I'm very, VERY disappointed and upset with the results of taking my car to this auto body shop. Initially I took my car there to fix the front and the side. I had gotten into a minor fender bender which damaged the front and then later backed along side a pole and damaged the side, all cosmetic stuff. One the incidents I reported to insurance, the other I didn't. Like I mentioned it was just cosmetic stuff that needed to be fixed yet when I got the estimate, they said way more stuff needed to be fixed than I thought but I just went along with it because I'd used them before and everything had gone ok. Also, it seemed very strange that they said it was you going to take over a week to fix when like I've said it was just cosmetic stuff because no lights ever went off in car indicating anything was wrong, but I just went along with everything because I assumed they were being honest and I don't know a whole lot about cars myself. So I got a rental and they fixed my car. When it was ready they called and said I could pick it up which I believe was on a Friday but then they called back and said they needed to fix something else and it wasn't ready yet. So Monday came along and they called and said my car was ready however I had to work the next two days and wasn't able to pick it up until Wednesday. You'd think that they would just say ok, see you Wednesday since really they're the ones that delayed me picking up the car in the first place but instead they insisted and told me I HAD TO pick up the car Monday. I told them that there was no way I could do that and again they insisted that I had to so I had to have my boyfriend go and pick up the car and I had to wait till Wednesday to drop off the rental which they assured me they would pay for the extra days. However when I went and dropped off the rental, Enterprise had received no call from them stating that they were going to pay for the extra days, so I explained to them the whole situation and they felt bad and so they comped me the two days. Not only that the day after my boyfriend Picked up the car from the shop I was walking around the passenger side by the mirror which they were supposed to have fixed and noticed a giant crack and scratch still on the back of the mirror. I called them actually I even went down there and showed them and they said oh we only fixed part of it if you want the scratch and crack fixed you're gonna have to pay for it. I think that's absolutely ridiculous. If you tell somebody you're gonna fix something you fix the entire thing not part of it and I don't see why I should have to pay for it. I think that's terrible customer service. I think they overcharged me and I think they fix things that did not need to be fixed just so they could charge me more. When my boyfriend went to pick up the car they told him only the bunper and mirror had been fixed but then when we looked at the bill every sensor in front of the car had been changed out. I believe if it's not fraud they're at least changing out their old inventory so they can get new stuff. I would not recommend this place at all and if I ever need my car fixed again, I will never ever go there. Also, at one point when I was trying to get a hold of them, their phone wasn't working And kept looping me back to the same message so I literally had to go down there in person just to ask Them something. So ridiculous and unprofessional. Oh and lastly they didn't put one of the emblems from the car back on. Baaaaaad service!!!!! DO NOT USE GERBER COLLISION IN KAKAAKO!!!!!! read more

They will NOT work on your car if it's already had a damage estimate and been looked at with another body shop - so don't even bother with appointment. Very minor fender bender - bumper and headlight needs replaced. Told me that because the at fault drivers insurance sent my car to another body shop for their estimate and I said that I *thought* they had removed bumper to see hidden damage. Gerber stated that I HAD to use that body shop - specially that I am "not allowed" to go to another body shop, even though I'm paying cash myself. They refused to even look at car for estimate and immediately cancelled my appointment. Other guys Insurance company gave me full payout since their estimate was more than the other guys policy limit. That means - I'm paying cash so not sure why a Tesla approved shop won't touch the car because another shop already looked at it. That's wild because they weren't even going to be working with insurance. (Btw I called other body shop again and they actually did not remove the bumper to look for hidden damage after all). ‍ I was just trying to find recommended body shop for my Tesla since I'm paying for repairs myself. After I was involved in an accident it took nearly 8.5 months for Gerber collision (Kaneohe) to complete the work. Initially parts being on order was an issue, but over 160 days my truck sat at their shop with parts and paint on hand. All to be given back to me with extensive damage caused by them during the repair process, as well as all of the original repair areas not completed. My truck went back in for corrections when they told me they damaged my headliner and would not be able to replace the part themselves. They then offered to pay me for the part and repair once I provided a repair order detailing the cost. Once provided, Gerber has ceased all communication with me, has not replied to emails, phone calls, or voicemails and payment has not been received. Insurance will not get involved due to the damage being caused by Gerber, and not from the initial accident. Years ago under different ownership (sigs) they were trustworthy and took pride in their work. Now.... Not so much. I gave them countless chances to make things right, and tried to show some aloha before I made this review. But enough is enough. read more

