Bring binoculars! The hotel's best asset is the (almost) 360-degree view on their rooftop offering. They have no food or beverage service outside of vending machines, but you are welcome to bring food and adult beverages to the roof. There is an awesome grocery store two blocks away. The hotel is old but modernized and our room met all our expectations. The parking garage is a bit cramped but worth paying for since street parking can be complicated. You can walk to Seattle Center, take the Monorail downtown or just be part of a vibrant neighborhood. The staff was excellent, especially when things got backed up at check in. read more

Nice clean rooms with comfortable beds and great access to downtown. We walked to Pikes Place for dinner which was a 1.2 mile walk. (However the D Line in front takes you there if you don't want walk). There were a lot of shops and places to eat and drink along the way. The walk was beautiful because you get a view of the city buildings on one side and the ocean on the other. The convenience of this location and quality of the place was great. Our family came to Seattle in hopes of having a nice relaxing, fun weekend. We've never been, so we were pretty excited! We found this hotel online and saw that it had some pretty awesome reviews. The pictures seemed nice too. Sadly, the hotel, the staff and our experience was not so awesome. First, there's no parking. There's only street parking. Absolutely NOWHERE to park while you check-in. There's 1 parking spot outside the front doors for Uber/taxi drop-offs. It's a pretty busy road so good luck checking in without it being a HUGE hassle! Second, we were told there was free parking in their parking garage. It's NOT free. It's $24 a day. We were so stressed by the time we got to the front desk we didn't even dispute it. The woman at the desk told us that the parking garage was just around the corner. It's not "just around the corner". You have to go down to the light, take a right, go up another street, through a parking lot and down an alley way. Seriously, I almost lost my mind! Oh! And the entrance is TINY! If you have a large car, forget about it! A complete nightmare! If that wasn't bad enough, our room was tiny and such a huge disappointment. Nothing like the photos online. I'm feeling pretty ripped off and because we booked through a secondary site, the refund process is ridiculous. So, here we sit, in our room counting down the hours until bedtime so that we can check-out and find another hotel. Such a waste of time and money. NOTE: There is NO restaurant or bar in the hotel. There is a Starbucks just outside. Update: the hotel called us twice last night offering to help us with the refund process and even offered to move us hotels. I was planning on removing my review but due to the owners response, I'll be keeping it. Unfortunately, my son, who's 5 was already settled and the thought of packing up and moving to another hotel seemed a bit overwhelming. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone! Everything I was asking for in a last minute, affordable hotel - close enough to the amenities of downtown without being downtown. Visiting for a wedding, I booked a room for the GF and me on Expedia when staying with the newlyweds was no longer in my budget picture. I had checked the reviews on Yelp, acknowledged the short distance to the wedding venue, saw the reasonable price (compared to many "nicer" downtown hotels), and booked it with a rental car for two nights. Starting off- We had a very nice female front desk person when we checked in. She upgraded our room when I asked if we could have one with a view. It was basically empty because of COVID but I still appreciated the gesture. The underground garage cost 21.50 per night and was basically empty so I had my choice of spots. I'm sure when there's not a pandemic, it's a different situation as it's a small garage for a relatively big hotel. Our room was very cute. We had a mini fridge, microwave, coffee and tea supplies, non-standing balcony with double doors that open and two soft queen beds. And the view really did deliver. Speaking of- The roof, although it was so windy the few times I went up, had great views of not only the ocean but the space needle and the hill. The only complaint I have and it's super minor, is the halls, elevator and lobby all smell like an old lady (ie; roses and powdery smell) I'm not sure if they are using a certain air freshener or cleaners but it's pretty strong. My room did not have the smell, thank goodness but every time I went in any of the common areas it was very noticeable to me. read more

