Recently bought a 2011 Camero with only 11,000 miles on it and I love the car. The problem I had was being forced to pay $398 extra to "prep" the car and receive a sticker and pick it up Monday. I paid in full on Saturday but on Monday, nothing was prepped. Tuesday was the new "ready" day, but not true. Weds. I had to insist ready by Thursday late or I would cancel the purchase. In the end I did receive the car but it had grease fingerprints, was unwashed and unwaxed. I had to do it by hand. The window washer had zero liquid in it--so that wasn't part of my expensive prep.I Drove it home and threw out the standard protective paper disposable mats. Ugh. The real mat2 that go on the floor hook were missing. I have since called twice and visited in person twice and the mats promised are still "temporarily lost." $398 for "prep" but even un-preped I should have been given the mats at some point--at least within a month-- and offered a wash and wax. Easily the worst customer experience I have ever had anywhere hands down. The pressure to buy at that moment was unbearable. The sales people and their manager all would not let us leave their store. They actually even held our car keys "hostage" and were rude about handing them back to us. I stated no thank you I do not want to do a deal and then I then asked several times for my car keys back (they had taken them earlier to go check the VIN#) SEVERAL TIMES! I finally stated loudly in the store to whomever would listen "WILL SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME MY KEYS" The manager stepped into my space and said "what are you going to do about it". WHO DOES THAT? They refused - in the middle of a global pandemic - to do any negotiating over the phone. Their reasoning: "This is how we do it." Since purchase the vehicle failed inspection, had a dead battery, cracked tail light that I didn't notice cause i bought at night, vacuum pump replaced, faulty tire sensor, misfire of a spark plug, fuel pump needed to be replaced, radiator had to be replaced, thermostat had to be replaced, and currently the vehicle was towed to McGee as it was broke down with my 2 year old son stranded by the highway. One of many dealerships my son and I went to in our search for the first car he was going to purchase himself. The pricing of their used trucks were competitive but when i asked about a complete list of their fees it turned out they have a hidden fee of $1,500 if you don't finance your purchase through them and their interest rate was 2% higher. The dealer was quick to respond to my initial inquiry and had a good price. I ended purchasing the car. However within a day of taking possession I noticed issues with the car. I had to escalate every little thing to a manager to get attention. They fixed one issue with heat shield which was causing lot of noise but continue to refuse to address the issue with sunroof which does not operate. They categorized it as a cosmetic issue and insisted I pay for repairs. Now tell me if I purchase a car from a dealer and within 2 weeks find out a major functionality does not work and the dealer refuses to take responsibility what does it say about their integrity and reputation. I have made numerous good faith attempts to resolve this issue and have agreed to pay for part of the repairs but so far they are not even returning my calls. I found out later that they sold me a car with pending factory recalls which were over a year old. When I brought it to their attention, they dismissed me saying since they were not a Nissan dealer, they were not concerned about such trivial matter. Go Figure, they were praising themselves as very concerned about customers & their safety. During the Sales, they promised on how they pride themselves on their service and that they stand behind all their products & take care of any/all issues. But once you sign the contract, you are just in their history and they don't care about your issues anymore. Onto the next unsuspecting victim. After going round & round with the salesman about numbers, the sales manager Brian came to us, shook our hand & agreed to a price & monthly payment we were comfortable with. Said he could do the deal for the monthly payment we wanted. Next step the finance man who then told us our payment would be $100 more each month than the payment the sales mgr. guaranteed to do. They wanted us to pay $140 just to look at it and emphatically told me it was a "coincidence" that the ignition didn't work the day after the ignition recall was done. By far the worst experience EVER!! Do your self a favor and give your hard earned money to respectful dealers who actually care about you there's still a few out there do your research prior to wasting your time. Drove 98 miles each way for nothing. After tying to negotiate a deal they just get bashing on us. We literally tried leaving after an hour and they kept dragging and dragging to the point we wasted 2.5hrs to end up leaving without the specific vehicle they had in