Their boba is consistently good. The three times I've been here, every time, the boba is consistently good- soft and chewy. I've had their jasmine milk tea, strawberry rose milk tea with aloe and taro smoothie with boba. All have been great. My only concern and reasoning for not giving a 4-5 star is during my recent visit, none of the employees that I saw were wearing a face mask. With the recent COVID-19 pandemic, all patrons entering public establishments are required to wear face masks but why do the employees here think they're exempt. The cashier/barista working the front did not wear a face mask and two other employees, whom I assume were on their break sitting in a booth, also did not wear a face mask. I have worked customer service so I understand things get busy. I feel for the staff. However, I had a question regarding milk options and no info was given in their ordering kiosk. The person at the front was busy and assumed I was there to order. She quickly dismissed me and almost sounded mad at me that I didn't order at the kiosk. I just had a question...and she didn't even give me a chance, just assumed I was too dumb to read the sign that said to order at their kiosk. Honestly only benefit of this place is that they are open later at night than other tea spots. But service here is horrendous. Dude working the counter looks miserable and like he hates life, doesn't even call out orders when they are ready. You're just somehow expected to know yourself. Good especially for college students who study a lot and love boba. The boba is not stale and tastes fresh. The atore also gives free 3 topping of boba, pudding and mango popping boba. Plus, the drinks taste pretty good but a bit sweet for my taste so I recommend getting it at around 50%-75% sweetness. I'd say the same thing for the meal foods too, the pork sauce is a bit salty. But the snacks are great tho. I highly recommend the fried tofu. The workers are pretty nice. However the check in thing offer is closed now so they technically don't offer it even tho it still shows here which kinda sucks but thats ok. I think what I like the most is that this place is catered specifically for college students who are studying because the seats are comfy so that those who are there for long hours like students don't have a sore butt by the end of the day and the extra sugar in the drinks helps keep them awake. There are charging ports at each table so ppl don't need to fight for an outlet. In addition the store is open for long hours(till 12 or 1 am) so students can rlly study for long hours. With so many tea places around and not a huge difference, this Meet Tea made an impression on me with their friendly service. My friend and I were in the area after dinner, and we were up for a light dessert (meaning boba or something), so we picked one that was nearby and not a place we've tried. My friend got a boba drink, I opted for a goji berry tea like an old granny. We shared some fries/popcorn chicken combo. My drink was decently flavorful. I'm a fan of these type of herbal drinks, but never really know how much of what dried herbs to add in. Best thing is that I'm not just consuming more sugar and caffeine late in the evening. Food was mediocre, maybe I'm somewhat full from dinner or had to order mild for my friend, just convenient snacks to munch on. We were chit chatting and playing games for like 2 hours or so. They have some boardgames and card games available at the store. The staff came by a few times to check on us and especially provide refills to my tea. I was somewhat surprised, thought that pot would be one and done. As a tea drinker, I can go through lots of refills in one sitting. I wasn't expecting the staff to have refilled my tea like 2-3 times. When it was getting late, she went ahead and switched it up to a to-go cup, with the goji berries in a tea bag, and offered one last refill before we left the store. Seems like the other bad reviews might be talking about this same young female worker that I also had. Otherwise, if there are 2 like her, I feel really sorry for the business. I really hope the manager sees this, but if the manager doesn't do anything about it, ALEXIA, you are acknowledged here for giving the worst customer service. IF it was busy, I would completely understand, but only 4 blended drinks and 3 orange juices were made in the 30 minutes before my 3 drinks were finally made. Below was what I ordered: 1) I asked if the watermelon juice with boba could be turned into a watermelon slush. She answered no. 2) I then asked to order a strawberry smoothie with boba, she said ok, but then said it's actually strawberry banana. Ok sure 3) my son wanted a mango drink they had on a poster next to the register, Alexia said they don't have the ingredients for that, ok, I talked my son into getting the cookies n cream with boba 4) I then asked for a recommendation of their most popular tea and ordered the chrysanthemum tea for my mom My mom was so upset that Alexia purposefully took long and we both also saw her eat a snack in the middle of making our drinks. My mom wanted to give Alexia a piece of her mind, but held back since my 2 young kids were with us. Overall, WE WILL NEVER AGAIN GO BACK and I don't recommend that place to anyone as long as Alexia still works there. good place to do work in, there's plugs under the tables and there's a lot of seating! they have a pretty good amount of food and drink options too for sweet and savory. i was a bit disappointed when i got the beef curry from the looks of it but the taste wasn't bad actually (though it might be from powder if that matters to anyone). i also liked their squid balls and fries. i think the major thing is that the place itself might benefit from a renovation (thought it was mostly clean, it didn't look like it-type of old). no red flags though, like a 3.5. i wouldnt mind going again read more

