OH MAN! Sooo, quick and simple, NEVER GO HERE. They are incompetent, lazy, liars, and only skate by by doing the bare minimum. If I could give them negative stars, I would. The Details: I recently purchased an 08 ex35 infiniti. When taking the test drive had mentioned the rotars looked rusted. I was assured that it was minor weathering but it would be taken care of and that the car had had a complete tune up. After driving off, my tire pressure gauge light came on for he next 2 days. I informed the dealership the pressure was too high initially but now was low and was continually leaking, as I had filled the tire with air several times. I left work early, and drove 40 minutes from work. The service department patched my back tires and i was on my way again. When called to come in for my inspection sticker the next day I mentioned the tires looked really bald. I was then told to come back again tomorrow while they ordered new tires because they would not pass the inspection. A problem that should have been noticed and addressed by any competent servicer when patching it the first time. My pressure sensor reappeared shortly after for a 3rd time because apparently no one reads what the correct pressure for the car is, even tho its printed inside the door. 2 weeks later needed to be jumped and I found out that the problem was a corroded white encrusted old battery. Along with the vehicle shaking violently when ever breaks were applied. One more week later my back tires began making a grinding noise which by the end of the day turned into a loud scraping even when not pressing on the breaks. I informed the dealership and was told I needed to pay 100 dollar diagnostic fee to look at it. After yelling that them that my trips back and forth in addition to leaving work early so many times have cost me over 100 dollars and that this tire/rotar/break issue was pointed out DAY 1. They Still wouldn't budge on the 100 fee. I returned the next day to 3 replaced rotars and one resurfaced due to severe warping along with all new break pads. Issues that , again, should have been noticed not only the first time patching the tire, but again when replacing the tires, and again on inspection. This dealership is so hell bent on the bare minimum of service that it put myself, family, & 9 year old step daughter's life in danger due to their, lazy, & negligent incompetence, along with falsely passing a car inspection that had no business passing in the first place if done correctly. I will be contacting the BBB, and Attorney General of Motor Vehicles in regards to how piss poor and potentially fatal errors their service department have made, including the fact that they are so terrible at their job that they could not even fill the tires correctly again after the entire ordeal. When asking for the previous service records so that I could see what had ACTUALLY been address on the car since it had been purchased in 2012, I was met with the response that they could not find any paperwork for anything, EVER. HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! FUCKING HORRIBLE. Update* Week 5 is now upon us and my Oil maintenance light has come on meaning they never even gave the car an oil change making their claims of a "complete tune up" absolute BULL$#&%. read more

I was never a fan of Chevy but against my better judgement I decided to purchase a vehicle from McGee because I was friendly with someone who worked in the sales department. Promises were made to me stating that if something were to go wrong with the vehicle it would be taken care of. That promise could NOT be further from the truth. I purchased a certified pre-owned 2014 Chevy Traverse in 2019 with an extended warranty. I had nothing but problems with it the minute I drove it off the lot. There were issues with the breaks they referred to as "lot rot." The a/c had to be repaired immediately after I bought it & still doesn't work correctly. Within the first few months I noticed the "service air bag" light would come off and on. It eventually stayed on permanently but that was when they were closed during the height of the pandemic so there was nothing I could do about it. When things started to open up I brought it in and paid a fortune to have the a/c and other issues fixed and was told by Rick in the service department that as far as the "service airbag" Issue goes "I must have ripped all of the air bag wires out from underneath the drivers seat causing the air bags to malfunction?????" There isn't even easy access to the wires so that DEFINITELY didn't happen. I was given the song and dance of " Sorry, it's not covered under the (joke of a )warranty we sold you and it will cost you almost $1000 to fix" What a bull shit excuse to get out of paying for a major safety defect. It was a year ago but I remember a reference along the lines of "Well, what do you expect when you buy a vehicle that's 5 years old?" Even after that annoying exchange he still had more of a personality than his boss