We stayed here for one night this weekend. While the bed was super comfortable, the rest of the room was just okay. Not great but not terrible. My biggest disappointment is that the view of the skyline in all their pictures is now gone due to a giant apartment building being built. Rooftop area is still pretty cool and you do have a water view. Still, felt pretty mislead since that was the main reason I booked this hotel for the price I did. Also the $27 a night to park under their building is comical. Just seems a little greedy. read more

I found an AMAZING deal on Groupon for this place, and it was recommended to me, so this made my hotel decision quite easy for my trip to Seattle. All of the other hotels I was looking at were either out of my price range, had awful reviews, or were all the way over by SeaTac Airport. This place was simple, nothing fancy, but clean and very convenient. It is in a good location, just a short walk to the Space Needle. The staff was very nice and helpful to us. One thing I thought was odd though was online it said that there was a free continiential breakfast, however that was not the case. This was not a big deal though, as there is a Safeway right near the hotel. Plus they had free apples in the fitness center, woo! The view from the roof is incredible! The skyline looks awesome. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area, I was satisfied with my stay there. read more

My husband and I came here to spend a night in Seattle for our anniversary and we highly recommend it. 2 minute walk from Safeway, LITERALLY right across the street from Dick's Burgers, and 2 minutes away from the Seattle pacific science center! And not to mention the views you get from the roof top! The employees were also super nice & attentive. The only thing that took that last star away was the first room we were checked into we noticed a few long strands of human hair on the bedsheets under the pillows as we were observing the bed. We immediately called the front desk and asked if we could have new sheets sent up due to what was just found & he went ahead and gave us a different room instead! Still had a beautiful view of the city and it was much bigger so we were super pleased! Everything else was super clean, and neat. Bathrooms were loaded with toiletries and the kitchenette had popcorn, coffee & tea! Very nice for the price! And the views from the roof top were amazing. They had space heaters outside next to the patio furniture that was out there for guest. And it's open for your use between 6am-midnight. We sat out there for a good 2 hours last night & a short half hour this chilly morning before check out for a few good pictures. All in all, great place! read more

We had a lovely and pleasant 2-night stay. The biggest pros for us were location, comfy bed, cleanliness, kitchenette, convenient parking, affordable self-service laundry machines and roof top patio. And very helpful and pleasant staff who gave great recommendations for meals. Definitely stop by Toulouse for breakfast. Just a few cons and that would be slow elevators and some out-dated fitness equipment. We ended up taking the stairs to our 6th floor room rather than wait for the elevator. My daughter stayed here and the door to her room did not lock. She was unaware until after she slept, took a shower and left for the day leaving her belongings unattended. They agreed to move her to a new room but the manager(who is a woman) refused to refund some of the money. Told her she could leave the hotel if she wanted and find another.(the concert she was here to see was starting during this discovery) The audacity to put her safety at risk and then act like she needed to be grateful. This has to be one of the most awful and careless hotels I have encountered. The fact it is a woman bothers me even more. What if it was her alone at 20yrs old in a strange town in that room with a door that didn't lock taking a shower? or her daughter? would it be ok then? read more

We really like the Mediterranean Inn for lodging while in Seattle. It has a great location and there is a grocery store on the next block. They offer parking if needed. There is also a Starbucks on site. The customer service is, for the most part, great. Even when messaging via the Booking App, they respond quickly. The only issue I ran into was when I asked if we could have late check out. I was deferred to the next person 3 times before I received and answer. read more

The hotel is perfectly located for tourists wanting to enjoy the top sights Seattle has to offer. It's 2 blocks from the Space Needle and former 1962 World's Fair grounds and the Monorail which takes you downtown. The hotel staff is knowledgeable, respectful, helpful and very friendly. However, at the rates charged the hotel should make sure the offered morning coffee is ready at the 6:30 AM posted time and a simple continental breakfast would be an excellent addition for guests departing to catch early flights. read more

