STILL THE BEST AUTO SHOP IN TOWN! It's such a relief to know I found a mechanic that is honest, reliable, and fairly priced. I needed my $60,000 mile maintenance done on my 2017 Toyota Highlander. Frank Toyota (the dealership we bought the car from and who we do our routine maintenance with) quoted us at $1,800 !!!! YIKES!!!! I was in shock I called McHenrys immediately after I hung up and they were able to do it for less than $1,000 out the door. I'm writing another review because I am so impressed with the service and honesty of this family. They are so flexible and friendly and did I say honest? Something that I really need in a mechanic. I called because I'm leaving on a road trip and had a concern with my brakes. "Bring it by and I'll check it". So I'm here, was greeted and am watching my car being checked. Mac is the best mechanic we've ever used. He's responsive, honest, good at communicating, transparent and the list goes on. My parents have been going to Mac at McHenry's for repairs for twenty years and recommended him to us when our car had an issue. Mac inspected the car for a very reasonable price and we had thought there was possibly an issue with the fuel injector. After inspection, he actually found that there was nothing actually wrong with the car except the battery was running low and he gave us the option to replace the battery (or not). I've been to plenty of mechanics who would do anything to sell you more repairs, but not Mac, he's excellent at what he does and so trustworthy, which is exactly what I want when I'm working with a mechanic (especially as someone who zero car knowledge). For this particular incident, I was able to drop my car off late afternoon, he called me the next morning with an update on what was wrong with the car, I asked him to replace the battery and the car was ready that same afternoon. Amazing service, highly recommend. We'll be customers for life. read more

I had taken my car to the dealer twice to have the AC repaired and it still wasn't working. The owner of McHenry's found there was a recall on a part that caused the AC to fail, called the dealer and the dealer ended up making the repair at no charge. McHenry's is honest, saved me money and I finally had AC!! read more

I have been servicing my car at McHenry's for more than 10 years. I trust them to keep my vehicle safe and functioning well. I know I can get an honest opinion and a reasonable quote for service and repairs. Several times I have been pushed to have things repaired when I had headlights changed and smog inspections completed on the weekend at other auto businesses only to find that the work is not necessary at McHenry's when I seek their opinion and a quote for repair. My vehicle has 190k miles on it and I expect with continued assistance from McHenry's that I will be able to keep it running for several more years. read more

It took me 6 years to find a good one, hopefully Yelp saves you time and money! They even change our oil. I bring the oil (Mobil 1) from Costco and they do the labor and add the filter. McHenry's is the most honest, reliable, and affordable car service I have ever been to. I have two older cars and every time I come here Mac, Theresa, and Misty have always explained to me in layman's terms what was needed for my car. They would patiently talk to me on how they would approach fixing my car, how much the parts and labor are going to cost, and what my options are for my car in case I didn't want to fix everything at once. Every single time Mac does an amazing job on my car and I find my car runs smoothly and safely. I always come to McHenry's for an oil change and tune up on my car. I'm in and out within at least 20 minutes. Even when I have bigger issues with my car, because my car is old (about 15 years old), he always manages to fix it.
