    Seafood boil

I've been here a couple times and the server was really nice. Food is great and prices are fair the only thing is the snow crab didn't have much meat. Place is nice and clean as well.

I love comming here for the lunch special on Tuesday to Friday from 11am to 3pm. Their sushi rolls are so good. I love the Dynimite roll, The green dragon roll and Mango Shrimp roll. The seafood fried rice is also always worth the calories. The shops cute they give you Bibs for the boil. The service is okay. But the food is the real star. My favorite way to get rid of my sushi craving.

Ordered the seafood fried rice with the BOGO offer from ubereats. It comes with shrimp and small scallops. Portion was ok but the flavour was very flat with mild spice. We also ordered the takoyaki, which were the saddest looking takoyaki. They were deep fried and there were no bonito flakes or toppings. Inside were mushy and doughy. Very disappointed with this, considering this is partially a sushi restaurant as well.

Two years after my initial visit which led to rave reviews and I'm happy to report this rating still stands. I came here tonight for their standard AYCE offering, which has went up to $33.99 on weekdays, $35.99 on weekends due to inflation but I still find that this is worth it. I believe they did remove some of their sushi offerings (like standard nigiri) which was slightly disappointing but you can still satisfy your sushi craving with hand rolls, green dragon, red dragon, and dynamite rolls. Either way, their boil is the star of the show for me. Their house blend sauce is delicious and I love how they drench the seafood in the sauce. After dining at some competing restaurants that offer boil, this place is definitely superior. Their AYCE includes soft drinks and mango pudding too which is a nice bonus. I also came here on a previous occasion recently to just get their 1lb seafood boil (+2 sides) offering where I got mussels, potatoes, and corn. Again, I was super impressed with their portions in comparison to a larger competing seafood boil spot. Service has always been great during my visits. Extremely attentive. Pro tip that I learned from having their AYCE a few times now... place your orders in several small rounds throughout the visit so you can enjoy the seafood boil while it's hot. You don't get as nice of a spread but it ensures you can keep a good pace and the food doesn't sit for long and get cold.

Fresh Sushi at a great price. I'm surprised that this is not a busy place. They only have a limited choice of sushi sets and they are made fresh. They have a new item of hamburger with shrimp and cuttle fish pattie. The price is $5.99 and they have great taste and they even toasted the buns.

3.5 stars What drew me here was the good reviews and the simple and pleasant decor. What made me wary was the large menu of sushi, seafood boil, and AYCE options. I have more confidence in restaurants with smaller menus that optimize the limited menu but Meet Sushi and Boil did a decent job. Our group order a la carte sushi all around, not being fans of seafood boils. Even being the only table we order a lot and it came out very quickly! The sushi looked great, the rice to ingredient ratio was good and the price was just right. All the fish was good, not sinewy. The only draw back for me was the sushi rice. It didn't have much flavor to it. Not sweet, salty nor sour enough. And for sushi, the rice is what makes or breaks it. Maybe it was a bad batch? Lastly, this place doesn't serve hot tea at all which, for being a sushi restaurant is blasphemous! lol. And after skipping morning coffee and assuming a sushi restaurant would have hot green tea to gently wake me up, this had to be mentioned. They do, however have water and pop.

Truly 3.5 stars. Came with some friends for a random lunch. Their pricing is amazing. If you are looking to get a bang for you buck, definitely try out their ACYE menu. We opted for the a la carte menu since we weren't starving. The sashimi was nice, same with their spicy avocado. Definitely will try it again for dinner to try their Boil menu. Interestingly, they serve room temperature water... and do not offer hot tea. They do have pop. But most Asian restaurants have their staple tea. A disappointing fact.

I went today for brunch with my family at 12:30 luckily I made a reservation as the place is too small and it gets too busy. The food was great and tasty. The sushi and sashimi are fresh. The only downside is the serving of the tea as it does take awhile as they have to boil water every time. Ambience is okay.

I believe they changed their restaurant to the new name Meet Sushi and Boil. I came during their new AYCE promotion, $30 for seafood and sushi (best combo ever!) The last day is August 20th for the promo. I called in earlier during the day to get a reservation for 6:30pm for 4 people. The staff and service were amazing, and the food? LOVED IT. 10/10. The menu is limited but still had some really good options. The portions were big and super super filling. Everyone left super full after dinner. We ordered 2 lbs of shrimp and 2 lbs of mussels (Cajun and garlic butter flavours, medium spicy, + 2 sides: potato and broccoli). The medium spicy has a good spice to it, and the flavours really added a good touch to the seafood. I love how you can get 2 sides with it as well. The sushi was amazing! I loved the plating of everything, and everything tasted fresh. Sushi is usually a hit or miss, but this place hits the spot for me. All the appetizers we ordered were really good as well. ORDER THE CAJUN FRIES!!! So good. Overall, the service was amazing, the food came out fast, staff were super nice, restaurant was spacious, and the food was great! I highly recommend coming here and taking advantage of the AYCE promo happening right now. Also, 10% off if you pay in cash. So worth it!

