Worst experience with Mega Furniture, Mesa. When we placed the order everything went well, they said all the items that we purchased were in stock. But when we received delivery notification we noticed that some of the items were missing in the delivery list. When we called them they said few pieces were not in stock and they don't have an exact date when those items will be available. I don't understand their cancelation policy, NO CANCELATION. once we paid we have to wait for their mercy to deliver the items. I will never go there again, and won't recommend to anybody. read more

You know that feeling like you're being watched when you think you're alone? As soon as I entered the store, I was immediately approached by a young salesman. I can assure you that I am not intimidated by men in any way but I felt like I had a potential stalker. I put an immediate end to that. I told him if and when I needed him, I'd let him know. However, I was followed around the store anyway. I made it clear that I was leaving when I was approached again. I told them I was NOT buying anything and NO I would not be back. At any rate, I went to Ashley furniture and got a couple thousand dollars worth of stuff, PLUS, the guy that helped me actually did help me. read more

We made a purchase in-store 2 weeks ago and told to expect delivery this week. We phoned the store a week later for a status update and were told to expect a return call the next business day, but we received no calls. We phoned the following Monday, only to be told we "didn't respond to the text message" sent Saturday. Apparently the text was sent to the wrong phone number, despite the correct number being entered on our purchase paperwork and left again over the phone. To add insult to injury, we were informed our options were to either wait another 2 weeks for delivery or arrange time off work for delivery this Thursday. I chatted online with customer service on Monday morning and was told to expect a call from the delivery manager. Is it a surprise to find out it's Wednesday we have yet to receive a call?? Even better is the fact their website contact form sends error messages every time I use it. With the definite exception of our salesman Rob at the store, this is abysmal customer service and if it wouldn't cause even more inconvenience, we would cancel our order. We will be certain to inform family and friends of our experience. HORRIBLE. read more

Terrible experience. A friend and I were looking to buy a few pieces of furniture, ready to buy, cash in hand. Mike, one of the sales reps greeted us at the door, which was great, however he wouldn't leave us alone, and we couldn't actually take the time to look at what they had to offer. We came across a couch that looks very similar to my current one but I bought mine for 350 and this one was marked at 1200 at mega furniture, when I inquired, Mike got all worked up and said what I owned was not quality and that if that's all I can afford then take my business elsewhere. My friend and I just walked out. My current couch sits just fine, and like any other American, I will continue to be a bargain shopper. Congrats mike here is your "first" review under 4 stars. I purchased not one but 2 queen mattresses from Mega Furniture and was promised delivery several times and several times they failed to deliver. The mattresses were going to different address and the 2nd mattress took so long that we went to the store and demanded a refund but the refused. This was a foam mattress so they had them in the store and the manager was such a jerk he told me I could take the one he had in stock in the store but refused to help me load it or any of his employees and told me if I didn't leave his store he would call the police. After a few month the box springs started to break and the mattresses are horrible. I've tried calling several time but never once did I get a call back. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Love the selection and financing at this store. I'm what you would call "credit challenged" however I was able to get financed through their company, they just check your bank account to make sure you don't have any bounced checks in 3 months, (Interest is steep if you don't pay it off in 90 days) The prices were reasonable, especially for the sale that was going on, and the sales guy was super helpful. I had a pretty good experience in the store here, salesman Mike was great and left me alone until I found what I wanted and gave me a great price on the dresser I chose. Then the bad- delivery was supposed to be two weeks, and instead it took two months. Delivery window I was given was 10 hours, sometime between 8 AM and 6 PM...and then they ended up showing up at my house at 9:30 at night! So I did get the dresser I ordered, and I thought I got a decent price so all's well that ends well?? If you can be patient and wait a really long time... I was very disappointed when inside the store I was the only person wearing a mask- including every customer in the store and every employee. While trying to distance from everyone maskless employees kept following me around. Don't follow your customers around the store if you are not going to abide by public health recommendations or your stores policies. My wife and I have purchased from this store a few times and have always loved the furniture as well as the price. We just special ordered a sectional. We worked with John on exact dimensions, color, fabric, design, etc. He got everything right and after about 6 weeks it was delivered. Everything was perfect. This sectional is beautiful and extremely comfortable. We also shop at American Furniture but Mega has a much higher quality of furniture. Don't let the pricetags fool you. They will work with you on price and you get a very good discount. Our speacial order sectional was 30% off their normal price. I never heard of a special order discount. A great place!! read more

