Seems like this place is a local institution but I just don't get it. The food is expensive and most of it has been precooked and is sitting out to be reheated. Service is fast and friendly, but they are cash only. It is 2025, no one carries cash but they're happy to charge you to use their ATM. No reason to return and we won't. read more

We have been venturing at a few brunch places lately. It has been a while since my last visit and I was pleasantly surprised that this place remains very reasonably priced. It is cash only but that did not put us off. We sat outside and the service was fantastic. Our server made sure we always had a full beverage and let us have a full beverage to go as well. My vegetable omelette was nice and fresh. The restaurant is very accommodating by letting me swap out home fries for spinach. Definitely will come back. Maybe inside next time as we had a few uninvited guests - yellow jackets but it is that season and it is open air outside. read more

** CASH ONLY!!! ATM inside, fee is $2.50 ** I was in the area for an orthodontist appointment. Unfamiliar with the area, I had Yelp help me find something. Ended up stopping into this very cute and small restaurant. Not many parking spots in their lot so try to consolidate cars if you can. The service here was absolutely PHENOMENAL. Both waitresses were genuinely so kind, very attentive, and were able to predict what I needed before I needed it. There's about 10 tables here total inside, some tables outside (but didn't get a look). The tables can turn over fast because the food came out very fast. I ordered a simple breakfast: scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, and toast. I thought the taste was not bad, but didn't blow my mind. My meal seemed to be completely unseasoned (which I didn't mind because I don't like adding salt to a lot. There's salt and pepper at the table.) This won't be the best breakfast you've ever had, but for the price (my meal pictured including coffee was $14.84) seemed appropriate and the speed and quality of the service really blew me away. This is not somewhere to bring friends or family if you want to sit and chat and take up tables for an extended amount of time. Be mindful they don't have a lot of table tops so it may be rude to loiter too long. (Not that I was given that impression, but it filled up fast!) But they committed the cardinal breakfast spot sin in my book: the homefries were vastly underseasoned, making them just a pile of fried potatoes. Some salt and hot sauce made them reasonable, but it's so easy to fry up a little onion and salt along with the potatoes. My pancakes were decent, a huge portion but not amazing or bad in and of themselves. My wife's custom egg white omelet met her needs. Overall not a bad experience but not a memorable one either. Such a cute little place!!! My son and I came here after his nearby dr appt. Food was fast, hot and tasty. I had a MYO omelet (bacon, mushroom and cheddar) with home fries and rye toast. I'm not even lying when I say I could eat this omelet every day and be content. It was cooked perfectly, ingredients were well balanced, and plentiful enough that I ate the leftover for my work lunch the next day. So, I'm munching on the rest of my brunch from yesterday - chicken salad triple club with homemade chips - and I'm so glad my wife and I made the drive to come visit. It's a small place, only takes cash, and it's a bit cozy, but that shouldn't stop you from checking it out. They have a great selection of breakfast and lunch options, so there's something for everyone. And the portions are huge! The service is super homey and comforting. Even though this was our first time, we felt like regulars. My wife made her own omelette, and it came out quickly, plate overflowing with goodness. The hash browns were perfectly cooked, just the way she likes them. And the coffee was always refilled, and they even gave us a bonus cup if we wanted it. The plates are cleared quickly, but they don't rush you out of the door. In the end, this little gem of a diner/restaurant is hidden and fantastic. Never had any issues, wait staff checked in on us regularly. Very friendly place, very reasonably priced, $22 plus $5 tip for our meal. No credit cards, so bring cash or use their atm for $2.50 owners fee plus whatever your bank charges, wish I knew that before going, my fault on that, but the food and service outweighed the cash only part. I was not surprised that Meghan's is just as good for lunch as it is for breakfast! I had a bowl of Maryland Crab Soup and an order of home fries. Both were delicious and it was a very cheap lunch. Jackie is always wonderful. She always has a huge smile on her face and is SUPER friendly. I love sitting at the counter and watching the kitchen prep. They also have a wonderful outdoor dining area. We have not been out to breakfast in over months with the pandemic. A couple drive thru experiences at the local McDonalds did not fulfill my breakfast experience. So decided to try Meghan's. I was able to place an order and pay easily on their website. Pickup was easy and server was friendly and had a smile. Food was good. I got an egg sandwich, French toast for the wife and pancakes to try. Will repeat. They seem to have curbside contactless service down pretty well so I, as a germaphobe was comfortable with the experience. Will definitely return. read more