Nice hotel in Queen Anne close to Seattle Center (Space Needle, EMP, Monorail, Key Arena). The rooms are clean and comfortable with kitchenettes. There is NO A/C - do not be surprised by this! We went in late July and were fine with the ceiling fan and window, but if you must have a/c, don't book here! There is a cool rooftop deck with good views of the city and the water. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. I have to disagree with those who say the hotel is on a "very busy street". I just didn't see that. It is a one-way main road, but we did not see a high volume of cars nor people in this area at all. I thought it was a nice area and there are several restaurants you can walk to. The pros: Decent value, convenient underground parking, pretty clean, pretty comfortable, very good TV/internet, decent room, fairly comfortable bed, decent overall location (walking distance to many local attractions), adjoining Starbucks, Safeway store across the street. The cons: The gym sucks. The weight machine is a throwback to the 1940s; dysfunctional - just upgrade to something more modern and perhaps throw an array of free weights and a bench into there - the gym is also too stuffy. All easy fixes. The noise from outside through the closed window to the room was borderline nuts - car alarms, honking, trucks, people - I would think that a window upgrade could solve that. Had to put cotton balls in my ears and a pillow over my head to sleep. Coffee in the lobby tasted terrible. And there ya have it. Overall, the positives outweighed the negatives. read more

We stayed here on 7/15 and 7/16 in room 216, and overall we enjoyed our stay. The best thing about this hotel is its prime location if you want to hoof it to some nearby tasty eateries and Seattle Center, which contains tons of activities that can easily fill your day. As for the hotel itself, our bathroom was spotless, the sheets were clean, but I'm thinking the comforter and blanket was not, due to the fact that my companion found a sewing needle laying in between the dated blankets. The light fixtures could've been cleaned (I don't really care for dead bugs being illuminated of their sad demise) and the switches and thermostat could've been wiped down to remove all the food fingerprints that the previous occupants left. Another downside, was that there is no air conditioning. If it's warm, like the days we were there, the rooms will be stuffy and you'll gained no relief from the elements in your room. Overall the experience was adequate. I don't know if I would go out of my way to stay here again, but I wouldn't mind it either, due to its great location. Skip... their paid WiFi and head over to the coffee shop next door to use theirs free. If you can... Get a room that faces in the direction of the Seattle Center, or you'll windup with a lovely view like ours.....parking lots and more parking lots. Pleasantly surprised! Wasn't expecting much with the cheap price I paid for two nights but boy was I wrong. The hotel is was very clean and staff was very friendly. Will definitely be staying here again when I come back to Seattle. They've got a wonderful rooftop patio that you can bring dinner from the many nearby restaurants. We didn't but next will take advantage of the courtesy bikes. The kitchenette came in handy as well as there is so much good food in town, we constantly had leftovers that turned into the perfect midnight snacks thanks to the fridge and microwave. read more

No AC in the room freaked me out at first because it has been really hot when I was walking around outside but they keep the windows open and it brings in fresh air. That mixed with the ceiling fan made it really nice. My room had a day bed in the window and a really pretty view of Seattle and the water. The windows staying open was nice because I could hear the seagulls in the afternoon. The location is convenient and the rooftop is a nice place to hang out and have some drinks and enjoy the views. There is a small gym, some cucumber water, a computer room, and a built in Starbucks. I think it's annoying you have to pay extra to have access to the internet, but that's my only complaint. read more

Terrible hotel. This might be my first Yelp review ever, that's how bad it was. First, our A/C didn't work on day 1. Blew hot air. Instead of moving our room, they had maintenance come up and do a complete replacement of the unit while we waited to go to bed. Then, the tv worked intermittently. Turns out the cable in the back wasn't even connected correctly. Maintenance has still not fixed it. UPDATE: As we are checking out, maintenance finally fixed the cable box...maintenacyce guy said it's a known issue and only fixing them once someone checks out...TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Elevators are a nightmare. It's a 6 floor hotel with two very slow elevators that you share with housekeeping and maintenance. And, this AM with a lot of traffic from fans in town for last night's Kraken game and today's Seahawks game, one elevator is down! And, instead of holding the cleaning crew from using the elevators with their huge laundry bins that take up the entire elevator, they are cramming them in there along with throngs of fans trying to go up and down...the stairways are even crammed...upon mentioning all this to the front desk, they didn't feel it necessary to discount our room, or offer anything in return for us not getting what we paid for...won't be staying here again! read more

