SO happy they opened a heytea in utc hehe! It's literally so dangerous how close it is to school... I will always hype up the kale boost tea. I know it sounds way too healthy, but don't knock it till you try it because it's amazing. Perfectly refreshing, light, yet satisfies the sweet tooth! The yuzu oolong was solid too, but wish it was a little less sweet! King jasmine guava is so amazing. I love the combination of jasmine and guava, I could taste both really well. Store is decorated nicely and very cool interior. There is some seating!

Aug. 2026, wrappers everywhere, tables weren't clean, wrappers on the counter too

Stopped by on a Sunday, I don't know what it was but the store smelled like a bathroom as soon as we walked in. And noticeably the ground, the tables and counter were dirty, wrappers everywhere. Honestly, I do not understand the hype, we had the Grapefruit Mango and it was good, but not worth the 20 minutes that we waited for it.

Packed on weekends, so I recommend ordering on the app to beat the line. However, if they're too busy, they'll suspend app orders until they're less crowded. I tried their Supreme Matcha Latte in my quest for the best matcha latte. I ordered it with extra matcha and added boba. The drink had a beautiful dark green color. The matcha flavor was strong and well-balanced. The only downside is that they don't offer non-dairy milk alternatives. But overall, the flavor was pretty good. The drink was very creamy and had a lot of air whipped into it. They also add a Cheese Cloud topping to their drinks, including this one. It's cheesy, creamy, and foamy, but I'm not a fan of cheese on my drinks. It makes the drink more foamy and airy, and I don't like the cheese flavor, which is definitely noticeable. If you can get a seat, the stone interior is cute.

We came on a Saturday late afternoon, there wasn't much of a line when getting there but it still took over half an hour to get our drinks, which they did warn us about. I got one of their new drinks the King Jasmine Guava. Unfortunately, I did not really like this, it taste quite bland and the flavor got dull/boring really quick. It wasn't too sweet, and had a bit of tartness to it but a semi weird aftertaste. It did have a nice floral taste to it but I couldn't really taste the jasmine tea or guava, so it felt more like a weird blend of flavors instead.

Tucked by the food courts lives the best tea shop at UTC mall. This has been my favorite HeyTea yet. I'm not sure if it's because they made my order so quickly. I made my preorder when I was the kids playground and by the time I walked over to heytea, it was ready! I think the other reason I love this spot is that it's the only HeyTea that has seating INSIDE! I'm looking forward to grabbing a drink and catching up with a friend here. Even if you can't find a spot to sit inside, it's close by the fountains and food court so no sweat. Great location pickup HeyTea!

Tutti frutti boba final boss. Try not to see someone you know in line challenge impossible. This the type of boba spot where all the drinks have names that sound like Harry Potter spells and saying them out loud to order is genuinely a humiliation ritual. Not bad, the drinks are pretty good. Shoutout the mango wombo combo supercalifragilisticexpeditious boom.

I've been wanting to try this place the moment I walked past it at UTC. The minimalist interior design was simple, yet so lovely and appealing. The space resembled a tea house, but with its own unique elegance that I quickly fell in love with. What we tried: Cloud Longjing Milk Tea - 4/5 Cloud Matcha Latte - 3.5/5 It's okay... I guess I just had better tea drinks at this point. I really enjoyed the Cloud Longjing Milk Tea, but I feel like the matcha cloud and Viennese cream was a bit too much. I guess I'll just get the simpler version of it next time because I absolutely loved the flavor and aroma of the Longjing tea. I think it's also beyond adorable that you can customize a sticker for your drink--I feel like it makes your cup just a little more special. I have also seen a lot of reviews recommending to put your order online through their app and it was the best advice ever! It made getting our order such a breeze. We went on a Thursday midday, and there were still 30+ drinks ahead of us when we put our order in. It was INSANE! So yes, if you don't want the hassle of waiting 30-40 minutes for your drink, just order through their app. I'm not counting them out just yet. I'm definitely going back, but I think I'll try the Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea and Coconut Mango Boom next time. I've seen so many people order it and I'm very curious about those after trying the ones we have.

