Is it a five star Thai restaurant? No it's not it's your local delicious family run Thai restaurant. Is it worth five stars to be in this category? Absolutely! I'm a pad Thai kind of guy and this is my go to in the Winter Park Maitland area. The prices are outstanding I want to say pad Thai is around $12. The cheese rolls are outstanding. They're kind of like crab Rangoon, except for they don't look like crab Rangoon. They actually look like little spring rolls that are filled with delicious cream, cheese, goodness, and served with some sort of duck sauce to dip. I've honestly not tried anything else other than a couple of the appetizers and the pad Thai so I can't attest to any of the curries or other dishes. I have eaten in there one time and it was very fast, which was perfectly fine, because I was alone and wasn't looking to linger for any reason As far as pick up food goes lightning fast I highly recommend it order and leave to go pick it up. It will be ready when you get there. Don't worry if it sits there for five minutes because they use some sort of nuclear platonic super hyper heating element that makes the Food come out at 7000° so having a few extra minutes to let your food cool off is just fine trust me! Just a tip if you like pad Thai... For whatever reason they don't include crushed peanuts on the side with the pad Thai when you get it to go nor do, they include limes I find both of these items to be essential absolutely essential, so just put a note in your order or ask them to please put some on the side for you they'll do it no problem but it's the same thing with chopsticks. They're not putting them in your bag unless you ask for them so if you like chopsticks for your pad Thai like I do because pork are terrible for this kind of noodle just asked they'll put them in there no problem. I'm sure there are this restaurants in your neighborhood that are just as good so like I said, five star, white table and glove service... No, great local spot if you're 10 or 15 minutes away absolutely. read more

This place is overrated. I've been going here for years, and the last visit was it for me. I paid $46 for 2 entrees and 1 large soup. That's completely insane, even in today's market. On top of that my Thai Basil Chicken container wasn't as full as usual. Their curries are all on the sweet side, and a bit greasy. Must try thai food! I won't go anywhere else in FL to try it in fear it won't be as good this place. I've found in my food experiences that if you find a good Thai place stick with it. This one is it for me. Great customer service whether it's take out or dine in. Everything is cook to order hot and fresh. My favorite is the drunken duck rice. Large juicy, flavorful chunks of duck with the accompanied veggies and slightly gummy rice. Love it! Cheese stick appetizer is a must try with the sauce they provide. Decided to try this place on a whim. We never typically have Thai food, but we wanted to try something new and this place did not disappoint. We ordered take out and the food was fresh, hot and PACKED to the brim!! One portion could serve at least 3 people.... I ordered the chicken pad thai which was good, but a little sweet (hence the 4 star review). My fiancé ordered the drunken noodles with beef, which was phenomenal. We also ordered the egg rolls--more like spring rolls--which came with a sweet sauce. Overall, the food was really good and there wasn't a long wait to get it. What a Thai to be alive! How often does an Orlando restaurant end up on Yelp's annual top 100 restaurants! I discovered this place after that came out in 2019, and anytime I'm on Lee Rd I try and make a stop. Un-assuming from the road but packing a whole lot of flavor inside. This place is legit, I heard Thai being spoken in the back and tried to impress them with a sah wah dee khrap (hello) and a kòp kun kráp (thank you), can't tell if I impressed them but I did get a laugh ;) To the food, I usually start with the fried cheese rolls as an app (yes you read that right, thank me later) and my go to is the peanut base Pra Ram dinner ($13) or the Pad Basil dinner ($13). The portions are excellent IMHO and you can easily split with another person. read more