there lot. They took my keys to see what they can offer for my trade and then wouldn't return my keys. I had to ask for them 4x before they did. We caught them lying and we immediately told them and they walked away pretending to get our keys. They said they wanted to earn our business and longtime friendship but that sure was not the case. In the end they lost out on a awesome trade in which they would have made out on as well as a cash deal that we were ready to make. Getting my lease over 2 years ago was not so bad but the service department needs help. Not once but twice I have seen the office girls in the service department throw fits in front of anyone watching yelling at their management or whoever but on top of that you wait easily an hour to and hour and a half for your oil change. The last oil change I had they forgot to put a sticker of when my next one was due, I made an appointment for an oil change but they couldn't get me in until after I went over the allowed mileage. My lease came with free oil changes. So he told me I would have to pay for it and not only this one but from now on! As many drivers, you don't realize how fast you go through your miles and I wasn't sure since they forgot to put the sticker on.. not sure what they were doing for over an hour the last time on my car but now, I'm stuck paying for my oil changes . To be honest I am fine with that, It's easier to find a place closer to home that will not make me wait for over an hour even with an appointment, not be subject to listening to unprofessional employees have rude outburst like 5 year olds and oh yeah they will most likely put a sticker on my windshield as a reminder of my next service if they want my business. Hi folks I normally don't write reviews but today I felt that it was necessary. I have bought a dozen vehicles in my life time from my very first Chevy Camaro from veracka motors almost 30 years ago to now and in that time I have never dealt with such ignorant, incredibly rude, and out most un-professional staff than at McGee Chevy on the auto mile in raynham. As the customer and or buyer I feel like the dealership that wants to earn your hard working money for their products at their establishments should go above and beyond to achieve that, not at McGee Chevy folks not at all. The unprofessionalism is astounding from the way the staff gathers our front of the dealership doorway and smoke and joke amongst themselves using profanity and going about their business like there isn't a customer there waiting on service, a car to be pulled up, even just to ask if that person need anything like water,soda, etc ! So today I was there looking to purchase a 2014 bmw x series and while negotiating and finalizing rock bottom price of vehicle I then decided to add a trade in and want that to reflect the ( net ) price showing even more taken off their so called already discounted price. And what i was met with was incredibly ignorant and rude comments because the salesman and general salesman were basing their so called rock bottom price off a non trade deal. Well excuse me as the customer I thought it was my right to enter or not enter a cash value trade if and so I wish as I have and my wife have at numerous other dealerships corporate or mom and pop owned. I have always taken my Chevy Tahoe vehicle to McGhee for my routine services and oil changes since it is close to my home, and never had any issues. I don't know what has happened to the Service Department as of late, but the customer service as of the last two visits literally stinks. Took the vehicle in for oil change and air filter & cabin filter change. The issue was that when I turned on the air conditioner a day or so later, it was making a real weird noise. I was surprised that it was not checked before handing the vehicle back to me. When I noticed the issue, they said I had to make another appointment (a week or so out) to bring it back in. The service representative was so rude about it. So I chalked that episode to being just a one off situation and let it go, and the issue was fixed anyway. Well, I guess that this was not a one off situation. Our very next time I needed to have my inspection sticker renewed, and so I went online and made an appointment to bring it in (earliest appointment was two weeks away...so not a problem). About a week before the appointment time, the same person from my first episode called me and basically said it was against the state law to make an appointment for an inspection sticker, and that we just needed to bring it in on a first come first serve basis. Well, this was something that I did not know, but the service person was so friggin rude about it. Talking down to me like I was a total idiot for making an appointment for the inspection sticker. Well excuse me for not memorizing Massachusetts State Regulations for Vehicle Inspections!! So I had my boyfriend take it in for me on his day off without an appointment, and when he went there, they were extremely rude to him too, saying well your gonna have to wait for about 3 hours for the inspection. My boyfriend got frustrated and just left. Not so much about the 3 hour wait time, but for them being so rude about it. So he decided to take it down the road to the Greico Ford which is where he takes his truck for regular service. Ford took in my Tahoe and had it inspected and ready to go in 30 minutes. Thank you Greico Ford, you have always treated my boyfriend and I very well every time we have come in to service his truck, and now my Tahoe. They have never been nasty, condescending, or rude to us. I will take my Chevy there going forward for my vehicle needs. McGhee Chevrolet has lost me as a customer!! read more