I finally was able to come. And I was happy that the line was not so long. They said it was gonna be about a 25 minute wait for my two drinks. That was fine since I'm already here but I think it finished pretty fast actually. The interior is so cute. But it kind of reminds me of Kim Kardashian's house. They had plenty of options. I wasn't sure what to get. Both drinks I got for 75 %sweetness. The first one was the popular mango smoothie thing. That was good and refreshing. It's not something I would normally get and I don't think it was so amazing but it was good. The second drink was the jasmine cloud. The cloud was very tasty and pretty. And the jasmine green tea was good as well, but it was not anything that stood out to me. I'm glad I tried it, but I don't think I'll be back here. But then again it is, I think one of the better tea spots utc now. I did notice they had a QR on the outside of the store on the window, where you can order ahead. I did try to do that, but it didn't seem like I could take the picture because it's on the glass and you can see through the store behind it. So I think it kind of defeats the purpose that should probably be fixed. Staff were amazing tho

There was so much hype around Heytea coming to San Diego, so I finally decided to try it once there wasn't a line out the door. Cloud Matcha Latte (8/10): The matcha itself was really good, I just wish the cloud top was a little thicker. Cloud Mango (9/10): Super refreshing with a strong mango flavor that didn't taste artificial at all. Even though the shop wasn't busy, we were told the drinks would take about 20 minutes, which felt a little odd. We didn't mind waiting, but it seemed longer than expected for how empty it was. The worker taking our order also seemed unfamiliar with the menu, maybe new to the register or still learning. Overall, the drinks were solid, but the service experience felt a bit off.

Stopped by HeyTea with a friend after seeing it all over Instagram and honestly the hype is real! We showed up to a line out the door which pretty much told us everything we needed to know about how popular this spot is. The space is pretty small inside with limited seating so don't expect to hang around for too long. Also a heads up for my fellow matcha lovers, they don't offer non-dairy milk options which was a little disappointing for me. I ended up going with the Coconut Mango Bobo instead. The wait was about 45 minutes but they give you a barcode on your receipt to track your order so my friend and I just walked around and did a little shopping nearby. Pretty convenient honestly! When I finally got to pick up and try my drink, it was worth the wait! It was super refreshing with real ripe mango pieces and the boba was on point too. It felt like drinking a dessert in the best way possible. Would definitely come back, just maybe on a less busy day!

Love Heytea! Especially triple matcha. But this time ordered regular Cloud Matcha and Guava Green grape drinks. Usually there is long wait, aprx 15-25, but today it was only 5-8 minutes. HeyTea located in the middle of UTC and near the food court, next to Starbucks

This Heytea location is kind of a letdown. It was busy and online ordering was down. We waited 25 mins for our drinks. The drinks aren't consistent with other locations. What really ruined it for me was that the sweetness was totally off. It wasn't sweet at all. One of us ordered extra sweet and it was so watered down. On top of that, the sago was undercooked and literally felt frozen and hard. The staff needs to pay more attention to the recipes and proportions because this was a pretty bad experience.

Drinks i got two of the most popular items: cloud green grape and coconut mango boom. the cloud green grape had a fresh fruit taste to it and was refreshing. it also had bits of grape in it! my favorite was the coconut mango boom. i love coconut and i love mango so the combination of the two flavors + the toppings such as mango chunks and sago. it was such a filling and loaded drink and was more of a dessert but so good! Service: standard tea spot service where you order at the front and wait for your number to be ready. this spot does take long due to the number of drinks ordered. it took us around 40min for our drink to be ready but just strolled the mall to pass time Ambiance: very cute and small tea spot with unique and cute little seating but it's limited. a lot of people grab and go. gives off warm vibes inside

THE POKE CO @ MIRA MESA…read more Parking is available right out front, which was definitely convenient. This was my first time trying The Poke Co. I ordered through DoorDash for pickup, and my boyfriend and I went in to grab our bowls. The restaurant itself has plenty of seating inside, and the staff initially seemed pretty friendly. I've been to another location around Point Loma before, so I had a general idea of what to expect. I will say that this place is definitely on the more expensive side for poke, especially considering the overall experience. I also wasn't able to order seaweed salad, which I'm not sure if it's normally on their menu, but it wasn't available as an option through DoorDash. Unfortunately, the biggest issue came after we brought our food home. There was an actual fly crawling around the crispy onions in my bowl. I immediately took a video as proof and brought it back to the restaurant. My boyfriend went in to handle the situation, and the staff initially didn't seem to believe that there was actually a fly in the food until he showed them the video. They did remake our bowl, which I appreciated, but the interaction afterward felt much less friendly than when we first arrived. We also didn't receive a refund through DoorDash, which was disappointing. On top of that, I felt like the fish was a little warmer and softer than I would have preferred for something that's supposed to be fresh. Overall, the food itself was decent, and it's a convenient option if you're in the Mira Mesa area and want to try poke. However, between the price, the food quality, and especially finding a fly in my bowl, I personally don't think I'd be coming back.