We bought a reclining sofa and loveseat in Oct.2021. They delivered it when I was out of town, when I got back I noticed one of the recliner was not working properly and one of the ends of the sofa was lower at the top and was not even with the other two pieces on the sofa. When I called them I was sent to the warranty dept. After many, many phone conversations, they agreed to replace the mechanism. They said once they change it, it should be the same height as the other two pieces. It is still not corrected. When I talked to them again, they said the manufacturer would not replace the defective section. The people at the store including Liz (Manager) is very nice but has no authority for anything like this. That section should have been replaced. We were remodeling the house at the time and didn't move in until 2 weeks before Christmas. I will NEVER buy anything from that store again. They will NOT back it up if there is something wrong. I purchased a tall dresser in early December 2021, for our daughter. They said it would be 6-8 weeks. I called in early February, asked for an update and they said, "It will for sure be here by end of February." It's now April and no update. When I asked for a refund, they advised they don't give refunds and I'll just have to wait for the piece of furniture. My daughter turns 18 in December 2022, so by the time they get the dresser (if ever), I won't need it anymore! And I won't be able to get my money back! The way they got me to purchase in the first place, was by telling me that they had the piece of furniture at another store and they were going to bring it into their warehouse for delivery to me. Turns out that was a lie, as there was never any dresser available at another store! I trusted them to be honest, but they weren't! My advice is, don't buy anything from them unless it is in stock and you can tangibly touch it and load it before you leave their store! Sadly, they cannot be trusted! read more

BUYER BEWARE - this store does not allow cancellations to ANY order. When I was purchasing a coffee table and end table (on NOVEMBER 12th), I was told by the Associate that they couldn't give me a delivery date. Due to their "no cancellation" policy, I asked the Store Manager, Liz, to put in writing that if my items weren't delivered by a certain date that I COULD cancel the order and get a refund. She chose the date of January 31st (13 weeks later). Each time I called the store to inquire about the status of my order, I was told the delivery was pending, but they couldn't give me a date. On January 27th, I was told by the Associate that they would not be getting the furniture. When I asked for my refund, she said I needed to talk to the Manager. I spoke to Liz and was told I needed to wait until the 31st. Absurd since it was obvious that the items weren't ever coming in. When I called again on the 31st, I was told by Liz that she would check to see if she could get the items from other Mega Furniture stores. She indicated she would call me the next day. She didn't. When I called the store and spoke to her, it was obvious that she hadn't done ANYTHING. She delegated the task of contacting other stores to an employee named Raul. I was supposed to get a call back on Feb. 1st, but I didn't. On Feb 2nd after I called the store yet again, Raul informed me that no other stores had the items. I requested my refund again. He first tried to get me to purchase something else. I didn't want anything else since I am trying to "match" other furniture that I have. He said he would "process my refund". On Feb 3rd, I stopped at the store to get my receipt for the refund. Raul couldn't find it. Then it dawned on him that he was told by Liz to contact "Upper Management" to get approval for the refund. This has been incredibly frustrating. This store is a joke. They have had my money since November 12th. They put in writing that I would get a refund if not delivered by Jan. 31st, yet it's Feb 3rd and I'm still waiting for my refund. Potential buyers be forewarned! read more

I purchased a power reclining loveseat and table. The purchase experience went well. I enjoyed working with Miriam, she was extremely helpful. I arranged for delivery after my place was finished being painted. The table was delivered first. the movers did a good job with it. The loveseat came in second. As the movers brought in the loveseat, I heard a loud noise, like the leg scraping across the door jam. The mover who was at the back of the couch stopped, looked at me, then continued into the house. The loveseat was not damaged, nor was the door frame. I thought everything was fine. Before the movers left, one of them handed me a phone and said I needed to tell the office the furniture was delivered. I told the person on the phone the furniture was delivered and it looks good. Two days later I was sitting on my new loveseat and I noticed a deep divot running the width of the entertainment center adjacent to the front door. It wasn't the door jam the couch scraped, it was my new entertainment center. I called Mega furniture and spoke to Jake who directed me to the delivery department. Cynthia in the delivery department told me that since I did not report the damage when it occurred, they are not responsible. The mover from ReDelivery knew he damaged it. He stopped moving the loveseat as soon as it happened. I asked her, where in my paperwork does it state that damage must be reported at the time and she said, "that is our policy, it's not in writing anywhere." read more