I've had Mee Thai marked on my "to try" map for a few years now and finally went today. I'm sorry, Dalis Lao Thai Cafe, but now you're my 2nd favorite Panang curry. My only complaint was that their AC wasn't working. That's it. And they do a crazy amount of takeout so it's moot, I could just take it to go. We wanted to try a bit of everything (plus leftovers, yay) and got most of our usual favorites to judge by. We started with the appetizer sampler with fresh (summer) rolls, my favorite hot weather snack. Theirs were good, wrappers broke but still good filing ratio and tender shrimp. The peanut sauce was ok, Viet-Nomz is still the king of summer rolls and peanut sauce in my book. The fried spring rolls and cheese rolls (think crab Rangoon as a spring roll) we're excellently filled and seasoned, fried so crispy. The fried tofu was done well and soaked up all that lovely sweet and sour fish sauce. Coconut shrimp were good, crispy outside but not dry inside. The Tom kha was outstanding with a deep flavor to the broth that wasn't too strongly coconut, lime, sweet, or fish sauce. The chunks of chicken and veggies were more reasonably sized than a lot of places. Then came the mains. Panang chicken with a savory sauce bordering a bit heavier on the peanut which is absolute perfection in my book. They take their spice levels seriously so if you're a borderline hot/medium like I am go for medium. The veggies were tender (and yay zucchini! I love zucchini and don't often see it in curries) and the meat both tender and plentiful while still having enough delicious curry sauce to soak into your rice. Dad had the basil stir fry which was the same quality ingredients with a different symphony of flavors. Service was attentive, portions were generous, and I'd even go back sans AC again! read more

I've ordered from here so many times. About 80% of the time everything is incredible. A few times, the noodles have been dry, lacking sauce, and overcooked, extra mushy. And, on another occasion I pulled a very long, about 7", black hair out of my Pad Thai. Gross, but I've ordered here enough to know it's just a mishap. I get that it happens. Nonetheless, their flavors are always great and the portions are large. I think their pricing is fairly reasonable. I came here based on the reviews and it didnr disappoint. I just wanted some good takeout pad Thai and I can tell you you'll love it here if you're a fan of the dish. If you've ever had it at a chain like Pei wei, bento, or even at a Chinese takeout(yes, This thai dish is often offered in a Americanized Chinese fast food place) then you'll immediately notice the deep umami and savory flavor there is. Every non Thai place I've ordered this from typically makes it very tangy. Maybe they over do it with the fish sauce or lime but this place gets it just right. And the owner is very nice . The only thing I wanna share, because I think it's funny, is that the takeout chop sticks are legitimately the cheapest wooden ones I've ever used . I'm not docking their points for this I just think it's funny because they feel hollow and splinter easily and I've had a lot of takeout chopsticks since I grew up with parents owning a takeout place. Mee Thai is a wonderful place for a group dinner. From the moment we walked in, our server made us feel so welcome--friendly, attentive, and an absolute joy. Everyone at our table of four enjoyed their meal. My husband and I shared the Massaman curry with tofu, which was rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. And the combo appetizers to go. 2nd disclaimer I have found over the years I am a "texture" person. While I loved the taste of the Pad Se Ew I didn't care for the texture of the noodles. Very small little restaurant on Lee Road. My acupuncturist recommended this place to me and I checked it out on the yelp reviews. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with some smiling faces and a couple non-smiling. The :-) is definitely over powered, so I was happy with that! The restaurant was very clean and you can tell that they take pride in it. We ordered the shrimp rolls with peanut sauce for an appetizer, we ordered medium panning curry and mild drunken noodles. For dessert, we got the mango sticky rice and my husband got the Thai iced tea. We thoroughly enjoyed every single dish and had so much leftover to bring home. I believe our bill was only about $38. This place was packed with tons of people coming in and out for pick up. There were not many people dining in but you can tell that the locals love this place because the phone was ringing nonstop. Very nice staff and the food was absolutely delicious! I wish I was closer to the house because I would do take out a lot more! This has definitely moved to the top of my favorite Thai restaurants! I stumbled upon this hidden gem, and I have to say, it's worth the trip! The authentic flavors here are incredible--the Penang curry is rich, aromatic, and bursting with spices that transport you straight to Thailand. The mango sticky rice is an absolute treat, with perfectly ripe mangoes and sticky rice that's both sweet and creamy. I really appreciate that their noodles are saucy here. A lot of other places have dry noodles, which is crazy to me. Let me preface this by saying that I usually don't like pad Thai at any restaurant. The only pad Thai I liked before was from Thai Delight in Longwood, but that restaurant is now closed (please take a moment of silence). However, I do like the pad Thai at this restaurant. (Well except for one time I ordered it and it was too sour and I had to throw it away but I moved on and forgave them). The pad Thai is even better when you take it home and heat it on in a pan until it gets a little toasty and crispy on parts of the noodles. You can even add things to make it to your liking. Don't eat in here during the hot summer days, their a/c doesn't work well and it is pretty hot inside. read more

