We really enjoyed the peach green tea and the peach shave ice because it was refreshing on a hot summer day. The tea is not very sweet and the peach shave ice was delicious. The dessert and drink came out fast and the place was clean.

I can see how this place gets hectic during a rush. We came a little after opening and there weren't any other customers inside. The workers seemed to be working on their online orders, so couldn't really be bothered to greet us. Luckily, there are kiosks are there for you to order (which we did). Desserts here are classic. We love Meet Fresh because it is usually consistent (can't really mess it up). We usually get the Icy Grass Jelly Signature (with extra half & half), Oolong milk tea, and mango green tea. Cold desserts are so refreshing on a hot day. They also have warm versions of these desserts which are so comforting on a cold day. Plenty of seating inside and they have some seating on the outside.

I came here to pick up the signature Red Bean soup (4/5) which comes with two big scoops of taro, tanyuan (sesame filled mochi balls), sweet potato mochi, red bean, and boba all in a warm, sweetened red bean soup! I really enjoyed the toppings in this one with the tanyuan being filled with sweetened black sesame, the taro being lightly sweetened that went so well with the red bean soup, and the boba and sweet potato mochi consistency was so bouncy. I do wish they gave more of the sweet potato mochi balls or more of the mochi balls but the regular serving at $10/11 is a nice size for one person if hungry or two if just for dessert. Mine came out only warm and wish it was hotter but I just reheated it back at home. They do NOT update their in progress and ready numbers on the screen much lol so watch out for it being called by looking at your receipt number.

The pudding and q mochi milk shaved ice was lacking in flavor and seemed pretty gimmicky. It comes with a lot of elements like puddings and mochi and jelly, but it is all tasteless. The texture of the shaved ice is also way too hard, it's not soft like at other places. Not worth the $15 and the service was not good

I always love coming to Meet Fresh after eating in the Diamond Jamboree plaza for dessert. The store is spacious with plenty of seating. Even on a Tuesday night there was a lot of people eating here. We ordered the crystal mochi milk shaved ice which came out fast and was delicious and big enough for us to share amongst 4 girls. We were waiting on our hot items that we ordered - Hot Grass Jelly combo and Bubble waffle. We were waiting for almost 30 min and we never saw our number move out of the In Progress to Ready on the digital board. The staff wasn't calling out numbers either and where we were sitting we were far from their serving area. When we finally went to check up on our order, apparently it's been sitting out there for a long time and our hot items already cooled down. We asked for them to reheat our bubble waffle so at least it's warm. I think the staff wasn't updating any of the orders that it's ready on the board bc all the parties around us had to go check on their order. The food is still consistent but all the customers can only count on that order board to get our order. It was disappointing we were waiting around for a long time not knowing our food was already ready and it got cold sitting out there.

After my lobster dinner, stopped by this Meet Fresh location on the way home for a dessert. Same as the other location in Tustin, service was very slow even though they have five (5) associates working behind the counter and making dessert I stood there for a long time and no one even acknowledged my presence nor asked me what I needed, or how they can help me. I realized that they have a self-order kiosk but someone has been on it forever doing his orders for a table of four. I finally had to ask out loud to get their attention if I can order. The dessert wasn't cheap but it was very good. The place however, was not clean, tables were sticky with foods and crumbs leftover from previous customers and no one wipes them down.

Luv a good meet fresh. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Inside seating available. First time trying the taro it was plump, chewy and filling. Grass jelly was refreshing! Wish there was a little more of the crushed ice to balance everything but still enjoyed chewing and chewing. If you're not a fan of boba or mochi texture this may not be your thing. I'd recommend trying the shaved ice!

After seeing the restroom I refused to eat here. Keep in mind that the employees making the food use that restroom too and it's disgusting!!! There are puddles on the floor (fall hazard AND sanitation violation). The door and walls are black with dirt. The whole restroom smells like wet dog and is humid. It looks like the trash can has never been cleaned. The sink inside the restroom is gross, but there is another sink just outside the restroom door. The water in that sink gets scalding hot and literally almost burned me. I don't know how this place hasn't been shut down. Eat at your own risk here! See video and pictures. Appalling.

