My husband and I came here yesterday right before closing. It was about 8pm. It was our first time here and what an experience. The Chicken pieces in the chicken kabob plate were bigger than I expected and the marinade was good. I personally enjoyed the salad and it's dressing. My husband enjoyed their long grain rice. He says "you can tell a lot about a place by how their rice is." They have the best hummus in town. It's my favorite place to get hummus now. Overall, They made our order quick and we did not have to wait too long. Everything was fresh and tasty. The service was great. The employees were friendly. We will definitely be back soon. Awesome Mediterranean quick service place with friend fast service and great food! I've driven by this place many times on my way to Z-chicken and when I've gone to melt and the dog haus (right next to them) - I only wished I had tried it earlier! Great selection of medz plates, sandwiches and salads. The kebabs were great! The beef lula and the chicken kabob were perfectly marinated and seasoned. I've gotta come back for the chicken now. The hummus was some of the best in the area. Their servings are plentiful and worth the higher price (think higher quality food). Both the salad which had plenty of tomatoes and onions in it was great and their rice was cooked perfectly. Plus the grilled tomato and pepperocinis are a nice touch! Great garlic whip sauce as well. For the past three weeks, I have eaten at this restaurant countless times. I've tried the Boneless Chicken White Meat Platter as well as the Grilled Salmon Platter, and I have to say that my absolute favorite has to be the Grilled Salmon Platter. The salmon was so moist, and it was cooked just right. Let's talk about the delicious garlic sauce that comes with it. I enjoyed it so much that I bought a large side just to keep in my refrigerator. The hummus is also delicious, and the hummus spread is to die for! It's so tasty. The customer service is absolutely the best! I was craving for Mediterranean food and searched in yelp. On a Saturday in August so I was determined to come here for lunch. I was only customer at 11am and loud Persian music playing. I ordered the chicken sharmwa wrap and checked on yelp and got free soda. The owner was nice and took my order and waited like 15-20 for my wrap was done. I couldn't taste the chicken because of delicious garlic sauce was over powering the chicken. The wrap was still delicious and had after taste of garlic sauce in my mouth. My go-to kebab restaurant in Pasadena! Every single item I've tried here is DELICIOUS and the portions are BIG! I was in Pasadena for a concert and was originally going to stop at Dog Haus next door, but I figured I deserved something a little healthier and saw the sign for this Meditteranean place. Hubby and I were not sure what we wanted and were going to order 2 gyro platters, but the guy at the register had recommended the chicken shawarma in addition to the gyro platter so we could have a little more variety. The chicken shawarma was made on the spit. The food was pretty good but I'd have to agree with everyone that the pita was not fresh. The gyro meat is sliced too which is kind of weird... I ordered a Gyro sandwich. There was hardly any meat on it!! Two-three thinly slices of meat. I'm not too sure this place knows what a real gyro looks like. This place is amazing! More and more I am surprised when someone brings customer service back! I just flew in from Oregon and my sister recommended this place. I knew this place was here but never been. I've been to all the other places that are next to them. I ordered the boneless white meat chicken kabob plate. I sat outside and waited for my meal. It comes with basmati rice, salad, grilled tomato, grilled pepper, and pita type bread. They cooked the chicken when you order. WOW, the chicken was very tasty, tender, and moist. YUMMY. Pasadena offers a lot of good, decent Mediterranean food options for lunch. Mediterranean Grill definitely fits that profile. I recently discovered this place while dining next door at Melt. Decided to pay them a visit next day and had a delightful experience. Parking is available in back lot and along Union St. Menu is reasonably priced and offers a lot of healthy, scrumptious choices like gyro, falafel, panini, kabobs, salads and sharwerma. I've been on a chicken shawarma kick lately, so I've been ordering it at Mediterranean places, instead of my usual meat kabobs. Their chicken shawerma platter ($8.95) is excellent here. Chicken is tender and seasoned to perfection. I use the pita bread, onions, pickles and tomatoes that comes with it to make a sandwich. The garlic sauce and hummus make great toppings, flavorful and compliments the food well. The amount of food is more than enough for me. I just wish they offered more pita bread with it, two is surely not enough. Despite the casual atmosphere, it's clean, cozy and staff is friendly. I can't wait to come back. read more

Amazing food and great service! I've been working in Pasadena for almost a year now and I hadn't heard of this place until recently. That's mostly because I work on Lake and this place is just a short drive from there. Regardless, I can confidently say that Mediterranean Grill is SO GOOD and SO WORTH IT! First off, the operators at the restaurant are super friendly. I didn't catch his name but the man working the counter/kitchen was super friendly. He had a bright attitude that really made my day a lot better! And he was friendly to everyone else too, so I know he's just a great guy in general. In terms of food, it was delicious. Honestly, it's comparable to Panini Kabob Grill and Mediterranean Cafe. I got the combo plate with chicken and ground beef and boy was it yummy. The plate was packed with rice, veggies (a whole roasted tomato!), salad and of course, lots of meat. The plate also comes with a whole pita bread too. Update #2: the owner called me to explain what happened. He said they cooked 152 chicken balls but an employee made a mistake and only packed half of it for us. However, although he had our phone number, he did NOT call us the day of our event to let us know that a third of our order had not be delivered. He also delivered a similarly small amount of food the first time we ordered with him -- only we did not catch it that time. He offered to refund us half the money if we would remove this review. We declined to do this. Update: please be careful when using MGrill for catering. We received a lot less food than we thought we had agreed on. As shown in the photos below, our order was for 30 chicken skewers, 38 ground beef skewers, 6 falafel balls, and rice and salad for $431, plenty to feed our 66 students (2 chicken balls + 1 beef per student). We thought each skewer would have 5 chicken balls, like we had received when we bought a combo meal from them. Instead we only received a total of 72 chicken balls, or 2.4 chicken balls per skewer. So we didn't have enough for everyone to eat, and many of our students were hungry afterward. On the positive side, the students enjoyed the food and thought it was delicious. Just if you get a catering order, please be sure to have an explicit agreement on how much meat will be in each skewer -- it may be significantly less than sold in the regular meals. read more

I stumbled upon Mediterranean Grill when we were planning the going away party for my supervisor. They offer catering for large parties and all for a very great price. Ordering over the phone was easy and the staff was patient as I called several times and asked a million questions in preparation for our event. When we arrived the food was ready and they helped to load all the trays into my car. Everyone loved the food so much that we decided to come back for dinner the other night. So happy they added other items to the menu including salmon. They also have happy hour appetizer specials. Our group of six loved the food, tons of flavors, and super large portions!
