egg, even when you clearly say NO EGG and it's visible on the screen. The kids meals. Luckily, they have recently went down in price. However, my kids meals burgers were regular when I ordered them plain...who's kids eat raw onions? I know mine do not. Anywho, I complained and was given two vouchers for the kids meals. Went back to pick up the kids meals. This time we ordered nuggets. Could you believe the kids meals had everything in the bag....except the nuggets???!!! Two kids meals, complete with the exception of the nuggets! The daytime service has improved recently, as to why I'm adding the second star. Siler City doesn't have much of an option when it comes to fast food, and it sucks because it allows this McDonald's to continue to operate under bad management, bad customer service and a nonchalant attitude. read more

I paid for a artisan grilled chicken and I look in the bag after I get it and there's a artisan grilled chicken box so I was like yeah okay good. It's 530 am and your drive thru is around the building and you have 2 customers inside- one other person and me. You don't even acknowledge us. Food is good here for mcdonalds, taste like every other mcdonalds other than their fries. Their fries are always dark brown and greasy, not yellow and slighty crispy like fresh fries should be. I guess they just dont know how to make them because ive been here a few times over the last year, at day and night and they were like that everytime.