So many options! I recommend going when they are not too busy. Most of the time I always see a lot of others here. But I came in the afternoon to get their red bean soup. Will need to come back to try other items

It seems like they changed their menu recently as they don't have as many shaved ice bowls as they used to. I also noticed that the grass jelly bowl doesn't include a lot of the toppings it formerly did and I had to pay extra for the melon jelly which used to automatically come with the item (I believe it also used to come with boba, but I didn't pay extra for that this time). I think I prefer more variety with less of each item than giving more of the glutenous rice cubes.

This chain is known for more traditional Taiwanese shaved ice and chewy balls. We ordered the signature icy taro ball, which was a good amount for two people. I think this type of Taiwanese shaved ice is meant to be more on the light side, I prefer sweeter desserts. I wish they gave more of the creamer, I think we age it all very early and the bottom portion of the bowl did not have any. I would definitely get one of the bigger shaved ices since they have more flavor, but the portion size is pretty big. Diamond jamboree is busy as always and parking will be hard, but this store wasn't too crowded on a Wednesday evening. There was plenty of seating, though the tables did not seem like they were regularly cleaned.

With the temperature hitting the 80s, we stopped by Meet Fresh for some shaved ice. The store is huge for a dessert shop with seating for 60+ people. Orders can be placed through 2 in-store digital panels or at the counter. Each order comes with customizations such as how much sugar and ice, plus you can also add extra toppings like rice ball, taro, jelly and boba at additional charges. Adding toppings can be fun, but the cost will add up quite quickly. We ordered the following: Icy Taro Ball Signature with 1/2 Sugar: The shaved ice was smooth, and all toppings were fresh and delicious. The reduced sugar option was perfect, refreshing without being overly sweet. Cold Tofu with Boba and Rice Balls: Tofu was silky soft and the rice balls and boba had a very nice texture. The downside: 30 minutes wait to get the orders when the store was not busy. Hopefully it was one those rare short staffed days.

I love this little Taiwanese dessert spot! I took my family from Hawaii here and they loved it. Not too sweet and not too bland, just perfect. I always get the Meet Fresh Signature with extra creamer that they give you on the side. The herbal ice with the grass jelly is so delicious and refreshing. I am not the fan of the taro balls and whatever the other one is... It's too doughy and thick. I asked for boba on top of my Meet Fresh Signature and they forgot.. But it's okay. The line was sooooo long for like, 2 hrs. So I let it go I also got the Red Bean Shaved Ice and it was whatever.. Nothing special. I'll stick to the Meet Fresh Signature with boba! The only reason why I took a star off is because they need more workers. The tables are always stacked with plates because nobody ever cleans up after the people that leave them there.. And I only see like 4 people in the back making the dishes? I think if they got more workers, things would work out a lot faster and easier read more

The management must have listened to customers' complaints and fired the rude worker in the front. The new person is great! She was very friendly, sweet, and polite. Her name is Leanne from Beijing but has no Beijing accent! The quality and taste of Herbal Jelly are still great, fresh and not too sweet! I also appreciate that they use paper containers for take-out orders. So, I am changing my 2/8/2015 review, and give it a 4-stars. read more

Meet Fresh is one of my favorite dessert place! I recommend coming here on the weekdays to avoid having to driving around for awhile to find a parking spot. I always get the cold Meet Fresh Signature bowl with extra creamer. The extra creamer does make a difference, so pay the extra few cents for it. Everyone in my party enjoyed our order, so we decided to get another serving. Everything in the bowl blended well together and it was refreshing to eat on a hot day. The herbal jelly unlike other places was dense and rich in flavor and I personally like the subtle flavor of the taro balls. lol read more

My wife and I like that the desserts are not too sweet. The milk tea was very delicious. Food here is good. Not a typical boba place, as it has a different taste than what I expected. Everytime I come here, the lines are long. Be sure to wait. Also parking is horrible, but most of the restaurants here are worth it. I would definitely come back here, maybe on not so crowded of a night. read more

Ordered this to be delivered through door dash and I have to say I was quite impressed! I've never had Taiwanese dessert before so I don't have anything to compare it to but I thought it was very refreshing and yummy! The taro balls have a mochi like texture and a light flavor. I really enjoyed the herbal jelly it's kinda like tea in jelly form?? Though my boyfriend tried mine and said it tasted like cigarettes lol! Anyways I would definitely get this again the only thing I didn't like however were the peanuts... I was expecting like ground hard peanuts but they were soaked and very soft and unappetizing to me but now I know to go without next time. read more