Meghan's offers diner-style fare in a family-friendly "everyone-knows-your-name" kind of environment. Remember that it is cash only (though they do have an ATM on site)! Stopped in for brunch around 11 AM on a Sunday; there were 4-5 parties ahead of us waiting for tables, but we probably only waited around 15 minutes to be seated. Service was prompt and courteous, but you can definitely tell they're aiming to turn tables over efficiently --- the check was on our table just moments after our food and my friend was offered a "to-go" refill on her water when she requested a refill after our plates had been cleared. Both are reasonable for a busy place, but I would recommend another restaurant if you're looking for a leisurely Sunday experience where you can linger and chat. As far as the food, I chose the veggie omelette and was given my choice of cheese (I picked feta). The omelette was good, though nothing special and there was a solid 1/3 that was plain egg. Toast was barely toasted, though I guess that's better than burnt. I honestly can't remember much about the homefries, which is probably telling. The portions were substantial, so I didn't wind up finishing the whole plate. Prices are reasonable. The parking situation gets a bit tricky as you have to drive down a narrow path to park behind the building, which can be challenging if the lot is full and you have to shuffle around with a car that's pulling out. My son and I stopped here for breakfast on our way to a campus visit of a local university. Such a cute place with great service and excellent food. We were greeted with smiles and a good morning, which immediately made us feel welcome. The service was quick! We were on the clock to make our campus visit, but we were in and out in under 20 minutes. By the looks of it, we could have taken our time, no one would have cared. The team checked on us frequently to make sure we didn't need anything. My son had the waffles and I had the pancakes. Both were tasty and the portions were very generous. Thumbs up to the cooks! This is a small breakfast place where the staff is friendly and the service attentive. We ordered blueberry pancakes, and they were truly the most bizarre I've ever had. They were large rubbery disks that had absolutely no blueberry flavor. In fact, they didn't really taste like anything except salt. As an experienced cook, I tried to figure out exactly what you would have to do to get pancakes that rubbery texture. I've never come across a recipe that yields that sort of texture, then it dawned on me. The only way to get that texture is to put it in the microwave. The dish came out within a matter of a few minutes so that made sense. There is no way those pancakes came off of a griddle. They also don't offer real maple syrup, which for me is a big drawback as I don't use artificially colored artificially flavored corn syrup. The bacon was greasy and shriveled. The home fries whose description on the menu says cooked with peppers and onions arrived cold, bland, and tasteless, without a pepper or onion in sight. When they came around giving coffee refills, the waitress poured enough coffee into the cup to make a quarter cup of coffee a half. Typically, when you get a coffee refill it is to refill it to full, unless you specify otherwise, so that was odd. They are big on to go cups asking if we wanted the coffee to go. That seemed unnecessary since it was mostly gone already. read more

Prices were very reasonable and portions were fairly large. Meghan's does only breakfast and lunch, and they do breakfast right! It was about 11 AM and some folks were ordering what looked like a righteous Angus beef 8 oz, burger. We returned two days later for breakfast again, and as were were leaving early the next morning, also ordered a deconstructed chicken salad sandwich to go, to eat on the road. It too was delish. If you want a great breakfast or lunch, Meghan's is thee place. Be forewarned, the establishment is CASH ONLY, but they do have an ATM on premises. read more

On my first day in Pennsylvania, there was a power outage in the middle of my shower. Noooo!!! Fortunately all ended well, partly because my boyfriend's mom had the brilliant idea of eating breakfast at Meghan's instead of bearing the cold darkness. Even more fortune dawned upon us when we only had to wait 10 minutes for a table and got there before a mad rush began. It's a cozy little café, ideal for two to four people. The waitresses were super sweet and attentive. We ordered right away, and I had my eyes glued to the chalkboard of specials, especially the Greek omelette that came with sides of toast and potatoes. I thought it was going to be too much food, but I surprised myself my finishing the entire omelette, which I've never done before. It was probably because I hadn't been on the East Coast in years, and my body had worked up an intense appetite in the cold. That and I didn't eat most of the toast or potatoes. The toast tasted a bit stale, and the potatoes seemed undercooked. Oh well, I got to eat what I wanted off the plate! Full of eggs and toast and fluffy pancakes and coffee and all the things that make the earliest hours of the day great. The team of ladies who service the minute dining area are awesome. Their smiles and energy fill up the room. Another favorite aspect of this place is the neighborhood vibe. Our server remembered us from our first visit several weeks back, and was full of compliments about our (temporarily) well-behaving kids. Small breakfast joint. I got the western hoagie which was egg, cheese, ham and peppers on a hoagie roll. It was ok. I should have went with my gut and gotten the cream dried beef, as that looked AMAZING as it went past. Oh well, now I have another reason to come here in the future. The major downside of this place is the parking. There is some spaces up front but the majority of spaces are in a small lot in the back that you have to go down a narrow driveway to get to it. Not much room in the back to turn around if other cars are waiting to get in/out. read more

Despite the pace that the food arrives, they leave you alone to enjoy it. It's cash only, so come prepared or be ready to get hit with a reasonable, yet annoying ATM fee... but such is life. First time eating here. At first it looks like something easily missed but it is always packed. When you first walk in, looks like someone's house converted to a restaurant. Kinda works. You have to wait to be seated and when they do seat you they just kinda point to your table. It's ok considering it's always super busy with only about 5 waitresses. Only one table in front of us so we sat within 5 minutes. Ordered in 5 minutes, food showed up in 5 minutes. Crazy fast. Fortunately it tasted good. Pancakes with blueberries; I ordered the short stack so it was 2 decent sized pancakes. Not really fluffy; just basic but delicious. I also got a side of the most delicious bacon ever. 4 pieces unlike the usual 2 from everywhere else. My husband ordered the egg and steak sandwich. He loved it.
