I don't understand for the life of me, how this place has 5 star rating! I will say it is quite unsuspecting... from the outside it doesn't look like much, but it's much nicer on the inside, That being said, for a place that claims amazing bbq, I ordered brisket and I must say... it was the worst I've I ever had ! It was so dry it almost qualified as beef jerky. My wife's meat of choice was also very dry. The Greek salads and such were fine-maybe they need to stick to that lane. This place looks sketchy from the outside, but the inside is very nice and new and well done decor. The nicest people EVER because they were so friendly, and kindly explained the process of ordering. You pick your meat and how much and there were menus we just didn't see them. They gave us a sample of their lamb to help us decide. It was so good. I am not a huge fan of barbeque or smoked meats but it was tender and delicious, but a little dry. The brisket was moist and tender and divine. The sides were flavorful and the salad tasted fresh. The cheesecake with pistachios was very good too. Overall, I will be back, and I gave them 4 stars because the lamb was dry and to order was slightly confusing (no menus readily available, no clear signage as to where to start ordering). read more

I love BBQ and i knew this would be a different kind of twist on it. The restaurant is in a strip mall but once you are inside it feels quite nice. The booths and tables seem new (it's only been open 7 months) and were clean when we arrived. I had the 1/2 lb of beef rib and it was just perfect at $20. I had black cherry chipotle sprinkled on and I think I would skip it next time because the meat was cooked perfectly as it was. The $20 includes sauces, a side and a salad. I chose sweet potato fries that were delicious and their bread made to order in the oven. We were not super excited about the brisket because we got the point and it was more fatty than we like. But the flavor was good and it was very tender. They have a lot of salads and sides you don't find in traditional BBQ places. Definitely check it out when you are close. read more

Man was I excited to try this spot. I first found this new restaurant from an Instagram video that someone posted and made the effort to make my way over. The genius idea of Egyptian bbq/smoking is something I had to try for myself. I'll make the disclaimer I'm not an Egyptian food expert. I LOVED this place, from top to bottom they impressed. They greet you when you come in, menu was a bit confusing but all you have to do is pick the premium meats and that's about it. They take their time to make sure your food is prepared properly and up to your liking. Pick a meat, add your own seasonings, add honey and the sides. Extremely impressive experience. I ordered the beef shank and it was incredible. Only thing that was a bit weak were the drink selection, I expected a bit more options and some Egyptian drink options other than just coke and sprite. Friends told me about MeatVille Smoking Kitchen in Antioch. Seeing as I was in the area decided to stop in. Now this place isn't your normal southern or Texas "BBQ" spot, but they do have a good variety of smoked meats. This is more of a Middle Eastern style, and it is pretty darn good. I met Miriam by the cutting board and with the glass so high it's difficult to hear, so she came out to me and gave me an overview of the process. Her sister Margaret helped me with the sauces and rice and house salad. They will share some samples, I tried the brisket with seasonings and it was good. First you select a meat or a few meats if you're that hungry or sharing, seasonings, sauces, and a couple of sides...pretty simple and Miriam and Margaret were very helpful. I went with the Lamb Leg, yellow rice, and salad and for sauces I opted for Tahini and the Fresh Green Herbs. The lamb is extremely tender, and the bone slid out with zero resistance. It was very good but when Arcenous (sp) stopped by to inquire about the food, he asked me why no honey??? So, he gets me a side of honey and I must say...lamb dipped in honey is INCREDIBLE! Both sides were delicious and simple with nice flavors. When I was checking out, Miriam asked if I had the Egyptian or yellow rice (I had the yellow)? She gave me a sample of the Egyptian rice...absolutely delicious and will be on my plate the next time I visit. I live nearby and spotted this new place. I had to check it out! Upon entering, you'll find a long table with all the paper menus (I just realized I forgot to grab one on my way out). I decided to go for a Kofta sandwich. I also ordered some grape leaves. The staff member was super friendly and explained everything to me. He mentioned that my sandwich