It was okay. I ordered the meet fresh special and it came with shaved ice, herbal jelly, Mochi and red beans. It's not sweet at all--a bit flavorless. The Mochi was really delicious, fresh and chewy. I also ordered the taro milk tea. The taro was really sweet and extremely thick. We ended up not drinking it at all. The visit wasn't memorable. Some people like it and some people don't. awesome place love it here but it sorta smells in here but good boba and food. The decor was nice and the waiters were friendly with fast service. The only con was that when i ordered jasmine milk tea with boba the boba look weird and it tasted sticky afterward i had a tummy ache. read more

I practically go here every week! I normally get the Meet Fresh Signature with small taro balls (instead of the large ones) because it's really refreshing and delicious. Make sure to use the cream that they give you! It ties all the flavors together and makes the dessert bomb! read more

It is pretty new to CA, there's no other places like Meet Fresh. Although, Meet Fresh is pretty pricey for a small portion. Their service is kind of slow. They never have their noodle jelly, that's the main point of going there. read more

Stopped by here on my way home from Torrance. I met up with an Chinese friend of mine to have dessert and she choose this place in Irvine. Seems clean. The place is buzzing with people. Im not a huge fan of boba but their taro balls are pretty good. If it wasn't for the wait I would give it a 5 star read more

I like their dessert. But recently I found that they put less ingredients than before. The hot purple rice with taro balls only had a few taro balls, and there wasn't much purple rice and red bean in the soup so the soup is very "thin". It's very disappointing. I hope they stop trying to cheat on the ingredients. read more

My sister love the place. She took me twice to that place. It really takes sometime to order since the place is very popular, especially on weekend nights, BUT it is okay since you need spend that time decided which one you would like. They offer a lot!!! Also, hot/ cold available. You can have it as dessert or even as a meal. No problem~ Price very fair. ($7 almost) Enjoy~ read more

I had to wait for literally 45 minutes for a milk tea and a mochi because they lost my order ticket. They didn't even apologize when they found out. Instead they told me that they would make it right away and proceeded to forget my order again and make me wait another ten minutes until I walked up to check on my order for a second time. I love this place in Taiwan. Even though they've closed a lot of their shops in Taiwan (and inconveniently, the one right next to my grandma's house) I try to get it wherever I see it...shoved in between my diet of stinky tofy, boba and shaved ice. To my surprised, they opened one here! Not too too far from me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was sooooooooooo excited. But I have to say, this plaza sucks balls. Parking is horrible, always so crowded, people don't know how to drive, it's a mess. I hate coming here. The first time I tried last week, it was a Saturday night and there was a line out the door. Besides the fact that hubby cursed his way in and on the way out. People just love to stop in the middle of the lot and let their whole van of people out. So rude. Anyways, I had a chance to go back last friday, at 130 PM hoping it wasn't as crowded. The place wasn't, but of course the plaza still was. I managed to find a parking spot and get in and ordered my grass jelly with taro balls and rice balls MMMMMMMMMMMM. This place is definitely 3x more expensive than Taiwan. But then again we are in the US, where breakfast is not $3.00. Oh the anticipation. omg. You can't find this stuff anywhere else. Seriously. Maybe to Americans, it's a bit weird and icky, but to me, it is pure bliss. HEAVEN. read more

Very disappointed! I'm from Houston TX, and we didn't have this dessert shop in my town. My friend introduced me the signature bowl that he can eat every day. Therefore, when I visited this place from my trip to California on May 2017, I headed right away to order the signature bowl. It was so blank that I did not wanna finish my bowl. Also, it costed $6.50, but I have to leave all my bowl because of the blank taste. I won't recommend this place to anyone else. read more

I can't not believe the hype and how busy this place is. The taro balls are not even made out of taro completely it's starch and taro. We ordered the taro ball tofu pudding and extra sweet potato. We were surprise to see that it was mostly sugar water for $7. Very little tofu and taro ball floating around. 2 pieces of sweet potato for an extra dollar. Very disappointed in the dessert and will not be returning. read more

