    Soggy Fattoush Salad

Taking off a star due to the new people (guy and a girl) working the counter here. You can tell neither of them care. Very nonchalant and dismissive and definitely showed me that they are not going out of their way to accommodate. The owners who usually work there are so kind and attentive. These two new workers were both completely not accommodating. I will not come back here if I have this experience again bc I usually spend about $50 on my meal just for me so I expect mindful customer service. My salad was soggy since they put it in the bag with hot food and fries undercooked . This is the 2nd time I've had to throw a soggy salad away from here.

OMGeeee! Mediterranean Bistro is a true neighborhood gem that feels like coming home the moment you walk in. The hot and cold appetizers are delicious, fresh, and wonderfully authentic, while the dishes throughout the menu are an exquisite combination of Lebanese and Armenian styles, blending bold flavors with comforting tradition. The entrées are equally impressive, expertly prepared and deeply satisfying. To finish, the old-school coffee and dessert add the perfect nostalgic touch. Combined with fantastic customer service that makes every guest feel welcome, this is the kind of place you look forward to returning to again and again. Can't wait to go back. Yalla ... 'till next time.

We ordered and were not disappointed with the timing and food presentation. The food was delicious!! There wasn't a single piece left. Great portions. The food is delicious. I love that we live so close by. We visit the bistro at least once a week. The filet is a must order.

Then he turned to the other 3 at our table and asked if we would like him to prepare a special meal for us to enable us to share plates and experience a variety of meats and sides. We ended up with an amazing spread of meats, stews, several rice dishes, salad and vegetables and took home enough food for at least 3 meals. And the special dinner for our friend on the restricted diet was indeed delicious and truly a feast. Our total bill including wine and tax and tip came to about $40 pp. Given the quality and abundance of food and the amazing service, this was a very reasonable price. Even though it was early, I noticed a ton of pickup orders coming through--always a good sign that locals love the food. I ordered the chicken and beef koobideh and really enjoyed it. The chicken was dark meat (which the server kindly asked about--great service there!), and it was juicy and flavorful. My husband got the trout fish meal, but he was a bit surprised--he expected a fillet and got it with skin and bones instead. Just something to note if you're not into that. The only thing that caught us off guard was the eggplant borani. When the server said it "comes with bread," we assumed it was complimentary, but it turned out to be a charged appetizer. That was on us for not clarifying, but a heads-up would have been helpful. Overall, solid food and service--just watch out for the add-ons!

We were attending an event at the bookstore next store so it was a no-brainer to give Pi on Sunset…read morea try. Mediterranean food is pretty consistent (ie the same) for my tastes wherever I get it so I was pleasantly surprised by a few elements of Pi. The pies, for example...I tried the Zaatar pie...honestly it was not much more then a thick, airy, freshly made pita with Zataar and olive oil on it...but it's sometimes the simplest things which delight. The Zaatar pie delighted. I tried the Lebanese red wine (I mean, when in a Lebanese restaurant, why not?) And it stood up to any red I'd had anywhere else. The Tabouleh (one of my Mediterranean standards) was fresh made, filling, and a nice companion to the heavier Zaatar pie. It was awfully nice, and unexpected, to get complimentary baklava at the end of the meal...2 generous sized pieces which were pretty indulgent and eliminated the need to get (and pay for) dessert there or anywhere else. Service was lovely...the manager or owner took care of us and made us feel he was truly grateful that we were there. It's also a hookah spot...so if you're not into that vibe or smoke of any kind, (I'm not really) you'll definitely smell that anywhere you are in the restaurant, even if you're not seated next to those using hookahs. If you've got a hankering for Mediterranean...especially a place that has some unique things not at other Mediterranean spots, definitely give Pi on Sunset a shot.

The fries were even worse, they tasted stale, like they were at least a day or two old, and had that chewy, reheated texture instead of being crispy. Yesterday around 3pm, as I was in the area, saw this Falafel Palace and decided to pull into their big parking lot which is shared with other businesses. Their restrooms were also very clean. Walked in and was greeted by a very friendly employee. He was pleasant and gave me a rundown of their menu. They have a vast menu from bowls, to plates, to pita wraps, salads, many different types of sauces, vegan and gluten free options too. Just to name a few. Desserts, such as Baklava and variety of cookies. I did end up getting one Baklava and it was moist, fresh and delicious. Prices are super affordable for their portions. 10/10! I went with beef and chicken skewers, and asked them to put my hummus on the side and not to overcook the meat. I like my beef to be medium-rare to medium. Chicken skewer also had a lot of flavors to it. There were very well prepared and seasoned to perfection. I also got their Greek salad with lots of healthy vegetables. Stayed with water. So I ordered 3 Gyro meals. Lamb, chicken, and beef with the combo meal fries and drink. For the 3 sandwiches with each of them having a side of small fries and small drink I paid $71.29 for the entire order which is crazy in itself but the real crime was the food here, I am surprised how this place is been running business this whole time. First thing you do when you sit in a car? Take a few bites of the fries, and let me tell you that shit got stuck in my throat from how dry and nasty it was absolutely no SALT on any of the sandwiches and or fries... We all know salt makes everything more delicious and we had none of it. Me and 2 of my guests all had complaints on how unsalted and bland the food was. Also with a gyro usually you need a garlic sauce aka white sauce for my New Yorkers, they tried to charge me $5.90 for a SMALL plastic side of garlic sauce for my $20 sandwich. Save your money head over to Pita Pocket or any other gyro spots cuz this ain't it. It's really not hard to get a gyro down. Trader Joes also has a box of gyro meat you can buy make at home and I did once and it was WAYYYY better then this place lol. This place gets 0 stars for charging customers $20+ for a freaking combo meal that doesn't even include a garlic sauce.