Ed. I was paying $400 a month to drive around in a piece of crap vehicle I had less than a year with lukewarm a/c & no air bags. Somehow it passed inspection the first year. Fast forward to this month & that's unfortunately not the case. The mechanic I brought it to said if he rejected it, it would be a safety issue & I wouldn't be able to drive it at all until the problem is fixed. Imagine that... having a huge car payment on a shitty vehicle you cant even drive?! These scam artists SOLD IT TO ME LIKE THAT and they know it. They got their sale & had no problem sleeping at night knowing the safety of my children could potentially be in jeopardy due to THEIR negligence. I'm a single mother and don't have $1,000 just laying around at my disposal right now. I never leave reviews but I'm sick to my stomach thinking about my whole experience & this review is my therapy. This dealership from sales, to finance, to service are all a bunch of snake oil salesmen. It's also funny how over a year ago they told me I needed a new battery because mine was almost dead. I went to several auto parts stores who said my battery was perfectly fine. In fact, over a year later I'm still driving around with that same "almost dead" battery ( with no airbags of course!). My son purchased a truck from McGee a year ago in April and had a decent experience. Yesterday he received a message from them regarding some new trucks they had on the lot and that they were interested in his truck he had purchased from them a year ago. He decided to go and take a look at the new inventory and see if he could get into a new vehicle. While inquiring on the price of the truck he was interested in and also offering for them to look at his truck, the salesperson refused to provide him any sort of numbers for either until he signed paperwork stating he was going to purchase it. He knew this didn't sound right(he's 22), so-called his father and I to come down-I helped him with his previous purchase. Once we arrived, (which he had already been there for at least 45 minutes they still wouldn't provide him a price) he brought me to the salesperson he was trying to work with. I immediately asked for the price of the truck and the sheet, which shows all the options and costs. The salesperson stated they don't ever have window stickers for used vehicles. He then immediately got up to get the sheet and also a price. Why? What was different from when my son asked other than I'm in my late 40's and he's in his early 20's? Discrimination much?! After telling me the price and showing me what the truck sold for in 2018, they were selling it for $1000.00 LESS USED with scratches and mileage, than it had sold for in 2018 BRAND new. I understand the market is crazy right now but again $1000.00 LESS 3 years later-laughable and a complete waste of someone's time! We quickly left as 1: they were already shady with trying to have my son sign a purchase agreement before knowing any pricing at all for the new to him vehicle & his trade-in, thankfully he's not naive; 2. they clearly were playing games with him to see what they could take him for; 3. Low balled me on trade. I immediately said were too far apart and I'll be on my way. Continue to negotiate with me, wanting me to accept their numbers. I'm adamant with my number and won't budge. I needed to ask for my keys no less than 8 times. Each time they told me so an so was getting them and would bring them shortly. 20 minutes later and me on the edge of calling the cops they bring them to me when I'm outside waiting at my vehicle and thoroughly pissed. We first met with the dealer Josh, who was visibly hungover and couldn't find some of the vehicles we wanted to see that he said were on the lot, and made no attempt at finding them even with us asking repeatedly. We looked at about 4-5 vehicles, were told they were all within our price range of 11k, we chose a car, were told that it was 10.9k, it was a Sunday so we had to come back to meet with financing and when we came back they told us the car was 15k, upon telling them this was not what we had agreed on they told us every other vehicle we looked at was 10.9 except this one. We are on a strict budget and wanted to try to keep our payment low, we were told by the finance manager that he would put us on biweekly payments so "psychologically it seems like you're paying less". Like many others it wasn't my first time at the new car buying rodeo. I think the problem with most people is they're afraid to just straight up say what they want. Even if it's totally ridiculous to ask way over book value on my trade in, that is a decent running/looking car but is old, I asked anyway. Even though my required monthly payment amount was lower than typical, I asked anyway. Guess what... I got what I needed to make the deal. My grandmother always said "If you want something, ask for it, you might just get it." I am surprised to see negative reviews here. Two months ago my husband leased a brand new Silverado. We