Road debris damaged a door and I had it replaced. Workmanship on door was excellent. Price covered by insurance and my deductible, looked legitimate. My reluctance to fully recommend this repair company is based on communication and car problem encountered totally removed from repair work. Initial estimate was provided as 4 days. Their automated updating texting system extended that to 8. When I questioned it, I was told it was automated to say 8 days on initial text update and to ignore it. When car was not ready in 4 days and I inquired again, I was told the 4 days was the insurance company's estimate and the insurance company never includes the painting time required. Following week car was finally done, I inspect the door, open and close, paint job was great, get the keys, drive away. Drive 10-15 minutes and every system notification of vehicle flashed on my dash! Knowing from prior experience, if battery is disconnected, resets are necessary. However, nothing worked in this case to resolve problem with systems notifications. Called the shop, took it back in. The boss came out, said they don't know what's wrong and their scan guy to determine problem wasn't available till 3 hours later. Offered a rental at their cost, waited for 30 minutes to be told it's another 30 min wait for a small car I can't fit in to drive with my visible hand in a brace. I cancelled the car and had my wife come pick me up. I was told later that day by phone that the battery had been drained below 12 Volts which caused the notifications. I do not know a lot about cars but from little I do know changing out a car door should have little or no effect on the battery. Especially since I got my safety inspection about 3 weeks earlier with no mention of a battery issue. Car is now working but I am keeping close eye on monitors and will have dealership check system carefully next time in for routine maintenance. read more

I took my truck in for a passenger front and rear door repair. The first time I took it in they took a month and a half. When I got it back the paint job had drips, haze, and there was overspray on my rearview mirrors. The side step they replaced was also damaged. The area where they removed the bolts from the hinge was scratched during the removal. The front passenger door did not align flush. The second time was 2 weeks later and I had to call them to remind them about my truck. I brought it in took a little over a week and the paint job still was hazy and they said they just need to buff it but I had to bring it back. The door still was not aligned, the rear passenger door lock did not work, and the side step was still damaged. I scheduled an appointment to change my side step and fix the door alignment the following week and when I got there they told me they didn't schedule for the door I had to come back the technician was off that day. I waited another 2 weeks had to call them again to follow up and only then did they schedule me for the following week and said it would only take a couple hours. When I dropped my truck off they said it would take all day. So I planned accordingly. They couldn't offer a car or a ride. They called me in an hour and said it was ready. When I got there my door was still not flush and now the handle is hard to pull open. I spoke to the general manager, Tim Chang, and he said "that is the best we can do you can take it somewhere else and your insurance can pay for it." I wasted countless hours going back and forth to the shop and calling to follow up over the course of five months. It's disappointing that after all of that Tim Chang says that's the best they can do. read more