We arrived at 9pm on a Saturday. The line was out the door and it took about 25 minutes to get in and place our to go order: their signature shaved ice and the mochi. There was no available seating and the AC wasn't on so we had to stand in the heat and wait for our order, which took an additional 30 minutes to complete. The shaved ice was a complete disappointment.... as others have stated, there is very little ice and the toppings were not flavorful or distinct from other shaved ice places. The mochi was also bland and not memorable. We concluded that this place is over hyped, over priced, and incredibly inefficient. We will not be returning. read more

Not my favorite boba and not the worst either. Meet Fresh apparently has legit Taiwanese dessert place that features mainly taro balls, mango balls, red beans, and the like. For those who absolutely love this type of food then yes I would maybe recommend it. However, I mainly stopped here for the boba and got the black milk tea with boba. Upon first look at the prices, $4 is a bit steep and I am expecting a lot for my $4 boba... Alas, drinks finally came out and I can tell you that my drink didn't come with any sweetener (yes i like my sweets)! Luckily, the people behind the counter were friendly enough to add a bit of sweetener without any hesitancy and I was left with a slightly better milk tea than before. Not sure if the drink was really $4, I would probably not come back unless I was craving this type of milk tea. Consistency of boba balls were just right, the milk tea is more on the tea-er side than creamy. If you're looking for a creamier milk tea or boba drink than this place might not suit you. Overall not a bad establishment, parking can be kind of annoying. read more

Their service is horrible!!!!!!! We came order 5 items and received ours after 30 mins. Wtf?? All people after us got their item only 5 mins. We ask two waiters where our stuffs? They said we order too much so we need to wait after everybody receive theirs. What a terrible explanation??!!! Never go this place. read more

We were looking to order a few drinks and desserts and so we decided to get in the self-order line. After each time my friends finished ordering. the guy behind the counter would tell us to stop and tell him the order and not let us start a new order until he was ready, slowing everything down. We didn't know what was going on at first since he had poor communication skills but he did this EVERY TIME. To top it off, my friend wanted to order 2 drinks, but those drinks were nowhere to be found on the machine. The worker there was clueless and started looking at the machine to make sure we didn't miss it. He then realizes that the drinks were too new and told us "sorry" and said we have to get in the other line to order instead of taking our order since we had been waiting a while already. Of course, that line was outside the door. I'm also not sure why there was only one person taking orders when the lines were super long. After we got our orders, I realized that it wasn't worth all the wait and lousy customer service. Their desserts are pretty but that's all there is to it. I'm definitely not coming back here. You can get a lot more for your money at other places and not have to deal with poor customer service and long lines. read more

First I must say this place is pretty authentic so it might not be fond of people who are used to the tea and shaved ice in the US. For those of you that haven't tried Taro, it's either love or hate it. Red bean here is freshly cooked unlike some other places tastes like from a can. No fruits here, beans, vegetables(sweet potatoes, taro, taro balls,taro rice balls), and chewy stuff. You can customize your own taro ball series and herbal jelly series, no more than 5 toppings now I heard. can sub boba to something else. what else... I am not a fan of rice balls and sesame rice balls...I just don't like the taste. and sesame rice balls normally take ten mins to cook...if they are broken, the kitchen cooks it again. so it might take longer time. Staff: many new faces, so desserts can actually take longer to be done. Drinks: traditional G-milk tea, herbal tea with cream, winter melon tea with herbal jelly, hot black tea , taro slush without the cream. I dislike fruit tea no4 so sour xD Hot: hot herbal jelly no 6...sub crystal jelly to small taro balls or taro rice balls haha, purple rice porridge with crystal jelly and taro rice balls. I just love taro rice balls xD Tofu Pudding: Peanut tofu pudding is always my favorite. In the Spring of 2008, I visited Taiwan and gained something like 8 lbs. in a span of 1 month. I ate everything with the mentality that I probably will not have it again for a very long time. Meet Fresh was the main culprit for my weight gain besides my own lack of self-control. With that said, I was very intrigued and interested when a co-worker told me that Meet Fresh had opened a location in Irvine. Fast forward to Meet Fresh Irvine 2017 and my experience was nothing that could lead to a weight gain. This place has so much potential yet it fails miserably at delivering a good product. I ordered their Hot Herbal Grass Jelly with red beans, taro, and their signature rice balls. For $1 extra, I also added their sweet potato rice balls filled with taro paste filling. It cost me nearly $9 for my order. My hot grass jelly came to me lukewarm. The taro rice ball with taro filling was practically cold. This kind of dish is really not good if it's lukewarm. Moreover, the taro pieces were so nasty I couldn't finish it and I looovve taro. I brought the taro pieces home hoping the raccoons and possums in my yard would eat it since those guys eat everything. Even the raccoons and possums rejected the taro from here. Me and my friends were here today and I ordered a melon tea with small toro ball ($4.5), it was way way too sweet for me and toro ball was kind of hard, so I kindly ask them to make it less sweet for me which they did, but it was still too sweet and water down for me, so I ask if I can pay the difference and get something else, surprisingly they won't let me, they keep on offering me to make it less sweeten only, at this time, I don't want to make a scent so I just ask them to put it in a to-go cup for me, which I discard when I walk out their door. (I only drink total 2 sip) It was just a poor customer service management skill that throw me off today, I wish they will handle things like this better next time. read more

