We…read morehad an appointment at 10 am to be seen, arrived prior to the appointment time and sat and waited, an hour past and I ask about the time and there was a guy said that they were behind, I told him that I would be back, I left the truck and went on with my day. Around 2:30-3pm I called and they said that they just got it back to look at it and they told me what needed to be done to fix the problem that the truck was having, I gave consent to move forward with the repairs. Time went on it was after 5pm and I had not heard from them, I called and they said they were putting everting back together it would be ready shortly. But while telling me that he said that one of the brake lines wasn't working properly. So instead of saying "hey let me keep it overnight and get the break line fixed" they put everything back together and let us pay and drive off. Got down the road and the truck was doing the same thing it was doing before. So the following morning we called back down there and they said bring it back and they would make it right. Took it back down there and left it and later that day they called and told me that it was ready and it would be $180ish dollars, I said excuse me? He told me the cost again, I said sir I just paid you almost $900 yesterday and you think I'm going to pay additional money today because you or your techs didn't fix the truck correctly? You have me mistaken, I'm not paying any additional. Keep in mind the tech told me the day before that they were "throwing" it back together, while also telling me there was an issue with the brake line. So they knew it was going to be an issue and just wanted to get paid and send me on my way, which put my LIFE in jeopardy. What if the brakes completely failed & I had an accident and got killed or killed someone else? Jim's tire doesn't care about you as a person/customer. They are only looking for the money. The "manager" called me and told me that he would take the labor off the bill but I still needed to pay for the parts that they used. Then he said he was going to erase the whole invoice and I could go pick up the truck. He knew what they had done and he knew it wasn't right, he didn't want any issue. I told him I was going to let everyone I knew know how they done us and that we would never use them for service again. I would suggest that you do the same, avoid them at all cost. Be patient if you leave a couple voicemails with days in between a call back (or weeks). When you're good it means you're busy. Then stop worrying once you're booked because this will be a less expensive journey than usual. You'll get a legit assessment of what needs done, and no pressure to change those filters or wiper blades (or timing belt) if you don't want to. No frills means low overhead; gravel lots with a few cars like the windows-down 2-door Mercedes parked means you're not paying for all the marketing. It's just car-fixing like it should be. Last time I went in thinking I needed a complete wiper reservoir replacement. Nope, just a wiper fluid hose for pretty cheap. We'll keep coming back since cars don't fix themselves. Currently I'm not at all fretting about our teenager's car we just had towed in after stalling in an intersection. How bad could it be? And of course I'll continue wondering how much he'd charge to get that old Mercedes in his lot back on the road. We TRUST these people, they have done many things for us with fair pricing and quality results. They are the only ones we allow to change our oil too.
