Take out order of a standard pad Thai with chicken. Super fast, everyone very friendly and smiling the whole time. Inside the restaurant presents well. The menu does look great. My only challenge was for $17.28. There was hardly any chicken and the portion seemed small. Anything it should've been a lunch size portion. So again an average meal. read more

Best Drunken Noodle Around Hands down the best drunken noodle -- bold flavors, perfectly cooked noodles, and exactly the right balance of heat and basil. And if you're someone who believes there's no such thing as too much spice or basil, you're in luck. The staff is fantastic -- friendly, attentive, and more than happy to accommodate modifications without any attitude. Extra spice? Extra basil? Done, and done well. I have been in search of a great Thai place near to me and this did not disappoint! I got the crispy pad Thai with chicken to go. It was perfect. A generous portion for sure. Lots of noodles, good amount of chicken and peanuts in a tasty sauce. Two photos - one is my first serving, the other my second. I got a level three heat which was just what I wanted. I've eaten here a few times and I have to say that every time it's been a very nice experience. The staff has been very nice and attendant when I've dined and they also do a good job of keeping the place pretty clean from what I've seen. Plus from what I've gathered the owner is good to the community. On the food side out of everything I've eaten so far I've had no complaints beyond some of the spiciest food could be a bit spicier. The Massaman curry was well made and went great with duck as the protein, spicy or not it's a good meal. The tamarind duck is in the same vein of just being a great dish though I think many people won't be able to get behind the taste, it's not a bad one but I think it's very foreign to this state and part of the world. Other stand out dishes I've had I'd say were the Crispy pork Pad Thai, Khao Moo Dang and the Rama Garden are great, they have good offerings for vegetarians or just people not wanting meat at the moment. The pork was properly crispy and just the right amount of juicy on the pad Thai The Khao Moo Dang is like Thai Char siu pork if you're familiar, if not just think of it like Asian barbecue pork. I think my only complaint is I understand it fully but I wish the prices were a bit lower on certain items. A scallion pancake for 10 seems a bit much. Other than that one thing I'd wish they'd do is add a few more Thai drinks. Some Nom Yen perhaps? read more

We drove out of our way to have Thai food the crab fried rice never disappoints. Got some lunch specials as we were grabbing a quick and small lunch. The pad Thai is a good as ever and just how I like jt (a tad wet) and the drunken noodles (while noodle portion was veryy small) had lots of veggies. Not a fan of the Rangoon that came with the lunch combo- it was overly sweet (maybe do to the carrots in it? As it was an orange filling). The spring roll was fine. Overall, everything was on the sweeter side (which I enjoy) so If that's your style for dishes, you'll love this place. read more

Looking for fresh quality Thai food? Mee D is definitely the place to go, especially if you are located around Sanford. Mee D serves up traditional Thai dishes with an expansive menu of soups, fried rice, and noodle dishes. Some of my favorite dishes include the basil fried rice, drunken noodle, green curry, and their Brussel sprouts are out of this world. I have eaten at the restaurant, and the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. More often than not, I typically order take out, and everything is packaged perfectly and is always kept hot. As previously stated, if you are in the Sanford area, I highly recommend that you give Mee D a shot. read more

Nice clean space, cute decor, very friendly staff and good food make Mee D Thai a great spot for a tasty lunch or dinner. We were there for a quick lunch but their whole menu looked great. I like when a place has some lunch combo specials and they had several good ones. They were doing a good business early in the day and I expect they are even busier in the evening. Over all a very solid authentic Thai restaurant that I will definitely be returning to. read more

We tried Mee D for the first time last night and it was a miss for me. We got the Thai sesame chicken and the sauce tasted odd. We also got Thai fried rice, pad Thai, spring rolls and chive dumplings. Everything was just okay in my opinion. Wouldn't be in a rush to order from them again. read more

Sanford does not have much to offer when it comes to Thai, Japanese, Asian cuisines. Food - SERVICE - The ordering process for take-out is frustrating. If a delivery is what you want you have to place it online. If you want to have take-out it is also online only - and YOU have to pick it up. We had a situation where MY son who is an adult was not medically cleared to go pick up the order. The restaurant employees were adamant HE had to walk up and pick it up. Even though we had the image of the order and order number. We were on the phone with him as he pressed the confirmation button for the pick up and they still would not release the pick up order. AMBIANCE - N/A - have not dine in. Due to the 3 areas = 5 / 3 = 1.66. If I only did 2 areas. 5 / 2 = 2.5. Therefore I have to give this a review. read more

Just checked this place out for the first time and regret not coming by sooner. My husband had the Pad Thai and I had the red curry... both with chicken... we also had the Thai dumpling as an appetizer. We ordered a take out. Pad Thai was really good and the mango curry was out of this world good. The rice was litte in comparison to the curry, we found out later when we sat down for dinner. I wish we knew and had ordered another side of rice. The curry itself was perfect amalgam of flavors! Mango with sticky rice was one dynamite dessert. We were there with another couple and all had a different duck dish. Everyone raved about their plate. Food was artistically served with attention to visual detail. Service was prompt and this family run business strives to make feel at home. As for the food, I had BBQ duck which came with a medley of veggies on red curry and coconut milk sauce with a side of brown or white rice. Portions were generous and preparation Thai perfect. After an exhaustive search, I found this to be the only Thai restaurant that offered Tom Yum Noodle Soup. Others had noodle soup, but I needed Tom Yum, and boy did they deliver! I loved the broth, it took me right back to where I was looking to go. And I love that they packed everything separately to go, since places leave the chicken in the broth, and it can get overcooked and a little hard, but the chicken in this case was juicy and delicious because it was packed separate. The noodles were typical but were a good portion, they gave me extra bean sprouts which I loved and there was a small container of brown sauce that I was unfamiliar with but tasted amazing, so I poured it in assuming it goes in. Sooooo good, I'm looking forward to trying my all time favorite dish over there soon. I gave it a 5 because I honestly can't think of anything wrong, epic soup night. read more

We are SO EXCITED to have Mee D Thai in town! We've made it a mission to try everything on the menu. It has turned into our little date night spot. The inside looks gorgeous and clean. Staff are very friendly. We went on a cold, snowy night and the chef gave us free cups of tea that he had made, it was so nice! Try the massaman curry- it's so delicious! Update! Hands down best Thai restaurant in Southern Maine and Coastal New Hampshire We were patiently hopeful that they would open another restaurant after the fire and their new place will not disappoint! Great service- you can feel the love and pride in their business and it truly shows! I love their new location and decor. A happy little getaway on those blah Maine winter days.