I ordered: 1) Japanese cold noodle which is the typical cold soba. I would say it's 3 out of 5, it's nothing special just your normal ordinary cold soba. If they had a different flavor noodle or different topping on it to make it more unique would be more pleasing. 2) two kind of snacks: fried tofu & chicken with medium level of spiciness. I would say it's 3 out of 5, because it wasn't spicy at all being a medium level. It's missing the basil leave taste that you usually get when ordering fried things from tea places. Maybe it's their style but not suitable for me. 3) honey black tea is 5 out of 5. I love the idea that they have XL size and the taste is perfect. 4) earl grey black tea is also 5 out of 5. So I tried again, and it was taking 5 mins to process then I got an error message. Went to the counter and was ignored by the servers for 5 mins then finally I told the girl it didn't work then she took my order. When it came to the boba it was sub par at best. Sadly, it was the one of the worst oolong milk tea I have ever had. There was no oolong tea flavor and tasted like sweetened milk. Ambiance feels a little too dark and did not feel comfortable. However, if you are looking for a tea place with snacks then this place is it. They have a good amount of tables for seating. It is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. However, it can get very packed considering all the restaurants and stores in the plaza. I might give it one more chance and try a different drink next time. Came here the other day late on a Christmas day and was pleasantly surprised that they were open. They have some creative drink combos such as the 'Harry Potter' but also a solid collection of traditional/basic drinks. Stopped in after hot pot a tea drink. Right now, they make you order and pay at one kiosk. We took our time perusing the menu and a line formed behind us. Not the best - maybe they should have a menu available or posted to look at. I ordered the passion fruit green tea with boba and my friend treated me and paid easily with his iWatch, We waited a few minutes and was able to get our drinks. I got the regular size, 50% sweet and less ice and it was perfect for me. Pretty good tea flavor as well. The boba was meh - a little too mushy. It was a $5 drink and I enjoyed it/. This place is actually so filthy it's sad! Upon walking again I noticed there was only another 2 customers sitting there, turns out they were the only two employees! I understand if they're taking their lunch break and having to work or whatever the case is, however they had all their food and half drank cups on the table alongside their phone chargers, personal bags, and vape! They just left it there without picking it up and at one point it was attracting flies. The only time they would get up was when their order system would rang (for orders I supposed). In addition, the place needed a lot of cleaning. The bathroom was very filthy, tables had crumbs, and floor was covered in trash. The lamps on top of the tables also need some good cleaning and dusting! It's sad that such a good boba shop is neglected by its own staff, but wouldn't be surprised because as more staff members came in which looked like management, they didn't even care to bother that the employees had their filth out on the tables. I'm not sure if they don't have an employee break room? But it just doesn't look right to see that when walking in. In addition, as my partner and I were walking out, one of the management ladies who was brining in more food product nearly hit my partner with her car! I'm not surprised with the rest of the reviews mentioning the poor customer service and poor cleanliness + vaping inside the restaurant! Came here on a Sunday night and they were one of the few places that opened relatively late for the area. I love the interesting drinks that they have here. In addition to the regular boba drinks, they have a bunch of specials you can try. Passion chia-honey, lemon juice and passion fruit flavor with chia seeds. Harry Potter- butterfly pea flower tea mixed with yogurt drink. You can't adjust the sugar content here. If you like sweeter drinks and don't want caffeine, this is the drink for you Princess Anna- butterfly pea flower tea mixed with milk and taro flavor. This is also caffeine free and really good too! Fries- great snack to enjoy while sipping on drinks. You can get no spicy, mild, medium, or spicy on them too. Theres more seating for smaller parties, but I'm sure they can arrange seats if you had a larger group. Definitely check out Meet Tea when you're in the area! read more