worked with Mike Sylvia to get the best possible deal and we had the best possible experience! So last weekend when it was time for me to trade in my car, I went right back to Mike. I already knew what I liked, what I wanted and how much I needed in trade. He remembered me right away, got the car I wanted, we drove it, we negotiated a bit and I purchased the car. Mike is awesome! He is kind and considerate, very personable, not intense or crazy trying to make a fast sale... I would recommend working with Mike if you're in the market for a new or used Chevy. The dealership even threw in a discounted moon-roof to be installed in a few weeks since I wasn't able to add it to my deal before hand. Went to look at a Ford f250 XLT truck was scratched on the side salesman says oh we'll buff that out went for a ride the ride was great until we went in to make a deal tried to give me shit money for my truck I was trading in at least 3 grand less then what it was worth (compared to other offers) I asked for an explanation and was told oh we'll work with you. Asked why my payment was so high compared to truck I've looked at with the same price. Salesman to me what do you expect with a 50,000 truck. Told me I had to put 15000 down just to get to the payment I wanted. I said I was all set and would like my keys back. I asked for my key 5 time before the salesman got up and "went to get my keys". A few minutes later he come back with his manger on his high horse told me I could make the deal with him. At this point I was pissed off was kept waiting and was made to feel like I need to make a deal that minute. I asked the manager for my keys and he told me "we aren't holding your keys hostage " still not getting me my keys. I asked the manager 5 or 6 more times before he sent the salesmen's to get them. Still trying to make a deal with me. At this point I was 100% leaving he still trying to make a deal with me. I final got my keys after asking 10+ times. So I got my 2014 Honda accord sport, and it has been messed up, I brought it up 5 times for there mind you I live 30 minutes away from them, just got there servi department to have it for 3 days and ship it. Whole time I knew my catalytic converter was poop, wit No check engine light yet all they had to do was a quick check with the car running and would've Heard it. some will kno this problem causes loss of vaccum and a pretty bad mpg and gas is almost at 5$. my cel turned on the day after I brought it and I called as an upset customer. The way they handled it was terrible, no customer service skills, they tried to lie and invalidate me every point I made, and i Know what I'm talking about I've been workin for dealers my whole life. In the end of it the Man who sold me the car, mr. Melo I think sent me some nasty messages that include some derogatory statements against me. I will post the messages on google review As well. Worst dealership I have ever been to. Lies, lies, lies. They falsified towing information about the truck I bought and left me hanging. After realizing the truck had absolutely no tow package (they told me it had the max tow package), the sales manager Brian admitted they made a mistake but put 100% of the blame on me for driving it off the lot (after they lied). He told me "tow with the truck anyway, you will be fine." They put my wife, newborn son, and I in a very tough and dangerous spot because of their incompetency. Decent experience. Price was reasonable. Would get 5 stars but it took them a week to register my new car, which is fine but they had terrible communication. Receptionists gave me false information. Every time I asked to speak to a manager I was told he was busy. Had to Uber everywhere for 5 days. About $250 in rides. Had to call them 10+ times. Mike camero, one of the managers was very helpful. If it wasn't for him I would have rated 1 Star. I strongly recommend you show up whenever there is an issue, over the phone they will shrug off every complaint and say management is busy. read more

My salesman was just the right guy and the dealership was willing to do anything to let my mechanic see the car I wanted to buy even offering me to be allowed to take it to work if I had to since I lived a bit away. I ended up just bringing it to a more local mechanic who let me know the thing was a junker so I'm glad I did! I suppose that's used car business. After driving out of my way, and showing up for my scheduled appointment on time, I was told that they were "too busy to accommodate me today" as I watched a handful of sales associates walking around with their hands in their pockets clearly looking for business. After being told they would call me several days later (which they never did), and to "come back another day" they had the audacity to ask for a deposit on a proposed 80+k$ vehicle that they wouldn't even give me the time of day to design. My GM Lease was due to expire on January 17, 2019 so I went to McGee Chevrolet to look into purchasing a new vehicle or