The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. I arrived during Snowmaggedon in the early morning. They allowed me to check in around 10:30 instead of 4:00. This was wonderful! So much better than freezing in a random coffee shop. However, the room was clean, but a tad miserable. Only one window with the view in the photo below. We had a great experience staying here last Sunday! Some of the pictures we saw in reviews made the hotel look older and outdated, so we went into the stay a little hesitant. But we were pleasantly surprised by our updated room! Apparently they renovated all the rooms around December 2019, the updated pictures just aren't posted yet. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. We had a view of the water. There's a little wet bar area with a sink, mini fridge, and microwave- and to ice the cake, complimentary bags of popcorn provided. I'll never say no to that! The rooftop was also a great added bonus. Lots of (socially distant) seating and space heaters for those chilly nights. It even has a view of the space needle! Parking is not included in the room rate, which we initially didn't love. But for $21 a night you get a secure, key-entry garage beneath the hotel. With car break-ins unfortunately the norm downtown, our peace of mind was well worth the extra cost! And the friendly staff let us leave our car there for a few extra hours after checkout so we could walk around the city. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in the city! read more

We stayed here for a week starting 2012.0703 and enjoyed our stay. We were visiting our daughter who lives in the Magnolia area of Seattle and found this hotel to be conveniently located to her house and the Space Needle area (it is only a few blocks from the Space Needle). The room was decently sized, with a bay window upholstered bench, King size bed, desk, microwave, and refrigerator. There is a Safeway market a half a block away so if you don't feel like eating out at the many nearby good restaurants, you can bring food back to the room. There is a rooftop desk that has great views of Seattle and Puget Sound. Parking and Internet service is extra, but they have a weekly rate for both that brought the price to reasonable levels. Free water bottles are available for guests at the front desk. For the Independence Day holiday, they gave out small flags to guests! A very nice touch! The room rate was $148/day (based on a week's stay) + parking ($50/week), internet ($15/week) + taxes (an expensive $25.76/day!!) + an "Energy / Utility Assessment fee ($4.28/day). Instead of all the extra fees (Energy ???), they should just make the base price reflect them and keep it simple! read more

I really don't post about these things but when I was checking out the two girls at the front desk laughed at each customer when they complained about something. Stayed three nights. Second time back. Rooms are okay..........very clean. The corners are clean.............you can usually find nasty stuff in corners, not here. Fairly pricey, but the location was great. Speaking of great, the employees are great. Front desk people were very helpful. The cleaning staff looked you in the eye and asked how your day was. Each time we asked for something, they had it for us...........wine glasses, silverware, etc. There is a Starbucks attached to the hotel. CSV and Safeway one block away. 20 minutes to the airport. Woke up this morning planning to speak to a new manager about our disappointing experience last night, it was Yasmine again. Same response, "Like I said, I'm sorry you feel that way and it's our policy. Regardless of how the employees handled it, it is what it is." It's the point and principle that it WAS NOT communicated to us during the (3) separate times we called on the same evening as the event, that the parking capacity was reaching its limits and that this place only allows (1) vehicle per reservation. It's the point a d principle that you still had a paying customer move their vehicle to pay an extra $100 for street parking. You were NOT sold out, even though you specifically said you were. You were NOT accommodating in any way and did not handle it appropriately. Very disappointing and unacceptable. Please provide a email, contact info or something to help escalate this issue, that could have been avoided. read more

We stayed here for 4 days and absolutely loved it! From the moment we stepped in we felt welcomed. Our room was spotless and the bed was super comfy. The room wasn't as big as we had expected but we weren't planning on being cooped in there too much so it was fine. The rooftop view was AMAZING. Take a blankey and some wine up there! The coffee and citrus infused water in the lobby was also appreciated everyday! This place was also a prime location for everything we planned to do! Overall, great experience had here! read more

I don't come to Seattle very often but when I do I stay here! I've tried a few of the Marriot BonVoy group hotels and the Sheratons and stayed in some of the nice waterfront places and this one became my favorite about 5 years ago and now I only stay here. The beds are very comfortable, the parking is easy and very safe, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I stayed last night on a very last minute trip and Yasmin took my reservation over the phone and was delightful and Jasmine was the evening desk person when we got there. She was also very helpful with food questions and got me checked in and to bed very quickly. The rooms have everything one would need and the cleaning staff was friendly also. I wish this hotel was in every city I had to go to. read more

