Not my first time ordering from Mehak, but today I tried their Samosa and it was delicious. Their tamarind sauce is so good!

I went out for dinner with my wife and baby on a Friday (14/02/20) and we had to wait more than an hour after placing our order, and still were not served. Other guests who came in up to 30 mins after us were served in the meantime. There was not even one point in time where one of the waiters asked whether we needed a top up for our drinks or whether we needed anything else. After more than an hour, we got fed up, paid for our drinks and left. This was obviously a deliberate concerted effort to mistreat my family and never again will i step my foot in this establishment. Words can't really explain how my wife and I felt. I wouldn't wish this on anyone and I hope no one ever goes through something like this. Mahek Restaurant and their staff should be ashamed of themselves. I hope they realise how terrible their actions were when they look themselves in the mirror. What ever your reasons were, be it race etc., I say Shame on you. May your family or loved ones never be treated like this by someone else. read more

Very nice place with welcoming staffs. The food was so good that it made me one of their regular customers. Until now I've tried all their items on the menu and have no issues with any dish. Butter Chicken is one of my fav as they don't make it too sweet which some restaurants do. And, they've very affordable price as compared to other ones. We ordered takeout around 9:30 PM and received super fast service. The food was fresh and delicious and the portions were generous. We ordered the chicken biryani, chicken korma, naan and paratha. The biryani had a good ratio of rice to chicken with spices that brightened the flavors. The chicken melted in our mouths and the was a complementary texture to the rice and vegetables. The korma had a great creamy texture that fills your mouth but doesn't sit heavy in your tummy. It paired well with naan and/or paratha. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be visiting again when we are in the area. read more

Had the opportunity to try this place out and to my disappointment, I was not impressed by their take out portion. Wasn't sure if it was their normal practice or just plain stingy. What an insult, to be providing the customer in the container size which by the way I didn't even realize that size existed. The typical round container dish I'm used to seeing, well it was half that, SMALL! Ordered 4 dish, all came in that pathetic small round container, 5-6 chunks of meat in each, sauce...meh. Mehak has been a happy surprise! We found it one day over the summer and decided to try. Glad we did! The food is always very flavorful and nicely spiced. I highly recommend Mehak if you want authentic North Indian food. We got food delivered twice and loved it! Last time we ordered chicken saag and kadhi pakora, it was so delicious reminded me of my mother's cooking. Today we ordered fish pakora and goat curry and again were not disappointed. I requested mild spice level on both occasions and they really took care of it. The food is not soaked in oil or spice, it's like homemade Punjabi food. Reasonably priced buffet with good vegetarian selection. Seating is on the smaller side but reasonably priced buffet that IMhO cannot be beaten in the area. Absolutely loved Channa Batura. (Garbanzo beans and fried flatbread). Pleasantly surprised by flavorful Bitter-gourd and potato curry as well as Deep fried pakora fritters. Ambience is very no-frills and it was not a pleasant feeling when you are eating spicy food on a hot day with A/C unit in repair. I also thought price was extremely reasonable. Also I'd recommend that they not put too much oil in the hakka noodle and curry dishes (oil was oozing out of the noodles and they definitely tasted bland). There were little hairs (likely from cloth napkins or something) that I found in the dessert and on the naan. Those were the only downsides to this place. The Naan was fantastic, the portions are just right and the food was all delicious. The curry was done to perfection and the tikka was creamy. We will definitely order again. Please believe me when I tell you this is, hands down, in the top three Indian restaurants I I've eaten in, anywhere on the planet. Singh was a true gentleman and was very proud of his restaurant, with great reason. We tried Chili Chicken, Fish Pakora, Shrimp Tikka Masala, and Shrimp Kadahi. WOW! Each dish was prepared with care and presented equally as nicely. The flavors packed a punch and were perfectly balanced. Singh asked us to try the Gulab Jamuns, which we obliged. Once again, WIN!