getting into a new lease. I worked with Sean Griffin in sales and Brian Apostolon in management on the deal. I informed them that my lease had about a $1600 mileage overage and I had two payments left at $200, and this had to be considered as part of the amount I could bring to the table for a new vehicle. I was in no hurry to turn the lease in early but was told this was the best way to go. We had to raise the amount of our deposit from $2500 to $4000, and were offered a certified used vehicle to fit the budget we had. Before we signed the financing documents, I again asked the salesman if the lease grounding was all set, to which he replied it was taken care of. I was asked to call the leasing company and let them know that the lease would be returned to McGee. On the day I was called to pick up my new vehicle, the leasing company told me to make sure the grounding fees were taken care of by the dealership. At this time, I called Sean Griffin, who upon putting me on hold to speak with his manager, informed me that he was sorry but since this was a certified used vehicle, the overage and leftover lease payments could not be negotiated ahead of time. He told me to come and pick up my vehicle and not to worry, as they would negotiate the balance when I received my bill. He also told me he would give me a signed document stating so. He warned that if I didn't pick up my vehicle, I could lose my $4000 deposit. At that time, I didn't feel I had much of a choice. Two months later on Friday January 25, I received the overage bill for $2485 due February 6th, which I immediately forwarded to Sean Griffin. After no response, I called the dealership on Tuesday January 29th and spoke to Will Terban, mgr. I explained my situation and he told me that Sean had left the company about two weeks prior. I was promised he would call the GM rep and do some research and get back to me. At that point, I called GM Financing and made them aware of what had happened, upon which they informed me that there is absolutely no negotiation, and I would have been better off if I had purchased or leased new. After I posted this review, and submitted a complaint to the BBB, I was contacted by the general manager. He took my complaint to the owner and we were able to come to a resolution. Unfortunately, the problem was the dishonest salesperson who is no longer with the dealership, and so could not be disciplined or held accountable. Overall, I'm very content with the speed, honesty, and empathy with which this bad situation was handled. read more

First they told me if I paid the first two months up front I would have save money on my monthly payments but when it came time for them to pay the two payments they said that I only paid the firat and they can't pay two months ahead. Shopping for a new SUV lease. Had purchased 2 Equinoxes from them before. Couldn't get them to give a price without giving them a refundable down payment. Ok, here is 100.00. Still no price except over and over "if I can get you a great price will you buy it right now" from the general manager. Total slimy experience. Called Cat the salesperson that night and told her to refund the 100. Three days later and two more communications where she "will look into it" and no recredit. After 10 days I called my credit card company and they did a recredit. Nissan down the street was great so now changed brand bought a vehicle there. read more

I wish I had checked yelp before going to this place. I'm not typically someone to leave a negative review, but I couldn't imagine much worse of an experience and now I'm waiting in another dealership while work is done on the "certified" 2017 outback I just bought 4 days ago, so I have the time to warn others. In negotiating the price of the car, we were told that the dealership would "absorb" the cost of the tax and fees to encourage us to seal the deal. I asked what "absorb" meant and the salesperson responded with "come on now, try to follow along", which I found incredibly disrespectful but decided to brush aside because I thought we were getting a good deal. I was suspicious that this sum was being "absorbed" into the financing and asked specifically if the dealership would be covering the equivalent of these costs by reducing the price of the car. I was told yes. We were then asked to sign a bill of sale without any prices printed on it, which we refused much to the audible frustration of the salesperson. When we met with financing and the numbers were finally listed, nothing had been "absorbed" but instead had been added to the financing. We have excellent credit and ended up with a 5+% interest rate, which he said he could do better on if, and only if, we agreed to an extended warranty. Frustrated and planning to walk out, we were told to speak with the salesman again, who lied and said that he had explained this and "of course the dealership can't change the price". We went to walk out and while waiting for our deposit back, were met with the manager