They showed up on time when promised every day, were careful and thorough in their work, and accommodated a number of special requests with colors and trim. We recently had our deck and fence stained by McMaster and couldn't be happier with the results. From the start, the customer service was top notch, and the quality of work matched that after the guys were done powerwashing, sanding, and staining. I just used McMaster to paint some walls and fix baseboards to prepare my house for sale. Kevin was quick to come out and give me a quote and even had suggestions on how to save money. I wish I could post a better review for the price we were charged, however, there are several flaws in the paint job I cannot overlook. After getting multiple bids, we decided to go with McMaster to paint our 2400 sq ft condo. At first we had some payment issues, which was the fault of my credit card company, however, the office staff gave up on the matter, and I had to resolve it independently. The paint job itself seems very rushed, as if the edges, particularly between the ceilings and the walls were not taped. We paid to have a job done that we could not do ourselves, yet, particularly in the corners and where the walls meet the ceiling, it is clear that there is some sloppy work and some overlap. We were asked to come view the work prior to it being done, and were able to point out some flaws, however, it was unclear to me when I check how much work there was left to do. To my knowledge, Kevin did not come back and check the work that his staff had done, either. As it stands, there are unfinished corners, sloppy wall/ceiling joints, paint on the wood floors that was spilled and not cleaned up, and there is even white paint on the bathroom walls from where it splattered from painting the ceiling. (We do not have the wall paint, so I cannot touch it up, either; it will have to be repainted or wallpapered over.) At the end, we were also left with gallons and gallons of paint siting on our dining room floor, along with a roller and multiple paint brushes . When I asked if they were coming back to get it, I was told that it was extra paint that we should save. Given that we only had space for 1/3 of it in the house, the rest of it is sitting on our deck, rusting, while I figure out to do with it. At the end, I was asked by the job foreman what they should do with my keys. I told him that he could leave them at their office, and I would pick them up. I them received two more calls that made it clear they were at the office, so I said they could mail them back. I got repeated calls after that as to how they should get me the keys, so we finally changed the locks, so as to alleviate the issue. Given that the job cost over $6K, I do not feel like we got what we paid for, and will not only never use them again, but would also not recommend them. It was a rushed, sloppy job at best. read more

I emailed McMaster Painting for an estimate to paint our guest room, and within minutes, Kevin sent me a prompt response with a fair price. We scheduled the work, and 4 days later, the painter (Sergio) showed up on time with all necessary tools. He got down to work prepping the walls, taping edges, and protecting the floors. I was soooo happy to find McMaster Painting! I needed some exterior painting done before I listed my house for sale. After researching and contacting a handful of painters with very positive reviews (including McMaster), I decided to go with McMaster. They were busy (as is any reputable contractor right now), but they got me on their schedule during the busy late summer/early fall season. They painted a front door entryway, new deck siding, and a garage door in 1 day and did a fantastic job. A few weeks later, I was in desperate need of having some interior ceiling and touch up painting done before I began having showings at my house and even though they were very busy, they fit me in. Again, they got my job done promptly and it looks great!!! They are responsive, their pricing is fair, they arrived when they said they would, and the quality of their work is top notch. Extra props to their foreman, Frank, who worked on both of my jobs and was great - super nice, hardworking, and a pleasure to deal with! I needed 2 bedrooms painted that had pretty bad water damage. I put a request out on Yelp and got several replies but McMaster asked for my number and followed up in a day. Nikki scheduled an in home estimate for 2 days later. Their bid came in a bit higher than my other 2, but I could tell by how they handled the project, that McMaster would have more value than just the painting. They were able to set up service dates like within 2weeks. Juan and his team of 5 showed up right in time and got right to work. I have small bedrooms, and some big furniture, and they were able to move everything without hurting anything! They worked quick, efficiently, they were polite, it took 2 days as planned. It looked great, but I had a few issues. I contacted Nikki and her and Kevin were very understanding and apologetic. I had someone out to fix them within two days. As of the time of this review everything has been fixed, and the job looks beautiful. Sometimes issues occur after having work done, that's a given! It's how you were treated and how the issues are resolved that is important and differentiates a company from a great company. Obviously I was very happy with my selection of Mcmaster and would highly recommend them. Their response time is immediate on everything! read more

We used McMaster to paint our condo before we moved in. We only had a short window of time for them to be here to paint our walls, doors, and trim. They initially quoted us seven to eight days of painting, but managed to pull in some extra crews and got everything done in five days, which meant they finished before we moved in! The foreman made a couple judgement calls that were right on the money, and they even threw in painting some of the trim for free! I've already recommended them to our neighbors and will use them again if we ever need more painting. read more

Kevin and his crew did a great job with our house in Lakeview. They did drywall repair where we had some moisture damage, tape work, trim painting, and ceilings. I have used McMaster painting twice now. They stained my roof deck last Spring and just completed a 3 day paint job for me. Everyone form Kelly in the office, the owner Kevin, and Mark, Refugio, and Sergio have been professional, responsive, and super nice. The paint job was meticulous and there was never a mess. I had no problem leaving my key w/ them for 2 days while I was at work. 2 other owners in the building have used them also. I plan to call them again to have 2 small decks stained and our stairwell. First he painted many walls and ceilings in my condo that was getting ready for sale (now pending sale), painted our common stairway walls, and most recently completed our iron and deck work.
