This location is right in the heart of the downtown Stamford. Parking can be difficult here because of the location. There is no drive-thru or parking-lot here. There is metered parking on the street and several lots in and throughout the area. This location is usually quick when ordering food, I prefer to order in advance and take it to go from here. The restaurant is usually clean too. I ordered the Steak egg and cheese bagel, since it's back and I haven't had one in years. The order did take longer than expected, especially since I ordered in advance. I had to wait around. Once I got it, it tasted okay but the bagel being very soggy. I had the orange juice and hash browns also and those were fine. There is nothing super impressive about his location. Every thing is pretty average here. Ok, annoyed and a lower star rating. Ordered two breakfast sandwiches and they got them both wrong. Ordered a bacon egg and cheese biscuit without bacon. It came with bacon even though the ticket/receipt attached to clearly stated no bacon. The other item ordered was a sausage McMuffin and they delivered a McGriddle that had no sausage and just egg and cheese. The receipt stated it was a sausage McMuffin. I had an absolutely horrible experience here tonight. I have ordered from here and gotten to go orders many times, but have never had an experience like tonight. We ordered about 10 items between 5 of us and when we were distributing the items at the table, I noticed one of our items was missing. I told the person at the counter who turned to the manager and he dismissed me saying he packed the order and that we were not missing anything. I told him I understand, but we had been through the whole bag and nothing was there. He ignored me and walked away until my husband came over and then he said he was making the sandwich. This is seriously one of the worst McDonalds I have ever visited. I live close by so I often stop for a drink or dinner. About 80% of the time, the order is missing something. I've never had an issue for breakfast, they are on top of it. However, lunch and dinner is horrific. I mean, it's fast food. It's an entry level job. However, McDonald's was my first job. The machines do everything for you. There's really no reason to miss so many items. I will say that if you email McDonald's about your experience, they will send you coupons in the mail to have you come back again. Beautiful new renovation. I stopped in for dinner the other night and placed my order via pos kiosk. This was a new experience for me, and I have to say thoroughly enjoyed. I was able to modify my order and make certain everything was correct. The friendly counter staff filled my order quickly, and correctly. As far as McDonald's go, this is one of the good ones. This is by far the slowest McDonalds I have ever been to, in terms of service. The crowd that tends to be here is not the best either to be honest. One of the coolest things about this McDonalds is that they have two floors, however, the second floor is pretty much never open. Bummer! Luckily, I've never had an issue with the food here. The low rating for this McDonald's is probably before the renovations. It was renovated last year and now looks pristine. Yes, it probably still attracts a bad crowd, but what McDonald's doesn't. It also has a computer kiosk where you can order food and the service is pretty fast, whether you order by kiosk or at the counter. There is also an ATM inside should you ever need one. read more

I popped into the McDonald's opposite the Ferguson Library this afternoon. I was starving and went in the side door. I was struck at how all the surfaces: floor, table tops, counters, everything looked dull. Too many cleanings with harsh cleaners have taken the shine off everything. It might be clean, but wow! it sure doesn't look clean. Ever use Bon Ami? McDonald's looks like it is covered in the subtle, powdery residue of this cleaner. I should have taken the store appearance as my clue and exited. But hunger pushed me on. I ordered a 4 piece Chicken McNugget. My evaluation: Y * U * C * K ! The chicken had a bitter taste, like the oil it was cooked in hadn't been changed since last Christmas. The honey mustard dip was more like hair gel goo than mustard. I can't imagine a more unappealing texture! Put the two together and, well, the yuck-factors don't cancel one another out, and the result is definitely yuck-yuck! For real truth in advertising, not an art practiced by Mickey D's, you'd have to advertise: Chicken McNugget's Yuck-Yuck. That has a catchy sound, sort of like a Chinese version of the offering. I needn't say more, but can't resist. Take my advice and stay away from this purveyor of yuck-yuck; stay away from this "restaurant" dulled by extensive overuse of Bon Ami or some other chalky cleaner. read more

