My college roomates boyfriend stopped here after work, exhausted and ready to go home. He left his wallet at this location, without realizing it he left. He called my roommate to see what to do, since he was already forty five minutes out so she called the McDonalds. (November 20th 6 pm) The woman who answered was extremely rude and told her that she would not look for his wallet, and that it is not there (how would she know it's not there if she didn't look, also his airtag showed that it was at the store). So I took it upon myself to call this establishment, after overhearing their conversation. The Lady answered and threatened to call the cops, so I told her to go ahead and do so, and that I would be there soon. I then hung up, and got in my car to drive over from Springfield. About ten minutes later, I got a phone call from the lady saying that the cops found the wallet, CONVENIENTLY after I said that I would be there shortly. Not to call her a thief.. but it's a little funny that the wallet showed up after only ten minutes, a cop would not be that fast getting there for a non emergency. This tells me that she had the wallet all along, and never called the police. He did thankfully retrieve the wallet and it's contents, however this situation was ridiculously unnecessary and unprofessional. I hope this worker can use this as a learning experience when she (a probably 45 year old woman) gets a real job not a high school job. I also hope this Mcdonalds can use this as an example when going through the hiring process to better screen possible employees. read more

I order out from there in a rush and all I got were a coke, water, fries, and 10ct McNugget with buffalo sauce. I got charged for the buffalo sauce and when it came out I did not have time to check the bag because I watched the employee pour the fries in and nuggets. I asked the guy working at the counter and he said that there was buffalo sauce in there. I got to my car and got my stuff out and there was no buffalo sauce. This place is mcshit. read more

I received a promo offer of BOGO ANY SANDWICH on a recent receipt. Liliana at the counter argued that the promotion couldn't be used on double quarter pounders, to which I countered that the promotion says any sandwich without fine print. She became visibly frustrated and said that's not what management told her. I asked who the manager was and she said "I'm the manager", then frustratedly said she would honor the coupon this time, aggressively handed me the receipt and walked away. I contacted corporate customer service, supplied them a copy of the receipt and the website terms, and they confirmed that the offer should be for ANY sandwich. This is not the first time I've seen employees at this location arguing with customers. I think the staff needs training on policies and customer service, and I hope the same problem doesn't happen again. read more

The worker taking our order was barely able to understand us and we were clear. he repeated our order at the end and it was correct then we were handed our bag and were missing half of our order. the worker at the window then looked at the receipt and half our order just wasn't there. if we didn't notice before driving away we would've just gotten home without half of our kids food. the woman at the window was also very rude about the situation as if it was our fault. we ordered a total of 2 meals and 6 hash browns. we got home and the hot cakes meal had a HAIR in it. never again and id just drive to northbrough next time and take the extra 5 minutes then go to westbro again. read more

When I was placing my order through the drive thru, I was met with short and slightly agitated responses by the order taker. Okay, that's fine. It's a drive thru. I didn't have a complicated order, but I get it. I paid for my order and the staff member who did the transaction and gave me my drink was cordial. Another staff member gave me my order (I'm not sure if this was who took my order at the speaker) and all she said was, "Here," as she handed the bag to me. Sorry, I guess? It's not like they were swamped (I was the only car in the drive thru and the dining room looked practically empty) and it wasn't right before they closed or anything like that. 7:15PM on a Tuesday. This McDonalds has gone through a transformation. It was just remodeled, has the new touch screen kiosks, and almost nobody working the front counter. You can run the spectrum on their burgers, you can go with the cheap hamburger that tastes the same anywhere in the US, or craft the more artisan burgers that still come out in the same amount of time. They do well not messing up orders, and I like that. I come here all the time on my way on the road for $1 coffee. Let's be honest, McDonalds is the best deal for decent coffee at the lowest price. I would do that over Dunks and honestly Starbucks any day of the week. As far as McDonalds's would go, I would give this a 4-5 star for a fast food McD's; however I have to consider that given what other burger restaurants are out there, and is McD's really ever any better than a meh? read more

This restaurant was extremely clean. Alternatively, you could use the drive through. They don't serve breakfast sausage biscuits after 11 a.m.. I am not one to review McDonald's usually but this one I have to, me and my husband took our kids to this particular McDonald's after an appointment on the way home and the people were polite and it appeared to be clean, but while I was enjoying my food I bit into my burger and came upon a hair I instantly spit it out and showed it to them, they instantly offered to make me a new one which at first I agreed but then I thought about it and said no because I had lost my appetite so they did refund me the money. The manager had informed me that they do not wear hairnets which I understand when I worked at a restaurant we did not either but there should be some way that they keep their hair up and out-of-the-way while making food for the public because that was absolutely disgusting. My friends and I walked in and tried to order at the counter and they asked us to order at the machines. Ok no problem. We all order Oreo McFlurries and sit down for 15 minutes until they finally came over and told us there were no Oreo mcflurries. Drive-through service is a joke in this place' they are always constantly screwing up my orders not putting on cheese when I ask for that and it should normally come on a burger unless said otherwise. Also it takes them forever to make any type of breakfast items that they serve all day. So many times I've had to pull in the parking lot and have them come out to bring me my breakfast items and it's not even busy there when I go. Dead fly in coffee. What more do you need to know? I've stopped here dozens (maybe hundreds) of times on my way to work over the 10 or so years I've lived in Westborough. Only place in town where you can pick up a real drive through egg sandwich (and I'm including Dunkin in that statement - I don't count frozen reheated egg patties as "eggs"). I know what to expect from a McD's - their chicken is bland, their burgers are awful, their "special" meals are amazingly bad (like their hot dog sandwich called the McRib). But their McMuffins are usually fine, if inconsistent (they can range from lukewarm to fantastic, depending on your luck that day). And their Newman's coffee is usually quite good for the price (though also inconsistent - frequently bitter from being left in the pot too long). I say all that to establish that I was a fairly regular, fairly satisfied (for the price and convenience, if not consistency) customer. I don't expect too much from a drive-through fast food place. But what I DON'T expect, when I'm driving on the Mass Pike at 6AM on a Sunday, is to find a large, dead housefly in my mouth halfway through a large cup of McDonalds coffee. I don't believe that it was intentional (the guy who took my order and served me is always quite pleasant). It probably landed in the pot while it was brewing, or maybe it got into the cream container earlier. But it makes me wonder how many flies are in that restaurant, especially now in the dead of winter, and how long their containers are left open during the day. Needless to say, I'm done with not only this McDonald's, but McDonalds in general. Flies or no, it's probably for the best. read more

Give it less than if I could. My kids are 3 and 5 and have never been to McDonald's. I'm pregnant and had a craving. Brought my kids for a "treat" as my parents did when I was little. My 5 year old ordered a cheeseburger and thought it was amazing. Until 30 min later when he was puking it all over our kitchen floor. He only ate half the burger. Never again McDonald's. This McDonald's has one of the best outdoor patio areas around. It's beautifully landscaped with plenty of tables & umbrellas. Sometimes I just buy a drink so I can sit outside. The inside is recently renovated and very clean. Add to that the free wi-fi and the McCafe drinks, and it makes a decent alternative to sitting inside a Starbucks. read more
