Five times I have ordered a sausage and egg mcmuffin and four times I have received the one with ham. Is this what they do for fun? I've called a manager but got no response. The staff is kind of friendly, but they seem disorganized. I went in for a couple mcdoubles a week ago and they left my burgers on the counter for a long while until an employee asked who's bag it was. A woman who I presumed to be a manager had a piece of paper in her hand and read it off and looked into the bag and finally called my number. The food was cold by then. Drive thru closed yet again in the morning. I've notified McDonalds of this a few times already and it seems like it's not getting through to anyone. It's not bad enough that the location has serious issues with completing orders correctly, or in any sort of timely manner since it takes 45 minutes to go through the drive thru during non-rush times, but to have the drive thru closed repeatedly during normal hours is ridiculous. If you don't plan on being open during your open hours, what is the point of having a business in the first place? If this was one of my franchises I'd be furious knowing my manager is letting countless customers drive away because they are unable to service them. Last time I complained their answer was to go inside. Sorry, but there are a lot of people that would just rather go through the drive thru that have kids and don't want to have to drag all their kids out, unbuckle all the car seats, etc. Just way easier to go somewhere else. If you don't plan on utilizing the drive thru why don't you just close this location? Bottom line is that this location is being run very poorly. The local residents have a social media page with over 60,000 residents that constantly complain about how this location is run. There are weekly posts where hundreds comment and thousands view basically highlighting the ineptitude of this location of McDonald's as a longstanding community joke. read more

I've read the other comments, but this is actually one of the best and fastest McDonald's locations around. People in Temecula are just self-centered and have extremely high expectations. Drive thru is faster than most other McDonald's I've been to. Orders here get messed up occasionally, but I've never had any problem getting them fixed. Everyone makes mistakes, what counts is how you address it. I've never received any kind of rudeness from any of the workers here. At the very worst, sometimes they can seem a bit stressed, which is understandable given how busy this location is. Y'all simply do not get it-- the Temecula Pkwy McDonald's is WAYYY busier than most other places. Frankly, if you feel like the workers are rude in any way, maybe you should look at how you're treating them. I've never known the general manager or any of the other managers to give me attitude if I'm trying to get my order fixed, so if you're experiencing that, I'm thinking it's you who is the problem. Useless establishment that I will NEVER EVER support again. We ordered at drive thru and waited for more than 20 mins to get to the front of the line, where we were told that part of our order were not ready and the guy said "I have to park you coz your quarterpounder isn't ready..." That after overhearing them talk about "strippers..." So I waited another 10 mins with no one coming out with our order. So I went in where all these kids were just standing around talking and laughing and when I asked for my order they had no idea what I was talking about. By this time my blood was boiling so I asked for a refund where the snotnose manager where trying to tell me that "they are working as hard as they can." It's hard to expect too much from McDonalds and I'm embarrassed to admit I actually ate here. However I needed fast food and according to the movie, Franchise they have this thing down. Started off trying the drive through which was probably 10 cars deep... I figured I would save some time and go inside. Once inside I was the second customer in line with two cashiers open. Unfortunately the one kid had to run both registers because the other kid was clearly minutes new. I was patient... she upsold me but couldn't figure out my change and kept getting customers coming to her from all angles asking for things she previously forgot. I couldn't help but laugh, I felt bad for her she was really trying. Once I noticed she screwed up on my order I didn't bother asking for my money back. 30 minutes later I got my food... well most of it. They forgot several things. The manager was not happy I was asking her to get it right. Then I asked for a drink tray to carry it all and she threw up her hands in frustration. Again I alighted. This drive-thru on Temecula Parkway is by far the worst. On two different occasions my husband has been in the line up to an hour(ridiculous). I thought he had gotten in a car accident he was in the line. Then when he got to the front all they say is sorry. Took over 20 minutes to receive two happy meals and the orders were