It's McDonalds, I don't know what I really expected. I'm used to missing items but they take it to the next level. I'll either order from the cashier or use the ordering kiosk. Both options lead to me missing items. First few times were just fries, I didn't mind, mistakes happen. Then I was losing out on my sauces for my breakfast burritos. I would order a bunch and get zero sauce when I go home. So I started to re-read my receipt every time I got it to make sure my order is right (Spoiler: the receipt always matched my order). Then after studying the receipt, I would walk up when my number is called and make sure everything on the receipt was in the bag IN FRONT OF THEIR FACES. I can't tell you how disappointed I was that every single time they were always missing a food item. It got to the point where they missed an entire half of the order. My bag was missing all 4 burritos I've ordered. And all I ordered was 4 burritos and 2 McGriddles. After that, my orders have been slower to come out but more consistent with what's in the bag versus what I order. I would call it progress if they still didn't mess up. My experience here was like a bad episode of black mirror. The futuristic kiosks they installed froze on the payment screen despite me hitting cancel. The worst mcdonalds I've ever been to. First off there's no drive thru so I tend to not go to this one too often but it is the closest mcdonalds near me and when I'm walking around Stamford and need my daily mcafe fix I go. The problem is when entering the mcdonalds every time, I am constantly being solicited by homeless people or just random people asking me for money or demanding I pay for their meal. They literally come up to me when I'm ordering and in front of the employees they will ask me "can you buy me a burger?" Or "you have to buy me a burger" and they constantly bother you. The employees apologize for it but there's no fixing the issue. No one seems to do anything about the constant solicitation and loitering even though everyone's aware of it. Luckily I saw a sign that they're closed for renovation - when you open back up McDonalds please do something to fix the constant solicitation and loitering from random people! read more

I have had multiple bad experiences in the McDonalds in downtown Stamford. Most recently, I was refused a refill of my Sweet Tea although I came back within the thirty minute window. The staff was incredibly rude to me. The manager got involved & made things worse. She also refused me. I was very respectful & still turned away. I love Mdconald's fries and could eat it everyday with no problem's if it wasn't so bad for me. I work Downtown Stamford and this McDonalds is within walking distance and I will still choose to loose my spot in the garage and drive to the one that is 5 min away. As a foodie, it's not my style to yelp about this icon of fast-foodedness, but I had to opine about the newest addition to the Mickey D. menu - the McCafe's Frappe. As corporations with deep pockets are wont to do, McDonald's is advertising this new line of drinks to the max - going so far as to include coupons for free 12 oz. frozen coffees in the local papers. So, ok, I bit - and clipped - and took the clipping to the McDonalds on Bedford St. It's the first time I've been inside since my kids were little (15 years?) and able to be bribed by the soon-to-be-illegal Happy Meals. Not much has changed. I handed over my coupon, the server went over to a machine, pushed a button and quick as you can say "artificial flavors," I had my "Mocha Frappe" in hand. Sip one had the faint taste of those coffee ice-creams of old - you know, the kind made in chemistry labs by people who obviously never tasted coffee in their lives. Sip two was cloying, and incorporated those rivulets of dark brown meant to be chocolate but, again, tasting like something made in Splenda class. There was no sip #3. I was born in a Hospital across the street from one, raised in a neighborhood next to one, and even today continue to pay homage to the Mecca of Fast Food as often as once a week. McD's is fast, cheap, and filling. But before I die of cholesterol at age 31, I have to rant about this McDonald's. The service there sucks. I'm usually not the one to point fingers and say who's to blame, but let's just say the other McD's up the block (along the I-95) puts this one to shame....maybe it's the Latin workers that add that extra flavor? worst mcdonald's I've probably ever been to customer service wise. food is great. but the employees are obnoxious and unprofessional. they're on their phones constantly in front of a bunch of customers who are clearly waiting to get their order taken. they don't ever greet or speak to you in a friendly manner. they rush to get you out fast. all the ladies do is talk, giggle, goof around and make the orders from time to time. they'll look at you, know your ready to order and ignore you until like 3 minutes later!! employees are 90% spanish, very racist, very rude to all customers and talk shit in spanish because I had a spanish friend with me one time and the employees talk very loudly so my spanish speaking friend translated what they were saying, and they were talking crap about their own customers!! so sad!!
