Mediterranean Kitchen & Park Gyros is actually a really cute restaurant. It's pretty spacious, very clean, and they have both indoor and outdoor seating. The setup is casual--you order and pay for your food first, and then they bring it out to your table, so there isn't traditional waiter service. Unfortunately, as nice as the restaurant itself was, I did not enjoy the food at all. I ordered the Combo Gyro Plate, which came with rice, salad, chicken gyro, and beef/lamb gyro. We also ordered the Falafel (5 Pcs) and an A La Carte Adana. The Adana, which is a beef and lamb kofta-style kebab, had such a strong lamb flavor that it completely overpowered the beef. It was definitely not to my liking and left a very unpleasant aftertaste. The falafel was also disappointing. It tasted as though it had possibly been made ahead of time and then put back into the fryer to heat it up again. I had specifically asked for everything to come out hot, and while it was hot, the texture and taste made it seem like it may have been fried for a second time rather than freshly prepared. I did not like the beef and lamb gyro at all. It had quite a bit of fat throughout it, and one thing about me is that I absolutely cannot stand fatty pieces of meat. At the same time, the gyro itself looked dry and tasted dry, which made it even less enjoyable. The chicken gyro was just okay. It wasn't necessarily bad, but it also wasn't good enough that I wanted to continue eating it. Interestingly, they had given me a sample of the chicken before I ordered, and the sample was actually really good. Unfortunately, once I received the full plate, it didn't taste nearly as good. The chicken was probably the only meat that had some noticeable flavor, but I still only took a bite or two. The hummus was another disappointment. To me, it was extremely bland and had very little flavor. They did bring both pita and lavash bread to the table, and those were actually to my liking. I basically took one bite of each item and couldn't continue eating. Luckily, my husband hates wasting food, so he was able to eat most of it, but overall, neither of us was impressed. I'm Middle Eastern and normally love Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food and all of the bold flavors that come with it, so I was genuinely looking forward to trying this place. Unfortunately, this just wasn't it for me. The restaurant itself is cute, spacious, and clean, but based on the food we received, this is definitely a hard pass for me.

One of my favorite Mediterranean spots in the area!! I love the portions, how fresh everything tasted, and the ambiance feels casual enough but is still a good place for a dinner out. Chicken was very well cooked, seasoned perfectly, and came piping hot on my salad.

It was our first time here and we got 3 dishes: Mediterranean Combo Kebab Plate $24.50 My husband ordered this one, he chose the chicken and steak. This was so filling, he was able to finish the whole plate but I know I wouldn't have lol love the balance with the salad & all the meats and carb. Appetizer Combo Plate $19.50 This was such a fun platter, perfect to share with multiplie people. They give you a side of warm pita bread to dip into all of this goodness. Love biting a small piece of the pepperoncini and letting its juices go all over the dippings. Mediterranean Salad (+ Lamb Kebab $10.50) $22 This was so good! Such a big bowl of salad. I enjoyed the lamb, it was tender and love the seasonings on it. The salad is comes with a vinegar taste which I liked.

I was craving gyros and came across this place. I found the prices reasonable and the portions large. The food was extremely fresh and tasty and I can't wait to go back! We went inside, ordered, and we're given numbers to place on our table. Since it was a nice night, we sat outside and enjoyed some dog & people watching whole we waited for our food to arrive. It's in such a lovely location and we enjoyed our time outside while we had our dinner. 10/10 recommend!

TLDR: Great Chicken Souvlaki, Lemon Chicken Soup, Falafel Balls and other Mediterranean classics in a Casual pleasant upscale-ish vibe to match the rest of B'game's main drag. Not a dive! Courteous unobtrusive service. Once inside, you'll find a spacious, nicely appointed modern interior with reclaimed wood accents and big screen TVs with aerial views of beautiful Mediterranean (where else!) destinations. Ordering: Study the giant sized menu up an the wall. Place your order up at the counter, get your number and settle down at a table in one of the big booths along the wall. The polished wood dining tables at each booth are both sturdy and beautiful. Large party? There are a couple of long tables inside, and lots of airy outdoor tables and seating in the big veranda just outside of the entrance. We ordered the following:: Lemon Chicken Soup (Bowl): Tasty with a decent amount of shredded chicken included. (4/5) Falafel Balls: Spicy slightly, not huge, but they are very good!! Perfect crust - Crunchy yet delicate and moist on the inside. Rather pricey at $5.95 for four falafel balls. (Score: 4.3/5) If price didn't matter, I'd give these a 4.9/5 rating. Chicken Souvlaki Plate: The star of the show for me was this Chicken Souvlaki plate. Six moderately sized chunks of grilled chicken breast fire grilled kebab style. Numerous sides come with this plate, dominated by a fresh salad containing lettuce, sliced baby cucumbers, radish and diced tomatoes with a tangy dressing, a side of hummus, four slices of a pita bread and a small scoop of fluffy and moist steamed rice that I used to soak up the yummy chicken juices. Each chunk of white meat chicken was mostly moist with just one of the smaller pieces a tiny bit dry, but still very much on point. The refreshing cucumbers, tomatoes and lettuce from the salad was the perfect pairing for the chicken. (4.6/5) Surprise! Toward the end of our meal, we were pleasantly greeted with a serving of hot tea with a couple of slices of Turkish Delight for each of us to finish off our meal. Hey! Free dessert! That was very kind of our host! We will definitely keep this place in mind for future visits!