still wrong. I watched several other customer wait over 20 minutes for a cup of coffee. Based on what I saw, this location suffers from a severe lack of leadership, as not a single person was communicating to another, and two employees were literally walking around in circles looking completely lost. There have been many occasions were items were forgotten at the drive through, and a return trip had to be made to pick up those items . If I could rate less than one star for this location, I would. My last visit was a great disappointment. You can probably guess that something was missing from my order, and that I had to return to pick it up. Was this the straw that broke the camel's back? Yes. I'm pretty sick of having to park the vehicle, go inside to wait in line, and putting up with the smug cashier who always then give me the "who farted look" as I describe how the drive thru team again left something out of my order. Of course, they comply giving me the stuff they forgot, but they don't even apologize for wasting my time. Always, I'm having to point out the inefficiencies their drive thru crew continuously output, and nothing is done to fix that. How difficult is it for the person reading the order and placing the items into the bag? That's a total of two steps; read order, put order in bag. How did something in between get missed? Are these the same people asking for 15 bucks an hour? Ever since they went to the split drive thru, the quality of service has gone downhill; not that the service was great before... Certainly I do recommend the McDonald's products, I'm no vegan. But I also recommend not going to this particular location. It is worth the drive to go elsewhere for your fast food desires, or just go to the Jack in the Box across the street in the next shopping center. Sure, they are slow, but their accuracy at the drive through will ensure there will be no return trips to the McDonald's for forgotten items. As for me, there will be no more return trips since I will be going elsewhere for those delicious french fries and the occasional shamrock shake. This is the worst McDonalds I've ever been to. My daughter went to get a frappe and a small fry in the drive through. After waiting 20 min in line she got to the window where she was told she needed to pay in cash. She scraped all but 10 cents together and told the employee she was short 10 cents. Instead of giving the Oder to her, She was told "Sorry!" Despite the fact that they were unable to process ATM cards she had to leave. And the best part is that she ordered online and the Frappe was earned as a free gift for being a frequent customer. So she lost that in the deal too. It's no wonder their reviews are pathetic. I was so pissed that I called the manager, "Kim" who told me they close all ATM transactions around midnight to close the day. She said the employee was new! Ok? Kim must be new too. I will call the corps offices to see how they fix it. Don't go to this store! 1/2 the time they have products that are not available due to "equipment failure" and constantly short the order or forget to put it in the bag. I would say I'm extremely disappointed in McDonald's because I was coming to get my food fast and easy and I'm sitting in the drive-through for about 20 minutes and then asked me to pull in front and they have me wait another 25 minutes and still continue to not bring out my food and I waited outside the door and knocked on it for about five minutes and nobody was paying attention then we get our food and my friends chocolate in her sundae was cold and hard and there were no almonds. I've lived in the same areas as this McDonald's for almost 5 years now, and this is probably my 10th time going. Every single time I'm here, my order is completely wrong, and the most I ever get is a box of fries and a sweet tea (which is ALWAYS given to me as UNsweet???). I don't mind really, because it's McDonald's, how good can McDonald's service be? I have to say, after visiting other locations and working in fast food, this is the worst fast food place ever. I ordered a sweet tea and I told 2 different people the machine was empty, and I waited for 10 minutes before asking ANOTHER person, who said it would be a wait, only about 2-3 minutes, and now it has been 30. My expectations have always been low, but this location has managed to plummet far below the bar. The employees could never genuinely care any less, and the service is horrible. This is the worst McDonald's ever! It is on my way to the freeway for work so I stop there frequently. How can they always mess up my order when all I ever get is a cheeseburger and large diet Dr. Pepper? Most of the time, they give me a different kind of drink. I stopped there this evening with my grandchildren to get them happy meals before our tour of Christmas lights. They were not even going to give us our drinks until I asked and they didn't even include the chicken nuggets in the chicken nugget happy meal! I wanted to go with my 3 year old brother to get