Hmm... I was wrong about friendlier staff. I've come here often and while I do come often, it's more out of convenience rather than preference (they are the only local cafe that has wifi, outlets, and are open late). Today I went here and we were greeted promptly but although the words said "Hi" the face said "What do you want" and not in a caring way. I'm preeetty sure she's the manager there (her name is chelsea) and in my past experience here, she has given me and whoever I am with attitude when I see her there. I usually brush it off but today my boyfriend and I wanted to relax after work and school today. Chelsea took our order and tried to ask me "Do you want brown sugar milk or brown sugar milk tea" after I told her I wanted brown sugar milk tea. She even tried flipping the other menu to show me it. I know what I said and I always get brown sugar milk with boba. I brushed it off because I was thinking she just wanted to clarify my order. Nothing wrong with that but the way she said it was off-putting. She asked what size and if I wanted it with boba. I said regular and no. Then my boyfriend ordered and he has a serious problem with sugar (his body can't tolerate sugar as well anymore) so he asked for a simple iced oolong tea large, no sugar and less ice. Pretty simple and not easy to fudge up right? He even made sure to tell Chelsea again "No sugar". And her response was "Yeah, yeah". And I asked if I could get less ice too and she repeated "Yeah, yeah, anything else?" Nope. Our order only has two items. Welp. Apparently the manager didn't notify the employee about the no-sugar. I guess she just wrote it and expected her employee to follow through. Well her coworker didn't. There was sugar and he looked upset and discouraged. I told him to let them know he asked for no sugar and if they can fix it. I was listening, a bit worried he was going to be met with attitude, but the coworker seemed nicer than the manager. She redid the drink. Coworker came to give my boyfriend the drink which he liked (albeit there was waay too much foam on the top for some reason). Then I heard a commotion behind the bar where the manager was talking to the coworker about my boyfriend's drink how he asked for no sugar and then the coworker redid it and threw out the sugary one. I hope you didn't yell at her. People make mistakes and she handled it promptly and without further incidence. I guess the manager wanted to check on us because she came asking if the drink was "better". But it didn't feel sincere (Not even a sorry lol). I mean maybe it was miscommunication on someone else's part but management should be responsible for their employees because you guide and train them and oversee their actions during your shift. If something goes wrong, you are the first ones who should respond because it's YOUR business/restaurant/shop on the line. If you aren't managing your store and employees, what are you doing being a part of management? Anyhoo, we finished our game and without even mentioning that we are leaving or done, that same manager came and brought us our bill FAST. Woah there, Chelsea. I thought I was at a boba cafe not a DIM SUM restaurant. Thanks for being so attentive in getting us out of your store but could you wait until after we ask? We actually wanted to stay a bit longer but I guess you didn't want us there. And that's why your tip was 20 cents I didn't see you giving other people their bills, so why us? Why do we get the "special treatment"? My friend and i decided to come here after having dinner nearby on a Sunday night. When we walked in, the place looked pretty busy and most tables were occupied. The lady at the register asked if we wanted to dine in or to go.. we said dine in and took the empty booth by the door. The lady by and dropped off the menus. A couple minutes later the lady came by again and asked for our order but we haven't decided yet so we told her to give us a few more minutes. I looked at the menu and couldn't decide which drink to order because some of the drinks i couldn't tell what it is based on the name. Then a rush of people came in and the lady was busy helping them out so she did not check in at our table until about 20 minutes later.. the rush of people had all been served and left, we waved her down immediately to come to our table. I asked her what some of the drinks are like batman, sunset lemon and harry potter. Since i didn't want anything caffeinated i chose the sunset lemon and ordered the popcorn chicken mild spicy flavor. A few minutes later the sunset lemon came out first and the lady said shake well before you drink. I thought wow the drink looks pretty. Then as soon as i shook it, it became an ugly drink that's made with dirty water. I figured maybe it will taste really good! Nope, it wasn't the case. It was just lemon, honey and water.. I guess i could've made this at home myself instead of forking out $5+ for this drink. Then came the popcorn chicken. It basically lacked flavor. This place in 626 opens very late each night which is a huge bonus for those looking to grab some boba late night when most places are closed. I got the mixed fruit tea with their popcorn chicken. Overall the place was alright, their late hours is what led me to try the place however the drink I got was alright. I placed my order over phone and they forgot to enter it in and so I ended up waiting about 30-40 minutes at the place despite placing the order in advance. That was an unfortunate experience. MIXED FRUIT TEA - 2.5/5 ------------------------- I got the mixed fruit tea with 75% sweetness and light ice. The sweetness of the drink was balanced where it wasn't too sweet or too bland but the drink itself was still meh. Despite having real fruits inside I found the drink's taste too syrupy and the taste felt very artificial. POPCORN CHICKEN - 4/5 ------------------------- Popcorn chicken was nice and crispy while still being juicy. Wasn't as much popcorn chicken provided as I would have liked but it was still good.