who said that they couldn't do anything more to the price and that we must've misunderstood. I said that I felt disrespected by the "try to follow along" while I specifically asked about this and then was subsequently lied to. Despite multiple statements that the dealership couldn't do anything to lower the price, he offered to cover a small documentation fee. I was ready to leave but my husband really liked the car and talked me into leaving my feelings aside and buying despite all this. We informed the manager of this and he said, "I hope you didn't REALLY feel disrespected..." As if I had been putting on an act or something for a deal! I immediately regretted moving forward. We bought the car on a Saturday and arranged to pick it up on Tuesday. On Monday, we called to make sure they had all the info they needed for the insurance and registration. We were told they were all set. On Tuesday, before I left work, I called again and confirmed that the insurance, registration and inspection were all set and was told they were. Mind you, this dealership is 90 mins from my house. We get there and there is the ever-present group of salespeople waiting by the door like vultures. I was told that there was a full service and inspection as per their certified policy, with a 172 or whatever point inspection. He informed us that they couldn't print the inspection sticker because the printer malfunctioned, but that if we texted a photo of the inspection receipt, they'd reimburse us, or we could spend another 3 hrs round trip the following day to pick it up. Why didn't they take it to any shop on that same street for an inspection while they were just waiting around? And why wasn't this told to me when I called? We were then also told that there was only 1 key and we'd have to pay the $220 for a second one and go to another dealership to do this, it takes about an hour. Even more frustrated and eager to leave, we got on the road and discovered there was NO inspection sticker- I had thought he meant they just couldn't update it with a new one, not that there was no inspection. And then about 30 mins into the drive home, the TPMS light came on. The next morning, Wednesday, waited 30 mins to do the state inspection so I could actually drive the car legally and learned that the codes had been reset 118 miles earlier (our drive home was probably 50 of those miles). What were they hiding?? I texted on Wednesday for the paperwork to document any service done at McGee and for the refund for the inspection and received a reply that he was off and would get to it when he returned. Texted again Friday, with the response that I should go to my local Subaru dealership and ask if they have any records, or check the pocket of the owners manual. I asked for the checklist or whatever McGee did in-house and was told that's not available. And now, I'm at a Subaru dealership to wait an hour for a second key to be programmed, and learned immediately after checking the car in that it has a software recall issued months ago. BUYER BEWARE!! Horrible experience buying a new vehicle here. This dealership took advantage of my senior citizen father by making him pay the taxes on HIS trade in. When he questioned them about it, the dealership committed to refund via check when he picked up his new vehicle, stating they were incorrect in charging him. Fast forward to picking up the new truck, the dealership refused to reimburse as promised. Told us to "take it up with the RMV." In addition, promised a great interest rate on the truck and gave a 5.9% to someone with perfect rated credit. Will be contacting BBB and additional resources about this scam. read more

***BUYER BEWARE*** Do yourself a favor and DO NOT purchase a vehicle from this dealership. They are basically thieves!! I purchased a $20,000+ Jeep from here in November and have nothing but problems from DAY1!! First they bring me the vehicle with a failed Ignition Coil and when I call to tell them there is something drastically wrong (as its bucking all the way on the highway) they tell me to just go home and schedule an appt. to get it fixed at a Jeep dealership because they do not do the work on Jeeps. I said "no way" you fix it and I drove it back. Fast forward a couple of weeks,,,,only came with 1 key, antenna broken off,,,broken passenger window motor, chipped windshield AND in less than 2 weeks, a dead battery. Asked since day 1 to just cancel the deal and give me my money back and they responded that they do not ever do that, it is not their policy. Fast forward another few months on the first warm day, NO A/C!! Cost me a little over $1000 to replace the condenser on the A/C. Oh, and as they are fixing that they tell me that the air duct cover is completely missing making it possible for rain/water to get sucked into the engine. Mind you it was a pretty big piece. This is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Wish I could give 0 stars. Also wish I had read some of these reviews before I went there. This dealership, sad to say, is one of the shadiest dealerships I have ever dealt with. What started out to be a good experience quickly nose dived into a shady con game. I will leave out names here. But three weeks ago I took my mother to McGee to buy a Chevy Trax. I walked into the dealership with approved financing in hand from my credit union. First off, they tried to sell me a 2016 Trax priced at $19,988 and it was listed through Kelly Blue Book at their dealership for $15,988. Granted the vehicle has approx. 