A good place to get a bang for your buck with variety! Most AYCE places range upwards of $40 for dinner but this place was $30 for AYCE sushi and shrimp/mussel boil platter. Though I've had better sushi and more options at other AYCE places, this was a great deal for what you got. The sushi was mediocre but the boil sauce was amazing. Wish there were more side choices but for the price, you can't go wrong to satisfy quick cravings. The place is quite small and felt like we were talking and everyone heard our conversation because of how quiet everyone was and how small the place is, if ambiance matters to you. Definitely recommend and will come back! :) wish there was dessert though to cleanse your palette at the end

Noodles, It is nice to Meet you. I love noodles and especially XXX spicy noodles. Extra numb and Extra Spicy please. The interior decor is nicely appointed and clean. Menu has enough items choice for both spicy and non spicy lovers. Hot and Sour Noodles with extra numb and spicy was ok. The portion is smaller than competitors. I am not sure if there is any free noodle refills because there was nothing indicated in their menu. If they do, I do love to have at least one refill! Service was prompt and friendly. I might give them another try.

I'm here almost every other week (at minimum). I'm actually going again tonight! I've had both the sushi and the boil, and um... sushi in boil sauce (highly unorthodox, but very tasty). It's nice to be able to order from both concepts, or go back and forth. I appreciate variety. Let's start with appetizers and sides. I've head the fries taste like Costco fries. I don't know what Costco fries taste like, so I can't say. They're crispy though. Tempura is good. Crispy. Batter is light. Takoyaki is fairly inexpensive at $4.99/5 pieces. Baked mussels are delicious. Cheesy, mayo-y goodness. They've also got $1 oysters right now (dine in special, not officially on their menu) and they're malpeque. Sweet and fresh! On to mains! At this point, I've tried most of their boil options (shrimp, clams, mussels, crawfish, snow crab, lobster). I have yet to do their king crab and their oyster boil, I think. They've got some seafood boil platters that basically allow you to try most of the options too. I usually get house boil sauce (combo of lemon pepper, garlic butter, and Cajun sauces), and mild spicy. I've heard Cajun on its own is pretty good too. I usually get their mussels because they're big and plump and I'm too lazy to peel all those shrimp and crawfish. I'd say they're equal to if not better than Captain's Boil, but at a few dollars cheaper per pound. I haven't compared them side by side though, so don't quote me on that. I've had their sushi too. It's better than ayce, but it's also not like super high end sushi. Dragon rolls are solid. Sashimi is pretty good. They've got new options like scallop, herring, mackerel, and spot prawn that are pretty tasty. They have a chirashi (rice bowl) that's $13.99 and has 14 pieces of fish in it, including 2 spot prawn, which I'd say makes it pretty bang for buck. If you're adventurous, eat the guts in the head. Those are delicious! I've done the AYCE once. Basically, if you eat 1lb of either shrimp or mussels, and then have at least 8 pieces of sushi + some appetizers, you've gotten your "worth" from it. Ayce is $30. Shrimp/Mussels a la carte is $15.99/lb. So all you need to do after that 1lb of seafood is eat $14 worth of sushi. Fairly simple to do, right? Or make it easier yet and just have 2lbs of seafood. Ayce promo ends this Friday though, unless they extend it. Oh! They take resos. Always make a reso cuz it's a small space and with COVID restrictions, it means they can only have like 4-5 parties eating in at once.

    Fancy packaging

We ordered takeout due to the lockdown. There was a BOGO deal for dynamite roll and any 2 sushi rolls from a selected list so we choose the rainbow rolls and red dragon. The packaging and presentation was wonderful. However for the taste of the sushi it was just okay. Not bad but not anything worthy to remember. A little saucy in my opinion. The Korean short ribs bento box wasn't bad either, but i can tell msg was used in their ingredients. Would we come back? Maybe not for the sushi but maybe give the seafood boil menu a try....

There was a very loud gentleman two seats from me who never learned to use his inside voice and totally ruined vibe. But that's not on the staff. Another note is that gratuity is automatic on the bill.