We've stayed at the Mediterranean Inn several times, not sure why I haven't reviewed them yet! We love the Inn, it's cozy, comfortable, clean and friendly. The front desk staff have always been welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable about the area which is a definite plus. Sometimes the late night staff can be a little stand offish but I often wonder if they get tired of dealing with the unruly bunches rolling in off the street at bar closing time! We try our darndest to hush up but sometimes the simplest things become hilarious! I personally think one of the most important things about overnight accommodations is the smell. The Mediterranean has always smelled fresh and clean and this past weekend was no different. The lobby, the rooms and the elevator all smell freshly cleaned and I just think that's important to mention! The main reason for the missing star is the doors don't close all the way on their own, you have to make sure they close. That scared me the first time I noticed it so just make sure you pull the door closed when you leave and return. Front desk staff should make sure they tell everybody upon check in to alleviate any security concerns. Another reason is the very very slow elevators! You can almost press the up button and go park your car kind of slow. That would never stop me from booking a room here, just thought I'd mention it! Price, location and service will continue to bring us back to the Mediterranean Inn on our future visits to Seattle! read more

We usually stay at Best Western Hotels but wanted to stay closer to Space Needle, and from looking at photos and reviews of Mediterranean Inn plus the price we decided to stay here. We arrived at SeaTac at 9 am and arrived at Inn around 12:30pm, I figure we'd have to wait till 4pm check-in time but was surprised our room was ready. And once we got to room was amazed on how nice it was, everything looked new, must of had rooms renovated recently. The view on top of roof was so beautiful, I would definitely come back and recommend this place to friends and family. Everything we needed was walking distance, market across street, CVS down one block, Space Needle just walking distance. And we had a problem with tv and maintenance came and replaced it with a brand new smart 46". Best hotel we've ever stayed in, and also Starbucks downstairs. I accidently booked a room at 9pm Tuesday night 10/17-no concerts going on in the area to cause the hotel to be booked up. Showed up 10/18 at 5pm after work to realize that I booked the room for the wrong night. I tried to stay there but they were booked due to the concert that I was going to as well. I called today 10/20 spoke to Wendy (the manager) who read from a Script to tell me they would not refund my card. There was no customer service, no offer to have me come on another night that was comparable in price, or even a partial refund. No understanding of 9pm same night reservation mistake, I'm only human. I thought I had found another hotel downtown, guess not. I would not stay here-go to Belltown Inn-they are the best. read more

The Mediterranean Inn earns all 5 stars. It was clean, the rooms were spacious and had many amenities (fridge, microwave, sink with a garbage disposal!) that'll make you feel right at home, in addition to friendly and welcoming front desk agents making themselves available as resources for things to do in Seattle. The room rate and $18 self-parking rate were very reasonable, and the location was close to many eateries, grocery stores, and drug stores. You can find coffee and fruit-infused water in their lobby round the clock, in addition to wine glasses and bottle openers at the front desk. Although it was a bit too chilly to enjoy their rooftop terrace for long, we were able to take a few pictures of the Space Needle. Love! read more

The room was clean, plumbing and appliances (minifridge and micro) were functional, the service was solid, and the rooftop deck is a HUGE amenity we took full advantage of. Overall a good hotel! Staff is super friendly. Rooms have a little kitchenette area which is great when you have leftovers that you want to snack on. They even provide popcorn for you in the room at no charge! One of the amenities we took advantage of was free bikes! We rode all the way to Pike's Place and back (tiring but fun). I was last in Seattle 2 years ago. I wanted to stay here, but it was sold out. So I stayed someplace else that I also really liked. So guess what? I tried to stay at the other place and THEY were sold out. So I finally got to check this place out. And OMG it did not disappoint. I know Seattle isn't exactly the mass transit friendliest place, and being from NYC, I try to avoid using a car when I'm traveling. I managed to use light rails, monorail (which goes from the center of town to the Seattle Center, where the Space Needle is) and Lyfts. It's easy to get around. It's roughly a 15 minute walk to the monorail, which if you want to avoid driving or taxis when coming from the airport (unless you have, you know, a boatload of luggage). So Meditteranean Inn...they tell you when you check in that there is no in-house restaurant. But there are plenty of place walking distance to eat. Diners, Mexican, Dick's Drive-in...only drawback is many of these joints close early (being from the "city never sleeps," I'm always amazed that places close before, like 10 pm, on the west coast). There is a Starbucks on site. A CVS and Bartell's Drugs plus a Safeway walking distance. The cool part is there is a mini fridge, microwave and other stuff for bringing your own food in, if need be, But seriously who needs THAT because you're in freaking SEATTLE and there's lot of good places to eat!! But the real beauty part is the rooftop access, which awesome views of the Needle and downtown areas. Plus on a clear day, you can see Mt Rainier. Beautiful. Sigh. The real distinguishing factor is the service. By far, the nicest front desk I've ever dealt with. WE had a queen room, we prefer kings, but hey first world problems, amirite? I'd give this place zero stars. We came up from Portland, OR for a Mariner game and stayed here We paid $16 for hotel parking only for there to be no parking after the game. Front desk was kind enough to tell us where to park only for our vehicle to of been towed at 7am. We went at 7:30 to leave to find no vehicle. I called the hotel manager Amanda to only get zero help or concern that the front desk is leading people to park so their car can be towed. They would not refund our parking because we used the parking when we first got there no did she even care that we now had to pay $25 uber bill and almost $300 tow bill to the shadiest tow company to stand in a line to get our car. I'd think hotel has a scam going on with tow company. Will never stay here again. Whatever u do, do not park on the street where the hotel tells you it is ok unless you don't want your car. We stayed during the "state of emergency" snow storm the first week in February 2019. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but cozy. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Our only issue is that we were on the 6th floor right next to the stairs. This hotel having a great terrace with a view of the city it's great, but you can hear all the steps of guests going up and down the Stairs to get to the terrace. This woke us up several times during our 4 night stay. Also due to the snow, the hotel was unable to get us a shuttle to the airport which turned a bit scary since we could have missed our flight. But luckily we were able to get a lyft at 5am. Overall, the hotel is located at walking distance to a lot of great places like the space needle and staff was great. Will return. read more

