Not open during business hours on a Sunday at noon?? Also, the parking lot can only be accessed from the eastbound side of Bear Valley, so good luck if you're coming from the westbound side. There is a fence between the shared strip mall, which doesn't even allow foot traffic through to the restaurant lot. I get the sense there must be some petty landlord feud happening to do something like that. Anyway, I guess you truly don't want our business, or anyone else's for that matter. Heading over to The Don Kabob instead. Where I know for sure they're open and I already know the food is delicious. This is an edit to respond to the business owner who said I should have googled: I shouldn't need to Google your business in addition to Yelp. If this location is closed, as the owner, you can reach out to Yelp to notify them. This would be a better business practice than blaming your potential (and now never) customers. Place is very clean - must overlook the parking by lot as you walk in - inside is inviting and entertaining at the same time. Cashier was super friendly - Process are just right for the portions - very good menu with plenty of Mediterranean options. We stopped here for some kebabs and there was no customers. We almost left but the lady at the register said they just opened. So we ordered the beef and chicken kebabs. They are served to go but you can sit down at tables to eat. It's a casual restaurant. The hummus was homemade and was delicious. Food was fresh but the steak was a bit chewy. 4 of us arrived for lunch. There were a couple of other groups there. We ordered chicken, lamb and falafel wraps. While we waited an hour for our lunch, one group left. One of the group waited and took the food to go for the rest of the group. No one offered anything as an apology for the ridiculous wait. After an interminable wait, the waitress indicated where we could get our own cutlery. We ordered hot tea, were informed it was not available. Overall, the food was tasty. This is the 3rd location of this casual dining restaurant where I have eaten. This is the worst. Edit: After almost 2 hours waiting, then eating; food was good. One server came out with baklava as a consolation. That was the bare minimum least that they could do. Update: Two plates, two wraps $93!!!! What a rip-offf!!! Not recommended. Came here recently since I was craving mediterranean food and I had a good experience. I tried the Chicken Kebab & Beef Lule Combo plate, the Halal drink, garlic paste, and Tahini paste. The chicken kebab was dried/overcooked and the reason for my 4 star review, but other than that things were good. Ambiance was great. Great customer service and very friendly. To me it was very funny when the guy (I think the owner) called the garlic paste "drugs", but overall very informative and great customer service. P.s.: if you ask about the Halal drink and they warn you about it, there's a reason. Not everybody loves it, just certain people. It's a salty yogurt peppermint drink. read more

Not impressed. Moved up here a year ago from down the hill, grew up eating Mediterranean food since I was a kid because it was my mom's favorite. Our favorite chain/restaurant was Zaky. We would go there at least once a month to order their family meal which would feed us for at least half a week. This place was subpar. My favorite things in this cuisine is Tzatziki sauce, Toum (emulsified garlic), Kafta meat, and Chicken Lule. All of these were incredibly underwhelming for me. And I ordered their family meal so I got everything (except Kafta bc it wasn't offered) The Tzatziki was way too watery and no flavor. As if they didn't add salt to the cucumber to dehydrate it before adding it to the yogurt. The Toum was way too oily and too garlicky. Now look, I LOVE garlic. But it was just too overpowering where all I could taste was garlic. Even now as I write this I still taste garlic!!! The Toum also didn't have any citrus notes to it, maybe they forget to add lemon? Either way, the texture was like a jello instead of a paste. Not very appetizing when I mixed it with my rice since it stayed clumpy rather than evenly mixed The chicken Lule! Omg, it tasted like it was frozen right before cooking! Meat was very tough and looked like it had barely been cooked! I HOPE the workers didn't pull it out of the freezer to cook for my order right then and there! It had that "frozen food" flavor where the flavors of the food are dulled out... Oh and the Baklava... I'm not a big fan of it but my family is. They told me it was not very sweet and the texture was not soft. I tried it and let me tell you... it tasted like a prepackaged Baklava that I could find at any middle eastern grocery mart Kind of like a puff pastry that's been sitting on the shelf too long. Was not very enjoyable. The only redeeming part of this place that gave it a 2 star instead of 1 was their beef kabob. It was decent but I've had better. Now listen, I was excited to give this place a try since we might've found a more convenient Mediterranean spot... But I'm just going to wait for anytime I'm down the hill and in the mood for Zaky. Not coming back to this place unfortunately. P.S. The ambiance was like a Hawaiian hangout spot? Why decorate your shop as a surfer would when your customers are willing to try "exotic" food in the first place? They should feel like they're walking into another culture entirely!