The "Manager", Amanda informed me that if I didn't have the Do Not disturb sign on my door, Hotel staff could enter at any time. Perfect launching point for seeing all of Seattle. Our family of 4 was in town to see my brother who lives there and see Udub for my high school kid. She loved it by the way. Let me start with "this is not a fancy hotel". But an older clean nice little place. Best part is the roof sitting area with a great view. Next is the nice people working there. Next is the rooms. Very very small with small bathroom. But beds were so comfy and it was nice to have a little kitchenette. Air inside room was nice. The fact it's connected to a Starbucks is also awesome. Walking distance to restaurants key area Seattle center and space needle very cool. I will stay again. I would give it more stars but it's not that kind of place. But still very nice for what it is. Excellent! The staff at the front desk was amazing. From helping me to check in early and even letting me switch rooms for a better view. (The first faced the inner courtyard, which is great for less noise, but a view of vinyl siding). They had wine glasses & a bottle opener available which came in handy! The roof deck is awesome! Such beautiful views of the Seattle skyline. The room was clean and comfortable. They even updated their cable while we were there. We stayed for 5 nights and will definitely be staying there again if we can. pros: -The staff!! -Central location & walking distance to most things. -Clean comfortable room -Roof deck!! cons: -The underground parking is great. However, there are the occasional inconsiderate types taking up 2 spaces. Totally uncool when there are fewer spaces than there are rooms. I randomly came across this hotel on Expedia. I always try and find the best deal. I was sold on the fact it was a great deal and on their first picture looked like a great view. We missed our flight early that morning. We were able to get a later flight. Called the hotel to let them know we were running late. They said it would be no problem. I asked if they had recommendations on any restaurants in the near area they listed a few great options. We arrived late that night. I went in to ask about parking they said they had hotel parking but would be $18/day suggested I park on the street since it would be free. Luckily we found parking right up front. Went up to our room it was nice, clean and roomy. As we finished unpacking we realized we forgot toothpaste. I called downstairs and asked if they would have some. They said they did. I went down and thanked them. Then asked if they had recommendations of activities to do. They said it's kind of late but a lot of people like to pick up food and a nice bottle of wine and go up to their rooftop. We thought that would be a great idea. We went to the local market got some food and a bottle of wine. The front desk offered a wine opener and wine glasses. We had a lovely dinner on the rooftop enjoying the view. We really wanted this to to be a great Hotel. The location is good, the price is "ok" and the reviews were mostly positive. We typically stay at a newer Marriott property close to the U-District, but were forced to branch out when that Hotel was sold out. The Hotel is pretty rundown and the rooms are remarkably small. The Wi/Fi (although free) is too slow to stream any video, the parking is cheaper than downtown Hotel parking @ $18 per day + door dings. When the spot says "Compact" heed their warning. A more accurate label would be "so small you will climb through your sunroof". Although they offer good coffee in the room, the coffee pot doesn't make coffee. We must have received their special upgraded coffee machine that just noisily percolates while producing no fluid. Good news, the room had a wonderful aroma of coffee. When I called the front desk to request a late check-out, the clerk was a special kind of helpful and said, "latest is 1:00pm" and promptly hung up the phone. She was so efficient in her communication style. On the high notes: The location is very good. But, then again, you can pitch a tent in a great spot and it's still a tent. read more

We came from Portlad to Seattle to spend the weekend and stumbled upon this gem. It was Memorial day weekend so everything was sold out or incredibly expensive so when we found this hotel we were surprised at how reasonable the price per night was compared to other properties. We arrived at 10am (check in is at 4pm) and were offered parking in rear secured garage (about $21 per night) so we parked and walked around for a while then returned at 2pm. The room was ready and they allowed us to check in early which was very nice. The room was small but very clean, comfortable and well decorated. There is a fridge, microwave, coffee pot and hot water kettle in the room with complementary teas and coffee as well as all the typical toiletriesyou find in a hotel room. The staff was very friendly and courteous. This hotel is also in walking distance of lots and lots of great stuff to do so that was another plus. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. read more