Worked with James to fix the bumper on our Chevy Silverado. They estimated 3 days turn around but to our surprise they ended up calling to let us know our truck was complete within 7 hours after dropping off our truck. It was such an easy process & the office staff are also friendly! Dropped our truck off at 8:30, James did a walk around, explained what would happen and allowed us to wait in the AC office for enterprise to drop off the rental car. Enterprise was called as soon as I arrived. Pick up was super smooth as well. Upon arrival our truck was being washed. Would totally recommend Gerber to our friends and Family! So far so good! Easy intake process and very good at communicating. I dropped my car off today, and was called immediately to be made aware that my vehicle had to the wapio location. I dropped my car off on the 16th and as of today 24 Jan snow ball is home! I was updated regularly and my car looks like new! I can't explain how helpful and regularly informed they kept me! It was awesome! It took less than ten days to fix my Beamer! I know that BMW can be kind of intimidating but no issues! I'm super happy with the job they did! Also the text messages were very helpful too! My car was actually transported from the location here in Kaneohe to the Waipahu location I actually offered them to come get the car because I wanted it back so bad the owner insisted on having a car transport it back here to Kaneohe. I made an appointment online and showed up only to be informed that there was a $75 "estimate" fee. I'm assuming that they take off $75 if you use them for the repairs, and if you don't use them, you lose the money. I have never had as smooth of an experience when getting any repair work from any body shop before as we had with Sigs! They worked well with me over the phone and text messaging. I was referred to Sigs by the local Jeep dealer when my car was damaged during transport to the island. Heather was extremely kind and helpful from the moment I called the shop. When I explained how I was having difficulty capturing the damage to my vehicle in photos, she had me come in for a consult. She and Breanna, the manager, were detail oriented, explained what they were finding and how it should be addressed, and had a comprehensive estimate to me quickly. They made a very stressful situation much more manageable with their professionalism, thorough inspection, keen eye for detail, and timely follow up. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I am pretty shocked that the ratings for this establishment are high. I had been involved in a car accident that ruined the left side of my truck. I needed to find something in Kaneohe for convenience. After the initial inspection, they estimated about 2 weeks for the repairs. And I totally understand that an estimate is an estimate. They ended up finding more things once they took the truck apart which meant a longer repair time. Totally fine, I had an awesome rental. What upset me was once the repair was done, they told me to come and pick the truck up at 4pm. They needed to do a final inspection, and clean the car. Upon arrival, my wheel was missing the center cap, and there was a white substance left behind on my car. If they were doing a final inspection and cleaning, how could they miss this? Then I noticed the part of the fender where two pieces met (sorry for my lack of knowledge with car part terms), there was a huge gap. The fender was not placed properly and it was very noticeable. So I called Gerber, brought it to their attention, and their manager asked me to bring the truck back in so they could take a look. I did. They said it was an easy fix and gave the excuse that the technician that worked on my car is no longer with the company. Not my problem. You still gave my car back and it was not repaired well. Anyways, they needed to order a few more parts to fix this problem. They said they'd call back within the week and that the repair would take no longer than a day. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Find a better auto body repair shop! Thank me later. read more

I have worked with Gerber in the past when they were under a different name which escapes me. I unfortunately was involved in a multi vehicle accident in my husband's car at the time and my husband was out of town for several months, leaving me to coordinate repairs. The staff was so helpful and were able to schedule my repairs quickly. I recently was rear-ended (just my luck!) and the other driver was at fault and would pay for my damages. Because I had such a good experience with Gerber in the past, I contacted them for an estimate. They were very fast about scheduling my estimate and were transparent about possible limitations like whether parts would be available since I own a German car. However, they were able to give me a reasonable appointment for my repairs. When I dropped my car off, the rep who assisted me was great about explaining the process to me and offered text updates to inform me of my car's status. I'm so impressed and recommend Gerber without hesitation! read more

This was the second time we had repairs done at Sigs and we were very pleased with their service that's why when we needed them again we didn't hesitate to choose their help. The second time they told us it was going to be done in five days but they did it in 4 which we were quite pleased with, they also washed our car inside and out and took us to do a full check of the car to make sure we were satisfied with their work which we were. They also called us a week later to tell us that we were over charged $400 for the deductible and was reimbursing us. I would refer them to family and friends any day! read more