ice cream and play in the play place. When I got in there I automatically felt how hot it was, it was way hotter than it was outside and smelly. I had went to the register, there was not one person in line. I had stood there waiting for 10 minutes and no one came, until a older man walked up to the register next to me and a cashier came up and told me that he would get me next! I tried to tell him that I had gotten there first but her ignored me! I was now trying to keep my little brother from getting angry, and had to wait for this older man to finish before the cashier finally came to me! Finally he did and I told him and he didn't even say sorry! After I ordered I waited for about 30 minutes for a kids meal and ice cream. After I went to sit down and no tables were clean! I cleaned one off in the play place and sat down. I went into the play ground to make sure it was clean enough for my brother who has barely any immune system and can get sick from even the slightest of sickness, and plus the fact he Is autistic and can't say and do much for himself, when I went in there was rotting food on the ground, dirt, and mold. I could not believe that so I went back out put my brother in the stroller and left. When I got home my mom was furious at the way I described it she could not believe how much it was a mess. The sharpest tools in the Big Mac shed! They are advertising "any happy meal $1.99" with a picture of a nugget kids meal. I ordered chicken nugget happy meal and a cheeseburger happy meal. The genius kid working said "4 or six nuggets?" I said 6. We sat down to eat and I thought my total seemed high. I noticed they charged me $5.49 for the nugget meal so we asked them to correct it. They have a lame song and dance about how 6 nuggets makes it a MIGHTY kids meal and isn't included in the $1.99. Well, I'm no mathematician but they said nothing of price difference AND they are charging technically $3.50 for 2 nuggets. I said they could give me an entire extra 4 piece kids meal and I would have 8 nuggets, two drinks, two fries and two toys and STILL SAVE $1.50! I said I just wanted the price difference of the meals. These petty fools asked me to give them back 2 nuggets (I was just asking for it to be made fair) and argued that "EVERYONE KNOWS THE DIFFERENCE OF HAPPY MEALS AND MIGHTY KIDS MEALS" ha ha actually YOU work at McDonald's not me and no I wasn't aware. After all, currently you can order a small soda OR a large for the same $1! After arguing with me (nope the customer is NOT right here and neither are math facts) the General mgr wanted the meal back in order to refund me.. my little girl had eaten nugget number 5. I said they didn't need to refund me just give me an additional meal now and literally subtract a nugget! RIDICULOUS!! Horrible customer service. Went through the drive through this evening and, after placing my order, drove to window #1 that had a large sign reading "PAY HERE". I sat there for a few minutes and nobody came to the window. An employee on the inside made eye contact with me and I thought "well here he is to take my money". Nope. He just walked off. "Am I at the wrong window??" I thought. "Well, surely someone would have waved me forward by now". Wrong. So I figured the "PAY HERE" window wasn't open and drove to the "PICK UP HERE" window. I notice a different employee inside the window but he ignores me for another minute or so before finally opening the window and stating my total (a ridiculous $14 and some odd change for a combo meal and an extra milk shake). I give him my card and the window shuts again. Through the closed window, I can here the employee shouting to someone else "I need two chocolate shakes! Two. Twooo! Chocolate shakes!" The window opens back up and the employee who took my card is now joking with someone else and continues the rest of our transaction with zero eye contact or communication with ME, the paying customer. After I get my order handed to me, I ask my son to make sure there are straws in the food bag. As he's doing that, I hear from the employee in the drive through window "do you need something else?" This is without a doubt the worst Mc Donalds in the area. Read the reviews they say it all. Rather then share my experiences, which would echo what others have posted I will share some observations. The staff are generally more interested in talking and joking with each other than greeting and helping a customer. Managers seem to think they are no longer required to help customers, like they've been promoted above that that task. There are a couple of shining stars in the group but they can't make up for the poor service and bad attitudes of the rest. There is a woman (maybe Filipino) manager who is the absolute rudest person I have ever encountered, shes been there a long time. How can that be??? Obviously the owners don't care. They know that it's a Mc Donalds and people will continue to come regardless of how poor they treat you. And in addition, they don't keep the dining room clean.