Other than that, it's just not a very comfortable place, staff isn't very welcoming/friendly/caring. This was the best experience I have ever had ! Came to Seattle for the first time in October 2019. Stayed for 3 nights 4 days. The front desk was amazing ! They answered all the questions I had , the roof top was the best part. It is close like about 7 mins walking to the space needle and walking distance to a cafe that's open late and a bar which was ozzies and close to CVS and Safeway. It all going literally in a circle block. So convention and the room was 2 doors away from the elevator and I did NOT hear one peep at night . Very quiet hotel and it is worth every dime I paid ! I'm stuck in the middle. Mediterranean didn't suck, but it wasn't amazing. Just little things here and there... Usually I write long story telling reviews, but for Mediterranean I'll just list the pros and cons and let you decide. Pros: Affordable, Clean. Walking distance to Space Needle, EMP, Key Arena, Monorail to Pikes. AMAZING VIEW from the roof. Free Internet in lobby area. Starbucks attached to it. Cons: You have to pay for parking and internet in your room. The beds were super small. The website shows rooms with great views, I had a view OF other rooms. No early check in. 4pm is the earliest they'll let you. The front desk seemed annoyed anytime I spoke with them. The biggest con I have, however, is when I called ahead of time to find out what the cheapest way from the Airport to their Hotel is. They told me the cheapest way was to get a Taxi, or for a slightly discounted rate to call a towncar company that they have a deal with. This would have cost me 30-40 Something dollars. On my own, I was able to find a MUCH CHEAPER method. TIP! If you're coming from the Airport, take the Sound Transit LIGHT RAIL!(http://www.soundtransit.org/x11204.xml) It only cost $2.50 per person to get from the airport to Westlake. From Westlake, jump on the Seattle Center MONORAIL- Also $2 per person(http://www.seattlemonorail.com/) This will bring you directly to the Space Needle, and a mere TWO BLOCKS from the hotel. The whole trip takes about 45 minutes. I PROMISE you the Light Rail seemed incredibly clean and safe for tourists, and the monorail is filled with tourists anyway. It's ALOT CHEAPER than a taxi or towncar. Maybe I'm just upset that the hotel tried to make me use their expensive towncar instead of telling me(or knowing about) the light rail/monorail. This hotel definitely does the trick and is acceptable. It certainly isn't a bad hotel and I had no huge glaring problems, but for some reason I don't think I'll be staying here again. On my last couple of trips back to Seattle, I've had the chance to sample two very different places to stay. The first was this hotel, or Inn as they prefer. The other was the Courtyard by Marriott, near Lake Union. Two very different Four Star experiences and Seattle locations. It's not one of those fifteen floor concrete cookie cutter hotels you see everywhere. It truly is an Inn. The staff works really hard on creating the right sort of ambiance to fit this very European structure. By the way, the parking is also very European, in that the spaces are tight and cost a little extra. Outside it's doors, you have the night life of Lower Queen Anne and the nearby Seattle Center and Space Needle. You also have that culinary northwest hamburger establishment across the street, which is Dick's. There's nearby Metropolitan Market, if you want to pickup some fresh groceries for your room. There's bookstores and record (yes, record) shops. This little gem is ideal if you want to be close to the Space Needle and Westlake Monorail station, as it is about a 10 to 15 minute walk away (so you don't have to worry about parking and driving). It is still at a decent distance from the hustle and bustle of Pike Place about 1 and a half miles (we walked this and it wasn't so bad), and about a 30 minute drive from the SEA airport. The rooms themselves are not very big but are equipped with a small sink, mini fridge, microwave, and some cabinets. The rooms are nothing fancy but it's got all the small conveniences. Speaking of which! How awesome is it that there is a Safeway grocery store practically across the street? This makes it