I am disgusted with the service department. I brought my car in for the ignition switch recall and to have an oil change. I usually don't waste my money paying what dealerships want for service but it was going to be there anyway. Jim in the service department took my keys and I left the car for the day. I was contacted later that afternoon that service was complete and that I could come pick up my car. When I arrived David in the service department gave me my paperwork and handed me my new keys (as the ignition was replaced and required new keys). I asked him where my key fob was that I had left with Jim. David was very friendly and searched around for my key fob with no success. David told me he would speak with Jim and have him call me back and let me know when I could come pick it up. 2 weeks later I have not received any phone call regarding my key fob. I call back and speak with John the service manager who transfers me to Jim. Jim tells me he is fairly certain that I did not give him the key fob. I explain to him that the key and key fob are always together on my key ring as my key fob controls my keyless entry and remote start and I would have no reason to separate them. He tells me essentially that he did not lose my key fob and that there was nothing they could do. I ask to speak to his supervisor and John the service manager is put back on the phone. John reiterates what Jim says and tells me that "if Jim says he didn't lose your key fob then we can't help you". So regardless of the fact that I spent thousands of dollars on a vehicle purchase at McGee Chevrolet they cannot be bothered to swallow their pride, take responsibility for losing a piece of my personal property and either replace or reimburse me for the loss to keep my (and everyone I know) future business. I test drove the car I bought and after I came back and took it off the lot I realized they took off the Hyundai hubcaps and replaced them with cheap Wal-Mart ones. I just bought a new Silverado at McGee Chevrolet. I have to say after dealing with almost all the chevy dealers in the area and even some out in western MA, this dealer was straight forward and fair. Now,I understand someone's car buying experience at a dealership has a lot to do with who they talk to for a salesman. Some of the other dealers I went to had salesmen that made it seem like their job was a chore and they were doing ME a favor by just entertaining me with their time. Not the case at McGee. I actually had the opportunity to talk to the owner (Jamie) and one of the best sales man it think I have talked to (Sam). Both real stand up guys. All the salesman I have worked with in the past have all had the same qualities. They actually treat you like a person and not just dollar signs, they actually act like they want your business, and they show common courtesies, and of course offer a fair price. It seems harder and harder to find a decent salesman. My salesman Sam showed all these positive characteristics. He even helped clean the truck down for me so it was spotless when I drove it home because they were short handed. Just a genuine good guy. If you had a bad experience at this dealer.......you were not talking to him. After the deal was all said and done Sam even took the extra time to make sure I knew how to use all the electronics in the truck and said he would follow up with me to make sure everything was going good with the new purchase. I would never buy another vehicle there if my life depended on it. I went there to look for a used 2500 Silverado and a new one ended up being cheaper so I sign my life away and get a brand new truck. The salesman says " come back tomorrow we'll have your registration and put a sticker on it" I go back the next day and they say " oh sorry the registration won't be here for 3 or 4 hours " after I just drove an hour to get there. I sit and wait. A week or 2 goes by and I had a ton of play in the steering wheel and the radio was going on and off and the screen was flickering so i texted the salesman manny and he says bring it back I'll get it taken care of right away I brought it back and I was in the waiting room looking at my truck through the window. After an hour or so I finally see a few guys in the lot looking at it and the truck never left the