I've been a loyal Meest customer for over 3 years, but this recent experience was extremely disappointing. I shipped an air package (tracking CV821430206US) on April 8, 2025, after a Meest representative assured me it would be delivered on time within 2 weeks. Instead, it arrived on May 19 - over a month late. According to the New York office, the original container arrived in Ukraine on April 17, 2025. However, there was an attempted theft involving 26-28 packages, including mine. My package was eventually found and only shipped nearly a month later, causing a huge delay. The package contained valuable personal items and a birthday gift, and the delay completely ruined the timing and meaning of the delivery. During the delay, I contacted Meest customer service multiple times. I was told the package was lost and under investigation, but LA office gave conflicting updates - one day it was found, the next day no one knew where it was. Promises of callbacks were never kept. I submitted several claims and emails, all ignored. I had to track the shipment myself with no real help. I also sent a formal complaint requesting a refund or discount, giving them 7 business days to respond, but I received no reply at all-not even an acknowledgment. To this day, Meest has offered no refund, no discount, and no apology for the delay, the poor communication, or the ruined delivery. If you're planning to send gifts or valuable items, please be very careful. I sent a package to my parents in the UK using Meest, and honestly it went pretty smooth. My mom had been asking me for a while to send her a few things from the US some vitamins, warm socks, and a few Ukrainian books she can't find there. The staff at the Meest office helped me fill out the customs form (I got a bit confused about what category to put some stuff in, lol). They told me it would take about 10 days, but it actually arrived in 8, which was a nice surprise. My parents were so happy my dad especially, since I snuck in his favorite sunflower seeds from a Ukrainian store nearby. He said he's not sharing with anyone Only thing I didn't liked was that the box was a little squished on one corner when it got there, but everything inside was fine, nothing broken. I would not recommend to use this company for a number of reasons: abrupt and, at times, rude customer service, unreliable information regarding package tracking and STOLEN items from the parcel. Weight of parcel at the time of shipping was 43 lb , received 27 lb. package year later. Moreover, someone's used clothes and worn shoes of various sizes were placed instead of stolen brand new women's shoes (size 11) and brand new clothing. Total of 5 pairs replaced with worn shoes. Fishing gear and supplies are missing. it took numbers of days and many calls to get hold of someone in the department as we were trying to report our case. Do not have big hopes as no one seemed to be interested to hear that. The only recommendation I got is to file a claim through their website. read more

I used Meest several times for delivery from Los Angeles to Moscow, Russia, and they was always in time (approximately 1 month delivery window with sea transport) and very reasonably priced. But last time I used them (July 2020) I've sent two parcels, and unfortunately one parcel was not delivered in time, it's still sits in some warehouse in Germany since September and Meest representatives cannot solve this issue, they are not working with me. I will not recommend to use this company. They are not reliable. I have sent two packages in January and February. I have paid $280. The packages have not been delivered and Meest doesn't have ability to return packages back to shipper. I was told that company can redirect my packages to different country and I agreed and provided new address in Kazakhsta. It was not true, the management lied to me. Plus, customer service is being rude to me now. I have been loyal Meest customer for almost 20 years. I am not deserve to be treated like this. I have learned my lesson hard way. I sent two large parcels on the plane at the same time, with a delay one arrived in Kyiv, torn, wet, as if one had stood for a week under a thunderstorm, when someone poured water inside. all the things became moldy and it was necessary to squeeze the water out of them, in general the things were gone. and the second parcel remained standing in Lvov, at customs, probably drying... BUYER BEWARE when there are only one star, and five star ratings. The bottom line is I flew a package from Seattle to Lviv Ukraine and it took 18 days. I came to Ukraine to volunteer and I shipped two packages with my own battlefield gear more than two months ahead, but after 10 weeks they still haven't entered any tracking information into the system so I have no idea where they are, or if they will arrive. (If you call or try to use Meest tracking, or talk to the online assistant that pops up you will find out that they are in New Jersey, and they will tell you that they have no information on anything leaving from the west coast). Once I sent to Moscow, it took very long time AND , even though I paid for delivery to recipient, the package was delivered to POST OFFICE in Moscow. How could it happen? Worst service ever. The company representative in San José Yelena was so rude and unprofessional. After I asked her some questions about sending a package to another country she started to criticise me that I hadn't sent packages before because people in Russia and Ukraine live very poor and I don't support them. Stay away from this company, send by USPS (it will cost a little more, but less of a headache) We sent a package to Kyiv on 10/16/2023 by express airamail from St Louis. A package arrived at the destination in Kyiv, but it was not our package. Someone at the Meest office put the wrong Customs sticker with address on the wrong package. The package our friend received was supposed to go to southern Ukrain by ocean, and it arrived in Kyiv by airmail, while our package was no where to be found. We called the office, spoke to probably the rudest person alive, and sent emails with photos of the packages and mixed up stickers. they said that they would contact us, never did, never replied to the emails. What they DID do , is call the receiver in Ukraine and threaten her with harm if she did not return the package that was sent to her, she told them that when she receives her package, they can have the other one back (becuase they never replied to our concerns and never replied to insurance or compensation questions) The person in Kyiv received no less then 10 threatening calls, and my wife received one here in St Louis, but when I called them after that phone call, they denied everything. In the end, our friend received the proper parcel on 12/27/2023, they did not communicate anything to us. We did give the other parcel back as well. I reported them to the BBB and if you go on the offical BBB site, you will see that this company has a straigh 1 star rating with a lot of complaints. I have been using this MEEST location in Glendale, CA for 2 years now. I send a package through the office at least once per month. They have never lost, damaged or delayed shipment on more than 30 packages I have sent through their company. The reason for 5 stars: 1) The office staff is so friendly, they always help me quickly. They even have offered to help me tape the package better when I ran out of packing tape. They are friendly and they always work hard and they recently started shipping to Belarus every week. 2) The prices are significantly lower than ANY other service. I have used USPS, UPS, and FEDEX before and they take longer and are about double the price of MEEST. 3) They do not play this game with Customs where you have to clear Customs through a 3rd party agent and pay extra money (FEDEX is the worst at this - they won't even deliver the package to the destination0the recipient has drive to Minsk to pay fees and go through Customs at the airport). 4) The shipping (I use air freight) is fast and reliable. They ship from California to Belarus (my family is from a small city near Ukraine) and it has never taken more than 3 weeks door-to-door.
