I can't praise Lynwood and McMurrays enough. Lynwood came out with an hour of my request late at night after our AC stopped pumping cold air. The house was extremely hot and my wife and daughter were very uncomfortable. There was no way we were getting any sleep unless the AC was fixed. My AC unit was not functioning (not blowing cold air, or any air) after I turned it on for the first time this season. Knowing that hotter weather would be coming soon, I felt I needed to jump on this issue soon, and read through some Yelp reviews. McMurrays had great reviews, a lot of them focusing on their responsiveness, friendliness, and knowledge. Thankfully, the reviews turned out to be right. I called Lynwood on a Wednesday, and they sent a tech out the next day (probably could have been sooner if I had been available). The tech (Mike) quickly diagnosed/assessed the problem and we scheduled a follow up visit to fix the problem (the unit had to de-ice first). Lynwood came for a followup, and had the work done in under an hour. It's an older unit, and I appreciated them providing a diagnosis that wasn't a complete replacement/overhall (I'm not prepared to go that route at the moment), but rather maintenance/solutions needed to make if function, which included cleaning the outdoor unit and freon replacement. Their price for these services seemed fair to me (although admittedly I haven't had a lot of experience in this area.) Highly recommend this firm - very responsive, accommodating in terms of scheduling, plus friendly, knowledgeable and professional techs/personnel. read more

From a very grateful customer. When the furnace stopped working properly in the middle of a winter storm, I called McMurray's Heating & AC. The front office was very responsive. Even though it was Saturday afternoon, the technician came out on Sunday. He quickly identified the problem, advising me that the draft motor needed to be replaced. They made sure to order and replace the part quickly, the technician worked as long as it took to install it, and the house had functioning heat on Tuesday. These guys are the real deal and consummate professionals. I had two AC systems for a split house that had not been serviced in 7 years and needed work. The smaller system needed cleaning and treatment to prevent mold in the basement unit and the larger upstairs was no longer cooling due in part to a lack of coolant. After the work was done, the upstairs started to fail again in a few weeks. Lynwood immediately came back out and identified the problem as a bad compressor. It was clear that he was not pleased the initial work had not fully addressed the problem, even though they had done everything correctly. He worked with me to creatively explore various solutions that were within my budget, though always emphasizing the need to stick with a sound approach that would last over the longer term. Ultimately, he stayed in regular touch over a couple of weeks and helped me to find a high quality new system at an excellent price. They then had a great technician, Tim, also highly professional, come out and install it. Lynwood stopped by to check on progress and make sure everything was going ok. Tim stayed until nearly midnight to ensure all was done correctly and worked the way it should. Cannot say enough about this company and their staff. I will be following their recommendations to have more frequent maintenance checks and cleaning done and highly recommend them to anyone who needs work on their HVAC systems. I contacted McMurrays around 8 tonight through Yelp messaging. By 9 Lynwood was at my house. I was shocked that they were willing to come and get my ac running for us late, but so thankful that they were at the same time. I was especially happy to be able to discuss a few updates that my home needs and that Lynwood was so knowledgeable. He didn't care that I asked him a million questions and I appreciated that he allowed me to watch what he was doing, but that he also explained what he was doing, and made sure I understood what I was paying for before the work was started. I have an extremely busy schedule with work and travel and you can imagine how devastated I was when my AC stopped working on a hot 95 degree day. Quickly searched yelp, called a few places and Mr. McMurray was the only one that could make it out to NE the same day. I live in one of these 'flipped' houses and the developers have done a very bad job cutting corners to save pennies. My unit is 2 years old and I never thought I would have problems with it so early on. The guy who came to check out our system arrived an hour after the window provided but was really nice and gave great info on our system and definitely knew what needed to be cleaned and what fixes could be made to our system. We also appreciated him making sure our dog was comfortable. He said our ducts needed cleaning so helped us get a second team out the following evening. The second team was also great. They sold us on a few additional cleaning services that would improve air quality for the next five years. With my wife pregnant - it made sense for us to make this investment in our air quality. We called on a Friday, right before the Fourth of July long weekend. Mike came by and diagnosed the system in under 30 minutes. Since we chose to purchase a new AC unit, Mike refilled our older unit with freon to hold us over until Wednesday.