spot they come in and say truck is all set you are good to go. Being a mechanic I know they did nothing and I watched them do nothing! I took the truck to best Chevrolet in hingham and told them I'm not leaving my truck here to sit and get it back not fixed. They sent the shop foreman out to look at the issues and he said "okay this thing has problems " they had it for a day or 2 and wouldn't ya know it needed a steering box and the radio needed to be replaced. A few weeks later I get an email from Chevy wanting a review of the sale and I tell them it was poor I bought a brand new truck you told me you'd help me get it fixed and you didn't. I have had THE WORST experience with Mcgee Chevrolet. I bought a 25,000 car,and they did not have it ready for me for weeks. When it finally was ready, I went to get it inspected and it failed and they fought the failed inspection because they are too cheap to buy new tires. The tires on the car I bought are unsafe. The managers are no older than 28 and DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU and your issues. I have many experience buying cars in my family and this is the WORST customer service I have ever had. I will say, Joyce, in finance has been helpful, and Jefferson seems to care but everyone else, is HORRIBLE. The service manager refuses to help and talks down to you. On Sunday, I bought MY first new car!! A 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ!!!! As we came in on Sunday, my husband and I were greeted by Sam Williams. He listened to what we were looking for, and took the time to show us the different trim lines of the Tahoe. No push, no rush! Sam did a quick check of their inventory, and had 1 Tahoe that fit what we were looking for. (I was thinking silver was the color we wanted, but we were open to White, which is the color they had on the lot.) He brought us on a very detailed test drive where he explained everything to us from what nobs controlled what to technical specs and safety ratings! We were impressed!!! Once we arrived back to the dealership they made us an offer for our trade and a price on the Tahoe; after some negotiations, which he made to be fun and interactive unlike most dealerships we visited (Quirk)! We agreed to purchase the Tahoe! At Quirk the negotiations were uncomfortable and they weren't willing to work with us on the price. Here not only did Sam make it fun but they worked with us on the price!! Once we agreed to numbers and we decided we wanted the Tahoe, the paperwork process flowed nicely, no surprises. The bottles of water and freshly popped popcorn were very appreciated!! The finance department did a very pleasant & professional job of running us through, explaining additional options, and answering questions with the formal "sign my life away" paperwork. Sam made sure the Tahoe was clean, filled with gas! The first maintenance service appointment was already made. Sam even took pictures of me, in my new truck! It was a good day. I love my Tahoe, and plan to have it for years to come. In all, the process of buying the Tahoe had no stress beyond "are we doing the right thing" that every buyer goes through. Sam and the entire staff were very professional, attentive, and helpful. It was a great experience all around!! At the end of the transaction we were even Thanked buy the General Manager, Jason Pacheco! We thought that was nice considering it happened to be a very busy Sunday there, people everywhere you turned! He assured us that if we needed anything in the future that they would be there to help! He even gave us a business card! Can't say enough good things! It's been almost a week since the purchase and Sam has already called us to see how we are making out with the new Tahoe and all the new options that we were not used to! Recently purchased a brand new 2020 silverado from this dealership. This is my second new Chevy I've purchased and I've always had a great experience dealing with chevy dealerships and chevy's customer service. This dealership is the exception. I was told the truck I would be purchasing would have the same options as another truck I was looking at would have plus it was a higher trim model. I went with what the sales guy told me and later after purchased found out this wasn't true in the least. To top it all off the check engine light on this brand new truck came on while I was driving home. When I reached out to the sales guy he said just take it in to your local dealership, basically blowing me off. Took it to my local dealership who informed me that an update on the computer hadn't been done as it was supposed to. Next morning the check engine light came on again. So it is day 5 of owning a brand new truck that I have hardly had. I reached back out to the dealership today to speak to a sales manager and basically got blown off again. He first stated if I wanted anything done it was time to call my lawyer, when I agreed he back pedaled and said maybe I'd get some help calling Chevy customer service.
