Once voted "Best of Nisqually Valley" but do a little research and you find that it's the ONLY McDonalds in the Nisqually Valley. Pretty easy to achieve a top rating when you're the only game in town. Orders are quite often wrong with no apparent reason other than a staff that is too self absorbed to pay attention to details. Ray Kroc would be turning over in his grave if he knew what his company had become. This would be one of the stores he would close based on lack of quality alone. I met Mr. Kroc back in the 80's as a teenager in 1982 just before he passed in 1984 and one of his biggest pet peeves was the double fold on the bag. If you failed to do this, it meant you were spending the rest of the afternoon with him watching over your shoulder to make sure you did your job to HIS expectations. I have experienced hundreds of McDonald's restaurants in 10 different countries throughout my life, and this one ranks as one of the worst I've ever been to. Service was slow during lunch rush. This was mostly due to the fact they only had one register open at the front. Most times I come here I go through the drive thru. I don't normally have any problems in the drive thru other then not getting napkins or straws on a few occasions. read more

This place is one of the worst I've been to. They charge extra for any drink for the kids meal that is not soda. They also give me a hard time and tell me I can't get ice water for my meal unless I buy a value ice water. So, when I get a large meal I end up with this tiny water. Some employees substitute sweet tea with a special request but others simply refuse or don't know anything about it. My daughter got a kids meal that had no meal, only a toy. They constantly mess up. It never ceases to amaze me how quality control is totally missing at this member of the McDonald's family. This morning my husband ordered two big breakfast meals. When he arrived at home with them all the little things that make the Big Breakfast interesting were missing. No butter or preserves for the biscuit, no ketchup for the hash browns, no salt or pepper either. This is in contrast to the times we have ordered and gotten honey, syrup, preserves and butter when we didn't order pancakes nor ask for honey. This McDonalds was one of the worst examples of customer service I've ever seen. We pull into the drive through and were asked to wait, which is fine. Unfortunately, we waited for like 5 minutes without anyone checking in. We finally ordered just a drink and fries, then pull up to pay. After we paid, we go to the window to grab out food and the girl did not say a single word to us. She just handed us our food without hardly glancing our direction. As someone who has worked in the food industry this was irritating. They were not particularly busy at that time, and it is not difficult to smile or say have a nice day. First, they can't make a simple salad of five ingredients. That's pretty ridiculous all by itself. Second, they can't get an order right to save their jobs; nothing comes out the way we asked for it. Third, they work harder at going fast, than they do at getting your order correct or being polite to the customer. But if you can get past that AND you like eating other peoples pubic hair, then this is totally the restaurant for you. I however, will not being going back. read more

One star is not even the correct rating I should leave. It should be much lower. The fries are stale every time I come through, they never have their fries salted and if they are they are over salted. Also 2.60 before taxes for a SMALL McFlurry that is the size of a dentist waiting room water cup is down right ridiculous. They are also super stingy with their sauces even when you ask for extra and are willing to PAY for the extra sauce cups. I have ordered cheddar bacon chicken sandwich every time I go there. And not once have I gotten the right sandwich. I have called back to complain. They say I have to come back in and have it remade. That was great the first couple of times, but then I became exhausted with it. What is the point of a drive thru if you have to park and go in. I started checking them in line and having them remake it. I sent my boyfriend out while I was busy, and he came back with the wrong thing. Again. This McDonald's is so close to my house so ushley go there 3 times a week or more. The janitor is always giveing me and my freinds dirty looks and we sit there on our phones barely makeing a noise... they say if your eating in they will bring your food by the number on the side of the table iv probably only had my food brought to me a few times bc I have to go up and grab it and they said I missed my number when it was supposed to be handed to me, the manger is vary rude and once I came in and sat down geting ready to count my money she walked over and told me to order food or leave and was vary pushy and sometimes even stands by the door telling everyone to order food and go straight to the cash register like we can't even rest before we order, me and my freinds counted our money 3 times and had the right amount and they said we needed 15¢ like honestly plesse, until they recounted and relised we were right read more

All the workers are fine and the morning manager is really nice and funny but the afternoon manager is rude and disrespectful. A lot of students linger there after school and all so usually she yells at them and says she will call the police. A lot also just go to eat after school and hang out with friends while they do. Well I ordered food for me and my friends and she said that since I bought it they had to leave right away or she would call the police. So she does not care if you are buying for you and others but if you don't buy yourself you have to leave? Doesn't make any sense. And a lot of my friends are of color and she always refers to them as if they were in gangs because they wait around the area. I would subtract, and give this place negative stars if I could. I have dietary restrictions, I can't eat cheese and my daughter cant eat onions. I know this place isn't healthy at all, but I also had low blood sugar. So, I ordered from this POS place. When I got home the fries tasted old, they were cold and just gross. My burger had cheese, after I said no cheese, and my daughters burger had onions, after I said no onions. I don't understand how taking a step off the burger making process is such a hard concept for them! What really makes me mad is that they will be getting paid MORE soon just to screw up my food.
