Spicy lo mein

I love this place! i've been going since i was 9 and i swear the workers never age! They have the most authentic Chinese food . The prices have rised over the years, but will pay a very good amount for a good portion of food. They do skimp on that shrimp though. And i love that fish tank in the restaurant i was always amused watching them when i was younger.

Food would be good, but they add too much sugar, so unnecessary and spoils the flavor. My shrimp lo mein was ruined by sugar.

Don't get the general tso chicken. It's hard as a rock. I haven't had it in awhile and thought to give it another try. Wrong!

I decided to order from here on a whim because I was craving Chinese food, and wow--I was not…read moreexpecting it to be this good! Whoever is cooking back there deserves a raise. It's hard to find solid Chinese takeout, but this place is fantastic, and I'll definitely be coming back. The lo mein had the perfect texture and vegetable ratio, the fried rice was seasoned beautifully, and the veggies had a nice crisp to them. The sesame chicken was especially impressive--most places serve it soggy within minutes, but here, it still had a great crunch despite being takeout. The sauce-to-chicken ratio was spot on, and the chicken pieces were just the right size. The spring roll was another highlight--still crispy with a great crunch, even after the drive home. If you're looking for quality Chinese food, this is the place to go.

If ambiance is your thing, this ain't the place. It's basically an indoor takeout window. There are…read moretwo tables inside but you get the impression they don't want you eating your food there. All the standard American Chinese take out menu items are here. Everything you are familiar with, including Egg Foo Young and a few others you can't always get elsewhere. This is my go to take out. Call ahead or order at the window. There's a lot of yelling in the kitchen, but I stay out of other folks' business, but the food is fast and moderately cheap.

Great place for lunch. My wife and I stopped by for a quick lunch. We ordered the Tang Su Yuk sweet…read moreand sour crispy pork and the Bokkeum Jja Jang black beans noodle platter. The portion here is hugeeeee. We couldn't finish it and had enough left over for dinner. The crispy pork was very crispy. We liked that the sauce was served separately. The noodles were good, but they weren't al dente enough for my liking.

Recently tried this restaurant and so glad we did. We ordered Kkanpung Saeu (Shrimp) and Haemul…read moreJjampong (Spicy Seafood Soup). The shrimp were delicious and prepared just like I'm used to. This dish is lightly battered fried shrimp with a soy sauce bases sauce with red pepper and black pepper spices. It also features other sautéed veggies like green peppers and onions. The shrimp were spiced nicely, but also had the flavor of black pepper coming through. A lot of places don't get that right. The perfect mix of that spice red pepper heat and hint of black pepper are exactly why I love about this dish. The shrimp were fried perfectly and the veggies deliciously sauted. The Haemul Jjampong was a flavor and spice bomb. The broth was so flavorful and had a great essence of the seafood in it (squid, mussels, abalone). This soup is also for people not afraid of the spice...it was SPICY, but no so much that it was unenjoyable. The spice complemented the flavor and I loved it. The take-home of the leftovers was just as good the next day! If I had to say anything that they might think of changing, would be the addition of kimchi to the banchan. The banchan was ddanmuji (pickled radish, raw white onions, marinated white onion slivers, and soy marinated peanuts). A little plate mat kimchi to wrap around the Jjampong noodles would be perfection.

I've written several reviews of this place over the years. Used to be my favorite. However, I am…read morenot sure if they got new ownership or what but the good seriously went downhill. I've been eating here for 17 years. I know what it used to taste like. Recently order 2 main dishes, several orders of dumplings, crab wontons, and Lo mein. The sauces are thin and flavorless now. The crab wontons tasted stale and rubbery like fried ahead. The wontons have changed shape a look like they are from H-Mart. Not what I expected from my former favorite spot. Not really interested in going back now.

Almost every order is missing egg rolls, and the sweet-and-sour sauce containers are often only half full or less. This latest order was the final straw. Not only were the egg rolls missing again (even after I specifically mentioned them in the order notes), but an entire meal was also missing. When I called the restaurant, I was told twice to get a refund through Uber Eats and then the employee hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak with a manager. After some discussion in another language, I was told the manager wasn't there. Mistakes happen, but repeatedly missing items and poor customer service when trying to resolve the issue are unacceptable. I have been a regular customer, but this experience has left me extremely disappointed. After multiple orders with the same issues and no effort to make things right, I won't be ordering from here anymore and cannot recommend this restaurant to others. They are expensive on Uber Eats and Uber doesn't always refund your full amount of money!