Whether we are craving Asian cuisine or don't know what to get for dinner, this always hits the spot. It doesn't look like much on the outside or quite frankly on the inside either, but who cares what it looks like when the food is this good! Our service has always been great, as well. We have tried so many different dishes but always end up coming back for the Drunken Noodles, Pad Thai, Cheese Rolls, and Fresh Rolls. Think of the Cheese Rolls like a crab Rangoon but without the crab. The shape of the rolls make them much yummier and easier to eat than a traditional Rangoon too. Also, their peanut sauce that comes with the Fresh Rolls is so delicious that you'll want to put it on EVERYTHING! My first time here and I WILL be back! You first get a little salad while you are looking at the menu. At first glance, I thought it was just a little plain salad. But the dressing was very delicious and unusual. It was so good. That's when I knew the rest would be fantastic too! We ordered the chicken green curry and it was fantastic! The food was super tasty the only downside was that my noodles had hardened in place of the tuberware so they weren't loose like noodles usually are. I could have cut through like a lasagna. Don't let the outside of this place deter you as it may not look like much on initial appearance. I was in Thailand in 2016 and my memories are filled with delicious eats at super reasonable prices. I was hoping for the same here and this place did not disappoint. My partner opted for the pad see ew and I chose the panang curry. The noodles in the pad see ew were perfectly chewy and the flavor was savory and sweet at the same time, just what you'd expect from this dish. I chose medium spice for the panang curry and they definitely do not mess around with their spice. Most Thai restaurants have regular spice options and then Thai hot, and even this medium spice was hot. Even though I'm a sucker for spicy food I think I'd choose mild next time so spice lovers beware. I have to take 1 star off as we went during lunch time so we expected to be served the lunch portions of both dishes. When we got the bill, we were charged dinner portions and asked about it, and they told us that when someone doesn't specify lunch or dinner, they default to dinner portion even if one comes during lunch time. I felt this was slightly misleading, but next time I'll clarify I want the lunch portion/price. Regardless, the food was outstanding and at very reasonable price point. read more

Really great Thai food! The people are so kind and welcoming. We were looking for a quick bite and found this gem. We called in the order and then decided to eat in because we got there so fast. They were very accommodating and the food portions were great! My husband got the pad garlic and I got the yellow curry. Both came with rice. His was full of chicken and veggies and lots of sauce (I'm a saucy lady so I liked that). Mine has the usual veggies and chicken but I found their sauce a little sweeter which I really enjoyed. I took half home for the next day. I look forward to going back next time we are over on that side of town! So I've only been to Mee Thai once, today for lunch. First off, the menu was terrific. I tried to order something I've never had and that my dining partner (who is a regular here) said was good. But I do love a red curry and I found myself ordering the red curry crispy duck. My family loves duck more than I do, normally, so I was a bit surprised at my own order. However--this was the best duck I have ever had in any restaraunt. Perfectly cooked (nice and moist), lovely red curry, and nice big pieces of broccoli and carrot. Excellent meal and I'm going back very soon. While I am a huge fan of some other Thai restaraunts in Orlando, it's possible that this is my new fave--I'll keep you posted.