ideal if you want to save a few bucks by buying a few food items to keep in your room. If you have some time, check out their roof patio. It's quite nice and offers a nice view of downtown and the space needle. Their chairs are pretty relaxing too. If you're lucky to be there on a sunny day, soak up some sun! The 4 stars you wonder? I mean this place is pretty good so far. Well let's just say when you find yourself on a red eye flight and can't find parking? It can be quite annoying....more like aggravating. We drove in an F150. Picture the tiniest parking garage ever. The kind with very, very low ceilings and narrow parking spots with not much room to maneuver. Got it? Now add lots of cars parked terribly. You know the debauchery, the ones that hog two spaces! Cant park between the lines, yeah. Let's just say to park this Ford was a nightmare. The antenna kept swiping against the beams and parking alone took 30 min because there was no parking in any level. The gentleman at the front desk told us it was ok to park on the handicap spot, but even still, that didn't feel right. I still recommend this place if you're looking to save, and still have a nice accommodation. Even more if you don't have a car with you! I, too, recently completely a 3 night stay here after some ridiculously cheap fares from Virgin America and a few phone calls to friends. The deal was around $82/night on average which was cheap for such a prime location and I mainly looked on hotels.com instead of yelp because I am often disappointed by Yelp reviews and turned away from hotels that I actually find I don't mind staying at. This hotel was such a case! I am sad to see that it has such crappy reviews which would normally turn someone like me off because I would simply think it would be a dirty hotel; but all in all the experience was great in consideration of how much money was spent. The rooms were definitely clean, warm, cozy and comfy. There was enough lighting to be in all kinds of moods from bright ass looking for an earring on the ground to soft, dim romantic lighting. The TV worked well with no static and the rooms were cleaned on a daily basis. The shower had good pressure and my only complaint would be the slight lack of counter space as I bring my entire bathroom to travel. The parking is $15/ night and the parking garage is horrific, hard to find and difficult to get in and out (you will scrape with a stock STOCK rental car and each spot is made for a mini, seriously ....) but the location is fantastic and lots of great coffee and cafes nearby as well as the famed Seattle center. From the minute you walk into this hotel, it's evident that the staff is amazing. The check in process was quick and easy. We were nicely upgraded to a king room. The room was equipped with a small refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave which came in handy. There are no hidden hotel charges, which is a pleasant surprise these days. There's a Starbucks attached the hotel, many restaurants on the same street, it's 2 blocks to a 24 hour drug store and market, and walking distance to the Space Needle. The Pike Market is a little over a mile away. The best hotel feature is the rooftop deck. It's set up with multiple tables, chairs and heaters where you can enjoy the beautiful city views. If you're looking for a hotel where everyone is very, accommodating and cares about your comfort, this is the place to stay! read more

The Cons: -There is no continental breakfast. -The elevators are ssssooooooo sssllllooooowwwww. -Our window looked out onto their courtyard, so we only had a view of the other room's windows. Not a big deal right? Well early Thursday morning at 2am, I woke up to the most loud and obnoxious sex noises ever from another room which window faces the courtyard. Loud. Echoing. Moaning. BARF. Staff was friendly and helpful. Two floors were undergoing renovations. My room was directly under those floors but I really didn't hear much at all. Safe wasn't working on arrival but they fixed it pretty quickly. The rooms are a bit dated rooms but very clean and I think it gives character. You will not get a better roof top view of the city anywhere. Literally within walking distance to every thing a tourist wants to see. Great food nearby!
