I was hoping for at least a normalized experience at this McDonalds, but that's far from the case. Whenever we visit it's like a gamble if the service is prompt and the food is good or you wait for 20+ minutes for subpar food. Unfortunately, it's normally the latter of the two. Lately, it's been quite a mess and for the past 7 days you can't even order through the mobile app (it say's it's closed when it's not). McDonald's - Burned and so dry it's like a biting a stake chips - Fast Food Near Me - Valley Center, California

This was our third stop at this McDonald's location. The date was, October 11. 2023 at 08:30 AM. The parking lot was very clean. Inside, one customer waiting for his food. My husband and I entered the restaurant and proceeded to order from the Kiosk. Well, this particular Kiosk was not working for me. I couldn't order from the other kiosks because they were not working. I then proceeded to the counter to order. After 5 minutes, someone finally came out and took my order. When my husband used the Kiosk, his order went through. I asked for a water which I never got. Finally my order came but my husband's order was delayed quite a bit. Five other people who ordered after my husband got their orders and left. After I finished my breakfast, my husband arrived with his food. Looking around, some tables were so dirty with trays of food on them. Some trash cans were overflowing. And the floor, a lot of trash under the tables. I have never seen this restaurant so dirty and with such uncaring employees. The kitchen were all the employees were most of the time, no, all the time, sounded like a party was happening back there. I feel sad for this restaurant because they started so well, and now they are ruining it. read more

Got there at 7:01 pm placed my order through the kiosk because no one is ever there to take your order at the register. the restaurant was empty and there were 2 cars in the drive thru assumed they were behind on orders at 7:15 pm with me still waiting. It's now 7:30 pm not once did a staff member give me an update on the delay. I got lucky that a girl was giving someone there order to stop her but she was irritated that I even stopped her. I let her know I have now been waiting 30 minutes for my order she said something to the kitchen staff and I just hear them reading my order and JUST MAKING IT. I've been a previous customer at this location when but I've noticed they now have new management that is NOT IT she doesn't see it as a fast food restaurant that's for sure. I hate to write a bad review but this McDonald's deserves it. I was in the drive thru 5 minutes before they closed and an employee set up the yellow cones right before I was next to order, forcing me and the cars behind me to drive in reverse to get out of the drive thru. You can't just turn customers that are already in line away, especially in the drive thru. read more

Highly disappointed. All our orders were completely wrong. And the food was cold. It was not busy for them fully cook the food. I don't blame the employees but the manager who should of seen this. I've come here a few times before and every time, service has been really slow and their fries were extremely salty. Today, I pulled up to the drive thru at around 10:20pm after I got off work. An employee asked if I would be using the app with my order, to which I answered no. After that, what felt like 5 mins of silence went by. I drove up to the next window to give them the benefit of the doubt and try to order there, but instead a girl came up to the window and told me they were closed. Customer service has always been extremely hospitable at this location! On all the times I've visited this McDonalds, the employees have always been friendly and kind when delivering my orders. The employee with medium length brown hair always double checks if I need extra sauces when delivering curbside or inside. Interior is also clean and welcoming. read more

Did curbside pickup 4 times and was disappointed frustrated each time. During the first order, had to go inside to check on the order after waiting for 30 minutes. Dining area was empty and there were 2 vehicles that passed the drive thru. Manager was outside talking on the phone. Was in a hurry and when I reached home, all 3 sandwiches were missing. Had to return and wait for another 15 min. Second visit, got there at 8:30 pm; my order was cancelled because curbside pickup was closing at 9 pm. Third visit, 2 apple juice were missing. Fourth, got notification that my order was ready. Waited for 10 minutes n had to go inside to notify the crew. If only there's another fast food store nearby, I will not go to this location ever. read more

I'd give no stars if I had the chance. This location is by far the worst location of McDonald's I've come across. I do not know why I keep giving them a chance. Last time I ordered a chicken sandwich that was pretty much raw in the middle. This time they can't even get my order right. I'm happy you guys are having fun though screwing around. Ordering through the app is always hit or miss since their system has issues but I've never managed to get the correct order on the first try. Glad to see Valley center finally get a new restaurant even if it's just fast food. However, we went two days in a row and both times the food came out barely hotter than room temperature. Fries were not crispy even borderline under cooked. We tried their online ordering app and they left out several items (lost about $7 on the order). Luckily they had a 20%off promo for mobile orders so the loss didn't seem as bad. But all the staff members were extremely nice and friendly, and seemed to want to do a good job. I just hope they work out the kinks sooner than later. I expected more for a newly opened McDonald's but nonetheless this one is on par with any other average McDonald's. Forty minutes to go through the line in the middle of the afternoon. One cook on duty. One of the two drive through lanes closed off. Cars waiting for ten minutes at a time at the order speaker with no other cars in front of them just because no one is taking their order. And cars with large orders remaining parked at the only window for 5-10 minutes at a time because they're not being asked to pull forward and to the side so it can be brought out to them and the line can keep moving.