17,000 miles on it, and was in decent shape,(except for rust on under carriage), but that is a $4,000 difference. They said they could get me a better rate than my credit union, so I agreed to give it a try one time! They , as the salesman himself used the term to describe other dealerships shady practices, "shot-gunned" my credit report because they attempted TEN times to try to get financing at a better rate and terms than what I walked in with!!! When I asked the salesman why this vehicle was listed as two separate prices he couldn't give me an answer. The finance department was more concerned with making a commission for getting financing so they didn't care what or how they did all of those finance attempts. It was ridiculous!!! My credit score took a 15 point drop immediately thanks to all the hard inquiries they did! When I went to tell them I just had a very bad feeling now about their practices and false claim, they then attempted to pull out more stops. I just said I wanted my deposit back. Then came the phone call from the head guy in financing to tell me they had this wonderful financing. At that point, I had made an appointment at Copeland Chevrolet to look at another Trax, 2 years newer and with 2000 less miles and was $2000 less than the 2016 Trax McGee had!! When I told them that, they scoffed and stated that Copeland was going out of business because of "their " practices. Not likely!! Summing up, I went to Copeland (already told them I had financing and did not want them to try to get me financing because McGee had already done enough damage to my credit score). The purchase at Copeland was pleasant, professional and not shady crap when I stated I just wanted to buy the vehicle with my own financing! I would not recommend this dealership because of their shady practices. Also, the group of sales people standing outside the door smoking and just jabbering with pretty foul language from a couple of them-not very professional or inviting. Would never purchase a vehicle at this place. My girlfriend was interested in test driving a 2017 Colorado Z71 as she was comparing it to the Canyon and the Tacoma to see which she liked best. We went to McGee 45 minutes before they closed on a Saturday. Yes, I understand it was just before closing time, but we weren't looking to purchase that day anyway, she just wanted to look at them. So we walked around the lot looking at the Z71's of which they had a few. We were kind of taken aback by one of them that was off in the corner. It was brand new, and the wheel was absolutely demolished. Completely undriveable, so not sure what they did to that one. So we went inside when no sales men came over to greet us, and we literally stood in the lobby for at least 5 minutes waiting for someone to greet us. Not one person did. The sales men were all standing around laughing and joking with each other. There were at least ten of them, and they were clearly not busy. We were potential customers of a near $40k truck. My guess is that they knew a sale wouldn't happen that day so it wasn't worth their time to come talk to us. So we left. And bought a Tacoma. After a few days later telling her uncle the story, he told us two other horror stories about dealing with this dealership that he had. In addition, if you are looking to buy a new truck with a plow, do not buy it from this place. I live near and drive by this dealership every day. Deceit, lies and fraud by finance management, Anthony Monteiro, sold me a car, 2014 chevy cruz, was totaled in an accident, financed thru Pawtucket credit union, RI. after haggling with safety insurance, they called and offered more money if I had all they options the credit union told them when he asked if I had power sun roof, special radio, flip up gps system and another I said NO too all. well he said he talked to credit union and said his pictures of car from adjuster don't show them, now its fraud and after talking and offer to be a witness the people involved and Dealership will pay the almost $4700.00 difference.. Most everything I did to buy 2 cars was the worst time ever dealing with a dealership This is everyone's worst thing to do buying a car. Are you getting a good deal or not. And every time you leave you never feel good about buying a car. This time was the same They start high and you have a frustrating time negotiating to get a good deal I don't expect much difference between dealerships with getting a good deal but the rest of it.