Possibly the most disappointing dessert I've eaten. The first impression I had was already a deceiving one. I thought I was lining up for sushi. It must have been the lanterns that were hung up that resembled majority of the sushi joints we've seen. The menu and pictures looked delicious and I was honestly looking forward to the taro and sweet potato mochi balls. When we finally got to taste what we ordered after what felt like an hour of wait time, everything ordered was bland. The mochi's texture was decent but there was absolutely no flavor - except from the sweetness from the brown sugar. Food: Delicious, refreshing icy herbal. The Icy Grass Jelly No.6 is my favorite. I usually order it and add on extra jelly, taro balls. Each add on is only around $0.50 ~ $1. The herbal shaved ice is always interesting to enjoy. It'll bring a good refreshing coldness to your mouth at first, then followed by a slight bitterness from herbal, and sweetness from rock sugar (I think). I came here on Wednesday night and ordered 2 of Signature Icy bowls, one for dine in and one for togo. I really enjoyed the bowl for dine in and was looking forward to enjoy the other one at home. But I was disappointed when I opened this, the shaved ice was too little, not even half of the other one I had at store, even though I paid the same amount of money! This wasn't the first time, nor the second, it was the third time already. I recently ordered peanut butter ice cream here and noticed that the price on the menu board was listed as $0.99, but I was charged $1.25 at checkout. When I asked the cashier about the discrepancy, they simply replied, 'Ma'am, you HAVE TO pay tax.' I was charged an unusually high 26% tax(?) on the item, followed by an additional 7.75% tax at checkout based on his explanation. The confusion could have been easily clarified with a better explanation, but the cashier was impatient and didn't offer any helpful details. Got to stop in for their soft opening this week as they are still getting the store ready for a grand opening soon, and absolutely loved the desserts! We had a chance to try the MeetFresh Signature which had Purple Taro Balls and Sweet Potato Taro Balls on herbal jelly and shaved ice. Amazing. We also had their Q Mochi with caramel and coconut flakes that was probably the best mochi I have ever had, and an iced herbal tea with mini taro balls and whipped cream that was spectacular. I actually wanted no Boba since I was full from my meal, but the black sugar came only with the boba part so I had to get it as it was advertised. Still delicous. First time we ordered a meet fresh signature, It doesn't look like the one on the menu. We didn't ask why but the server seems noticed our confuse and come explained. The one we want on the menu is the cold one, but we don't know so we ordered the warm one. We got a cold one for free after he explained, and it taste yummy! We used to love this place and lately the service here has been shitty. I guess the cashier "Paulina" is in a bad mood today. She was rude when she's getting our orders then refuse to give cream with our order. They wanted to charge a quarter for each cream that is supposed to come with the dessert. One of my friends took me here for the first time. I ordered the cold meet fresh signature and as delighted. It was very good. I'm not sure about the authenticity as some of these reviews state as I am not Taiwanese by any means. But I can say I thoroughly enjoyed the dessert and it was quite refreshing. Wow amazing customer service! Good and fresh ingredients! I went in to order 4 different desserts and one item was completely wrong. I really liked the spicy oil they use, it has a nutty tone to it. Finally, the mango carriage dessert. This is still consistently the best shaved ice! The portion is still huge. And I like that they did not skimp on the panna cotta swirls between the layers of the mango shaved ice.