would take 10-15 minutes, which I had no problem with. Just a heads up, the drinks are all bottled. The decor is really nicely done, and they have a wide open space with some large tables to accommodate larger parties. The food came out super quickly. And the food was delicious! I think it's probably the best grape leaves I've ever had. The staff was really friendly and the atmosphere was great. I'll definitely make this a regular stop of mine. It's very, " in with the times," when it comes to dining in. You order at the counter when you first walk in and get to view the presentation being laid out between glass. You will have to speak up when ordering since the glass wall kind of blocks what what you're saying. Just like most assembly lines, walk your way down to choose sides then pay, seat yourself. I ordered two meals the beef bowl with yellow rice and comes with one side. I got the roasted potatoes which were really good. Be prepared to choose what seasoning you would like on your meats which are displayed in front in wooden bowls clearly labeled. My second dish I ordered the lamb sandwich with everyting on it and the house salad. Their house salad is basically like tabbouleh salad. You can substitute with any sides listed. Today was Mother's Day so line was packed plus I think this place opened a month ago. Not sure but will be back to try other dishes. They do cater full family style meals to take home for parties. The beef from what I saw is huge and you get plenty of food and sides for your money. The sandwich and bowl was $14.99 plus tax. With today's prices I'm ok with paying with the given prices because I feel like I got a home cooked meal and the slow cooked meat fall off the bone is worth the wait. Tried the beef shank and friend had the beef rib. Both were falling off the bone which was good but really underseasoned and undersalted even with the seasoning choices. It just tasted bland. The beef rib bone probably weighed out more than the meat and he had to eat around the giant glob of a fat cap on it. The salt shakers on the table didn't work and one of them was glued shut for some reason? Arugula salad was fine, and the potatoes were also fine but needed a little bit of salt. Tahini sauce was really watery. Meals were also supposed to come with two sauces but they just handed us one. We got drinks but they didn't tell us to get it from the back or anything until we asked. The place was not too hard to find located on a strip mall as I Google search it. First thing I noticed going in was the aromatic atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant. It was my first experience at an Egyptian restaurant so I was delighted that it was gonna be a different experience that I enjoyed. As you come to the picking out your choice of meat, which was my favorite part of this experience I was guided to like an assembly line of choices of seasonings and spices. This was a hard choice since there were so many different types of seasonings for your choice of favorite meat. I picked the beef rib and my husband ordered brisket. Both were good. We tried each other's meat, and we both liked the beef ribs the best! You also got the two sides and bread. I didn't care for the roasted potatoes, I might try the other sides next time I come back. Stop what you're doing and drive to Meatville immediately. It is absolutely DELICIOUS! The lamb ribs are a top 3 dish in all of Nashville. They are unctuous and packed with umami. We added a few of the dry seasonings and honey. Just stop it! I'm craving them right now. The beef ribs were also great. You get 4 sides and 4 sauces per 1 lb of meat as well. The roasted potatoes were nicely seasoned with oregano. The green beans were delicious but not salty. Even the mashed potatoes and rice were amazing. It was all really freakin delicious. Saw the sign for this place for a few months now and was curious to try out the new bbq place. First thing that threw me off was the extensive Greek Mediterranean menu. Thought this was a bbq joint not a Greek place but i said hey, why not give it a shot, how bad can it be? Very. Very bad. Meat was fatty and rubbery, ordered a pot of tea and they gave me a single 8oz cup with 4 tea bags brewed into it! Got half my order right and totally messed up the other half. They forgot my girlfriend's drink and side order and it wasn't good. She got the lamb and didn't finish it. There's much better Greek places in the area that don't try to deceive you by saying it's a bbq place when it's just a mediocre at best Greek place. There's definitely way better bbq in the area prepared by actual chefs. Will be avoiding this place at all costs and to top it off two meals with appetizers was almost $100.
