    Unique cream cheese flavors
    Nicole H.

I've been here twice now & have been satisfied both times. My go to after work (night shift) comfort meal (especially when it's a rough shift) is always a bagel. This place is so close to Michigan medicine & I definitely feel like it deserves more attention!!!! Their bagels are fluffy & fresh. Their cream cheese flavors are like nothing I've seen before in Michigan. Please go here before you go to any chain bagel shop. Today I tried the chive cream cheese on a poppy seed bagel & it was a phenomenal combo. Last time I tried the dill garlic (my 2 fav seasonings) and it was so unique but the garlic was stronger than I was expecting. For later I got a salt bagel w/ a small side of bacon shallot cream cheese & also a small side of artichoke parm cream cheese. I am so excited to try these new flavors. The prices are extremely reasonable. A bagel toasted with extra cream cheese, a bagel as is, and 2 medium sides of cream cheese was less than $15.

MD Bagel Fragel... Your destination for the "fragel" which tastes pretty much as you would expect a fried bagel coated in sugar to taste: Dense and sweet. For me, the fragel is not a reason to visit... It's the veggie cream cheese. Seriously! It's the BEST! I love the chunks of fresh veggies. The bagels are good (not the best, but still very good). The cheddar jalapeño is a new recent favorite of mine. I am not crazy about their egg sandwiches. I keep trying them sporadically , but for some reason, they always seem really oddly dry to me. Their (new) location is super convenient for a quick stop with lots of parking. There is no seating. It's a quick pick-up shop. So, come and enjoy for the veggie cream cheese!

Pretty good bagels. I like the asiago one the best. Tried some of their breakfast sandwiches few times which were pretty good. The fragel was kind of too dense for me. I recently tried the chicken pesto which was not good at all - the chicken was a thick piece of flavorful chicken with microwaved melted cheese on top.

My "fragel" journey started about a year ago when I was looking for foods unique to Ann Arbor and learned of the fragel--a fried, sugared, cinnamon raisin bagel. I originally went to MD Bagel Fragel that time, but unfortunately I stopped by too late and they were already closed for the day. This year, I planned my arrival a bit earlier and was finally able to land a fragel. At 3 for $5 (tax included), it was plenty good value for what's essentially a food item that's got the exterior of a donut but the soul of a bagel. I was delighted to see that they were freshly fried and made, and I highly suggest eating it ASAP as it will get hardened over the day and become less delicious. If it does get hardened, I found that microwaving it for a bit less than a minute can help soften the bagel again. The fragel itself is definitely an interesting experience -- tasty for sure -- and a New Yorker (a group famously finicky for their bagel taste) gave an upstanding recommendation that "you know, that's actually not bad".

I follow the Twitter handle DamnArbor & they tweeted about distinct Ann Arbor foods & said all that they could think of was the Fragel. That singular tweet sent me down a google search vortex and I was sad to learn that they closed about a year ago. Then, this past week - a headline emerged that MD Bagel Fragel was reopening at a new location. I knew I HAD to go and check out this Fried Bagel (Fragel) for myself! What is a Fragel you ask? "It's raisin packed dough: deep fried and covered in cinnamon sugar." So, basically it's kind of like a donut meets a cinnamon raisin bagel. This is also the ONLY way you'd ever be able to con me into eating a raisin donut haha. It was chewy, sugary, and delicious. I didn't even mind the raisins! I don't know if this is typically consumed with cream cheese or not as the woman working didn't ask and I didn't feel like it needed any extra pizzazz. It's a small shop with no seating. At one point, the line was out the door! Although they have 23 different daily varieties, they don't have my favorite -- the egg bagel. But, when in A2, a Fragel is definitely worth a try!

Woke up craving a bagel this morning in the middle of the midwest -- scary for an east coaster but the bagels here def don't disappoint. I've been once before for a fragel (yummy bagel donut), so today I got one of their bagels instead. The service was quick, fast, and friendly. Would 100% recommend, a great local business!

I've been going to bagel fragel for over 20 years now. Since elementary school! We had bagel sales every Friday at my school and it has always been very dear to my whole family and all of my friends. Even after all these years, the friendly service and staff has remained constant and the perfection of the fragels and all the other bagels they carry have too. Cant say enough about this place. I am so glad they were able to stay open and moved to their washtenaw road location.

Super friendly, easy parking, quick service. Ideal for picking up a breakfast sandwich or something for lunch. I had egg and cheese on a jalapeño bagel and ordered a fragel to try as well. Needed to taste what all the hype has been about. Conclusion: the fragel is delicious. I don't recommend eating it in the car since the sugary coating does have a tendency to go everywhere, but in all honesty, it's worth the mess. I ate part of it immediately since it was hot and fresh. The other part, I tasted several hours later and while it was still tasty, I'd definitely recommend eating it while it's still hot and soft. The bagel sandwich was filling and probably one of the tastiest breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The bagel was soft and had just the right amount of flavor and spice to it. The egg and cheese was freshly made and really just the right size and amount for the bagel. On top of it, the woman working was lovely!! Will be back for sure.

I came in ordered right away and had to wait about ten minutes while there was still a small line waiting for their order. If I had to come back, I recommend putting an app or online order and giving yourself at least 15 minutes for pick up. This place was moderately busy and had to wait quite a bit. The layout is a bit awkward they only have window seating which is another reason I would just pick up your order and go, not a lot of room to eat inside. Also as soon as you walk in you hit the pick up window and have to make your way through a bunch of people before getting to the ordering line. Being from NY, I had to try their Reuben called a Rick's Reuben on a Black Russian bagel which is like a rye pumpernickel bagel. The bagel was solid the sandwich is just ok for 13-14 dollars only put in one slice of corn beef, the maize n blue deli across the street offers better sandwiches at a better value. I would come back for their bagel and cream cheeses, but avoid ordering in house and pass on their deli sandwiches

There's plenty of parking but it does get quite busy on Saturday morning/noon. The place is pretty narrow and small. The offerings are nice but there were not many flaky pastries. Yoon's was bread and bun heavy and their prices overall were higher (if you can believe it!). I did try this Cloud cake $6.50 that was out of this world good but the strawberry jam part was too sweet. The hazelnut cream sandwich loaf (3 small servings) was so beans good with my favorite type of cream that only Asian bakeries can get right! My only complaint is more cream, please!

I saw an ad for a Grain Latte (mi-su-ga-ru) and was so curious how it would taste. I haven't noticed it anywhere else (other Korean bakeries), so had to make a trip just for the drink, along with their other goodies. Omg, from the first sip, I was transported back to my childhood. I used to drink the multigrain drink that would come in powder form. But this drink was elevated by the espresso. What a perfect combo! Now this latte isn't sweet, so if you are looking for sweet, this won't be the drink for you. I had my hubs try it out and said he could taste espresso with an aftertaste of the grains- not something he would order, himself. But I'm definitely going to! He ordered the pistachio latte and I could tell it's very different from other ps's I've had from Monday Coffee Club or from Yemeni coffee houses. It definitely has that light, Korean, nutty taste that isn't strong. The baked goodie, I'm happy to say, has expanded and they offer so much more than they did since my last review. They've added a few nice tables and chairs, so you don't have to leave to enjoy your pastries or coffee, unless there's no spots. Highly recommend Y if you enjoy desserts that's not too sweet.