Almost 5 Stars I took my car to Sigs in Kaneohe to repair damage to the rear of my car while stupidly backing up into an elevated concrete level. The damage didn't look too bad and required the mid portion of the SUV tailgate below the window to be replaced. The estimate was a little over $2K as replacement parts are ridiculously priced by the dealer plus the added markup and labor costs from the repair shop. The following is a summary of my car repair episode at Sigs Collision Windward: Pros: - Promptly contacted by Sigs after filling in my accident report with the insurance company online. Like I mean really prompt... they called within 15 minutes to make arrangements for an estimate. - Unbeatable updates from Sigs with text messages and phone calls to keep you abreast of what's going on with the repair. - Repairs are done promptly, and they immediately address repair errors - Staff is friendly after they acknowledge your presence - Final repair seems to be done satisfactorily Cons: - I was not acknowledged for at least 5 minutes after entering their office on my first visit. I stood by the front desk and the staff walked by and or talked amongst themselves.... it was like I was invisible to them. This was so contrasting to the high level of Aloha that I received from them once I was acknowledged. Maybe a simple, "Hi, I'll be with you in a minute" would have been nice. - Sigs made a mistake installing the incorrect color replacement panel and didn't catch it until I brought it to their attention when I came to pick up my car. Lexus apparently sent them the incorrect white color. Recommend that Sigs check for accuracy upon receiving parts, and do a thorough quality control assessment prior to calling the customer to pick up their car. Sigs did take immediate action to remedy this shortcoming; the correct color panel was received and installed promptly on the following day. Overall Sigs Windward is a reputable repair shop and I will patronize them for future business. read more

So far, the repair seems to be okay but it took them 14-15 business days to complete the repair to the right rear fender of my wife's 2014 Mercedes Benz E350. According to my insurance company, USAA, the estimated time to repair is 4 business days. I contacted USAA and told them that THIS particular Gerber-owned and operated shop was subpar. My so had his car repaired at another Gerber-owned shop on Oahu and they only took about 4 business days. It was actually more damaged than my car. read more

This will be my very first negative review and I'm very disappointed to say that I had the exact opposite experience. I scheduled an appointment with Sigs on a Friday. They asked me to bring in my original estimate and that they wanted to take their own pictures and assess the damage. I also asked if they could also repair/order a panel for my side mirror. Jennifer went over the costs of having it ordered painted versus not painted and having it painted by the shop. I told her either way, I would like to have it done so that the mirror isn't exposed. I signed my paperwork and scheduled to drop the car off first thing Monday morning. Upon drop off, everything went smoothly. I got an estimated expected date that the car would be completed. I asked if there's anything I need to do or pay for and was told that they'd collect my payment upon pickup of the vehicle. Since then, I received 4 courtesy follow up calls to which they pushed my pick up date back each time. By the 4th call I was upset and frustrated and asked them to just call when it's done rather then having to continue to change my plans every time. I'm the end, it was pushed back 5 times. Finally.... almost 3 weeks later (yes, I picked it up Thursday before closing and by Monday, they would've had my car for 3 weeks) I was excited to have this ordeal done with. When I picked up the car I noticed that my mirror panel was bare so I asked if they haven't gotten the part in yet? Heather told me she'd check on it in the office and let me know. Heather stated that usually when customers want to do additional work not covered by the insurance, they collect money up front. I said, that's fine but no one had mentioned that to me at all so how was I to know. That's when Jennifer came into the conversation saying that she usually "always tells her customers that they should remind her of these things when they drop off the car." Mind you, I can tell you vividly every detail of who was in the office the day of my estimate. There was a man and the baby who had their estimate done before me, the manager was sitting on a stool next to Jennifer having a hard time breathing and then went to the ER or urgent care on the day of my estimate/walkthrough.... however, I can assure you, I was never told ONCE that i had to remind her. I told Jennifer that wasn't the case for me because I was never told such thing. And she repeated once again that she always tells her customers to remind her at drop off and about her policy to do so. From there I said, isn't it the professional thing to do when your going over an estimate and having a 1:1 conversation about fixing someone's car that you would've wrote a note saying, "customer wants to order side panel for mirror", somewhere?!? It isn't my job to know that I need to remind you to do yours. And that's when she said that "her policy" is to have customers sign a paper when they are requesting and ordering additional services outside of the insurance coverage and since I didn't sign a paper, I must've not have made up my mind. From there I was flabbergasted. I responded by saying, I didn't sign any paper because none was given to me but regarding me "not making up my mind", Jennifer was supposed to be looking to see if we could get the painted panel in so that it would be cheaper but if not we would just pay for them to paint the part. It just keeps getting worst. She then went on to give me a "sincere apology" as the manager said to me later by saying, "IF I forgot to tell you to remind me when you dropped off the car then that was my mistake and I apologize." The manager walked into the conversation and introduced himself and explained how he had overheard the entire conversation and that Jennifer had said she was sorry how many times and I seem to not be accepting of it, so what is it that I'm looking for. I begged to differ however he stated that all three of them heard it so.... I guess it's okay for them to talk to their customers that way. To top it off, when I got home I looked over the car and my rear bumper panel isn't flushed with the car as well as the trunk. Ill post my pictures later today for you to make your own judgement. Sad part is, I am NOT going back to the shop to have it fixed after that. I'm taking my grievances to my insurance company who has them listed as a "preferred" repair shop. I hope that other people don't experience the same type of service. I'm extremely disappointed to say the least. read more