DONT BUY FROM THIS STORE!! We were in the market for a recliner, so we stopped into the store. The sales lady Meredith was absolutely wonderful!!!!. That's where the good part ends. We found a recliner we liked and purchased from Meredith. It took a week to get it delivered, my wife was home they brought it. Upon me getting home I sat in the chair and knew it was not right. It is wobbly and some of the power buttons only work when they want to. We called within a couple of hours of delivery. We were then we had to take pictures and video of the problems. Then told it would take several days to get word back from the company. I then told them to come and pick it up and return it for refund. They tell us it would be a 40% restocking fee. So I told the Manger Mark they were nuts and crooks. THEY WANT $308.00 for restocking fee, and that's on top of the $100 skinner fee we already paid. FOR SOMETHING WE HAVE NOT OR COULD NOT USE. Now we have to wait another 2 days to get the new one (that we don't really want now, but not paying over$300 for nothing). So we spend$1000 for something we can't use and have to wait again. Firms looking for a good sales person I would go after Meredith!!!! Everyone else stay away from MEGA FURNITURE they are a joke and very very poor customs service. This is my opinion alone. This Mesa location was exceptional in every way. The staff was polite, helpful and Kara, the general mgr, was amazing! Buying furniture can be very stressful and sometimes pressuring. Kara and her staff were very accommodating with our needs and helped us find what we were looking for. From start to finish it was a very pleasant experience. This is the second time I've done business with Mega Furniture. My first experience was Immaculate compared to this time. I ordered a couch on December 5th put down $300 and was told the couch will be delivered within 2 days. The couch was never delivered and I never got a phone call confirmation email or text message from the company. I called them on the 8th and ask them about where my couches and when should I expect delivery. They said no there's no way we could have delivered your house in two days you will get your couch tomorrow which would be the 9th of December. I called the 602 number listed on my receipt at 8:30 in the morning on the 9th to ask about around what time the couch will be delivered and the young lady put me on hold for 5 minutes, then came back to the line to tell me it will not be delivered until tomorrow which would be December 10th. I hung up the phone with her called the actual location located in Mesa spoke with the lady that answered the phone. She's not sure why my couch hasn't made on the truck twice now. So I suggested perhaps they could at least for my inconvenience credit me the delivery charge of $100. She said she's not authorized to do so but she will talk to the person who is and return my phone call. About 4:45pm the same day I called the number again and actually got a hold of the person who is authorized to do everything. I told him at this point I would rather just cancel the entire thing and go somewhere else that can give me a couch today. He said I can't cancel unless I want to pay the $500 restocking fee. I didn't know they needed to restock something that I never received. But anyhow, he said that yes my couch should be delivered tomorrow which will be December 10th and they will credit me the $100 delivery charge. Meanwhile all this is been a very big inconvenience to wait for the delivery of the couch, me and my kids have been sitting on the floor because I've already sold my other couch, and I've been getting the runaround from these people for no reason at all. This will be the last time I do business with them and I'm usually a very loyal customer. Please work on your customer service and the follow-through on delivery especially when somebody is already made a down payment on the furniture. read more

Going to start out with the quality of the $2500 couch we purchased 8 months ago. Broken twice already. We are now on the second time and this time the repair is going on to the second month! Getting the run around over and over. The warranty we purchased apparently does not go to effect until a year after we own it. And according to Mega Furniture the factory warranty takes forever! If I could return this couch I would not hesitate. I am not even sure if this is going to happen. Stay away from this store and its furniture from China. You may as well leave your money at the front door and get back in your car and go to a real furniture store. They play games with the prices as well. I'm surprised at the bad reviews honestly. I went in with my son after looking through multiple stores for a bunk bed. I had a hard time finding something that was sturdy, not too expensive, and nice looking. As soon as I walked in I was approached. I told her what I was looking for and she showed me a twin over full metal bunk. My son was thrilled. I tested it out and told her I needed to call my hubby. I couldn't get a hold of him and had to pass on the bed. She was very friendly and said if I changed my mind to come see her. That weekend I went back for the bed. The lady from before was not working so another one helped out. I purchased the bed with delivery scheduled for 3 weeks out. Within 2 weeks the bed came. Two guys set it up within 30 minutes, carried out the trash, and left. My son adores his bed and we are very pleased with the entire experience. I'll be back for an entertainment center soon and update my review whether positive or negative, but for now 5 stars. read more

