This location has absolutely no problem serving stale food that needs to be thrown in the garbage. After reading other reviews about this very same location I can confirm and assure you that there is an 85% or better chance that they will not get your order correct and approximately the same odds that your food will not be hot or fresh and that the managers working in this location absolutely do not give a damn. If you want to feel unappreciated, have your order wrong and possibly get food poisoning, I encourage you to go to this location in Wylie what a f****** joke of a location. You would think with a brand new Chick-fil-A and Whataburger right across the highway that this location, or at least corporate for this location could get their s*** together. Don't come to this McDonalds. I'm not sure if they are understaffed but the employees look absolutely miserable. The second window was particularly bad. Just a look of hatred and silence as they handed my my order before slamming the window shut. This time the food was quick and served hot, which was good, but I had gone at night. Avoid this McDonalds. Woeful staff, slipshod food preparation, cleanliness not a priority. At this McD you can be sure your cheese on your burger is either cold or hanging 3/4 off the side of your burger, your fries are unsalted, and the burgers ditto. It's not hard to center cheese or remember to salt the fries, but at this McDonalds both basic standard food assembly steps are ignored. I don't come to McDonalds to have to deconstruct my burger and reposition everything so that I don't have to hold a messy greasy leaking sandwich. I come for fast food well made to common standards. 12:29 pm on Saturday. Prime lunch window. Ordered two Filet O Fish meals and two Apple Pies. Filet of fish was COLD - the filet itself! Cheese was cold. Fries were STALE! I had to drive to this location after an extremely long line at another nearby location. With only 2 cars in front of me, I was out of here w/in about 5 min. Not on their "A" game tonight. I parked and ordered inside as a dine in order. The manager was taking my order too. I specifically said a cheeseburger, the sandwich only with just meat, cheese and extra pickles and another burger with just meat and bun only. I mentioned it was for dine in and apparently our food was sitting out the whole time on the counter. So when I finally went to check where my order was, it was the bag sitting on the counter. I was told my number was called but I didn't hear it and there were already two other customers that had been eating in dining area and then we made customer #3. Not sure of all the confusion but it was for dine in, so why in a bag? When I sat down I had 2 cheeseburgers. Had to get that fixed. When I was about to eat mine, I noticed my patty wasn't cooked thoroughly and was still a little red. At that point I asked for my money back. Manager did not seem to be helping her crew with these orders. She tried to deliver my meal one last time even after I was going to leave and received my money back and it was worse. Had ketchup, onions and looked so poorly fixed. Came here around 1:45 am on a Saturday night, in line ready to order and no one answers. Saw a worker put a cone behind my car but still no answer, tried to call and the line is busy. Would of been nice to know orders were done being taken instead of waiting just to watch everyone order and the lights go out on me. This is absolutely the worst mcdonalds (and come on, it's mcdonalds, it's not like the bar is super high). The line always takes absolutely FOREVER, especially on the weekends. The employees (for the most part) are mostly a bunch of kids and super rude. It never fails, there is ALWAYS something missing from my order and if I happen to catch it before I pull away they act like I'm lying and actually ask to see my bag. I even had one lady peek in my car to make sure I hadn't taken the item (a $1 hashbrown) out and sat it on my carseat or something. Last weekend the employee at the window was angry with his fellow workers and said very loudly "y'all are just f***ed up!" 3 times...I had my kids in the car. Very disappointing. Not only was the line ridiculously slow, I waited 10+ mins in the second hand drive thru line while I watched two people (who were behind me) go to the first drive thru line, order before me. Considering my parents have lived within walking distance of this McDonald's since I was born, I've had quite a relationship with it. I've been going there since the ball pit was awesome and good ole' Ronald had some scary looking sidekicks. So even though McDonald's in general disgusts me, I like to think I know a thing or two about this location. For one, it's been remodeled a gazillion times, and currently sports an Apple-esque trendy facade on the outside and faux-Richy Rich on the inside, which I have to admit contrasts with the smells wafting from the deep fryer. Decor aside, this location is usually kept quite clean. The staff seems to operate efficiently as far as time goes. With two drive-thru ordering lanes and several registers in-doors, I've seen them be pretty efficient with the lunch rush or when all the kiddie soccer teams show up after the game. As far as the food is concerned, it's pretty much what you would expect from any McDonald's. No surprises there in terms of quality. And I use the term "quality" loosely here. The main pet peeve I have with this location is how often they get my drive-thru order wrong. Now the amount of this might be affected by the fact I've been around the joint for the past twenty-five years, but it's enough to irritate me, and I'm not exactly uptight. Most often it's diet soda vs regular and vice versa, or sometimes even sweet tea in lieu of root beer. But every so often there is mustard and pickles on a cheeseburger I requested with ketchup only. But the real steamer? Every time I ask for Sweet and Sour sauce. And every time I DON'T GET SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE. It will be on my receipt and everything, clear as day. I've even had a few times where I dip my head in the bag and ask for the sauce, and I've had a manager tell me, "Oh it's in there." Is the sauce ever in there? NO. Forgive me if my decades old vendetta is coming out with the sauce. But who eats McNuggets raw? To be fair, I've been to worse locations with worse service, among other things. There's probably a reason this location has been around longer than me and will have a line wrapped around it when it's fast food neighbors are deserted. Went through the drive through at 5:15am. There was no rush or reason to mess up an order. Ordered a breakfast sausage and egg bagel. Got a totally different sandwich. Got a steak and onion bagel.