Sig's was one of the approved shops for USAA and for good reason. Their front office did a fantastic job of communicating with me on the repair of my 2016 VW. They updated me via text and called halfway through to let me know my vehicle would be done a couple days early. It looks like new and I would not hesitate to recommend Sig's to anyone. Plus Enterprise Car Rental is a block away for an easy drop-off. Jennifer and Steve are superb customer service reps. read more

So pleased with my experience at this Sigs location. Staff is great. I was updated about my vehicle on a regular basis. I had an issue with my vehicle after picking it up (not related to the work they did) and I called to let them know. They told me to bring it in later that day so they could take a look at it. I was told that they did inform my insurance company about the issue but my insurance company said it wasn't accident related, so they wouldn't cover the costs of repair. They put my car on the platform and did a quick fix on it for me anyway! Definitely recommend this shop. 10/10 for customer service! read more

Worked with Steve and Samantha at Sigs to repair damage to my vehicle. This collision center has a very professional and competent staff. They communicate effectively via the telephone and handle all the insurance paperwork and car rental agreements, making the car repair process as least disruptive to your life as possible. The dent repair and paint job along the entire side of my vehicle was outstanding. That side of my car looks new. Plus, my car was detailed at the end of repair. They did an amazing job getting the sand out of my car! None of this was surprising considering how well maintained this shop is. You don't have to worry about your car being parked on the street while undergoing repair and the overall condition of their workspace is great. USAA members, there are 2 USAA approved shops on the windward side--go to this one. I backed into a yellow post on a dark night which left a deep vertical gash on my right bumper. Sigs is a preferred repair shop with my insurance and they did a wonderful job. My car looks like new! I was not impressed with Gerber. I waited three weeks for them to order parts and schedule repair start for July 19th. They had my car for almost 2 months 2 weeks later they called and told me they had to order a door. That took till August 19th to get the additional parts. They gave me a new completion date of September 10th. My insurance told me they were on tract for September 10th. They called me at 12:00 noon and told me car would be ready at 4:30pm. When I got there the car was filthy and that I had to wait an hour they had just put in rear window and they couldn't wash the car for 30 minute. They washed the car at 5:20. I left after settling at 5:45. I couldn't use Ac and drove with window down because my car was still filthy dust everywhere couldn't see out of window had to pull over to clean window. Keep windows down all the way home because of dust in car. They didn't have the decency to call and delay a day and give me the car cleaned properly and safely for me. There GM is a nice person but not good at her job. I listen to there ads on the radio and find them not to be true in my case. I was really disappointed with Gerber. read more