If there was a way to give a NEGATIVE star like a MINUS TEN - I would do it. I have waited since March to leave this review - assuming STUPIDLY that customer service would actually perform. We purchased a Bella Vista memory foam bed and a cool gel pillow. When the items were delivered we were unable to unwrap them as the flooring was still being installed. But I noted on the delivery sheet I signed to that effect. Once we opened the "boxes" which our memory foam mattress sits on - there were two small tears in the fabric covering the box. When I opened the pillow it was water stained on both sides - very visibly. I contacted the store and was referred to customer service where I was requested to send pictures of the damaged items which I did immediately (3/15/2013). I am still waiting for ANYONE to give enough of a rat's patoot to resolve my issues. You would think it would be an easy exchange on the pillow. Not so. They are waiting for a mfg. credit. For stains that were likely received while the pillow sat in Mega's warehouse. I am SCREAMING BLOODY MAD at this point and no one gives a hoot. I'm ready to PICKET in front of this store - but hope that by ranting and raving here I'll save someone else the headaches!!! Were the prices good, you bet, or we wouldn't have purchased there. Was our salesman great, you bet or we wouldn't have considered another purchase (we did not complete it since we can't get our first purchase issues resolved). Everyone else SUCKS!!! Oh, and today, I was told that the entire customer service department has been revamped or replaced or reconfigured or whatever the hell else lies I'm being told and was told when I phoned today around 2pm that I would receive a call right back - I phone back at 4:30pm and had to resend the 4 pix proving the damage and was told I would receive a call back before 5pm and it's now 4:52pm (yep, they've still got 8 mins. but I'm tired of waiting!). VERY UNHAPPY! I purchased a dining room table set in 2012 and paid the extra $200 for a 5 year extended warranty that the sales lady said covers EVERYTHING. Wrong! I called today for a repair and nothing that I called for was covered. My bench is completely coming apart at all of the seams and one of my chair pads completely came off with the underside cracked in half. Both of those items are vital to the usage of the set and neither one is covered. But they say they cover stains, scratches, pet stains, etc - non of those are really necessary to use the table, but the items that are they do not cover. DO NOT Waste your money on the extended warranty!! I have a call in to customer service, so we will see what happens. Overall I feel that they offered a cheap quality product and lied about their extended warranty service. read more

This is not about the store itself, this is about the customer service at the higher level. I bought a huge dining room table and it was very expensive. The table is wood and it has cracked. They came and fixed the crack but that did nothing. Were it was fixed it has cracked worse. The corporate office customer service keep telling me that it is the manufacturer, and that they are waiting for them to respond, and that I'm on the top of there list. Which is crap because I have to call them no response and it has been over two months now. I bought the table from them not the manufacturer. And they should be honorable and exchange this table. The salesman I worked with at Mega was great and very helpful. Unfortunately, it's been all downhill from there. I ordered a sectional the weekend after Thanksgiving. It arrived the week of Valentine's Day - 3 months later, yikes! Then, one of the power recliners broke after only 6 weeks of mild use. It took 4 weeks for Mega to even schedule a repair with me. The repair is still 3 weeks out, so that will be 7 weeks total to get the repair done. Not only that, but when they schedule the repair they won't give you a time window. You have to keep the whole day, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., open until the day before, when they will call with a 3 hour time window. Only order from Mega if you have tons of patience. read more

I walked into the store and walked around for about 40 minutes. As I walked around I wasn't once asked if I need assistance. I found the furniture I wanted and went to the front to ask for assistance. The manager was about to leave the store for the day and said he would go ahead and assist me (well gee thanks). I felt like because I was young that they thought I wasn't going to purchase anything. Even if i wasn't going to purchase anything, they should of at least asked if I needed assistance. Purchased a sleeper sofa today from Mega. We had he most wonderful service from Tammy who is a new employee and Sam the store manager. She admitted that she was new that she would have ask a few questions. Sam returned with her and both of them spent over 45 minutes answering questions and helping us make decisions regarding fabric choices and answered all of our questions. Sam even made a call to the owner of the furniture company who would be building our sofa to make sure we could get what we wanted.. WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND MEGA. We had looked for a sleeper sofa for months and at every store near us. Mega had what we wanted and we could order with the fabric we wanted it is not a" take what we have or leave it " store. A true furniture store Lowell and Janet Wilson Got a call today from Mega that we would not receive our sofa for at least 2 more weeks have company coming to stay and they were going to use the sofa DISREGARD WHAT WAS SAID ABOVE ,NEITHER THE STORE MANAGER AT MEGA OR RICHARDSONS KEPT THEIR WORD. The did write on our receipt that it would be 4 to 6 weeks but we were assured we would have it by the first week in March. We feel that the 4 to 6 weeks was a CYA knowing that we would not have it by the time promised by both Richardson's and Mega.