Tried the Chicken Souvlaki Plate and it was pretty good. Since I came so late, I was able to relax and enjoy my food in relative peace. I was given a gratis hot tea with a sweet at the end of my meal and it came in a fancy cup and saucer. I appreciated that.

We went there on a Sunday afternoon. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor sitting, and you have to order before finding a seat. The place is pleasant and clean. We ordered Adana and mixed gyro plate. It took them a little longer than expected to bring our food; my son was very hungry, so we ordered an appetizer too, which came after the food. Even though the food came late, it was delicious. Especially the lamb and gyro lamb was very tasty. The rice and salad in the plate was very good as well. They did bring two kind of bread with the dishes which both tasted good. Overall, we like this restaurant and we probably go there again and again

    CHICKEN GYRO PLATE

This restaurant has lots of seating, both inside and outside. The menu is extensive and includes many options, from appetizers, to platters, to gyros, and beyond. There is also plenty of street parking nearby. My friend and I split a lamb and beef gyros plate with a side of baba ghanoush. It was great! However, they only gave us 2 triangles of pita bread each. It wasn't enough pita for the baba ghanoush or for the lamb and beef plate we ordered. The fries were crispy and tasty, as well!

Came here on a Friday night for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is very spacious and has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Order at the counter, then grab a number and find a table. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki Plate, which was really good! Juicy chicken breast, wasn't dry at all like it often can be at mediterranean places. The plate also came with a pita, hummus, a yogurt dipping sauce, rice, and side salad. Everything was really fresh tasting and delicious. Will be back!

LAMB GYRO WRAP FALAFEL PLATE (Served With Hummus & Baba ghanoush Only)
    Jonathan C.

tl;dr: Solid Mediterranean food at affordable prices Falafel plate: Falafels were nice and crispy with good flavors. The hummus and babaghanoush were quite tasty. I wished it came with some pita or rice as it felt more like an appetizer. Lamb gyro wrap: Nice flavors and would order again. They have a diaper changing station in the bathroom, which is always appreciated when dining with kids.

Mixed combo grill: kofte, chicken souvlaki, beef shish kebab, lamb & beef gyros, chicken gyros
    Priscilla W.

Mediterranean Kitchen offers delicious food with reasonable portions. I ordered the chicken souvlaki plate, and the chicken was very moist and flavorful, nicely charred for just the right amount of smokiness. I loved the creamy hummus and the accompanying side salad was dressed well. Service was quick and friendly. Your order at the counter, pay, and receive a number card. Then you find seating (indoor or outdoor heated patio) and someone will deliver your food to your table. Overall great ambiance, food, service!

Esp when I was able to make last minute rezzies (an hour prior) and they had wide availability. The indoor dining room was packed and about 90% of the ample outdoor seating was filled. The house music was bumpin' and with the purple lighting inside, the whole vibe reminded me of Fluid Lounge in the city (iykyk). Sister resto to Roma Antica, Bottega, 'Napizza, and The Rustic in the city and Capri Lasagneria in Burlingame, Mykonos has been on my list to go to since they opened in 2020. For Burlingame standards, I found the Greek + Med fare with a full bar, to be fairly priced. They do charge a 4% hospitality fee. F O O D * Complimentary Pita Yea, it's commercial but hey, it's free and it's served warm and toasty. * Saghanaki: Pan-fried Kefalotyri Cheese w/ lemon + oregano ($14) Flamed tableside, the saghanaki makes for a great TT/reel with cheese pulls but it was just meh. It was very salty and the cast iron pan wasn't hot so the cheese quickly cooled and hardened. * Octopus w/ Greek-inspired chickpea puree ($19) Sous-vide then finished on the grill, the octopus was tender but could have used more time on the grill for a hotter temp and deeper char. The bed of chickpea puree was dry and gritty. * Lamb Riblets w/ lemon + oregano ($17) A generous portion of meltingly tender lamb riblets (5-6 bones) but I wasn't a fan of the indistinguishable brown sauce it was finished with. * Braised Lamb Shank w/ orzo & myzithra cheese ($34) A hearty comfort dish perfect for sharing, the braised lamb shank was perfectly cooked...so rich, tender, and savory with a pleasant gamey flavor. The accompanying orzo with olives was overly salty. S E R V I C E Awesome hospitality and customer service - our server was so kind, gracious and attentive with the warm manager checking in with every table. Considering how packed they were, our entire order quickly arrived and we were done in 35 minutes. A M B I A N C E Looking for club vibes? Sit indoors. Want a quieter meal with people watching? Sit outside at either the parklet, sidewalk tables, or side patio. Overall, Mykonos knows how to do lamb right! I found the food to be more reliant on salt for my preference, as I enjoy more traditional seasoning with herbs, spices, garlic, lemon, etc. 3.5 stars rounded up for the great service.

The hummus was creamy, the chicken shawarma was flavorful, and the bread was so good I briefly considered putting it in my pocket for later. The Adana kebab had enough spice to remind me that I still have functioning taste buds, while the lahmacun was essentially Turkish pizza, but which raises the obvious question: Why haven't we been doing this all along? So far, so good. My stomach was optimistic. Then things became a little less heroic. Some dishes seemed to have been prepared by completely different kitchens that weren't on speaking terms. The mixed grill arrived looking like it was preparing to support me through the apocalypse. There was so much food that I started making strategic decisions about which items I would eat now and which ones I would leave behind for my imaginary second stomach. The atmosphere is pleasant, the menu has plenty of choices, and there are enough good dishes to make me want to return. But three stars feels right: not bad enough to complain, not good enough to write poetry about.
